Right, let's take it from the top.

Neopets was under the JumpStart brand for, let's say, the better part of the last decade? JumpStart itself is owned by Netdragon. I- Okay, let's skip the corporate summaries. JumpStart, who owned Neopets, went under just last month, not even three weeks ago. So, Neopets was sorta left... Adrift? Publically, at least. Right before JumpStart's plunge, the management, Dominic Law (who apparently had a Shoyru himself back in the day!) bought out the Neopets brand, and now Neopets is an independent company, World of Neopia, Inc..

That's the short of it.

With a management buyout comes a direct injection of funding that Neopets wasn't getting under JumpStart's management, so now the much larger TNT is going to try and revitalize Neopets.com!!! They want to move the older Flash games onto Ruffle, before converting as many games as they can to HTML5! They want to make Neopets mobile-friendly (I hope this mean Lutaris can visit their island again...)! They want to REINTRODUCE NEOHOMES (I have SO MUCH bottled sand!)!!! They want to introduce... A new plot????? After all this time????

Neopets Metaverse is... Going to remain up, but it's not going to be developed for, it seems??? Apparently they're just going to scavenge it for parts???

World of Neopets is going to be the game they're bringing those part to, and it's apparently going to be more along the lines of KeyQuest and Habitarium. It'll be a social life simulator where you live as a Neopet and travel through Neopia, it seems. I'm not expecting full third-person Tron things, but I do want to see how they do. Also:

Welcome Home Drawing Week Challenge - Day 3

Day Three - Favorite Ship/Friendship

So uh

While I must say I do enjoy many of the ships in the fandom, I have to say one of my personal favorites is Wally x Julie. So much of the fanart for it is just so cute, and I just love the fandom’s dynamics for them. That being said, I drew those two for this one. Don’t ask me why I decided to draw them dancing, I don’t draw characters dancing very often, but for some reason these two as well as my humanoid Home design just got me drawing some groovy peeps.

Anywho, enjoy!

Honestly, aside from maybe the lil hearts, you could very well see this as a platonic dance time if you aren’t a big fan of the ship. I love the pair as buddies as well so it works either way.

I had to adjust the anatomy on these two so many times cause for some reason I just couldn’t get it to look right at first 😅 I’m happy with the end result tho!

wondering about Frank and insects but specifically about how it looks like the WH insects are highly stylized, so does Frank even know anything about real butteflies/insects?

& if he saw a real one, would he recognize it? are all of the species names he applies to the WH bugs real, or are they all made up like "Vibrant Eyespot" or "Fluttering Heartwing"?

and then there's the question - does the neighborhood have some of the more 'undesirable' bugs like moths, worms, roaches, spiders? does it have bugs outside of the generic groups of beetles and butterflies? like are there mantids? leafbugs? dragonflies? weevils? or are those too specific/complex/not-cute for the Playfellow Workshop to have included?

and then there's the question of what are the bugs? props? puppets? are they alive or do the neighbors just perceive them as such? Do they even exist outside of art, storybooks, and animated segments? I highly doubt they're alive like the neighbors are, since in the gif of Frank's head spinning, the framed butterflies' wings are moving. which is kind of horrifying if you think about it for more than a second.

just... the critters Frank loves so so so much being a complete fabrication... every piece of knowledge he prides himself on / delights in knowing being utterly Untrue... oof

This is me responding to an ask from raye-6-art (I can’t @ you for some reason, sorry). I would’ve responded normally but thought this was a better way to go about it.

Cuz the Bloodmoon angst was sent, alright? I just kinda didn’t expect it to be that kind of angst (nothing against you, it just didn’t cross my mind), and I don’t know how to blur images in asks, or if that’s even possible, so it’s own post it’ll be.

I don’t actually know what I was expecting when you said graphic Bloodmoon angst, but this certainly exceeded my expectations.

It’s just, sad. Very sad.

I commend you on your way of drawing everyone’s expressions, the terror and shock on Monty and Foxy are evident, the horror from Sun fits his character well, and Jack… Jack looks utterly traumatized, understandable (and more heartbreaking) if this is the au where they’re friends.

The composition of the drawing gives us enough context to fully understand what has happened (besides the warnings) The feelings of guilt are felt through the whole piece.

Very wonderful drawing, it hits us in the feelings and leaves a dull ache as we stare at the scene.

I really only have one somewhat negative thing to say, and it’s really not something too important of some fatal mistake you did or anything, it’s just my stupid brain bothering me with details and stuff, and I really don’t intend to offend you or be mean in any way.

It’s just the fact they don’t breathe that keeps throwing me off. Because- well- they’re robots— they don’t need air.

I get what you’re doing and I get this is horrifying and heart wrenching, it really is! I just can’t stop thinking about that, I’m sorry :(
