Got these guys today. The Dogs of War army slowly grows.

Forgive the “unboxing video” quality of this post but it occurs to me many or most of you never bought Warhammer when it was packaged like this. It proved kind of an unexpected trip down memory lane.

Skink High Priest from Warhammer Fantasy Battle 8th edition

Tabletop figure (mini) from the 8th edition Warhammer Fantasy Battle. This model was painted by me somewhere around 2010-2012... Recently my friend decided he wants to try playing Age of Sigmar or other format, and wanted to buy my stack of unused Lizardmen models. Decided to get some "glam shots" of this fella, before parting ways. It does look good, and am pleased with how it all ended up looking. Of course, it is older paintjob, so I see many things I'd love to redo, but on the other hand for the past decade it did not bother me at all when it was collecting dust, so just letting him go, he finally will experience some tabletop battle action! A skaven weapon team armed with a warpfire thrower. Even with a team made up of two skaven is prone to infighting and backstabbing, with the fuel-bearer scheming to usurp the wielder, while the wielder remains paranoid of any attempts to usurp his coveted position.

At the same time, both members of the team have to keep their ears out from the numerous threats that come with being embedded in a hissing, chittering unit of clanrats. Although often the worst threats can be dealt with when the warpfire thrower 'accidentally' misfires.

But what legendary lord in total war warhammer is the best tumblr sexyman?

Ghorst. The dude is a forgettable villain in a campaign book for 8th, and is just so... pitiful, pallid, scraggly and unwashed. He's exactly the kind of sodden laundry pile that thirsty Tumblr people would tell you is actually one of the most interesting and fuckable characters imaginable and also there's a Google drive folder utterly loaded with fanfics about him.

People with large collections of 40k/WFB/AoS/etc rulebooks: if you organise them how do you do it? By edition, rulebooks followed by sourcebooks and army books? Or by faction? Rulebooks together, faction books together? Other?

Something remarkable to me is how much more effort fans of GW's non 40k games put into their stuff. I'm specifically thinking of TTS tables here, but there are other examples. The TTS Tables for AOS and WFB are pretty sweet, and well equipped to do what you need them too, whereas the 40k one is quite barebones. Same with the tables for army selection.

On other fronts, the effort of work Heresy players put into their Space Marine armies compared to 40k players is something else. Chaos players put about the same effort in i'd say but that's because Chaos players love kitbashing and making weird things no matter what game.
