as someone who does not write prose that much, does anyone find it more nervewracking to share your writing than it does to share drawings.... i mean both kinda bare our hearts here, but i feel like putting it into words makes me more embarrassed KLSAJDA

I really wish I could anon :'> we tried to think of non-spoiler-y lore we could share but turns out every aspect of his character is either a. major spoilers or b. a near-direct echo of canon but make it atla flavoured (ie. his relationships w/ geto/shoko/nanami/haibara; him being The Strongest(tm) in-universe, etc). I guess there's technically the satosugu betrothal but that's already Public Knowledge given that there's art, plus the details are (surprise!) more spoilers

once i was in a creative writing class in college, and in a bit of humor i wrote the line:

"Um," I said, eloquently.

And my teacher was so adamant that I had to remove it because "um is not an eloquent word, so it makes no sense" and i was like my brother in christ it's called Irony

#she was so so adamant about it like.#ma'am.#specifically i did it that way because i wanted to express the fact that the character felt particularly foolish #like their brain being all like 'oh nice job what an eloquent way of putting it dumbass'#but without writing all that out ya know.#but no it was 'wrong' and it had to be removed :/#creative writing courses have never done a damn thing for me tbh #i know there has got to be a better way to teach it so that it doesn't quash someone's creativity #but i have yet to find one that does so #people are so weird about writing as an art compared to other visual arts :/#lulu talks

this may be an unpopular opinion but i hope tma never gets a visual adaptation

#and not because it wouldn't slay #but bc y'all are not normal when someone has a different internal vision that deviates from the fandom consensus #of what the archives crew looks like #i can see the bloodbath from here #i do think if it ever did get a visual adaptation jonny and alex would do their best to match fan expectation #but the terms of having a different company and other creatives involved would mean different stakes in casting choices #and it could be glorious but it could also be severely underwhelming #and tma is already so so so beloved #it would be very hard to match it in a different medium #and i don't think this fan space would care for deviation at all #THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS (FOR ME) is a clay stop motion video game #the magnus archives #tma #tma podcast

i've been wanting to write xh horror for ages but avoided it since i already had too many other things going. probably against my better judgement but i maaaaaay have started something last night

#brain switch has flipped to ace ick after what happened yesterday which is just wonderful when i have things to do #i'll be fine. but when i got Really Bad last year i wrote hyhy shockingly fast. dunno what it is about horror that just works like that #i don't really mind much when i've been meaning to write it for ages anyway #couldn't help myself after seeing the overload visual teasers in that wonderful edit yesterday #there for a long time i was debating doing something strictly around the jiseode gore cake #buuuut that's been done and it's kinda hard to get very much out of it. and i'm not a fan of gore at all. which is very helpful for horror #i like my shit ✨️ psychological ✨️#i rarely plan things but i'd like to do something kinda like lullaby for a cat (one of my all time favourite svt fics oh it's so good)#and that definitely needs more of a plan for what i want to do #i've missed being more creative. can't always be the pwp guy even if that's what i'm liked for ya know?#anyway. time to get weird and spooky #chewy ramblings

IT'S JUST SO...!! savior's wardrobe scrubbed clean of her original culture and preferences #replaced with the foreign garments of her captor's nations.....in line with this. i love how her kokoshnik and khaenri'ahn earrings are big #and attention-grabbing. you can't look at her without taking note of those accessories. it begs the question:: how many times has savior #looked at the mirror after being dressed up in snezhnaya and was unable to recognize her own reflection?? :'>#also shoutout to some details aine shared with me: 1) the face marks are inspired by weeping angels 2) the kokoshnik was traditionally worn #by married noblewomen BUT the veil was normally for unmarried women so savior's outfit can be seen as a form of compliance + rebellion #(though later on in history it became accepted for married women to also wear that veil. also my apologies if what i said is inaccurate)#lastly shoutout to savior's expression!! very poised and mysterious....due to her emotional state or pierro's rules on how to act as his #spouse in public?? we'll never know~ the first drawing hits even harder when you compare it to the next one!! such an interesting contrast~#savior in her plain attire. casual and domestic with a smile on her face....i'm guessing this is her pre-fatui version?? she looks so warm #and friendly. and i can definitely understand why pierro fell for her smile <3 #also i fucking love the caption. sorry pierro but you are cursed to be a loser/ simp/ pathetic man in all of my fics and AUs xD #NOW ONTO GODDESS! SAVIOR AAAHHHH!! i love the greek goddess motifs. she looks so regal and awe-inspiring but in a different way from her #snezhnayan attire--archaic. divine. and more suited to her personal style.....yet both versions of her look so painfully isolated :'>#her blank eyes. emotionless face. and veil give me the vibes of a spooky victorian ghost...or would a statue/ portrait be more fitting??#the lack of a necklace is also an interesting design choice given what happens in the fic. and now i realized i forgot to comment on your #version of her snezhnayan necklace oops. similar to the kokoshnik and earrings. the size + grandeur makes it impossible to ignore #that and big jewels = expensive af. ohhh and i love the sparkles on her veil!! pierro rlly spared no expense in dressing up his wifey <3 #it's also funny how all of these outfits are similar to my own version in terms of 'savior wore grand clothing during her glory days as a #goddess -> wore simple attire after her decline for practicality and to blend in with humans/ disassociate from her old identity -> is now #dressed in even grander clothing as the harbinger's spouse. but it's used to reinforce her new identity and pierro's control over her'#tldr:: your design is so creative and i can see the effort you put in analyzing her character and depicting her based on your interpretatio #thank you for being my mutual + reader and i hope we can share even more harbinger/darling brainrot in the future :>

I can't believe I have 100%ed mass effect andromeda multiple times and it just hit me that the jardaan are named that b/c. y'know. jardin. garden. because they're gardeners of life/their whole deal was to create the we are as space gods slash mad scientists sci-fi equivalent of the garden of eden. I may be a bit slow on the uptake in some ways

#looked at my gifted nice fancy tea packaging with some french on it and had a '...oh. yeah' moment just now fjsdk #mass effect #mass effect andromeda #what with everything I'm not... hugely optimistic about me5 as it is but I know for a fact it will not be what *I* want it to be #(direct me:a sequel that digs into the good stuff that IS in there beneath some of the messiness.#and also more reyes vidal. come back to me. lie to me some more baby no one does it like you. my ryder is also nuts beneath it all #they go together so well. and I would like. to have more of that pls. pls. I won't get it but I want it desperately)#I think there's some really interesting stuff in the contrast between the reapers and the jardaan -- death vs. life #and how they both can be a source of horror. creative sterility vs. creation for the sake of creation but that good ol' frankenstein way #the jardaan COULD create life so they DID create life. what does that mean. what is the morality of that etc.#I'm not big on their visual design but the poor angara really found out god designed them with a USB port huh #(their like not-biotic thing that's basically meant to interface with everything in their little enclosure of a galaxy to be clear)#there's a revelation I'd love to see someone have to grapple with the long-term implications of lol

Papper Junkie: A Peek Inside My New Flip Book

Hey there, creative minds! I'm super stoked to share something I've been pouring a lot of energy into lately: it's called Papper Junkie, and it's a new flip book I've put together.

This project is a deep dive into a bunch of my sketch flash art. Each page you flip is a fresh piece, a little snapshot of an idea or a moment of inspiration.
