Who can relate?

I began training just over 3 months ago with the intent on becoming an MMA fighter. Seriously MMA all day, UFC was the goal, the whole shebang.

I'm just now starting to have second thoughts on doing actual MMA fighting, and instead just doing competitions in grappling/BJJ. I've noticed that a lot of the MMA fighters at my gym tend to gravitate more towards one or the other, usually striking. But I find myself more appealed by the technique and constant live application of Jiu Jitsu.

I cant really tell if its more my forte than Muay Thai or if I've gotten discouraged because I'm more limited to what classes I can take due to my work schedule, but I've been able to find a way to train BJJ 5 days a week as opposed to the 1 day a week I started out with. As you can guess, I really have not progressed in Muay Thai like I have in BJJ, though only a little.

I dont want to just give up on Muay Thai because I hate the idea of giving up on anything, but if I want to put more focus towards my Jiu Jitsu, it will require me to sacrifice what little time I have to train Muay Thai.

Has this ever happened to any of you? Did you end up choosing one or the other, or did you find a way to fit in both? Did you begin training to fight MMA, just to end up falling in love with one particular Martial Art that made it difficult and less exciting for you to focus on others?
