Anyway needless to say, college is showing me a whole slew of people who are using laptops in school for the first time and they're so bad at it. They're so bad at taking notes too. They're so bad at everything

Sometimes I'm like, "I'm being mean to characters ehehehehehe" and then suddenly my brain is like, "okay!!!!! that was great but we're done now." And I'm like, "Wait! I'm in the middle of something!" and my brain's like, "not anymore youre not put your toys away you're done playing now it's fluff time."

#the only thing that can combat this is if the characters themselves are louder about the thing #but unfortunately none of the characters ever want to be in the let there be fire verse #and who can blame them!#anyway thats sort of the reason why im always so slow to do anything with it #ill be like 'ehehehehehe'#and my brains suddenly like 'okay thats great but were done with that now <3'#which in this specific case is just like. after a certain amount of Very Dark fiction my brain gets overwhelmed and forces me to disconnect #and go do something a little lighter #(and to be clear the ltbf verse is not like. bad end fic. theres still a light at the end of the tunnel)#(the tunnel is just very long and very dark. and not everyone makes it to the end)

ooh!! well, i havent listened to a lot of TOP in a while, so i don't have many recommendations there unfortunately :'] but for other slow, soft songs, let's see... i'll put them under a cut with all my explanations, but ☀️ "See The Day" by The Altogether (Volition song!), 🍃 "Rounds" by The Oh Hellos (Shivers song!), 🦋 "Would You Be So Kind" by dodie (general skills song, Suggestion primarily!) are the best contenders!

the worst part of stardew valley is Spring, Year 1

#talkies #like. great game i love it a lot but. spring year 1. always sucks. its SO SLOW and agonizingy boring #any time i stop playing for a little while i wind up making a new farm and stuff cus i forget what i was doing earlier and i get stressed #when i start playing againa nd everythings a mess. so i make new farms and get bored VERY fast #im trying to play without using the mods i installed. as in no autowater or teleportationa nd stuff. watering plants suck so bad #the starting equipment also sucks it takes like 15 hits to get rid of one tree and 15 hits to kill a slime and there are SO many levels #in the mines i gotta clear out and iron is hard to get early in the game and. its just kind of a hassle to start over #which is so dumb too. why am i making rules for how i play. i hate watering plants it takes forever. autowater is my best friend #the main reason is actually that i never actually made sprinklers and i wanna make and use them. but w autowater its a waste of resources

i want to thank everyone whose sent me asks for their patience, i havent been able to answer any for like almost a month bc im SUPER busy, but hopefully i can get to them soonish!

usually during this time of the year i take it off from the daily posting so's i can focus on my busy summer job, but this year i had tons of posts loaded up in my queue, so i decided i could just let it run while i'm at work

#blogkeeping #for those of u that find running an art blog stressful i wholly recommend just filling a queue up with ur doodles to post one a day #its sooo much less work for me i just take a day every week or two and upload all my little sketches #answering asks however is something i usually have to do consciously or at least i have to schedule them which is why sometimes #it takes me a while to answer #actually almost always it takes me at LEAST 4 days to answer if not longer #im a quick artist but slow to responding #and i keep thinking "oh i have a good few hours after work...surely i could answer asks then?''#but i get home my head hits the pillow and i wake up at 7am to get up for work again

I am in so much pain and discomfort

#No but I like need to see a specialist like fucking pronto okay Im just getting worse #and the waitikg times in this goddamn country are fucking months #like i was literally referred back in like November #and in still waiting and have heard nothing #ive been to my gp no joke like a dozen times since like hi im in agony what do #and she keeps just being like aw you poor thing well you still on the waiting list so gotta just wait longer :D #like is there literally nothing she can do like if im in agony and continually rocking up being liek hello pls dont forger me #aurely she has to do soemthign right #is there no way for me to be moved up the list cause at this rate im not gonna get to see the specialist before i move to England #and im gonna be strating from scratch again over there and am gonna have to go through everything again before getting another referral #and like im back home during the summer so who knows if ill still be in england by the time i get to see a specialist #i cant hold out to this its torture #like when i first went to the doctors oh so long ago she was genuinely concerned in case it was cancer #thats why she referred me in the first place #bestie if it was cancer (which i domt think it is) and its just slow growing or whatever like a little pointless letting it go for so long #without doing ANYTHING but giving me antibiotics and coating myself in dermol cream like so helpful #literally the nhs is falling to bits over here #like my friend had to go to the hospital a fortnight ago cause they were in agony and couldnt walk and their gp sent them a referral #cause they had phoned and the doctor was like bitch go to the hospital my god #and they had to wait over 7 hours to see a doctor and was there for ages and wasnt home till 4 in the morning #cause they couldnt keep them cause it wasnt seen as serious enough to give them. abed #despite them being in excruciating pain #they still havent figured out whats wrong with them #love that we both medical mysteries entirely die to the understaffed amd overworked nhs #gonna go see my gp again tomorrow hope she's missed me its only been like 2 weeks since i last saw her #lollymine

#ooc ;#*SHOW viserys. also keep in mind im not a doctor or a microbiologist #im just autistic #BUT mycobacterium leprae (the causative agent of leprosy) is as weird little bug. it's extremely slow growing bacterium.#the average incubation period is five years but some people can go up to twenty without showing symptoms #the most common symptoms are skin lesions and nerve damage in the extremities which lead to frequent damage and infection due #to loss of the ability to feel pain. it ALSO causes cartilage absorption which leads to shortening of the fingers toes and nose #ulcers can develop and secondary bacterial infections that eat at the already damage skin are very common #damage to the nerves and muscle weakness can also lead to paralysis #also nerve damage (from experience) is extremely painful so it's understandable why he'd be in so much pain from the whole thing #also to answer the question as to why nobody else got it: m. leprae has an incredibly low pathogenicity rate. i #it replicates slowly and you need to be exposed to a LOT of it to actually become infected.#around 95% of people exposed have no symptoms. and it's NOT sexually transmitted or transmitted from mother to child.#it's not even transmitted by touch it's transmitted by respiratory droplets

okay SOMEHOW this little baby got put in charge of bringing the van over to the department building so now i have a little baggy of car insurance information and the knowledge that if i miss my 5:30am alarm tomorrow i am royally fucking up everything.

gosh I’m a LITTLE heartbroken

#YES! I skipped 90% of the season after watching part of the first episode so I could see the finale #and yes!! I’m confused!!!#and YES!!! I really REALLY wish they’d kept the title Darkling because the INTIMACY of Alina saying his name while he dies at her hand is so #I NEED SOULMATES WHOSE CIRCUMSTANCES AND ACTIONS MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EVER BE TOGTWHR OKAY!!!!! I NEED THAT!!!! and instead…oh boy.#why did they condense two books in one???? why???#also I wish they’d kept the slow burn of their power dynamic. like aleksander has the power all the way through the second book until the #climax. and then through the third book you see aleksander is growing more and more desperate and Alina is more and more resolved it’s so go #I don’t even know if I’ll watch the whole season I might just reread the books #i know seige and storm had some pacing issues but it’s my favorite because there’s so much depth to Alina #also idk just from the few scenes I’ve watched the strange intimacy between Alina and the Darkling isn’t really present in the series #or if it is it’s very one sided #also I love that there are some very minor elements that tell us Alina isn’t 100% reliable as a narrator and I LOVE the sorts of possibiliti #that opens up. (see: the scene where someone is spoon feeding Alina and it’s implied to be the Darkling)#Alina assumes that any and all intimacy was manipulation and because she’s the narrator thts the way the story is told. but there r MOMENTS #and I LOVE THE NUANCE #this series seems to not have that :/ which is…okay…but not my sort of thing #oh my word kf you didn’t know I’ve written two fanfics for these two and in neither do they end up together #me when complex characters are complex!!!!#me when I’m able to explore details of the characterization liel the rabid little animal I am!!!!#GOSH I THINK IM RE-ENTERING I HYPERFIXATION!!! YAY!!!!!
