I can't appreciate Snowflake and Snowfox enough. Because their first time meeting was the only time I've seen Tui portray like. Sexual tension. For good reason, considering most other protagonists in the series are children, or at most, just turned adults.

Like. The more they talked with each other and discussed their mutual goals, the more I was like "These two are 100% FUCKING and they haven't even met yet."

I'll be honest, the WOF fandom should embrace Snowfox and Snowflake as semi-villanous lesbians that are hopelessly devoted to eachother and would kiss while watching their enemies burn. They're scheming, a bit selfish and would wage war on an entire tribe for this one thing one of them did that wasn't even her fault but they're so in love about it. Medeval european royal court-eque love story. Stop being pussies and appreciate some awesome antagonists, don't try to make them good or cry about how it's bad representation to have sappic villans in a story that literally has plenty of good guys who are queer too. Can't you guys have some fun

honestly as someone who had a rl father that is a lot like arctic, i dont think he deserved the death he got. its satisfying to read at the surface but after reading runaways i understand why he was like that. doesnt excuse it obvs, but it made me see him as like a beatrice horseman of wof, and thats why i started sympathizing with him; giving up everything for foeslayer and accidentally killing his own people because of oversight miswording of a spell, i started rereading darkstalker and the few moments he has like when he murmurs to himself clearsight’s prophecy trying to decipher it or seeming like he was spacing out reminded me of my own dad who was in a heavy depression after my mom cheated on him. he was abusive because of that and i would love to see him taste his own medicine one day, but at the same time he did love my mom a lot and i would see him space out or give telltale signs of depression that reminds me of arctic. so yeah arctic weirdly reminds me of my own dad, and i have a love hate relationship with it and as much as i hate it, at the same time i can sympathize with it.

Drawing Random WoF Characters - Discretion

(super minor) spoilers for Legends: Darkstalker/Runaways ahead!

Discretion was a nightwing of unspecified gender introduced in Runaways. They were one of four dragons sent on a diplomatic mission to the ice kingdom. The other dragons were Foeslayer, Starclaws, and Prudence. Discretion was described as having black scales (so inspiring!! /s) and being somewhat slow, not understanding why the diplomats had to leave the ice kingdom so urgently.

This drawing is from this month! (april 2024) it was SUCH A PAIN GOOD LORD i could not figure out his pose and expression for life of me, or his colors. i could have done grayscale and called it a day but that's boring but then none of the palettes i tried looked right and my god there was so much trial and error for every part of this drawing. not to mention my pencil has died which sucks huge ass. luckily i have a kind friend who is letting me borrow their stylus. As usual, a process video is up on my tiktok :)

we honestly need more lore on jermbo, why does retro kill them when they enter, what does their presence mean? what are they even capable of? are they the one pulling the strings to this elevator's mysteries?

can go for glevil too, is mark technically apart of the cult and if he was, is he still capable of feeling/hearing the thoughts of the other mannequins, are all mannequins within this hivemind? Can the other mannequins hear his thoughts or feel the need to come back to his kin? if mark did branch off from the cult and left, would it be like runaway? [ WoF ref ] how did he even meet with wallter? Does glevil still go after mark after this amount of time? does the hivemind ability let them control the strings for the other mannequins at times?

on the other hand, what was wallters actual past before meeting mark? who made him? did gnarpians make him? did another race make him? did gnarpy create him? what was his sole purpose? why is he considered useless now? what introduced him to drink gray stuff?

Frozen Desert: A WoF Fanfiction

I have been on such a roll on posting recently, my creative output is just through the roof right now. This means that I have finally worked up the motivation to finish the first chapter of a story that's been plaguing me for way too long. So, go check it out, on either Wattpad or Ao3, because I didn't know which would be better to post on so I just did both :)

Description:

Generations after Darkstalker was sealed and the Icewings lost their animus power, a child born to a pair of runaways hatches. Tundra is an animus of royal descent, long separated from the Ice Kingdom. Despite this, in his small mountain community, he seen as a savior. But he doesn't want to be. He knows he doesn't have the skills, and would much rather spend his time simply enjoying life with his best friend. However, he doesn't get that choice. All things possible seem to go wrong with him in his home, and he finds himself practically powerless to stop it. But he would do anything for those he cares about, even at the cost of his own soul.

Who's your favorite character from each arc?

Aaaah i love it when i find people in multiple of the same fandoms as me :D Tysm for the ask.

Fav character from each arc, Clay from The Dragonet Prophecy because he's an absolute cinnamon roll and has an amazing personality, but honestly i love all of the Dragonets of Destiny, and most of the other characters in the arc as a whole. Tentatively Winter from The Jade Mountain Prophecy, semi-tied w/ Kinkajou/Turtle/Peril? I'm not the biggest fan of this arc ((in particular DoD)), but i love all the listed characters. I say tentatively, as though i've just read up on Winter on the wiki and remembered why i liked him so much, i haven't read the books in ages & i remember loving all these characters in addition. For the Lost Continent Prophecy ((i think that's what it's called?)), Sundew. I think i sorta liked Cricket as well, but i remember enjoyed her book and her as a character. Ooh, and Lynx! I totally forgot about Lynx, i loved her. One of those lassies.

My favourite arc is undoubtably The Dragonet Prophecy. It's just good, idk what to say about it. The characters have amazing chemistry, and there's not a lot to debate ship-wise in this series. The ships don't stand out as strongly as they seem to in the other two arcs, but maybe i didn't get as engaged in the fandom until reading the later arcs. The Lost Continent Prophecy is second, and The Jade Mountain Prophecy dead last.

I stopped reading the graphic novels after a few of them, but i have read many of the books multiple times. I might have to say Darkstalker as a general favourite because it was probably the book that had me closest to crying over a WoF book. Idk what it did but something about that book had me so much more connected to the characters than other books did. I think The Hidden Kingdom is my favourite first arc book, Talons of Power is for sure my second arc favourite ((i read full through in abt a day without putting it down)), and The Poison Jungle is likely my favourite third arc book. Prisoners is my favourite Winglet, because i think the layout with the letters is such a creative move, but Runaway is quite good because of Foxflake.

Like i probably said so many times, i don't remember a ton so take this with a grain of salt ^^;

Not me planning to revamp a few of my old wof ocs because I really liked drawing that one dragon 👀

Anyways, here's their old designs:

Hades: Nightwing/Icewing, Persephone: Mudwing, Apollo: Skywing, Artemis: Skywing, Dyo: Sandwing, Melpomene: Rainwing.

Not sure any of these guys actually had Lore, but on a quick whim:

Hades was probably an animus, and escaped his kingdom. Persephone probably took him in, and they decided to live in a secluded area, Hades enchanting it oddly to keep people from entering/exiting if they ate anything in the sanctuary space.

Apollo and Artemis were twins, but Artemis was born w/o fire, making her the weaker of the twins. She hid away, while Apollo became more and more well-known, until eventually they left and escaped the kingdom to hide elsewhere.

Dyo is a sandwing criminal, constantly moving from location to location. He covers himself in mud because he hates how bright his scales are.

Melpomene was a rainwing who got caught in the Skywing arenas. Because her colors were rarely vibrant, she was constantly terrorized, and someone even bit part of her tail off, which leaves her flight abilities stunted.

Eventually these six would meet up and start their own little hide-away in Hades' domain where they take in cripples, criminals, and runaways just for the sake of protecting them. (Melpo decided to stay permanently, and Dyo guides people to tye hideout.)
