They're doing what in The Amazing Spider-Man? Had there been anything good with Spider-Man? What is going on with the comics.
I was talking about how people keep bitching about marvel movies because that seems to be the scapegoat for everything wrong in Hollywood.
Now I'm wondering why they're not bitching about the comics.
God, I'm probably not the best person to discuss what's wrong with the new Spider-Man comics cause I don't read comics, but if you want a couple of key points of contention
Mary Jane broke up with Peter for stupid reasons, and is now married to some random dude named Paul, also for stupid reasons.
Kamala Khan was there for pretty much no reason, did very little and had very few lines during her stint as a supporting character, and will be killed off in #26, leading into the one-shot Fallen Friend: The Death of Ms. Marvel
But yeah, unfortunately, people are still bitching about the movies. I honestly don't get why, I've personally enjoyed most of the new movies so far.

Prompt 226
"Mother. Mother. Mom. Mum. Mother. Mom-"
Danny sighed as Dan did his best to annoy him, no doubt revenge for the child leash. Which wouldn't have been needed if not for his continued attempts to go off on his own.
As a five year old.
Which wasn't going to happen, no thanks. They had to deal with people trying to kidnap them as "elf people" or something in this dimension already. Ancients, can't people let him travel with his kids for vacation in peace?!

the entire season they've shown sylvie perpetually being okay to just walk away from the fray and getting no consequences whatsoever. which would be ok since she doesn't rlly care about them like loki does. but in the end she just moves on so fast after she watched loki isolate himself and go off JUST to fix her mistake.......
meanwhile mobius is there, frozen in that time, left behind by the person he's an "expert" on not only bc of his job but bc of their friendship, him quitting the job that was his entire life, because loki has left and his previous purpose didn't have loki anymore
it's just fucked up how everyone else got their happy endings (good for them) except for loki and mobius. they're apart, separated once again, looking miserable in their last shots. just like last season.

I don't even understand why Star Trek has to have arcs about saving the galaxy or whatever. I would not only be happy with a "planet of the week" episode series, I would be perfectly happy with watching a starship go into a star survey and discussing new additions to the Hertzsprung–Russell diagram based on new observations. That's fucking science fiction too, just people talking about weird cool stuff that you can only see with a spaceship.

Lowkey annoyed and amused by all the people in the Dune tag saying they didn't like Dune 2 because it made adaptational changes but they don't even elaborate on why the changes are bad, or are open to any of them as improvements, just that they don't like that they changed things.
Like this isn't about people who are actually giving it thought and are looking at the film with a critical lens. It's just a baffling number of people expecting a 1 to 1 recreation and saying that the movie was terrible because Denis had the nerve to not make every single Fremen character uncritically suck Paul's dick the whole film

Prompt 192
Danny feels exhausted. His stupid ghost-puberty is annoying, and is affecting even his human form. Which wouldn’t be that bad, except for the fact that instead of having a simple elemental or obsession core, he happens to have a Space one. Technically the Space Core seeing as apparently he’s the newborn Ancient of Space. Or something.
Urgh, he just wants to get some food from the dollar store down the street, not deal with whatever attempted mugging this is. He’s hangry, and just wants to get some food and curl back up in his mass of blankets back in his tiny apartment.
So maybe he overreacted. He might have released his very careful hold on his less-than human traits that have been attempting to leak through the last several weeks. On the bright side, he, uh, isn’t hungry anymore and is now back in his nest of blankets.
On the other hand, there is now a vigilante in his window.

I'm rewatching all the Marvel Defenders shows on Netflix and as much as I mock the MCU now, I need non-Marvel fans to understand that I was and still am a fan of "Daredevil fighting the gentrifying assshole who bought out the police force because ACAB both as a lawyer and vigilante of the community" and "Jessica Jones fighting the man who mind controlled her into doing unspeakable things and forming a community of fellow survivors and allies while dealing with PTSD in a range of both healthy and unhealthy ways" Marvel. God I love these idiots they carried so hard

thinking about edwin courcey who grew up convinced that he was worthless, believing that there must be something wrong with him, for him to be such a target. who grew up angry and prickly and unpleasant because of it and who can’t comprehend for so long that he’s someone who people can like and miss and want to be around. who’s first instinct was always to hide away or snap because for too long any teasing meant real pain, real intent, real hatred. thinking about edwin courcey who’s learning that he’s worth something and that not every tease has to be met with claws and that people do want him around for who he really is, even if it’s still hard and people still make it unbelievable sometimes (I’m talking about myself)
