The parameters for a good fic (Klonnie or otherwise) within the realm of fan fictions to me, is keeping in mind the characters themselves, they’re history, they’re motivations, the little quirks that make them themselves and expanding on it.

Often times especially with canon divergences or au’s in general, the only similarity to the original material is the name and physicality. It can be difficult to find authors who write characters in a way that serves the characters themselves and the authors own vision for their story.

For Klonnie, specifically I often find that Bonnie in particular isn’t written in line, like the things she’ll say dont fall in line with her character or her interactions with Klaus or any other character doesn’t make sense. Often with fics involving a mistreated/unpopular character, they’re treated as a self-insert rather than written accurately.

The best fanfics to me are the ones where i can literally hear/see the character doing/saying whatever in my head.

I can literally see Bonnie steeling herself against Bob, I can see her acting awkwardly to waking up in bed to Klaus, I can see her showing Marcel in excruciating detail why he doesn’t want to fuck with her

I can see Caroline holding Bonnie tight and hear her telling Bon how fucked it was for Elena to take precedence for so long

I can see Klaus being conflicted over Marcel and Bonnie’s initial meeting, I can see his face when he realises he doesn’t want friendship with Bonnie, I can hear him saying ‘why would i want to make life easier for anyone not named Bonnie Bennett’

Szanje is a prolific klonnie writer, im currently rereading the edge of night

"He Loves You..."

Warnings: Just straight fluff this time ;) The idea came to me while i was outside admiring my mothers flowers. This is a heethan x readen fic, (based off the characters in the MGR/MRE/HHP arc. Heethan is Heeseung's character, heeseung/ethan)

Sitting atop a small hill of fresh, lush spring grass, your flirty summer dress of satin white lays gracefully at pulled length, exposing your legs to absorb the warm rays of the sun. The skinny straps lay loosely on your shoulders, one of them delicately falling off and draping over your upper arm, creating a carefree atmosphere within your soft and pretty nature. Your hair laid down, unfixed, softly flowing with small flowers placed in the strands, meshing in with your waves. Just a tiny bit of glitter eyeshadow was enough to make your eyes sparkle, and the perfectly ombre sugar, pink color staining your pursed lips. In everyone's eyes, you were the season of Spring.

Eyeballing a small patch of wild peonies, you admired the peachy color and the pink tint of the wide petals. Leaning down on your stomach, you prop your chest up with your elbows and your feet raise up in the air as you swing them delicately, back and forth. Your dress rises, already at a mini length, yet tastefully increases the view of your honey thighs and glowing skin. Remarkable.

Taking one of the peonies, you carefully remove the petals from the bud, one by one.

"He loves me......he loves me not......he loves me.......he loves me not...."

The warm breeze expands your hair to surround your shoulders, creating a gap in between the brunches of strands to expose the open back feature of your summer dress. The weather was so clear and warm, why not show off some skin and dress freely?

"He loves me.....he loves me not....he loves me....."

You continue to pull out each petal, until you come to the last one....and to the sunken dismay of your heart's weight, falling heavy into the pits of your gut, you landed on....

"He loves me....not?......"

Slightly frowning at the naked bud, you remove the last petal on 'not'. When suddenly a hand swoops right in before you, presenting you with a new stem, one with a nearly naked bud, and a single petal remaining intact.

"He loves you."

His deep voice emerges from behind as he holds onto the stem, gently bringing it to your face as he hovers over you, gently laying over your back and cradling it against his chest. Softly giggling, you take the stem and feel the warmth of his hand, now free, swooping over your throat, placing you in a gentle neck hold as he buries his face in the back of your head and kisses you tenderly. Watching you, he observes your delicate fingers taking the last petal. Pulling it from the bud, you softly whisper aloud....

"He loves me....."

Authors Notes: ah...this is my new favorite drabble. going right into the canon of the storyline, i just dont know where which timeline i'm going to place it in. its def going to be in the HHP arc. ;) i'm wondering if i should make a part two of this, with soft smut..like vanilla smut...idk, you guys tell me what you think in the comments. if its perfect the way it is, i'll leave it. its soo......ah.....so fluffy.

(Reader) had invited Piper around to her apartment in Manhattan and they were snuggled under a blanket watching a musical version of a 2000's classic, MEAN GIRLS! "Isn't Regina Gorge like so hot." Piper whispered as she looked at (Reader) out of the corner of her eye. "Yeah totally, I mean she's a bitch, but Reneé Rap soooo hot it's unfunny." (Reader) agreed with a slight blush as she reached her hand into the bowl full of popcorn at the same time as Piper and gave her a nervous smile as their hands brushed. She swore she felt electric shock go through her body like when she jumped up behind Jason and he got nervous. Piper giggled a little as she looked at (Reader) with her kaleidoscope eyes that could make anyone captivated.

"So...you think Rennee Rap is hot? Does that mean you like girls?" Piper asked as she shoved popcorn into her mouth and chewed it. The movie was still playing in the background but neither of the girls was paying attention to it because they were too busy studying each other's faces in the dim light. "I...um don't know. I mean I've never kissed a girl so like maybe?" (Reader) said unsurely as she anxiously fiddled with the blanket and distracted herself by taking a sip of her coke,

Piper smiled a little at the answer and inched closer leaning in. "Well, I've never kissed a girl either so, like, not to make it awkward or anything but we could kiss." She said trying to come off more confident then she felt. What if she had just messed it all up? What if (Reader) got grossed out by the idea? No. Piper had to remind herself her mum was the goddess of love she had this in the bag.

(Reader) was pretty sure she was as red as a tomato now as she looked at Piper and licked her lip glossed lips as her eyes darted down to Piper's lips and she found herself nodding. "Yeah, I'd like that." She said breathily as she also leaned in.

Piper pressed their lips together gently with their lip glosses making the kiss sticky but ten times better. Sure, Piper had kissed Jason and that was good but this. Wow, this was just everything. Piper cupped (Reader)'s cheeks and pulled her in closer the with fireworks going off and she slipped her tongue in just as a door opened and light and giggling from the hallway spilled into the room.

"HOLLY SHIT! STOP KISSING MY SISTER!" Percy yelled as he stood in the doorway with Annabeth standing next to him staring at the pair in shock.

i saw ur recent post :) i know nothing abt dc and booster gold but what sort of superhero is booster gold?? feel free to ramble hehe

ooh this is interesting. you see people tend to stereotype booster as either a time travelling hero, or a self absorbed sell out. and sure hes got elements of both, but he is way more than that

he kinda acts like a classic golden hero -- I mean he took a lot of inspiration from superman originally -- but he does sponsorships and advertisements and whatever because he was also a football player before, and athletes do that all the time, and he figured why dont superheroes do that? and that's the thing that most people dont understand -- both in canon (either intentionally, like in the original booster gold comics, or unintentionally like newer stuff or when he gets represented in shows a lot) and just in the general fanbase -- hes perceived as shallow and barely a hero, if anything just a laughingstock. but at his core, hes selfless and he wants to help people. he likes money, sure, he loves being rich, but he also grew up poor, so it doesnt take that big of an adjustment when he loses his funds. basically, booster gold is very heroic and can be very selfless, hes just kind of perceived as a glory hound

and then the time travelling element is fun, but I don't really like it as his main focus. nowadays hes just brought in because theres time travel involved, but I much prefer his original time aspect presented in booster gold 1986 and time masters 1990, in my opinion the aspect of him always meant to time travel back, as well as the methods of travel and the rules put in place. going to the 80s and saving people, as well as just being stuck there because the time sphere broke (and not being able to time travel instantaneously) and then we he did get to time travel forward he learned that 1) you can only use each time travel method once, which adds a fun barrier to time travel but still makes it fun and 2) he was always intended to go to the 80s and save the president, which also adds a build up to what happens in time masters which expands more on time travel and ties these two elements together in a way I really enjoy. him discovering that being booster gold, the hero, is his destiny is also a plotline I really enjoy. I feel by removing this element and restriction of time travel it kind of removes his important character arc with this

but also, the other thing that drives his character is his lack of secret identity. nobody knows his real name, sure, but he doesnt have a real real name anyway. he lives as booster gold, not as a "michael jon carter" (which he does not!! go by btw). his identity is tied so strongly to being a superhero he doesnt know how to live without it. when he loses his suit or even just power in his suit, he has no idea what to do. in booster gold #13 when his suit is drained of power and hes injured and sickly from the previous issue, he is so glad to get his flight ring back even if it's just a hint of his previous powers, and the entire time he is just struggling without the powers he was accustomed to because of the suit. on top of that, the issues in #25 that he has from not being a hero, where he doesn't know how to live normally but also considers going back to the 25th century because he cant live in the 20th century anymore (for multiple reasons) but that was also when he has to accept that being booster gold is his destiny, and he cant get rid of it (he doesnt know how)

anyways I dont know if this makes sense at all or actually answers your question but I just think that booster gold and like how he is perceived by the public and by himself is very interesting and I just love a hero who's secret identity is so tied up in being a hero (where they dont even have a secret identity) that they don't know how to not be a hero, especially when its tied with being a celebrity and having fame and wealth, while also caring deeply about being a hero and helping (if I had a nickel...) idk i just love that kind of hero

Through my scrounging of the internet I saw a link that lead me to your website that was a "Animal Crossing Style Guide" but it no longer exists. I was wondering if you might have some pointers that I could learn from for my project?

You're about 2 weeks shy of that link working. I just changed web hosts and rebuilt my website and ended up taking down the blog section, which is where that content lived. The Animal Crossing Style Guide was an article / blog post I wrote a few years ago around the time New Horizons came out discussing the topic of animal crossing character designs for artists. While the post no longer exists online, I did archive it to hopefully host again in the future, but I havent gotten around to remaking the blog yet. In the meantime here's literally the entire thing in a tumblr post, and if I remember, I'll try to update whatever links I can. Animal Crossing Style Guide: Artist Tips for Drawing Your Favorite Characters

Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of Fandom Friday. If you’re like every Nintendo Switch owner  right now, you’ve been playing Animal Crossing nonstop for the last month.  And who can blame you? This irresistible chore simulator has no trouble winning the hearts of the masses by helping us fall in love all over again with our favorite animal neighbors. Nintendo found a way to make tedium fun by implementing a fun reward system and fully embracing the rule of cool, or rather, the rule of cute if there is such a thing. Why do I like it? I don’t know, man!! It’s adorable! It turns my brain chemicals into a relaxed, happy soup.

If you’re an artist it’s possible you’ve seen these cute character designs and thought “I want a piece of that for myself.” I know I have. If you love to draw the Animal Crossing cast or have some OCs of your own who you want to mesh with the AC universe, read on for some mini tips for drawing in the Animal Crossing style. I’ve been studying the style for the past few weeks and this guide is a pretty compact version of what I’ve learned, but feel free to let me know if you guys want more.  It was fun to study these characters and I’d love to expand upon this with a more definitive guide or deep dive into more specific aspects of the style!

On to the basics!

Villager Bodies

In the graphic below I describe that most animals are a little over 2 heads tall. That’s because the characters in animal crossing tend to have very large, bulbous heads as part of their appeal. You’ll find that certain species, such as eagles and gorillas, do break this convention slightly, often appearing with their anatomical midpoint lower on the chest than most smaller animals.

That said, this isn’t a hard and fast rule necessarily. While the height and shape of AC bodies is generally in the neighborhood of what’s stated above, there is some variation between installments of AC. Compare the following images and you’ll see what I mean.

As you can see, Bob’s shape and proportions vary between Wild World and New Leaf, as do many of the other characters. While many current players likely think of New Horizons as the definitive style for now, I would encourage my fellow artists to experiment here. Play around with height in the 2 to 3 heads tall range and see what you like. Stylize the torsos to your taste. It’s entirely possible to remain within the AC style of drawing while still making some details your own.

Heads

Heads of AC characters are a bit of a complex subject because there are literally so many different species of animals who all have their own goofy, lovable little faces. I’ve done my best to break them down to the basics without getting too specific about one species or another.

As you can see, even the the more complicated animals can be broken down into these simplistic, bulbous shapes that Animal Crossing loves so well. When designing a new character, it’s wise to plan their head and body using basic shapes before you tack on any other extraneous features. By doing this you can ensure that your character has the round, soft features that are key to Animal Crossing before you ever have to decide what their face looks like or what their personality should be. When in doubt, round it out. You’ll be drowning in the cute in no time.

Speaking of faces, feel free to let me know on social media if you’d like me to expand upon this guide in terms of facial features and placement. I avoided the topic in this case because I wanted to focus more on foundational elements, and animal faces felt it a bit broad for that scope. The sheer expanse of animal individuality in this game allows for quite a lot of different faces with quite varied placement. And that’s not even including the human character options!

Limbs

Arms are perhaps the simplest section of this guide because there are so few styles of arm in Animal Crossing. The vast majority of characters you encounter will have the cylindrical arm style, or something close to it. At that point, all you’ll have to do is vary the length to suit the character.

Birds and octopi are one exception to this rule, with birds in particular being the more complex of the two. In most instances, bird characters will have those flattened out oar shapes for forearms with a simple texture stretched over the shape, but on occasion some birds will have distinct feathering as part of their model, which can at times distort the underlying shape for the artist trying to make sense of it. Our owl friends, Celeste and Blathers, are good examples of this.

With birds and octopi in particular, don’t be afraid to experiment a bit with the design of the limb. Some birds, like Blathers and Celeste, have wider forearms, and many octopi have interesting textures for their suckers. In addition, don’t be afraid of extending or shortening the standard cylindrical arm shape, as this shape can be applied to all different sized animals, from cats to hamsters and beyond. Some animals will have very short stumpy arms while others will have longer ones. Some villagers have slender, delicate arms, while others have bulkier ones. You can adjust the proportions of the shape to suit the character you’re drawing.

Legs on the other hand….those are a different can of worms. I’d like to preface this by saying that legs are another topic I’d love to go into greater detail on if there is interest because this graphic could afford to do the topic a bit more justice.

As with arms, most animals have the same simple cylinder that can be widened and extended as needed to suit the body of the animal. Birds once again have a unique trait in this department, but beyond that, leg styles vary widely. Mostly in the foot department, I should say. When starting off you’ll find that most animals maintain a cylindrical leg even if they have a unique foot, and in most cases the foot can be constructed out of a dome shape attached to the cylinder. Not unlike a plunger, if for some reason the stick was on one side of the plunger rather than in the center. On top of that, human characters can now wear a large variety of shoes, making this a second topic that I felt went beyond the scope of this exercise. If you’re interested in a more thorough explanation of Animal Crossing legs and feet, feel free to let me know. I just might write about it in more detail in a future installment.

But never fear! Feet, like most unique animal traits, do share similar design elements across the entire game even when they don’t look particularly alike.

Designing Unique Features

So you’re an artist who wants to draw a specific character, or maybe you want to design a brand new character. You can construct a simple animal body, but then what? What makes this character Your Character™ rather than Bob or Molly or Flora?

Despite how similar these animals all are in basic constructions, each animal and human has their own unique design elements that set them apart from one another. It is nigh impossible to cover every single interesting design element of every single animal in every single game, so here are some tips that will aid you in drawing any element you decide to apply to a character while still keeping them cute as a button.

Just like up top, I reiterate. Big, round, soft shapes. Even the most hardcore animals in Animal Crossing look soft and huggable to some degree.

Take for example, these animals who all should be at least a little bit scary.  Animal Crossing’s art style keeps them appealing even with their rougher traits on display. Alfonso the alligator should logically be among the most feared of reptiles, yet his sleepy eyes, gently sloping snout, chubby cheeks, and tubby belly give him all the charm of a stuffed animal. His pointy teeth feel more like a clumsy after thought than a mechanism for killing prey.

Coco the bunny is designed to look like a haniwa figure, an item commonly buried with the dead  during the Yayoi period of Japanese history. Coco’s Japanese name is, in fact, Yayoi. In addition, many items in her house are reminiscent of Japanese funeral decor.  She’s supposed to be a little unsettling. Her facial expression does not change like those of other villagers, so she can’t smile at you or put you at ease the way other characters can. Indeed, Coco wears a permanent somber appearance, but even so, she looks sweet and pleasant to touch. Her face is completely curved and she is given the body of a bunny villager.  Her huge, round ears and tiny, dainty paws evoke the charm of a little rabbit even from a villager whose whole design is meant to remind one of death.

Rasher the pig and Spike the rhino have similar charm. Both of them don scars all over their bodies and in some cases wear aggressive looking shirts in their rough or rustic homes. Still, with Rasher’s big sleepy eyes and friendly round belly, he could almost give you a Winnie the Pooh vibe if you squint hard enough. Spike, meanwhile, has had his horns rounded ever so slightly at the tips and his curved hooves and short tail make him seem far from threatening. Even the most edgy creatures in the Animal Crossing universe can appear somehow friendly by making use of these softening design elements.

Go Forth and Draw

And that, in essence, has been my broad overview of Animal Crossing’s art style. I consider that last tidbit to be the most valuable tip of all. By closely studying the way Animal Crossing characters use round bodies, gradual slopes, and pleasant curves, you can make even the most threatening of animal characters look cute and perfectly cuddly for your town, village, or island.

might be a one (lol) time thing but AUGHH WHATEVERTHOUGHT VOMIT BLEEURRGH!!!!

i just finished watching hfjONE and ggod its EXACTLY the object show for me. im the typa guy that asks way too many questions about worldbuilding, character backgrounds, settings, etc. i cant get invested in the world or the characters if there are these questions of "what is this, why are these guys here, this makes no sense, why what huh???" are hanging over my head the whole time. thats why i loved ONE so much because it answered some of those questions, and the characters asked the questions too because it made sense. they felt like real people to me and i could relate to them. my problem with most object shows is that there are such low stakes and none of the characters feel real, theyre just there to do whatever silly thing the creator wants them to do. and i know its all in good fun, like kids playing with their toys and making them do whatever, but it's just hard to get invested in it. with ONE and Objectified, the characters actually have individual lives, backstories, and depth and just.rhgrhrg it feels so much more beautiful and thought out and intricate and i love the characters so much more!!!!

even so, the point of ONE is to leave you asking even more questions. like, it leaves you with the horror of "now what?" given that lives of these characters expand into a high stakes world, it makes it so much more horrifying that theyre taken out of it and put into a senseless game for fun, possibly losing everything theyve ever had that gave their lives purpose. ONE takes everything completely seriously, which is EXACTLY what i've been asking of other object shows, but because it takes everything seriously, everything is a lot more tense, critical, and existentially horrifying. in doing so, ONE makes me realize how freeing it is to not be super attached to the complex lives silly guys like the ones in bfdi or ii, because while i still love them, its not like theres a lot of loose ends to tie together or a bigger purpose to return to. theyre just silly thangs doing silly things and interacting for the sillies. its enjoyable because you dont have to ask those questions, you just go along with it for the jokes and goofs. object shows arent meant to be super intricate worlds, the premise of an assortment of sentient objects in a random plane with a game show host is already completely ridiculous and pointless, its just to have fun and make whatever character the creator desires and have their personalities and whatever bounce off one another. for the sillies!!! ONE, even with its lack of closure, maybe even because of it, helped me to appreciate object shows so much more. the "why" question is answered by the simple fact that people get bored and come up with a fun idea and execute it with the things and ideas they have. its mindless fun, a no-strings-attached exercise of creativity and childlike whimsy, and thats what makes it so so awesome

     (Y/N) sighed as she looked through the blue magical orbs floating around her wrist. Most of the universes in front of her she had already been to, and there is no point of going twice, right? She pinched her fingers together and made the orbs go smaller, almost to the size of a quarter piece as she spun the orbs, looking for a different set of universes to pick from. After a couple of spins, she stopped the orbs and blew them up so she could get a better look upon them. The first couple she had visited before but she stopped once she got to a small darker blue orb. “Huh.” she hummed, raising an eyebrow as she grabbed the smaller orb examining  it. From what she could see, it looked to be Earth, just an Earth on the verge of death. She frowned to herself as she wondered the possible reason for its disintegration,’Only one way to find out’ she thought to herself. She stood up making the orb as tall as herself, expanding its image to show an empty street covered in snow and debris. Normally she would tell Stephen if she was going to be traveling, but he happened to be on his own mission today, so she figured it could wait until another time. She stepped through the blue orb and onto the dark street closing her passage opening behind her. 

               She shivered as she wrapped her arms over herself mentally cursing herself for not grabbing a jacket, she made her way down the street brushing her hand lightly on the cars that floated around her. As she walked further down the street it dawned on her that she knew this road, and if she was right then it should take her exactly where she needed to go, The Sanctum Sanctorum. The further she walked the more she felt as if something was watching her, which should be practically impossible since this world was dead, right? She shook her head slightly trying to shake off her anxiety, she has been to hundreds if not thousands of other universes why is this one freaking her out so much? She turned the corner of the street and her heart skipped a beat when the Sanctum came into sight, she took a deep breath as she looked at the building.Walking closer,the first thing that she noticed was that it seemed to be the only building to not be corroding away, and the second was the silhouette of a man in the top window. She watched as he turned and walked away from sight, if her anxiety wasn't getting to her before it was now. She got to the front doors of the Sanctum and with a slight push the tall doors opened with a loud and eerie creak. Standing there for a moment she contemplated if this was really a good idea anymore, she could always go back to her universe and act like nothing happened, or she could go in and speak to the mysterious man. Anybody in their right mind  would have just left to where they came from, but she wasn't just anybody, she was (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), a very powerful sorceress trained under THE Sorcerer Supreme, and who could travel the multiverse at the flick of a wrist. Making her mind up she walked into the eerie building, the heavy doors slamming behind her.

She flinched and huffed at the doors before making two Eldritch shields. After her heart went back to its normal pace she took in her surroundings. The ocean, it appeared, had engulfed most of this level of the Sanctum, waves crashing around the stairs that seemed like they would never end, and the biggest and reddest moon she had ever seen, sat right perfectly in the middle. It was stunning to say the least. And as much as she wanted to just sit and enjoy the view she had a job to do. She made her way up the stairs taking her time trying not to give away her exact location to the man she had seen just moments prior. When she made it to the top she dropped one of her shields to cast a small ball of light ahead of herself to give her an idea of what she was looking at but not enough to completely  illuminate the room. 

            She walked into the middle of the room making mental notes of every detail she could see. As she was scanning the room she heard the creak of the stairs, folding under the weight of someone. Turning to face the stairs she turned her shield into a sword and made her light glow brighter, “Who goes there?” she asked sternly, trying to not give into her anxious thoughts. The man let out a low chuckle as he made his way down the steps. “Hm, i don’t feel like you are in any position to be asking questions.” He stated as he made it to the bottom of the stairs, keeping to the shadows of the room. “How did you get here?” He asked in a curious yet stern tone. Upon hearing his voice she felt a sudden wave of sadness hit her. “Stephen?” she asked softly as she let the sword dissipate. He took a small step into a more lighted part of the room, the shadows casting almost perfectly among his face. “I once was..” you watched as he put his hand upon the book that rested on his waist,”Now,i’ll ask one more time.How did you get here?” The book in his hands glowed a deep red that wrapped around his fingers. Her eyes looked at the book with a sad frown before looking at him with a soft stare,” My name is (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), I am a traveler of the multiverse. In my universe I am your apprentice.I mean you no harm.” She said as she put her hands up slightly, trying to prove herself as not a threat. She needed him to trust her if she was ever going to figure out what happened here. The silence between them became almost deafening as he took a step closer. “I see..Then why have you come here?” His tone was softer yet drawn out and she could feel the curiosity that was laced in his words. However his hand never left the book. She took his presence in as she could finally see him in the dim lighting. “I come looking for threats, threats that could become a harm to my own universe.” She spoke calmly as her eyes searched the book in his hand, lowering her arms at her sides. He hummed as she spoke, soaking up her words. “Darling.. there is nothing but threats here,” he said smirking, taking another step towards her looking down at the book he still held. “The Darkhold, i presume?”She asked furrowing her brows tilting her head to the side to try to get a better look at the book.”You know about the darkhold?”He asked, looking back at her. His crystal blue eyes piercing into hers. She had been told about the book of the damned,and warned to never read it by her Stephen. She didn’t know the details but she knew that it corrupted its readers, and convinced them to do terrible things. “I’ve heard of it. I’ve never seen it before.” She could only assume it’s done the same with the Strange in front of her.”What did it do to you..?” she asked, her voice wavering as she spoke. She felt pity for this Strange, even though she didn’t trust him and found herself quite nervous around him, he was still Stephen. He sighed as he placed both of his hands behind his back. “Things got out of hand.” he said, watching her as he walked to the window. He turned his back to her as he gently tapped the glass leaving a small smudge on the frosty surface. “The Darkhold exacts a heavy toll especially, after centuries with it. Why do you think I'm the only person you have seen since your arrival? Hmm?” He asked, facing her again,She took a shallow breath as everything clicked, she understood what he was saying.”However, I still don’t regret anything that happened.” his words turned bitter as he spoke. Leaving the room cold and tense. She held her breath as she composed her thoughts. No matter how Sinister this version of Strange may be, he is still Stephen Strange. And she couldn’t just turn her back on him when he obviously needed someone the most.

               “The Darkhold did this to you Stephen. Don’t put all of the blame on yourself. Regardless if you regret it or…not.. it's

 in the past, and quite frankly i don’t believe there is any fixing…” she looked around to what she could see in the room. “..this..” motioning to the surroundings between them. Looking back to him, she gave him a sad smile and took a couple of steps closer to the man. Standing only a couple of feet from each other, she took in his appearance. His goatee was grown out, his hair slicked back, dark bags hanging beneath his crystal blue eyes, and his robes torn and stained with corrosion of the Darkhold. “I would like to offer you a deal..” she spoke softly, keeping eye contact with the man in front of her. He raised his eyebrow and tilted his head to the side. “And what kind of deal would that be? What could you possibly give me.?” he asked, looking upon her. “A quick restart,” she smiled softly, “I will take you to another universe, where no harm can be done. There you can tell me your story. I would like to know more, plus I think you deserve a break from this.. haunted house.” The more she spoke the more Stephen got confused. Why did she trust him to go to another universe? How could that physically work? Wouldn’t that cause another incursion? His brain was spinning with questions, but on the outside he held his composure as he simply hummed in response. “However,” she raised her finger pausing his train of thought. “you will be required  to leave the Darkhold, here, so that i know your not pulling something quick on me.” she pointed her finger towards him as she turned her head slightly. He nodded, taking in her words, with or without the Darkhold he knew the spells that laid without the pages. He has been the watcher of the damned book for centuries. He took out his hand and held it in front of himself. “Looks like you have a deal.”

Throwback to my babygirl’s 1st birthday party.

We threw a small, intimate birthday party at my MIL’s house since we have yet to have our own place.

It was smooth-sailing, hassle and budget free, haha kidding. The reason why we hosted a small one was because we only wanted to celebrate her special day with the people who have been taking care of her really well, the people who really invested their time and effort and her and that, when she grew up looking back at this, she will know that we will always got her back.

Aside from that, haiqul and I dont like the idea of burdening other people — it’s a birthday party, and of course if we invite people they will feel coerced to buy her a gift or give her money. It’s NOTHING bad of course, but people have other things to do as well. So technically we are being considerate of others. And also, Inayra has plenty of toys and she is always here and there. Hence we didnt have proper storage for her to store her toys, which is why we dont expect a lot of things to be given from other people.

However, i would like to extend my gratitude who thought of Inayra — my cousins, Izzati and Azman. Thank you for thinking of her, and going the extra mile to buy for her gifts. We are really grateful, literally. May you are blessed with bountiful of rewards and blessings for making her happy. 🥰

And of course to my family, thank you for being supportive with our idea and cooked delicious food for all of us. thank you for the gifts, and of course, your efforts, time and sacrifices for taking good care of her and love her wholeheartedly. ❤️

Hi i'ts been along time ago i did end up meeting a new guy and it was a jump into the unknown but it was a good jump 1 month of love experience i never experienced before , i didnt get so much heartbroken over the end as the first time i got heartbroken wich made me realize i matured so much this months about how i see things and view love in generall we canot hold on to something just because we love it , every person is a free being and has its own way that's why love is gonna hurt in the end , but we need to take risks otherwise will love be pointless cause you end up being hurt right ? cause if we meet persons to stay "forever " with we are going to end alone and not give people chances not give yourself experiences of love wich will be a sad thing. Other things ive been thinking is that life is just kinda of grey if you dont do any actions yourself , days in a cold europe country is very dark , you can barely see the sunlight anywhere , life becomes a bit the same everyday wich make you lose some motivacion , inspiration , ideas of things but im trying my best to do things like training for example that really makes my body stronger , my mind more awake is perfect ! and i will start to dance aswell more , and do acitivtes that activitaes my soul <3

i was going thru ur blog and u have good posts about ableist aus and i was wondering - what if in the aus the requirements for warriors were different? Like instead of having to fight jay only hunts? Would the muddling of roles still be ableist? In a Tree-like situation?If its not presented in a "work super hard to get what you want" and more in a "yeah they can decide what he wants to do". This is mostly for jay (and cinder) specifically because they had desires to be warriors yet were forced to be medicine cats because of ableism (ig this can apply to briar but i just truly cant remember oots that well and i havent read her death). I am asking because i am still trying to unlearn the ableist mindset that i grew up with. Feel free to ignore this ask and thnx!

hey yeah thank you for asking! took the opportunity to write up more general thoughts on rewrites as a whole and i went over why exactly theyre ableist hopefully that provides a better perspective

i think the major thing to keep in mind is that the structure of the clans is very abled centric and overly ignorant of inner community work (for example dens are only solidified or altered when either the area takes damage/the clans grows wrt population) theres a fixation on marking territory and starting fights and whatever with other clans which is whats expected of most warriors to partake in. to fix those implications in any fanwork youve really gotta knead into them and understand the nature of their ableism....its not just a problem with cats being barred from being warriors its the whole occupation and the standard its held to, so to speak (+ that fits into general clan society being flawed but eh thats another thing and also its easy to branch out into thought about)

going to stress other disabled people might have other solutions to how disabled cats are received this is just how i like to think of things

first i think its kind of interesting to examine discrepancies between disabled cats in canon as somewhat of an indicator of clan attitudes and leaders and whatnot. like i think you could get something interesting by regarding lets say deadfoot in windclan and cinderpelt in thunderclan who both have bad legs yet had different experiences with them in clan life. if you wanna go a step further comparing generations like lilywhisker and deadfoot or cinderpelt and jayfeather (+ the consideration of how congenital disabilities are regarded) can also make things interesting and just give you an idea of what to do. having the clan systems stray from a clear-cut common attitude both gives you more freedom for different approaches + adds to worldbuilding anyway. imo boiling down clan society to perfect utopia just gets boring but you can have imperfections in the system that depict the disabled experience just fine. just be careful with them and the way they come across yeah?

(real quick as an in between. god just dont refer to cats/their injuries as crippled. it still happens somehow)

im a little ambivalent on the idea of creating a ‘special role’ for disabled cats to be thrown into. cause then thats a repeat of canon medicine den really. its like ‘oh youre disabled youre instantly discarded into the x role pit’ i think just adding substantial in-universe changes to the warrior rank itself (vagueness is fun actually) or expanding on ‘warrior types’ rectifies the othering angle. ‘othering’ as a whole is just as bad as the ‘exception’ archetype people run for most warrior aus i want to state that clearly. effectively if youre gonna introduce roles that dont depend on fighting or hunting or both make sure theres abled cats who have them too. like say you want a camp-based role where a cats job is to fix dens or one where they help in the nursery, its far easier for a cat who cant run to manage those but also have some cats who are physically capable of doing other ‘tasks’ do the same thing for personal reasons

the tree comparison is interesting honestly cause i guess you could just give a cat a particular thing to do as a nonfixed position. and roles accordingly being made for a cat to fill until they cant and the positions done away with afterward. but youve gotta do it carefully so you dont fall into othering as ive said. id avoid something like that personally i just dont like the quality of ‘well theyre not a warrior (the most noble/useful concept in cat society) theyre actually some other thing’

in general giving disabled cats agency and choice is the best thing you can do. whether this means them deciding on tasks they can do themselves or picking a certain kind of warrior to be or asking for an assistant to help them out when they do stuff. the way you wanna pull it off again depends on my first question of “how does the relevant part of your warrior cat world treat disabled cats already”

very important point, the majority of the ableism also comes in the form of character narratives and not just the structure of the world itself. like think for a bit why the writers decided jayfeather shouldve been forced to be a medic or why briarlight got killed off early etc etc. characters ‘wanting’ to be like the abled ideal and still being bitter about not fulfilling that years down the line are just part of the ableist storylines. if youre abled id literally say just do away with those sadstuck ‘i wanted to be a warrior!’ moments. if you really want to id say pull a cinderpelt or a shadowsight where a cats time in the medicine den started their fascination with medicine and they switched to that path due to personal intrigue. id say a more interesting and realistic angle to it is having a disabled cat who found fulfilment in doing something else besides being a warrior becoming bitter about their entire clan ‘mourning’ how theyll never fight again or giving them the pretence of being a warrior being the best thing you can do.... it depends on the character really

this is just a very basic disability thing but stray from the whole ‘useless/dead weight’ way of regarding disabled characters. like dont place their worth on how well they service a clan or not theyre still deserving of shelter and whatnot. you dont need to justify a cats existence or usefulness by going ‘well they may be blind but their sense of smell is excellent so we keep them around’ or whatever its just no good

last thing i can think of is like. dont disregard how a cats disability affects them. like its fine that briarlight cant fight (or even hunt major types of prey) she doesnt need some convoluted method that lets her do that. there are like a dozen other warriors hunting and fighting and theres present value and enjoyment in the stuff she does around camp. she doesnt have to be brightheart 2 its ok

honestly i just want to refute dream apologists thats why im making this post. i think that dream as a villain is interesting but i think that trying to make him out to be secretly a good guy is just bad ngl. also /roleplay and all

dream is a villain. he is chaotic evil according to wilbur, deliberately does not stream to appear less sympathetic (and yet), and is set up as an antagonist to tommy who bears the title ‘hero’. dream is not a good person, no matter how you look at it or try to justify his actions.

‘but he wants to unite everyone to be a big family :((’ the ends dont justify the means believe it or not. having a vaguely positive goal does not excuse the actions you’ve done. it also goes hand and hand with saying dream is correct for punishing tommy the way he did because he acted up. if i socked you across the face and then suddenly said ‘sorry there was a roach on ur face’ does that make it okay? probably not i still punched you, enacting an unnecessary amount of violence. thats a very simple analogy i will admit and there are more complex comparisons. another example off the top of my head is say a child just scribbled all over you walls with crayons. would hitting them be a justified answer? if u said hes thats really fucked of u go seek help u loon. violence as a punishment is very toxic, just because it gets the job done does not mean it is okay. at the end of the day, you still committed this act and the harm you caused is real, having a good motive doesnt suddenly make it okay.

‘but tommy causes all of the conflict’ the disk war wasnt even caused by tommy, it was sapnap and then tommy got involved. and the reason why tommy even caused conflict was because of the discs, because he wanted them back. and most of the time there was a level of antagonism from another party, such as schlatt exiling him, dream taking the disks in the first place, dream threatening l’manberg. and if dream wanted to end the conflict so badly, why didnt he just give tommy back his disks? tommy upfront said everything started with the disks, so he wants them back so he could end the conflict. notice how after tommy got his disks back he has been staying out of conflict, apologizing to everyone, and the only bad thing hes done is try to scam people but everyone does that. this would have been the most peaceful option, yet dream chose the path that would further antagonize tommy which then draws everyone else into conflict. why did dream need to have leverage over tommy so badly? why did he want to hold power over tommy so badly? its because of control, and that’s ultimately dreams end goal. sure he wants a big server family, but would said family have a free will?

‘but dream is sad’ the thing is dream is completely at fault for everything that happened to him. he pushed away sapnap (and george ig). he tried to take control over the server and their possessions. literally everything that happened to tommy. literally everything involving ranboo. villains can be sympathetic, i am not arguing against that. but it does not mean that they should be left off the hook. that doesnt mean u should ignore the shit theyve done because ‘oh no theyre sad’ because it doesnt make anything better. dream had this shit coming for him.

now people also skirt around calling dream an abuser. which is fair ig, its a very loaded word. its much easier to say manipulated. that being said, dream can classify as abusive. and no, tommy is not abusive. abuse is about control and a power imbalance. dream has power over tommy, but tommy does not have power over dream, at least not in the way dream does. he’s taking back power to stand up for himself, dream uses power to control.

using coercion or threats: dream often threatened tommy, such as the pit thing and often employed violence on him. while normally this could be attributed to Normal Minecraft Player Go Smack. minecraft mechanics cannot always translate to real world since violence is pretty normal in minecraft however we also need to consider the context of the scene. dream gave an order, tommy refused, dream applies violence, tommy submitted. thats why its a threat, it has tangible effects that can correlate to real life.

using intimidation: dream blew up logsteadshire as a punishment. dream also destroyed tommys items anytime he visited. dream also hit tommy with his axe i believe. he killed mushroom henry, one of tommys pets.

Using Emotional Abuse: dream guiltripped the shit out of tommy for just hiding things and pinning the blame on tommy for just wanting his own private items. he definitely played mind games on tommy, pretending to be his friend. honestly i probably dont even need to go as in depth because it was so obvious.

Using Isolation: putting him in exile in the first place. destroying the bether portal so no one could visit tommy anymore. i really dont think i need to expand upon that.

Minimizing, Denying, and Blaming: dream in tommys stream when he got trapped said that exile wasnt that bad. he does shift the blame onto tommy for logsteadshire being blown up, even though dreams reaction was entirely unjustified for not listening and hiding.

Using Economic Abuse: see this is where i attempt to parallel minecraft mechanics to real life. obviously, there is no monetary system in place, so when i mean economic, i will use valuables such as armor, food, etc in place of currency. the idea behind economic abuse is to limit the victim’s resources so that they are dependent on the abuser and cannot escape. dream only really allowed tommy to have the armor he gave him while not giving access to armor so he does not regain a sense of power, and in the prison stream, dream holds all the potatoes which puts him in a position of power over tommy. this argument is more ambiguous i feel cause the whole minecraft mechanics thing is kinda weird so u don’t necessarily have to take this part in.

i feel like i need to emphasize this very strongly because dream is not a good person. abuse cannot and should not be a response to someone. its an awful mentality to have. i just want to prove the point that dream is not a good person, his reasons absolutely do not justify his actions.

what makes a good redemption

redemption arcs are tricky. when done right they are great. when done poorly, its a slap in the face. rn im going to establish a formula to what makes a good redemption with an example.

the most well known example of a good redemption is zuko from atla. first, its the magnitude of what theyve done and why. zuko did commit some shitty actions, since he was in a position of power in the fire nation but its because he is a child being abused and wanted to regain honor. zukos real awful acts was season 1 and the whole betrayal thing. thats not to say that zukos actions suddenly are okay, he did shitty things. but its something that can be traced to a higher entity or seem less malicious then the other villains. the thing also about the magnitude of actions is that there is a certain point of atrocities that there is no redemption. some people simply cannot be redeemed because the actions they commit are so ingrained in their character or the action itself has serious moral issues that it would just be wrong.

the next is acknowleding what they did was wrong. a genuine reflection on the self and analyzing what they did and why it was not okay. zuko realized what he did to uncle iroh was bad for example. he turned his back on his father, realizing he didnt and shouldnt seek acknowledgment from someone as heinous as him. its pointing out your actions and going ‘hey, this wasnt right i should not have done this’ and not even excusing ur actions. its also going straight for the root of the problem and figuring out to stamp it from the source. just because a character is sad does not mean they are reflecting, sometimes they are attempting to garner pity. it has to be direct and clear acknowledgement of the injustice.

and finally, an important part about redemption arcs is the actual redemption part. its when you make amends. zuko made amends with katara by trying to help her get revenge, he fought against the fire nation and tried to make things more peaceful in his rule. he apologized to iroh. an important part of the amends section is that it does have to be a genuine desire to change and become a better person, not to change a person’s perception of you. the thing is u cant expect a person youve hurt to forgive you. you cant expect people to be sympathetic towards you nor should u attempt to make urself sympathetic. u shouldnt be expecting a pat on the back or an award. redemption is about internal and character change.

why dream should not be redeemed

ive already established the key points to a good redemption (imo) but heres where dream falls short. his actions are extremely heavy so redemption may not even really be possible. abuse is not something you can wave off so it does cross to the point of fucked up. acknowledgement of what he did was wrong? all he said was that he changed, yet never explained why he changed or was too vague. he needed to label specifically what he did and bring it up. attempting to make amends? he’s been doing the exact opposite in fact he continues to manipulate tommy and ranboo. its not a genuine change. he is still repeating the cycle and has given no indication of ceasing. at the moment he does not have any signs of redemption.

and the thing is most of the attention around a dream redemption comes from either justifying his motives (which i do want to emphasize does not make anything suddenly okay) and because he is sad in prison sad face. these are not good reasons. its gonna pain me severely to bring this up but snape from harry potter does have some form of sad character ig yet he very much abused his authority to bully children as old as 11 just because he said ‘aight gonna die’ doesnt suddenly make his general bigotry and abuse suddenly okay there is a threshold. again im so sorry for using harry potter as an example none were coming to mind and i needed a popular one i do not like harry potter please dont say i do i would pass away.

and the last thing to consider is the audience. keep in mind that the audience is composed of minors and while yes there are adults, minors are the main component of the fandom. keep in mind that there are quite a few people who can relate to tommys character because they might be in the same position or have gone through his experiences. tell me what kind of message does it send to that audience that abusers can be redeemed. this is not a narrative u should push to this audience in these situations and the writers are seemingly aware of it. remember how in exile tommy spiraled into a suicidal mentality? consider how fucked of a message it would be if he just committed suicide instead of escaping abuse and attempting to recover from his experiences. tommy did an excellent job in not going that route and having a message of ‘it will not get better’. its the same thing here. victims are not obligated to care for or forgive their abuser, and portraying an abuser as sympathetic might fuck with the message a lot, even change their perception in that ‘oh, maybe my abuser was right, maybe they had a reason for treating me the way they did’. this is not to say that every victim watching this will internalize this message, but people also look up to these characters. there can be a degree of influence from the story onto oneself and thats the dangerous part.

conclusion

all in all dream is a shitbag asshole and probably shouldnt get a redemption because it would not be pog thanks for coming to my ted talk.

‘My Next Life as A Villainess’ Anime is over...

SO WHAT NOW???

A lot of us are disappointed that Katarina’s adventures are finally over, and a lot of us are gonna miss watching the wacky hi-jinks of our dense villainess. I’ve seen a lot of people say that they will stop posting or paying attention to hamefura after the anime ends, and while I might be the same to some extent, I just want to say that there are still a lot of hamefura things to look forward to after the anime ends!

These are actually some very obvious things to look forward to, but you know I’d still like to share them so you can use them to fill the hole in your heart that the anime left behind.

The Manga

Hamefura still has an on-going manga that is currently in Chapter 3 of the Light Novels! A lot of you already read it, and understand that it can get frustrating when there’s a lack of updates on the english side of things, but if you’re really curious, you can go over and check out the JP releases every month so you can have an idea of whats to come for the manga :DD (The fan translation of ENG Chapter 26 came out a few days ago so you know it’s not dead!!)

I’d recommend reading the english translation on Mangadex, since most translation groups officially upload their translation on there. 

The Spin-off (Hametsuo/Bakarina Alter)

It deserves it’s own category for just how unique it is in terms of its reception in the western crowd. I know a lot of people probably read it, but I guess people barely talk about because it’s not really that far into it’s premise yet. 

I just can’t stop recommending this manga to people (despite not going where I thought it’d be) because of how good the art-style is and how much promise it has. It updates monthly, which I know is a long wait, but it does pay off when you see the quality of everything. Plus it’s just fun to imagine how hamefura would go if it followed the typical “villainess otome isekai” format.

The Light Novels

I’m happy to read that a lot of people are gonna go switch and buy the light novels after the anime ends! By the time the anime ends, the Vol. 6 of the LN would release a week later, acting kind of like a replacement of what is supposed to be a new episode for that week.

The fan-translated version of the web novel is available online, up until half of Vol. 4, but I still recommend buying the books on bookwalker (i don’t know if the sale is still there, but I’d recommend picking up the book regardless!). If reading the fan translation piqued your interest, then playing for the books would definitely worth your money if you ask me! 

An increase of sales might show them that there’s interest for this light novel, and might make them translate the JP novels even faster! (or maybe i’m just too impatient to wait 2-3 months for Volume 7 dshfjsfgs who knows?)

My only warning is that the tone really does shift post-arc 1 (Fortune Lover I) so if you’re looking for harem hijinks, from spoilers I’ve seen I think there would less of that and more of world building. (ps. please stop asking me where to read it ;;-;;)

Edit: Volume 8 is coming out in a few months, with Volume 9 probably being released at either Jan or Feb next year, then after that it’ll be a yearly update

StoryMe Otome Game

I’m surprised a lot of people doesn’t know about the StoryMe game, despite it updating every week alongside the anime. Just kidding I didn’t either lol, I actually found about this thanks to the hamefura reddit discord server! StoryMe is a choose-your-own-adventure otome game, kind of like those “Episodes” or “Chapters” game that gets recommended on Youtube a lot. 

It’s still in japanese, which is probably why not a lot of people knows of it yet, but it seems like you can play as Katarina and romance anyone from the entire harem (yes, the girls too), so keep you eyes peeled for if ever it gets an english translation!

It’s basically the bluray Fortune Lover game with the DVDs, but instead of Maria, you actually get to play as Katarina!

(I’ll make a separate post for this later, maybe)

Edit: The game just came out in English in September 16, and just spat out a 11-episode update at September 30

tldr: go play it, it has 19 episodes out right now

Katarina’s Farm

It’s a newly announced mobile game with a web trial version that centers around playing as Katarina, trying to earn money and points for expanding your farm land, planting more expensive plants and getting the other members of the harem to join you! It’s a 2D pixel game that seems like it wouldnt take too much time to play (you can get the first 4 characters within 30 minutes of gameplay, but that might be adjusted in the mobile version) so I understand if it might not interest some people, but that’s still something to look forward to!

The Bluray Otome Game

While I can’t say this for certain, but maybe if there was ever an official english bluray release, it might include the Fortune Lover Male Capture Target Routes that are included in the game. Maybe someone will play it and translate it even! It would interesting to see how different the boys are, and give us further appreciation for Katarina’s influence and changes!

There’s a preview for a CG in Keith’s Route, which comes with the second bluray (no pv for Geordo ;; w ;;)

We don’t know if they’ll ever be released in English though, so hopefully someone translates them at least ;;w;;

Missing the hilarious and heartwarming antics of Katarina and her harem? Then you should check out the Manga Anthology (that has just been been translated in its entirety). It’s 14 chapters of absolute hilarity!

There’s also a Yuri Anthology, featuring the 4 girls of the harem! If you’re looking for more of that then, it’s an absolute recommendation!

The Second Season of the Anime

I seriously wasn’t expecting another season, considering how different the next arc is, but I’m happy nonetheless for more Bakarina! I hope this motivates the fans to continue supporting the series, as a bigger reaction will definitely lead to more content for us to enjoy! I have a theory about S2, which I think is worth the read :3c

Other Otome Isekais

There’s a lot of other Villainess Otome Isekai’s that are worth the read, and a lot of them as just as interesting as hamefura, despite the lack of a harem (from deep rooted revenge to hilarious and crazy villainess, there’s a lot!) The quickest recommendation I can give is just looking up “Akuyaku” and “Villainess” on Mangadex (do both btw they dont have the same results), but theres a lot that doesn’t get recommended so do your research! I swear it’s worth your time!

Anyways, I hope any of these fill the hole that the hamefura anime will leave in our hearts as we wait for season 2! (sorry for repeating the same line again hdsfgdjhsfg) Feel free to add anything like fanfic recommendations and artists, as I can’t cover everything on my own, as those really help provide hamefura fans with content :DD

Okay, so before I go off about my recursive fanfic I should probably touch on the AU’s basic premise and some important things that were established:

Soon after Skybound, Jay ends up turned into a Djinn. The why/how isn’t quite concrete yet, best guess is like, vengeance curse? Maybe?

But basically yeah, Jay’s a Djinn now. And he doesn’t like it very much.

(Especially because his limits for wishes are ever so slightly different—he still can't grant love, but harm is now specifically death, and he has no limit on how many wishes he grants, but instead can't be wished back to normal.)

Also, after season 7, events end up causing Sensei Garmadon to return. That’s important too.

Now to the fanseason idea.

So at one point, an idea arose for an actual plot point for the AU. Here’s it paraphrased from the asks on blursed:

At one point Jay meets a group of friendly Djinn who are immediately worried for him because this guy is really young by Djinn standards and he's apparently been cursed? Cue concerned Djinn trying to figure out how to free Jay from his “master(s)” (Are they all his masters, or is it just one of them sharing his services with their companions? If so, which one is it?) Of course they assume he’s unable to help in anyway, because what kind of a person with a trapped Djinn wouldn’t order them to not aid in their own escape? So they aren’t actually asking him. It’s a disaster.

The group of Djinn are like Djinjago refugees or something, and at one point it gets wished for Djinjago to be restored.

Ok, with the group of Djinn trying to help him, they first meet Jay disguised (Most of them in human form, though there is at least one disguised as a dog) The Djinn immediately recognize him as a Djinn, and are very concerned for him as there is a villain around enslaving Djinn (probably Clouse). Before the misunderstanding starts, they hover around Jay for a bit, worried for this small child disguised as a human teen. Then the whole "Genie" thing starts and they decide to rescue him from his "masters".

Enslaved Djinns have to grant whatever wishes are possible for them to grant, no question. They can only grant wishes for the one who has them captured, and have no limits on how many wishes they can grant them.

"Your wish is my command" is the typical Enslaved Djinn wish granting line, and is pretty horrifying for any djinn to hear. Jay gets caught by the djinn-catching villain and is forced to grant a wish. The line being changed is the first sign something's wrong

This got me inspired to come up with, like, a full-fledged fanseason for the AU. Or at least the basic idea for how one could work.

Desert Moon.

...Yes it’s named after the deleted live-action Disney Aladdin song, look, it’s an awesome and fitting song, okay?! Okay.

oh no prob, i did enjoy thinking of what i could change without adding anything new (i will talk too much if i dont contain myself) BUT since you have asked...

ill share these ideas as a general change to the series as a whole (WR and Acceleracers- also i will call Acceleracers AC for short if i need to).

There is a lot i feel needs to change- but two major points are lore (and direction of it in the story) and characters.

The lore of the series is all weird due to what changed between WR and AC, but its also too surface level. its for kids, its probably why its not so expansive. but it does leave a lot of confusion to me and while i would have to spend much more time to fully “rebuild” the world, i will give some ideas on what i would see changed.

One, at least making it make sense all the way through. i think Acceleracers had the best ideas but it shouldve been expanded on in WR- WR barely touched on actual Acceleron lore. Overall i would like to see the Accelerons 100% remade from the ground up. i LOVE aliens and alien society but i feel all we know of them is they race. and thats its. and sadly AC wasnt seen through to where we may have seen a bit more. but they need to be redone, with lore also point to exactly why the drones woke up when they did, what their drive is, etc. Why is Gelorum the way she is too, very important lor aside from characters. I wouldnt want the series to become a huge Lore Dump but there are moments where they intended to drop lore and they just. dont really do that, at least not well. Imagining the series with more extensive lore would obviously see it being longer than what it is, which i think makes sense. in the end if i was to properly write out all lore it would be a huge rebuild of 1) the Accelerons as an alien society, in depth 2) the full origins of the Drones/Gelorums (how they ended up where they did, what makes them how they are now and 3) a more cohesive plotting of events that would lead to lore revealed. also developing what “Scrim” and “clyp” were, along with the actual depth of Silencerz and how far back they go has been on my mind a lot. scrim and clyp just vanish from lore but in my headcanon backstory for Gelorum, i mention how those things existed too. if anyone has more specific questions on lore tho i can answer those individually! its just a lot to go over lol.

The characters though, oh god where do i start. not gonna touch on every individual (feel free to ask about someone and how i would rewrite them/change them), but theres a lot i would want to see different.

Theres some good ideas in the series that are just not explored much, or the actions dont feel like they have impacts. And many characters have literally zero backstory to go off of... Everyone needs at least some kinda origin in mind, doesnt have to be said but knowing where they come from is one key detail that i think is nice to drop some times. characters referncing locations, where they went, etc... its little but its good to have. In the WR comics, most of these characters do have origins! but theyre completely forgotten in the movies it seems. it would have been cool it WR tied together some of these ‘really good drivers’ and maybe they were in the same races together or something. there are 35 people and none of them seem to know each other at least not in detail- other than Vert and Alec who are clearly friends. Kurt Wylde was written to have done some “illegal” modifications in a race, what is someone there knew him? what if it brought up tension/suspicions? Things like that, its all part of where they come from and its a shame the movies just dont connect them very well.

I think theres some specific characters i will give examples to ‘rewrtiting’ and most of it is AC focused!

Kurt & Markie..... i love them, really do! but after WR i just did not like where they went. i get it, kinda ironic for Markie to become such an opposite. buuuut it was a bit much to me. first off, i would actually expand on the “crime” and that would 100% change the outcome of the two. the period between WR and AC shouldve gone different and in turn, i think wouldve changed up MM and Teku completely! i want to imagine Kurt is trying to get away from bad habits after WR but, perhaps has a really good deal with someone who had also gotten him into illegal car part business in the past. he is tempted and ropes Markie in with the idea they could do so more secretly but are caught, and while Markie is nervous and young he spills all the beans, but none of that evidence goes to Kurt and he stays silent, managing to get out of it. However instead of Kurt going to Teku and Markie going to MM.... Kurt tries to join Teku in the idea of joining a less rowdy gang, but Vert believes full Kurt let his brother take all the blame- so they dont allow him in. He goes for MM, which takes him easily but this team’s energy really doesnt help him. In turn, Markie leaves jail and Vert is swift to allow Markie into Teku because theyre friends! and it helps keep Markie in a better place, not wanting to get back into bad stuff. The important thing is tho, this switch up wouldnt result in super harcore, asshole Kurt. i feel like instead, he would be in an awkward place of wanting to improve himself but MM’s rebellious attitude coaxes him into worse attitudes. AND... very much an oppurtunity for Gelorum to manipulate him once more, as the accelechargers are much more important to acquire, with multiple, we’d loop back again. in the end though! i could imagine the story would still bring in the same scenario- Markie gets taken by drones, Kurt saves him, they rekindle and Kurt also comes to realize he shouldnt give in to the ways he used to practice.

i think for AC, in order to find more interest in the characters,  a switch up with the teams would be neat. Markie and Kur swapping was always on my mind, but i have thought about Teku!Taro. I think it would’ve been cool to throw in an background guy from WR into MM... like Harrison Lau. some more familiar faces would bring interesting dyanmics considering their backgrounds. and it think it wouldve fleshed out the teams a bit more in places they lacked.

Another thing i think is clear is there is lots of unexplored potential. Like dyanmics i express with Markie, characters like Lani, Karma, Tork, etc... oh there is so much i would add for them. Karma has a weird thing with being mentioned to look like Gelorum, and her prefectionism too but it was never touched on. What if it caused conflict? What if it made her question their morals? Or with Tork- i would honestly just rewrite how he tackles Tone’s death and the resolution, that whole thing in movie was weird and messy and made no sense to me imo. Lanu had something going for her but she felt so disconnected from the WR characters in AC, which is a shame! oh there are so many to go over lol. i hope to tackle some of these loose ends in the fics i have in mind but yeah... there is so much to say about changing these characters!!
