Kid Au
So.... since this chapter is taking me a hot minute and this week is, shall we say, not full of a lot of free time, I offer, humbly, an Au of the Au.
The kid Au.
The gist is that Zib discovers that he has magic much earlier. Much, much earlier. Around the age of 10. Since he’s 10, and siblings are siblings and tend to fight and when they fight...
Tumblr media
Accidents happen. Now Zib doesn’t necessarily know how he managed to get Dib in there, and so he does what any scared child would do: tell his dad. Unfortunately Membrane in this au is clinical levels of oblivious and the conversation goes like this:  Zib: DAD HELP
Membrane: Ah hello son, what seems to be the problem?
Zib: I TRAPPED DIB IN A MIRROR
Membrane: I don’t see anything wrong here.
Dib: DAD PLEASE
Membrane: Now where did your brother go...
Tumblr media
Gaz has 0 patience for Zib’s nonsense. Especially because he keeps accidentally casting magic. Eventually they manage to put together a plan to head to Irk to get Dib out, although Zim’s not initially on board.
With Dib trapped, Zim doesn’t have to marry Dib. Win win.
Tumblr media
He does not get a say in the matter. (the ‘can’t go 10 ft curse’ is applied here because it’s funny).
And thus our intrepid kiddos must find a way to go to Irk before Dib is a reflection forever and maybe become friends along the way. They have to sneak out because Membrane has the kingdom on lockdown until Dib is found, and Zib has to wrestle with his envy and the temptation to not let Dib out. Gaz is doing her best to knock some sense into all of them. Zim gets to realize that the Membranes aren’t so bad, even Dib.
Credit to @shandzii for the adorable art, I love seeing the beans. I want to pat Zib on the head he’s so cute. Au aus are fun. We have somewhere around *counts* five? Six? Something like that.

do you have any recs for good gen fics?
Yeah! Lemme wrack my brain for a hot sec
"Parade of Indignities" by @rissynicole is a 10/10 fic, good development all around excellent time (except for the characters but who asked them). Complete and fuckin great.
"Every Star Another Sun" by @dionysuscrysis is gen, the later works in the series are borderline zadr but it's mostly qp so you can read it either way. Death defying action and heart wrenching angst.
"Droit" by @perfectlysteadyzombi has Dib gain two whole parental figures in the form of the tallest much to their shock. A fun ride throughout.
"Honesty Hour" by @patchworkpoltergeist is another stand out but not for the faint of heart. Beware if psychological torture isn't your thing. If it is? Dig in.
"The Cotton Candy Incident" by @cdarkheartzero is going strong and I do quite enjoy their particular form of prose. Very tasty stuff, as the name would imply.
"Tech Support" by @paketdimensioncomic and @dana-chan-the-control-brain give the world the computer characterization that you didn't know you needed and will crave like water once you realize you do need it.
These are just a few off the top of my head, there's a whole bunch more I'm sure I missed, but I hope this helps!

What’s delta and marizas relationship like after she becomes full sea goddess (if I interpreted that’s what happened)? Is delta still trying to recover her memory or pursue a relationship or anything?
Tumblr media
Bingo anon, once Delta sees Mariza again, it's uh... complicated. The way I describe is it:
Friends -> Lovers -> Strangers -> Enemies (light, more just because Mariza is feisty and Delta is frustrated) -> Lovers
They run the whole gamut.
This isn't to say that Delta didn't try to move on while she thought Mariza was dead it just... didn't go well.

The bullet points that I keep talking about if you follow me that I often repeat over and over. These aren’t “unpopular opinions” persay. Just my opinions that I usually circle back around to because I have a short term memory:
"but what if they were all friends?"
"Miss Bitters is Queen."
"Membrane tries his best but still kinda sucks at parenting."
"You get an existential crisis, and you get and existential crisis and you-"
“There is nothing more beautiful then a loud, violent and evil man falling for a deadly, silent and cold woman.”
“Konan is queen”
"I'm sick of enemies/rivals to lovers already. Get out of here Naruto and Sasuke. Goodbye Deku and Baku. Who the freak is Dib and Zim? Kakuzu and Hidan? No more for me thanks, I’m full! Why do two characters who hate each other need to be gay all the time? Like I'm queer and even I'm tired."
"(playing pokemon heartgold for the ten thousandth time and remembering how hard I simped for the Rival as a child) okay. But I one hundred percent see the appeal."
"Irkens are cats. Evidence? Shhhhhh purring irken go brrrr"
"Zim's Computer had maybe five speaking roles overall including the unreleased episodes and the movie. But I love him. He is overworked and underpaid. He deserves the world. I'm gonna develop him"
"Everyone will become Dad. There is no escape. Dad-beam. You're dad now. (and this isn’t a coping mechanism for severely missing my father who passed away 5 years ago........probably not... ) "
"I can like the fandom and show for separate reasons. Sometimes I don't even like the fandom."
“I’m so lucky I like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe for what they are. I don’t even know what the fuck is going on in those fandoms after being fans since they premiered. Thank lord for that.”
"I need to stop buying empty notebooks and books I never read.”
“Should I watch this show or not? It’s popular... but meh... but what are people talking about....  aaaaaaaaa”  (typically about anything)
“I’m the smartest dumb person I know.”
“...Okay edgelord. Maybe have a hottopic gift card and calm down.”
“Enter the Florpus has it’s share of flaws, but I still adore it overall, just because it put the characters in a venerable position that I haven’t seen before..... I know it’s played for comedy and no one cares, but there’s so much to be done with those changed dynamics.”
“The colors of the Florpus AND the show are pretty in their own ways! GIRLS! Stop fighting! THEY’RE BOTH PRETTY!”
“When people ask about Zim’s age, it’s usually code for ‘who’s safe to ship him with’ and I frankly don’t trust like that.”
“Hahahaa. Akachou... that’s a name I haven’t heard in years....”
“I’ve been in fandom for too long, and I think I understood that during all my time in Naruto I hated a majority of the fandom. I hated the ships, I hated the hot takes, I complained so much about the source material and the content creator behind the show. I talked in great length about the problems Naruto had and was in constant debate with fans who “flanderized” my favorite character who was underdeveloped and only appeared in 4 episodes our of 600 plus anyways....In the Invader Zim fandom, I actually LIKE a majority of the fandom and the content I surround myself with. And honestly... it’s a far more pleasant experience. And I think that’s what fandom is supposed to be....  Like..... I feel I was doing it wrong this whole time and I’m finally here now and I’m free now, I can talk about things that interest me and people are far more respectful of headcanons then I’ve ever seen with what I got with Naruto fandom. I had this weird love/hate relationship with Naruto I don’t even know if I like the show itself anymore.... but when I see the little orange ninja, I get excited and nostalgic still, so I think it has a place in my heart but not in my current life..... I wasted so much time and energy being angry... I’m glad I’m accepted by Invader Zim community where I make the most basic found family story but there’s something real cathartic about that..... I finally found what fandom means to me and why it’s important after all this time.”
“I’m done writing evil endings. Want to make the world a brighter place now. (accidently stabs someone, gives the characters more emotional trauma and makes their mental illness a thousand times worse before the healing begins) ...........I think I’m doing this wrong.”

Jeremy Spoke In Class Today
Tumblr media
Author's Note: I've had this story idea in mind for years. Today, I finally wrote it out. So...trigger warning. The follow content isn't for the faint of heart. The story you're reading is going to contain violent imagery. Harsh depictions of violence and death. I write this story not to make you disgusted, but in inspiration from a very famous song about this very subject matter, and as a warning to all who may be on the verge of becoming their own Jeremies.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I want you to tell me what happened."
The air is sultry, choking the life out of those that sit in the room. It's quiet. Still. Uncomfortable. Every single person that's been in this room has to tell him what they saw. It's just them and the cop. The cop is trying to go easy on them, he speaks quietly, softly, carefully. There's a social worker just to his right, in case any of the children start to cry.
None of them have yet. That's good.
Right?
The first interviewed had blood splattered all over his right eye. It doused his glasses, his black jacket, a splotch falling on the dark blue undershirt he wore, with the "meh" looking cartoony face atop it. His black hair is slicked up in a scythe, his skin paler than usual. He's quiet and somber as he speaks.
"I would…see him drawing in class. Stuff he'd taken from home."
Dibbun Membrane kneads his hands together in his lap. His breathing is shallow, but he speaks all the same.
"Drawing pictures of mountaintops, with him on top. Lemon yellow sun, arms raised in a "v"." Dib confesses as he bits his lip, and looks down at the desk. If he closes his eyes, he can still see them, and see himself. He sees himself peering to the left, looking at Jeremy. Jeremy, who's got so little hair that the kids tease him for going bald so early. Jeremy, who has the kind of fat, sort of ugly nose. Who's got small ears, and a kind of skinny frame. Dib can see him, drawing at his desk, drawing himself as king of the mountain.
And the dead lie in pools of maroon below.
"I know he talked about…how his dad didn't pay attention to him. We had that in common." Dib goes on. "I'd bring it up to him too. My dad can't even remember exactly when my birthday is. The last time we ate out together as a family was when it was my birthday last year. My sister's having her's coming up soon, then it'll be mine. Every other meal, there this…robot. It asks us in our Dad's voice if we love him, and we gotta select "yes" on the screen before it lets us have our food." Dib confesses. "So I told him "How sad is that? I've had a dad replaced with a TV screen that keeps asking for love and can't show it"."
"What did he say?" The cop wants to know, though, deep down, he really isn't sure he wants to.
Dib sighs. "He said "Yeah. Sucks. But I'd rather have that than a Dad who IS there…and even though he's looking at you, he isn't seeing you". That's what he told me. His Dad never actually talked to him. Doesn't ask ONE question about how his day or week's gone. And his mom's no better. She doesn't care. She's only there every once in a while, she's always working, like…some kind of lawyer, I think. She's some kind of lawyer. And then there's the birthday gifts."
"What did he get?"
"A card and a little check." Dib sighs. "I know a lot of kids who'd love that, but there's never any parties. And they don't even put anything in the card. Not even their name. He showed me that too when he showed me the check. I think he used the checks to save up for that…for what he brought in to class." Dib murmurs as he rubs the back of his neck, feeling the air choking his throat again. "So his dad isn't paying attention, and his mother doesn't care. So what does he have left? Isn't it sad when I'M his only real friend and we're only really…like, we just talk sometimes at Recess or lunch. That's…wow. I mean…just…" He trails off.
There's silence for what seems like ages. Then he speaks up again, and says the same thing the other boy said, the one with the bad black hair, the green skin, who didn't have a nose or ears.
"Then one day he attacked Ms. Bitters."
"He attacked a teacher?"
"We all remember picking on the boy. Zim especially. He was a…what's your term? Lightweight? Pathetic. As Torque Smacky put it, a "harmless little fuck"." Zim goes on. He's wearing his normal dark maroon shirt, three small stripes across it, dark pants, boots, gloves. He looks oddly…cold. He's usually smug in class. Or frowning. His face is different. It's almost expressionless. It is as if he's trying to comprehend something but can't.
"How did he attack Ms. Bitters?"
"We had no idea we'd unleashed a lion." Zim goes on. "He was yelling at Torque. Torque had insulted him again. Jeremy actually does something Zim approves of, and kicks him squarely in the face. It's glorious, his nose is broken on the spot." Zim nods firmly. "Torque begins tearing the kid's hair out as they tumble about on the ground, and Jeremy, in turn, begins biting Torque wherever he can. Ms. Bitters slithers her way onto the playground and everyone turns silent. We had all been cheering and jeering, laughing, pumping our fists into the air, the cry of "Fight, Fight, Fight" stops at once. Zim sees her forcibly lift Torque and Jeremy off the ground. She shakes them, first Jeremy, then Torque. She's turning to Torque to admonish him after she's got Jeremy in one hand, but it isn't a good grip, and he breaks free, and then it happened."
"He bit her?"
"He bites her on the chest." Zim rests his hands on the desk he's sitting at, faint dust motes wafting through the air about him as he speaks. "I've never seen her look so…astounded. Jeremy is screaming. "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you", and he punches her in the face, and her glasses shatter. The skies are all cloudy and it looks like it might rain, and she just stares at him. Zim can SEE the slowly building rage. She's going to kill him on the spot. It was amazing. I'd never seen such raw fury in two human faces before."
He almost sounds…intoxicated. Impressed.
"I was just…astounded by it. He gets hauled off, by his arms, into the school. He's got detention for a week. We find out he even got a paddling from Ms. Bitters, and as he walks by me in the hallway a day later, I look down and see his pants have been ripped. Ms. Bitters had been paddling him so hard that morning that she tore his pants and he can't go home to get new ones. So I laugh. I sing that human song, "I see Paris, I see France, Zim can see your underpants". Something like that."
The green-skinned child rubs his cheek. Not two hours ago, blood was dripping down it, splattered over his left eye to drizzle down his cheek and onto his shirt and his arm. Jeremy's blood.
"He hits me with a surprise left hook. He almost breaks my jaw. MY jaw." Zim speaks. "I had no idea humans could hit so hard."
"…it is a mortal sin."
Sara can barely bring herself to speak. She's from a very Catholic family and she commonly dresses as a nun. She's been clutching her rosaries and fumbling with her words and she won't look the cop in the face.
"He's done a mortal sin. You cannot ever, ever, EVER do such a thing. I don't understand why you'd damn yourself to Hell like that, he-his…his head. His head!" She murmurs. She grips the rosaries so tightly, her knuckles whiten. The cop almost thinks they're going to pop right out of the skin. "There was…yellow stuff. Not just…not just the blood, and all that pink but…yellow stuff. Wh-where does the yellow stuff even come from?"
"I understand this must be very difficult for you to talk about." The cop tries to say, Sara feeling the tears springing to her eyes.
"So much of it." She murmurs. "So much of that…yellow stuff. And…and the yellow stuff, it…it got all over the blackboard. They will never erase that. We will never, ever forget this." She whispers out.
"Did Jeremy ever talk to you or anyone else in class about his problems at home? Did he ever talk to anyone about being…mad? Or very angry? Or sad? Did he ever bring up weaponry?" The cop wants to know. Nick has that…odd expression on his face. He, like Jeremy, is missing a good chunk of his head. His skull needed surgery, his brain, like Jeremy's, exposed. But he has a polymer plate from the surgery, his brain is still intact. It isn't in pieces, splattered in splotches like a Pollock painting. Nobody's sure how Nick got the injury to his head, evidently there was some kind of drill that got stuck in his skull, and he had to be rushed to the hospital with a probe removed from his cranium. It's a miracle he can talk. But his smile is unholy. He's…
Laughing.
"Jeremy hardly ever spoke. But Jeremy spoke in class today! Jeremy spoke in class today!" Nick laughs. His smile is horrifying, his laughter sends chills down the cop's spine. "Spoke in…spoke in. Yeah…spoke in class today."
He knows he won't really get much else out of him. The cop dismisses him. He's the last child to be interviewed. Ms. Bitters remains oddly silent. She's waiting outside to be called in, but hasn't said a word. When it finally is her time to speak, when he asks her what happened, her voice is creaky and croaky and she seems miles away.
"I've never, ever had this happen." She takes off her glasses, rubbing them on a hankerchief in her pocket. "Ever. This sort of thing never happened in my day."
"When did you realize he intended to do what he did?"
"He said he had something from his parents that he had to give to me. He'd left it in his locker, he said. He walks out of my room. Five minutes later, he's come back. I don't see what's in his pocket. I should have realized something was wrong. Nick starts….laughing. Just this creepy, foul, laughter, and then, THEN as he raises his arm up, pulling his hand out of his pocket, he says "I've got what I came for." He puts the gun in his mouth, and then his upper head vanishes, and everything's all red and pink and…some…yellow stuff."
She can't say any more. The room is dead silent, and still. It's gone cold, too, as the pitter patter of rain turns into a low roar against the windows. The cop doesn't say anything as Ms. Bitters once again cleans her glasses and then looks out the window.
"It just got…everywhere. I didn't think that somebody could small could have so much blood in him. He's still standing upright for a good…twenty seconds. And we can see parts of his skull have flown up into the ceiling tiles. Then one of them falls out, and when it hits the ground, he collapses, and his blood is pooling out, and it's soaking into Dib and Zim's shoes. And that's when I hear Sara screaming, and Nick is laughing, and he keeps saying "Jeremy spoke in class today". Over and over and over…"
The boy's parents are being informed of what's happened. Neither of them have any explanation for how Jeremy got hold of a gun. They didn't even seem to be aware he even HAD been being paddled at school. Evidently Jeremy was supposed to tell his parents of his punishment. Whether he did or didn't isn't known, but the cop is fairly sure Jeremy did. They just weren't really listening.
The crime scene is a mess. Jeremy's desk even more so, scattered pictures lying inside, with the boy atop a mountain, arms raised in a "v", and the dead lay in pools of maroon below.
How do things get so bad that you resort to this? Why did nobody speak out? Reach out? Could anything any of the children have stopped this with some kind words? Or perhaps it really was all on the fault of the parents?
The cop doesn't know.
The children, however, do. Or at least…Dib does. And he'll remember what happened that day, and take it to the grave. He will never forget the way Jeremy's head vanished in the flash of the gunfire. The splattering of blood on his glasses, the bone fragment that shot up, up into the air, and plunked off his desk and onto the floor below. He can't forget that horrible, insane laughter from Nick. How Zim looked so...stunned. Almost broken.
Dib wonders if Zim's ever actually seen a dead body before in his life. Dib had, when his mother died. This was different.
He's not going to forget. Not ever.
He will always remember the day Jeremy spoke in class.
And he's going to have a little talk with his father. Before it becomes his turn to talk in class.

About Villain!Professor Membrane:
-He’s a secret Irken, and neither of his kids know this because he’s always stayed in disguise. While on Irk, he was a scientist that worked on keeping the control brains functioning and also worked to re-encode PAKs. He started getting a power trip as he felt the lives of Irkens in his hands, and secretly began experimenting on those that were sent to him. This power craving only grew when Almighty Tallest Spork was killed, and being that he was taller than his fellow Irkens, he was sent to get a height enhancement and become the next Tallest. Yet as he worked on Control Brains, he knew that they would only keep him in check. He wanted real power, not to be a drone of those things. So, after the injection grew him to a good 6′4′’, before his PAK could be re-encoded into Tallest, he fled from the coding planet and began to look for a far, far distant place where he could control an empire to his own liking. This brought him to Urth, where he lived in Mexico for a good few years and took on the disguise of a human scientist. He worked on cutting off all communication to Irken tracking, and since he was so far away he was able to go completely off grid after only a few urth years. Paranoid that he’d still be found, however, he moved to a small city in America that hid him well.
-After years of making his way to the top, both by eliminating his rivals and proving his intelligence, Membrane became a well known scientist who’s goals seemed pure: that of world peace. Of course, his real goal, is complete control of the planet. Which should be easy due to the idiots that inhabited the planet. However, he found that due to the faster gravitational pull, he was aging faster than he would on Irk. He needed to slow down the process, and began experimenting on himself to do so. Making his body more mechanical, with cybernetic limbs, he thought it would do the trick. It didn’t, and he had one other choice. A clone. Yet without the access to Irken systems, he couldn’t simply put his PAK on a new body. He had to create something entirely new.
-Dib was the first success in a line of human and Irken hybrid engineering. The only way he was able to get his experiment to work, was by copying the human aging system from the start. Ironic how that damn aging problem was still going strong. But he was sure that his work would carry on in this boy.
-Membrane, at first, was an excellent parent. He cared about Dib more than anything, and like any Irken, the child was already a genius when he was young. Except... he was a little too into his Irken lineage, instead of the science that Membrane was trying to teach him. After a tough decision, the man wiped his young son’s memory of anything Irken, and tried anew. Yet the boy still only wanted to focus on space, and aliens. No matter what he did, he couldn’t get Dib to stop obsessing over them. It was a good thing he also had Gaz.
-Gaz was his second successful attempt, but with her he put more humanity into creating her. She would be free to choose her own path, and he would watch what she chose with fascination. She soon became his favorite after Dib grew without following the path he chose. Yet after a conversation with Gaz about what she wanted to be in the future, she also said her disdain at being a scientist.
-When he found out his two clones wouldn’t carry on the legacy, Membrane stopped being a good parent. He began obsessing over making sure that his legacy would carry on, and Dib especially became subject to that hunger for control. While he used to give the boy what he wished in hopes of growing out of it, like buying him different paraphernalia of supernatural beings, he became harsher and strict when he was home, insisting that Dib follow the path of real science. When this didn’t work, he began to ignore and ridicule the interest in the paranormal, even when he knew most of what Dib found was real in hopes that the constant disparaging would bring down the boy’s hopes of being a paranormal investigator. It almost did, and he was more than fine with Dib’s focus shifting more towards space. Astrology was fine. But then... Zim came along.
-It was obvious to Membrane that Zim was an Irken, and at first he thought that the Irken child was there for him before it was apparent he was made an invader. Irk really must be falling apart without Miyuki there, and he wondered who became the new Tallests. Because whoever they were sent an absolute idiot. But of course, Dib would see right through the pitiful disguise and ignite his desire for paranormal studies even more.
-As the years went on, Membrane became more neglectful and downright mentally abusive to Dib, who on many cases died in his foolish attempts to “stop Zim”. Membrane had to continuously replace him with copies and infuse his memories, hoping that one of them wouldn’t be a failure. Yet each time, Dib would get up, wipe at his eyes, then declare his mission to fight the Irkens. It frustrated him to no ends, to the point where he began to send him to institutions to try to rid him of the nonsense.
-Meanwhile, he hoped that perhaps if Dib kept being a failure, Gaz would take on the legacy. He was much kinder to her, although plenty neglectful and manipulating. He figured different tactics might work with his other child, but she was far too withdrawn for him to tell if it was working.
-He experiments on his kids , himself, and whoever he gets his hands on all the time. Gaz developed powers from a particular experiment.
-There’s a lot of manipulating with him, especially with Dib. Dib is only praised and paid attention to when he’s following the path that Membrane wants him to.
-He puts on a facade of having a perfect family for the rest of the world, because he doesn’t need his experiments taken away from him.

Mom Miyuki
Some of the human AUs I’ve seen got my thinking about what it’d be like if Zim had a parental figure, and rather than make up a character to fit that role, I thought it’d be interesting to use Miyuki, mostly because I want more content with her. So… I basically rewrote the Parent Teacher Night episode, in a universe where Tallest Miyuki didn’t die, and she kind of handed the reigns of the empire over to Red and Purple, and she stepped into the role of an advisor instead.
(I don’t plan on actually making any more content for this “AU”. I just thought it’d be fun to share what I’ve already made.)
Sharron stepped up to the walkway of the next house on the block, a small, green house with a yard full of garden gnomes whose eyes seemed to follow her. She’d seen stranger houses in her brief time as a makeup saleswoman, and as odd as the owners of that small, green house may be, she knew one thing for certain: there was a woman in there in need of makeup! So she squared her shoulders, put on a big grin, strode up to the front door, and pressed the doorbell.
Faint, mechanical whirring could be heard under the usual chime of the doorbell. Sharron ignored it in favor of pondering over the men’s bathroom sign hanging on the front door. A loud crashing of metal from within the house made her jump. She took a hesitant step back, wondering if she should just move on to the next house. The next second, the door opened, and she found herself staring up at the tallest, greenest woman she’d ever seen in her life. The trademark, saleswoman grin returned to her face.
“Hello! I’m selling makeup, and I just know you’ll find something you just have to have,” She said, lifting the green bag in her hand.
“Makeup?” The tall woman asked, squinting her blue eyes.
“Yes, for example, we have some foundation you might find helpful for covering your complexion.” Sharron opened the bag and reached in for a sample.
“My complexion?” The tall woman asked, lifting a gloved, three-fingered hand to her cheek. “Is there something wrong with it?”
“No! Not at all! We’re all beautiful in our own ways! But sometimes us ladies like to-.”
“Freeeeee stuuuuuffffff!!!!” A new voice shrieked from behind the tall woman. The woman, who seemed equally startled, moved aside, and a small, green dog launched out of the house and knocked Sharron onto her back, sending her makeup bag flying, and samples scattering everywhere.
“Gir!!” The tall woman shouted, running after the dog as it sprinted around the yard, collecting the samples in its stubby arms.
“Ah, um, I-I’ll just… come back later.” Sharron fumbled to grab her bag and shove as much makeup back inside as she could before dashing away, nearly running over a green-skinned boy.
Zim scowled at the saleswoman as she ran away. He had enough to worry about with the upcoming ‘parent teacher night’, without Gir allowing the humans near their base all the time.
“Wait! Come back!! I need stuuuuff!!” Gir shouted, running after the lady. Zim decided to ignore it. Parent teacher night was clearly the bigger problem.
“You! Human! Get out of Zim’s yard!!” He shouted at the other, taller, human female. Her green skin was odd. He’d thought a green skin condition was just something he’d made up to cover his own identity, but if it really existed it made his lie more believable. Her height was also pretty impressive….
“It’s me, Zim,” She said, narrowing her blue eyes. “I came to see how your mission’s going.”
Zim froze. Upon taking a closer look, she was really familiar. He gasped. “M-m-m-m-m-my- My- MY TALLEST!!!!” He screeched.
“Sshhhhhhh!!” Miyuki hissed, glancing around. The few humans that were nearby seemed relatively unperturbed. It was probably a good thing Zim had accidentally established himself as the ‘weird neighbor’ from the very beginning of his time on Urth.
“Tallest Miyuki! It’s such an honor to be visited by someone of your stature! Of course, I knew you would visit eventually, this is an extremely important mission, after all, why else would they have chosen it specifically for Zim!!” Zim rambled as Miyuki ushered him inside the base and closed the door so they could talk safely.
“I’m happy to report things are going well and the humans don’t suspect a thing, well, except for Dib- Oh!! That reminds me!! My Tallest!! I need your help!!”
“Help? With what?”
“Tonight is ‘parent teacher night’ at skool. Zim is expected to bring his parents to prove to the teachers, and Dib, that he is a normal human-creature like the rest of them. I was going to take the robo-parents, but with you here, you can be Zim’s mother!”
“Hmm… sounds interesting… I’ll do it!” Miyuki agreed. “But are you sure my disguise is good enough? That makeup-lady didn’t seem to think so….”
“Your disguise is perfect! It even fooled me!” Zim assured her.
-
At the school, in the cafeteria where the parent teacher meeting was being held, Zim led Miyuki directly over to where Ms. Bitters was talking with a group of other parents. He cleared his throat. Ms. Bitters turned to face him.
“This is my mother. I love her with all of my heart,” Zim said, motioning to Miyuki. Miyuki smiled and waved.
“I see Zim gets his skin condition from you,” Ms. Bitters commented in her gravely voice. “What about Zim’s father? Is he here tonight?”
“Ah, no… Zim’s father is-.”
“Zim has no need for two parents!” Zim interrupted. “My father is not here!” He paused briefly, then announced he was going to get punch and ran off.
“So, you’re a single mom?” Ms.Bitters asked.
“Yes!” Miyuki nodded proudly, “I have no need for help with something as simple as raising a child!” Then she turned and followed her son.
“No wonder that boy’s so messed up…,” Ms. Bitters mumbled.
“Gaz!! Look!!” Dib shook his sister. “Zim brought one of his alien leaders as his mom!!” Gaz grit her teeth and grumbled under her breath. “Dad!! There’s someone I want you to meet!” Dib ran over to the punch table where Zim and Miyuki were, followed by the hovering screen displaying his dad’s face.
“Look! Look! See? It’s the alien! And one of his leaders!” Dib exclaimed, pointing. The hovering screen flew right up in front of Miyuki.
“Please, forgive my son,” Professor Membrane said. “He’s just going through a paranormal phase and thinks everyone and everything is some kind of alien or cryptid.”
“That’s not true!!” Dib shouted, “They really are aliens!!”
“You, Scientist-man,” Miyuki said, pointing directly at Professor Membrane’s face. “Are you the one who caused that explosion I heard earlier?”
“No, no!” Professor Membrane said. “That was one of my employees!! Well, ex-employee now.”
“Good,” Miyuki said, “I would expect a civilization advanced enough to make such good punch to have scientists that at least know the difference between Chemical C and Chemical Z.”
“You can tell what caused an explosion just from the sound of it??” Professor Membrane asked, completely awestruck.
“Of course,” Miyuki said, standing proudly, “I was the best scientist, uh, where I come from.”
“Incredible!! You simply must come work for me!” The Professor exclaimed.
“No!! Dad!! She’s an alien!!” Dib screamed, jumping up and down, waving his arms to get his fathers attention. But Professor Membrane had already made up his mind and was going on about hours and wages and how nice it’d be to finally have another, true scientist around.
“My Ta-! Uh, I mean- Mom!! Take the job! It’s a really good opportunity!!” Zim shouted with heavy emphasis on ‘opportunity’.
“Daaaaaddd!!” Dib wailed, “Can’t you see they’re trying to learn about us so they can destroy us?!! You’re giving the enemy an advantage!!”
Tallest Miyuki was affronted at the idea of working for a human, but… she did like the idea of getting back into science… and her Tallest duties had become horribly mundane after handing the empire over to Red and Purple. Besides… Urth wasn’t nearly as bad as she’d been expecting. They certainly had good snacks.
“Alright,” She said finally. “I’ll do it!”
“Excellent!” Professor Membrane exclaimed.
“Noooooo!!!” Dib fell to his knees.
“Yes!! You lose this round, Dib-worm!! Now it’s only a matter of time!!” Zim cackled.
Tallest Miyuki felt a gentle tug on her blue, floor-length skirt. She looked down to see a purple-haired child beckoning to her. Intrigued, she knelt to listen to the little girl.
“You seem more competent than Zim,” Gaz said, “Are you really going to destroy the Earth?” Miyuki smiled.
“Can you keep a secret?” She asked. Gaz nodded. “We sent Zim here on a fake mission just to get him away from us.”
Gaz smirked. “Nice.”

Can I get a basic run down of each of your au’s? It’s really hard to keep track and I wanna understand what people are talking about
*cracks knuckles* Alright, let’s do this. I’ll probably just link this in my sidebar at this point, because these are getting built up pretty rapidfire and if you aren’t on tumblr as much as I am you’re pretty liable to miss something.
Now with tag links, going chronologically so you can catch up if you want to! Some of them have a lot of posts, though, just as a warning.
-Time AU: The original. Twix is accidentally sent back in time- why is still a bit fuzzy but I think it involves the Voot malfunctioning when a time machine is installed. She runs into Dib when rummaging around in the basement lab in his house for parts, and lets it slip that she’s his daughter from the future. Her skin is just not-green enough to slip past his radar, and a DNA text confirms that she is in fact related to him, but her lips are sealed about who her other parent is.
She needs to break into Zim’s base to get the necessary tools to finish fixing the Voot to go back home, and Dib assumes she wants to expose Zim like she does, so she has to keep on his good side to get what she needs. It’s weird to say the least, seeing her parents fighting and Dib as a kid- especially since Zim looks basically the same.
After she finally fixes the Voot, it starts jumping through alternate dimensions before she finally makes it home, and she meets several alternate versions of herself.
The tag needs to be cleaned up on this one- it was the first au and has scattered posts of the others still in it but it’s going to take a while to edit down to the individual ones, fair warning.
-Tallest AU: Zim is “co-Tallest” with Tak, and Dib is a rebel fighter trying to take down the empire- sort of a bounty hunter on the side too. Twix is created during a fight when Zim tries to rip Dib’s throat out with his teeth, as you do. Zim is yanked out of public view while pregnant- can’t let the Empire know one of the Tallests has a defect that allows him to reproduce naturally. When he comes back, Twix is declared an experiment of his to create an heir with alien DNA to help her be taller, stronger, and more resilient. She’s kind of a spoiled brat in this one, and has absolutely no idea who Dib is.
When she’s about 12, Dib as a bounty hunter was enlisted to kidnap her in an attempt to rile up Zim and get rid of his heir in one fell swoops, having no idea that she’s his daughter. Eventually, that’s discovered, and she slowly learns what life is like for everyone who isn’t her, while Dib learns to be a parent and care for her instead of having to just rely on himself all the time. Things are pretty tense at first, though.
Eventually, after Zim gets her back, she’s injured during a fight and Zim and Dib make a reluctant truce while she heals, eventually becoming sort of ‘rivals with benefits’- Zim won’t kill him if he’s captured, and Dib won’t take headshots. Dib also gets a collar so he can walk around the Massive without somebody sniping his head off, although he’s very grumpy about this.
Eventually, Dib manages to convince Zim that he’s nothing more than a mascot for the empire, there to blow shit up to show their power. (Tak is the real leader, Zim doesn’t really have the power he thinks he does, and Tak was brought in as co-Tallest to do most of the real ruling and give an air of competence, with the Control Brains doing the rest.) This takes ages, and involves Zim being so deep in denial he literally shoots Dib in the leg to get him to shut up, but it needles at him until he accepts it. Needless to say, pisses him off. They run off together, something Tak’s actually pretty happy about because she figures he’ll just die without the protection being a Tallest gives him. Twix comes with them, and start causing problems for the Empire wherever they can.
Dib gets a robot arm at one point, we haven’t 100% decided on how, and they end up having a second kid, a boy named Kit. (Kit Kat. Thank the discord for that one.)
-WLOD AU: Based on the alternate future in Dib’s Wonderful Life of Doom. Dib is the villain in this one- Twix was made when Zim attempted to escape captivity and bit Dib in the process. She’s kind of a nervous, timid wreck, and Zim is incredibly protective of her. She doesn’t see the world outside of the lab until main!Twix stumbles across this world and helps break her and Zim out, bringing them to her reality and asking Membrane to help her ‘cousins’. They end up settled somewhere else. (She ends up good friends with Moth!Twix.)
The running joke with this one is if the other Dibs meet this guy they just beat the crap out of him.
When Twix eventually dies of health complications from being experimented on, Zim pretty much snaps. He goes back to his home dimension and burns down everything even remotely related to Earth and Dib and ends up conquering the Empire, his grief giving him laser focus and allowing him to work past his defects. He goes on pretty much on a multi-decade rampage, twice as ruthless as anyone else and blowing up planets with ease. One day, though, while he’s with the ground troops he sees a scared child who was orphaned by his attacks and sort of snaps back to himself. He ends up adopting them, and several others in an attempt to atone for himself. He trains them up, fully expecting one of them to end up killing him when they find out he was the one that orphaned them, but when they find out about Twix they tend to just leave over killing him.
He ends up dying near her grave of illness/old age.
-Human AU: This one’s gotten revamped. The old one is after the line, to explain the old fanart in that tag. (I… never really liked this one as much as the others because it didn’t feel Zim-like to me and Dib was barely a presence- and he was barely himself too.)
Honestly this one is still a bit of a joke, but Zim’s got a more mad-scientist edge to him, primarily with strange toys, furbies in particular. He makes lots of them and their house is overrun- Twix has no idea it isn’t normal. He enjoys making people squirm with his creations and ends up having a bit of a rivalry with Swap Zim.
______
Old version: Zim and Dib were both sort of academic rivals at school, but ended up paired together for a science pair project and became friends. They’re roommates at college and begin dating, and Twix just comes from a regular old broken condom, oops. Zim was kind of a party animal but cuts back for her sake. His water actually breaks during an important exam but he insists on finishing it, despite Dib’s blood pressure going up about 500%. Zim’s a Bio major, I haven’t really settled on Dib yet. Zim ends up working at Membrane Labs, though.
Zim’s also a big fan of musical theater, and gets roped into subbing in as Billy Flynn on the campus production of Chicago while four months pregnant. Gir is his younger brother and currently in high school.
-Irken AU: This one’s set a bit earlier in the timeline, when Zim was still working at the labs for military research. (See the canceled episode The Trial.) He met Dib there, and at one point they ended up locked in for a whole weekend on accident. At one point they got into a fight, one thing led to another, and Zim ended up pregnant. He only found out when he started getting sick and went to the hospital. The problem? That’s a defect that hasn’t happened in a long time- he’s whisked to the Control Brains, labeled defective in both mind and body, and sent off to Foodcourtia so no one has to deal with him.
When Dib finds out, he steals a ship and goes to rescue him. Zim is completely miserable, exhausted, overworked, and all around pissed this is happening. He lashes out at Dib for doing this to him before completely collapsing since his body hasn’t gotten a chance to rest in too long, and his instincts tell him that Dib is safe because he’s the other parent. Gir is a malfunctioning food service drone that snuck aboard the ship. They have to figure out what’s going on because this kind of thing hasn’t happened in centuries.
Dib was initially only interested in studying Zim because of the rarity of natural-born smeets, but as time goes on they end up getting closer, especially because Zim gets clingy as time goes on. There are two endings to this one- either they keep wandering around space, or they end up on Earth since it’s uncharted and no one will bug them there. Twix comes from an egg and has three siblings (possibly more) in this one!
-Pilot AU: Related to the Time AU- while jumping around, she gets stuck in the pilot universe. She very much doesn’t like it, especially since Dib starts stalking her instead. When he finds out she’s his daughter, he gets even more obsessive about how and why she came back, and she has to escape him to keep going home.
-Adoption AU: This is the angstfest one kicked off by a particular anon- Zim has a miscarriage, but at some point afterwards when Twix is jumping through the multiverse, she runs into them. After realizing what happened, she finds a version of herself that lost both of her parents and brings her to meet the ones that never had her, and they’re all happy.
-Zimvoid AU: Twix lands in the Zimvoid from the few most recent comics. Not a lot of plot to this one, it’s just fun to imagine. The Zims meeting after Twix is born is under PZA Au, and the Dibs meeting is ‘Meet me in the dibpit’ which is the best tag out of all of these lmao
-Species Swap AU: Dib is, similar to in the irken au, there to study local flora and find uses for them. Gaz is the invader, sent here for her catastrophic body count on every other mission she’s had. She finds out Earth has good games and is just ‘eh, whatever’ and basically puts the mission on hold, letting Dib start stalking the one human that truly interests him- Zim. He’s almost irken-like, and clearly incredibly intelligent- and destructive!
I made a whole plot explanation for this one here.
Dib is actually the one to have her in this au. It’s also a running joke and I’m heavily considering making it canon that this Zim is the one that actually succeeds in taking over the world.
-Mothman AU: Dib is an actual mothman, and so is his family. Variation on this one: One has irken Zim, one has human Zim. Other Dibs find this version of Dib hot. Twix is raised in the woods and her only real friends are her parents, Gir, and Tulip. (Keef’s adopted daughter.)
In the irken au, Zim is actually accepted relatively fast by Membrane who thinks he’s just a strange, stunted moth. After having Twix he ends up growing wings and neck fluff because mothmen are actually a very distant cousin of irkens that diverged millions of years ago, and carrying Dib’s kid kickstarted the process. He also dies for like two minutes because giving birth to an egg a third of your size really sucks. (He’s fine, once Dib got him to the recharging chamber he woke back up when his Pak reactivated him, he was just really low on charge after a birth lasting like two days.)
In the human au, he’s not so lucky- Dib has to keep his relationship a secret, and Membrane only finds out when he sees Zim, already pregnant. Dib gets into a big fight with him because humans killed his mom and Membrane is pissed he’d get into a relationship with one. Things do end up working out eventually, once Twix is born Membrane is fascinated by her, but tensions are still pretty high for a while. Earlier in this version, Zim actually found out he was pregnant when he gets accidentally shot by someone who was aiming at Dib and had to go to the hospital and they took a pregnancy test before doing the x-ray. (In all aus where Zim is human, including swap, he’s a trans guy, and this one is set in the 1970′s/80′s. He ran away to live in the woods for a reason.)
-SU AU: Steven Universe AU! This one’s covering most of the plot of Steven Universe up to this point, so it got long. Link here. (For the aesthetic, think more Gravity Falls and late over early SU: Deep woods and dark colors.)
-Capture AU: A sort of flip of the WLOD au. Zim wins and keeps Dib prisoner, although he enjoys riling him up so Dib is much more of a firecracker than WLOD Zim is. Zim gets the itching feeling he’s missing something and uses a blood sample from Dib to get himself pregnant, but he realizes he can’t raise the kid alone without killing her (and plays it off as making Dib help with something he’s made it clear he hates) so he lets Dib out but on a very tight leash. This one is definitely on the darker end.
-Scandal AU: Zim is Tallest, Dib is an irken scientist. They ‘grew up’ together but Zim shot up and forgot about Dib because- well, his memory’s canonically pretty garbage and besides he often misremembers things anyway. Dib is hauled in front of him for causing problems at the labs like letting the specimens free because he hates his coworkers, and they just kept shoving him at successively more important people because he managed to keep slipping away before being fully punished and it ends up getting all the way to the Tallest.
Dib gets pissy at Zim because he’s expecting to get thrown out the airlock or whatever, before realizing just how terrible of an idea that is and that Zim could do something a lot worse. Mostly he’s just mad that Zim left him behind, but Zim, who only has faint inklings of Dib being familiar, decides to keep him around on basically a whim.
Things evolve from there, with Zim doting over his new ‘toy’ who treats him like an equal (which he didn’t realize he wanted, because duh, he’s the Tallest, why would he want to be anything other than shallowly worshipped?) while Dib has to walk the VERY careful tightrope of staying alive by not pissing Zim off while also not rolling over completely and betraying himself. (And that might lose Zim’s interest as well.) Things get even messier when oops, there’s eggs now.
-Treasure Planet AU: What it says on the tin, an au based off the movie Treasure Planet! Plot summary here, AU mostly belongs to @64bit-trash and @yeehawimscared.
-Dibbrane AU: Dib turns out to be a much better clone of his father and doesn’t realize that Zim is an alien. Zim ends up getting attatched to him because he takes him seriously as a fellow scientist and genuinely enjoys his company, and eventually they get married- all without Dib finding out what he really is. Twix ends up more like show-Dib, determined to prove to the world that there’s a world hidden underneath their own, and Zim ends up her ‘alien rival’ in order to train her. She doesn’t realize she’s half-alien… yet. Fuller synopsis here.
-Amnesia AU: Zim was a personal pet project of Tallest Miyuki’s, and treated him as a son, planning to raise him to succeed her, taking down the heightarchy in the process. She ends up assassinated by Red and Purple in an attempt to get enough power to laze around for the rest of their lives, and Zim is blamed for it. A lot of irkens are bitter and jealous for the attention he got, especially for someone so short, so it’s easy enough to do.
While imprisoned, he tore up his Pak in an attempt to get rid of the grief and trauma of seeing his mother dead and ended up more defective, having mostly forgotten who he was before. The timeline ‘syncs up’ with iz show canon. He crashes OID2 and gets sent to Earth, and over the years enters a relationship with Dib and gets pregnant. When that’s discovered, he gets pulled back and his memory is wiped again, and when the baby is born, she’s taken away to see if they can shape her into a soldier.
Zim is used for more tests and Skoodge tries to help him, and ‘Brid’ is shuffled between career tracts before being sent out with the soldiers while still 11- practically a smeet. She meets Dib, who’s been looking for both Zim and his lost child. She promises to take him to Zim, but is going to try and bring him as a new species of alien to her superiors to get brownie points because she’s treated kind of like shit by the other trainees for being such a freak. (She always wears a helmet to cover her nose and hair.)
Eventually their paths cross as they get arrested and thrown into a cell near Zim’s, but Zim doesn’t realize he’s even got a daughter, much less this one, so there’s a while to figure things out.
All this time, Miyuki uploaded herself before her death into a side control brain that only Skoodge knows, and they stumble across her, and she helps fill in the gaps.
Aaaaaand I’ll go back and add more to this post if we get more, if I forgot one feel free to tell me.

Info post on Professor Mitochondria
Origin: Alternate Reality- Another version of Professor Membrane
Race/Species: Human (as far as anyone knows)
Appearance: Long white lab coat, long black gloves, black platform boots, smart goggles, frizzy hair that can never be fully pulled back (makes science “interesting”) with some of the strands forming “M”s and one long somehow neat M shaped zag in the midst of the frizz.
Known Aliases: Aunt Mitochondria (to other versions of her kids in alternate realities)
Powers: Forcefield manipulation, Teleportation, Time Travel, Reality jumping, Forcefield enhanced strength. Intelligence gathering
Considered the “Professor Membrane of an alternate reality”, Professor Mitochondria is considered just as smart- and at times possibly wiser- than her original counterpart. She tends to be more attentive than him in some respects, often making time to see her son and daughter during the week.
Her forcefields are generally meant to prevent injuries from explosions. She can turn it off by pressing the switch on her arm. Technically, it should only be used to repel debris from explosions and fire, however, there have been times she’s used it to reinforce her gloves and double her strength. She’s also been known to project her forcefields into bubbles, the item/creature still being very animate, and levitate them or toss them into things, making them rather effective weapons and shields. Her forcefields are powered by the small device attached to the left sleeve of her lab coat which doubles as a computer and reality nav- the information she needs generally showing up on her goggles.
Her ability to teleport came before her reality hopping ability. It saves on commute time, she found. Her ability to reality jump was first thought of by her son, who had gone through a horrible ordeal getting stuck in an alternate reality himself. He proposed that maybe there were realities where world peace had been achieved and that he was successful in defeating Zim. She considered the idea and set to work trying to make a safe way to jump realities herself to explore the concept, eventually using the properties of her teleporter to improve on the traverse between worlds as well as stabilize her form. Despite this achievement of being able to exist in alternate worlds without any harm to herself, the Florpus caused so much interference, her reality nav and teleportation systems refused to work for a few days. She thought it for the best since that could cause the rift in space time to become even more problematic. A lesser used ability is that she can also teleport through time. However, she has only used this to confuse people she truly despises while maintaining the timeline. After all anyone who would intentionally alter the alter the past to change the future would be a complete moron.
She has visited three realities, one of which she persists in antagonizing Professor Membrane by encouraging her adopted nephew to chase aliens. She considers most alternate versions of her kids her niece and nephew to keep hers separate from the others. There was another where her counterpart married- a fact she was heavily confused by as her and the other Membrane seem disinterested in romance/married to their profession. The other considers a fantasy realm as magic is a staple component and used in tandem with science. She hardly visits there. She prefers sticking to realities that obey the rules of physics and form closer to her own. This oddly limits her travels as there are only so many realities she can jump to with that setting without some things getting redundant due to very minor changes.
Her Intelligence Gathering Systems (IGS) activate immediately entering a new reality but only at surface value and what she’s already noted in her home or previous realities. She only explores realities out of curiosity and often finds concepts or ideas she hadn’t thought to try or even experiment with in her own. This tends to result in an improved version of the original concept in her own or even an inspired invention based on a creature from her travels. The lag of how much information she gathers is based off importance and the amount of differences in the world. (And also, maintenance of the IGS.) If it’s something to do with her family, the system tends to be more thorough. If it’s something to do with the taco place down the street, the system won’t really pick up that the ingredients on their best-selling item is different, but it will notice a change in the layout or theme.
 Her Kids:
Dib is still considered her son and Gaz is still is still considered her daughter. They are clones, originally supposed to be better scientists to aid her work, but she failed to account for something in the process and ended up with them instead. Dib was the first try and Gaz was the second attempt. It’s often guessed that the reason she doesn’t have a medical license is that she was caught creating them and for whatever reason they let her keep her children. Despite their origins, she loves them very much and considers them her greatest work.
She makes sure they are well taken care of while she’s away discovering new realities. The staff at her lab are tasked with checking in on them every now and then personally. She keeps the fridge well stocked with food they can easily make. She encourages them to speak up if there’s anything they don’t trust about her employee’s actions or they do anything untoward while she’s away. If so, she’ll “take care of the problem.” That staff member is never seen again and no questions are asked.
 -  Dib
She’s known to take her universe’s version of Dib seriously when it comes to aliens mostly because of the idea of microbes on earth evolving into complex creatures in impossible conditions and expanding on the idea of similar situations occurring somewhere else in the universe. Her help in discovering bacteria on Mars in her reality helped enforce this belief. However it’s still widely unexcepted in the scientific community of her reality that intelligent and complex life forms exist outside of this.
She uses Dib’s research on Zim and other findings as a basis for her own experiments- sometimes just to help him get through with his mission to stop Zim. While people still think Dib crazy so he still has a hard time befriending people. Despite this, she continues to believe in him. She’s seen the evidence- the space ship, the pictures, and Zim’s weird other-worldly house. She keeps the fact that some of her revolutionary feats of SCIENCE are based on Dib’s ideas a secret, covering up his sources, so that she doesn’t get discredited. This often causes some tension between her and her son and makes it more difficult to help make the world ready. "The world just isn't ready for it" she often says (in place of “trying real science”) and it frustrates Dib to no end. Despite all of this, a lot of her experiments are still geared towards peace on Earth and she knows without her son’s obsession with saving the world they wouldn’t exist. She views Zim as a threat to that and will stop at nothing to help her son prevent his reign of terror.
For once, Dib wants to have another person openly believe in the paranormal like he does (If not more so than the original) rather than be quietly supporting him like his mother does. He's made so many great strides thanks to her support and even was the one who proposed the idea of hopping realities. Science is about answering and discovering the previously unresolved questions, after all. Since he helps her with experiments and ideas, spending a lot of time in her laboratory as a result, Dib is often seen wearing a smaller, unbuttoned version of her lab coat.
 -   Gaz
Mitochondria tries to encourage Gaz to go into something involving video games, like video game testing. She even makes new ones for her daughter to test out that are really just complex simulations for experiments with a different coat of paint. Gaz knows this but plays anyway. The “games” are fun and she doesn’t want to ruin the illusion for her mother. Knowing how good the professor is with building things, Gaz goes to her if her game system breaks for a new one or to repair the old one with some newly added features- something the tween looks forward to each time despite losing her game data. She even helps out in the lab with experiments using video game controls- especially the ones involving Nano-technology and robots.
Gaz is a little less quiet. She's still prone to her grudges and torture towards Dib, but that's just standard sibling stuff. She still barely talks when no one is talking to her. Thanks to her mother playing video games with her, she's become more open about sharing her enthusiasm of her favorite games with others. Often, the modified versions of the original game system catch her classmates’ attention. When asked she’ll just shrug and say that her mother improved on it for her. It used to catch her off guard when people would admit that their parents couldn’t do that- she thought everyone’s parents could- but now she understands that her mother is the exception.
She even has rules for her kids to follow:
If Dib goes out to investigate ANYTHING he must be home by 8:00 pm.
If Gaz gets mad at Dib for things he’s interested in and begins to torture him call the professor at work. She’s always available.
Never tamper with Mitochondria’s equipment unsupervised or without permission for ANYTHING! It’s DANGEROUS!
Never talk with your mouth full. You’ll choke that way.
If the guards don’t let you in, find the nearest payphone or call on a cell phone} and request that Professor Mitochondria speak with them right away using a specific phrase for verification.
Do one thing involving science every day!
Important rule: No insane paranormal experiments LIKE RAISING THE DEAD At home or at any place where people could be in danger.
Most important rule: Live a fulfilling, fun, and exciting life! Even if isn’t filled with Science!
She has these hanging on the fridge.
[Compiled from varying sources I’ve made or private roleplaying I’ve done.]
