I think the men dni post is….. bad
I am a gay man. There is no reason for a woman to interact with the explicit content that I right by a man and for men, and it often plays into fetishization of gay men and also makes me, a man who has been forced to like women in the past, feel like a boundary has been crossed. Ultimately, it’s my internet experience and I get to control my content and interactions. If you feel like “men dni” or “woman dni” applies? Don’t interact. Simple as that
There is a reason. That woman could be a gay man who wants to interact with content for gay men without being alienated from their own community because of exorsexism and told they are "invaders" and "predators" and "fetishizers" just because they are both a gay man and a woman (or a lesbian and a man). Gatekeeping multigender people from gay/lesbian spaces is no better than gatekeeping trans people & its often justified with the same transphobic arguments.

Are trans women real women?
As opposed to what. Fictional? A mannequin? Unreal in the sense that it's unreal how bomb she is?

thinking about how mishandled the herb brides are because like. The Text tells us they're not sexual beings (P1 mentions them being virgins, engaged to the Earth, and not to be touched even by their husbands, almost, for a lack of a better word and to conjure an image more than anything, priestess-types) and that their dances are nonsexual and sacred (all all true and correct) WHILE. giving them detailed / 3D modeled nipples. topless. clothes very conveniently torn [in ways that would be unrealistic for actual dancing like in the fucking moshpit]. all pretty thin hairless white-passing blemishless 20-something women. being already sexualized as white-passing asian women, but if they looked more like other NPC models/members of the Kin like the Kayura models (which to me would make more sense because they are never mentioned to be mixed in the way Artemy, an indigenous man who's blonde blue eyes due to being mixed, is [while still very much being indigenous and it being a central part of his story]), it would be even more obvious and would steer even more into Very Blatant fetishization of asian women. and then one asks, are they white-passing because they're sexualized? are they sexualized because they're white-passing? was it an admission of guilt to not make them look like Kayura model, because it would be too obvious then? or is it an admission of lust for women more white-passing? is it about beauty in the eye of the beholder?
then there's bewildering and dehumanizing lore of members of the Kin being non-humans, through the existence of the Worms (literally half-soil), them being a (more or less literal) hivemind, and that being "less human"/closer to the earth (nice_dichotomy_what_lies_outside_of_it png but also... the game touches on that...) immunizes them to the Earth's disease... and yet the Brides look like women... pretty thin hairless white-passing blemishless 20-something women who someone found wise to give 3d modeled nipples to, still good for the ritual cutting... do you hear how i'm going mad yet...
edit to add because while i was so mad and it WAS in my mind i just didn't have the strength to add it when i first wrote:
and they're bought and traded between the odonghs they pair with (again, closer to cattle or things) ... ladies there's so much. there's too much.
#werewolf tearing shirt off again#ah well. [lets myself drift away in the images i've made of the brides and my constant quest to humanize them and respect them and#make them diverse and full of life. which i might never manage to and yet i try.]#also i was thinking like. their celibacy + virginity + central spiritual place in the kin do be reminding me a lot of priestesses#[really sorry for boxing them in like that but if there is stuff of the same thing just with another name imagine i used it here#i just don't know any other]#and priestesshood famously was an option for women to avoid marriage; and often domestic/sexual servitude to their husbands#same for nuns who are also said to be like. ''engaged to christ'' in their own way (again only making tangentially similar patterns;#not calling the Brides nuns of course)#so having them be Said to be nonsexual [until they're said to be etc] while being Shown as sexualized it's like. oooh the misery#neigh (blabbers)#disclaimer i'm white & i'm sure Many indigenous women regardless of origins have touched on this in more direct and deeper ways i ever coul#oh there's also the fact that the kin is said in design document to mirror in ways 19th century native americans#and the herb brides going to sexualize themselves in the B.H. ''for outsiders'' (p1 dialogues)#mirrors native american women being pushed in brothels from the crushing roller of colonization stripping them of land#pushing them into poverty and homelessness#in ways that i um. raised eyebrow emoji to say the least. find deeply uncomfortable.

Blows my mind that Klaasje or Dolores aren't on (more) promotional art, you'd think they would put at least one female character there but no. Best we can get is Judit. That's like if they put Plaisance there

People really think when you talk about lesbians being men or having relationships with men means you want them personally to go sleep with every man and not that you want every lesbian to have their own autonomy to decide what lesbianism means to them personally.
Like literally, the people who make large ass call out posts or posts that whine that there are people who are mspec lesbians or lesbian men or just that some lesbians have sex with men always make it so personal no matter if they are a lesbian or not. They seem to not be able to remove themselves from someone else's lesbianism and autonomy.
No one (seriously, no one besides actual lesbophobes) are claiming that you, a lesbian, has to have any relation to men. You do not have to date or have sex with lesbian men (or mspec lesbians), and guess what! We don't want to do those things with you either. No one is saying that because a small percentage of lesbians might have sex with men and/or be attracted to men, you as a lesbian have to. I don't know why you decided that you have to live in a world with communal absolutes. Not all lesbians are you, and you are not all lesbians (like really do you like the same women as every other lesbian? No, because you aren't other lesbians). Let lesbians have autonomy. Let lesbians live. Let queer people be!
Tldr: you don't have to do what other lesbians do. Just because a lesbian has any kind of relationship with men doesn't mean you have to. Other lesbians existing do not negate your lesbianism.

What’s your thought (or headcanons if you have any) on Sam and Kirby being girlfriends? I totally respect your view and opinion on it if you don’t have any thoughts or if it’s not your cup of tea.
So I'm only really interested in Sam & Tara as characters, but I do hope we see her again in 7, because I really liked the interactions we got in 6, and I'm a big lover of Big Sister Kirby for the girls, but putting her in a relationship with Sam would also be a cool dynamic, and we would still get Kirby being the second best big sister to Tara.
Kirby's could be Sidney's Kincaid for Sam.
She becomes close to the girls after 6. They have trouble finding somewhere else to live, but they can't afford the rent between just the two of them, so... Kirby makes a suggestion. Or well, she just... kinda moves in and starts paying rent.
Kirby's there as a sympathetic ear and to offer advice when Danny starts pushing for more out of their relationship. He wants to talk about the future but Sam doesn't have a future planned beyond tomorrow, the only thing she knows for sure about what she wants for the future is her sister being there. Kirby gets it, she tried to have a normal relationship, to be a normal person. It didn't work out.
Kirby is instrumental in helping Tara deal with her trauma, she's been there, the injuries... the betrayal. They bond in a way that Sam thinks she should feel threatened by, but she can't. Because Tara smiles so much now, and she's so much happier, and she's always talking about the places Kirby takes her and the things they do together. And whenever Sam catches them going out or watching a movie, they always try to drag her in to join them. There's something that feels so special about sitting on the couch, her leg against Kirby's, with Tara sprawled out across them. It feels a lot like family.
Kirby's a little flirty, but Kirby's always been a little flirty, and she talks the same way to a lot of people, so Sam doesn't think anything more of it.
Ghostface comes back to haunt them. Danny makes the wrong choice. Kirby makes the right one. Sam begins to realise there's something there. Kirby gets hurt protecting her sister, and Sam realises she might actually love her.
Neither of them want marriage, neither of them are interested in kids. They just want to focus on the today.
Kirby takes both the girls shooting, but Sam refuses to have another gun in the house. She's adamant that Kirby keeps hers locked in a safe and that only she knows the code. Kirby doesn't pry, although she has her suspicions, she respects Sam's demands.
They're the type of girlfriends who roast people together.
Gale, Kirby, and the girls become a sort of family unit. Gale and Kirby are sniping at each other over dinner one day when Tara goes "that's no way to speak to your mother-in-law" and dinner descends into chaos. They hadn't even told anyone they were dating yet, it was so new, and Sam had been agonising over how to tell Tara, terrified that it would ruin everything. And that doesn't even touch on the mother in law comment.

In my fancast, Florence Pew pew pew plays Daphne Greengrass in Lionheart. There is something incredibly punk and tough in her acting, yet she never sacrifices vulnerability in her acting. She would have a field day with this character ! I would have a field day watching her
Oh, man, that would be such a fun fancast. I can totally see Daphne and Pansy with her post-splinch fuckass bob in that scene from Little Women where Amy, addressing the gorgeous Saoirse Ronan, is like [gasps] "Your one beauty!!"
