In the never ending changing description for Descendants 5, now we have: "During the Auradon Kingdom Cup Games, a gang of villains seeks to dominate by taking control of Wonderland’s power source. Red and Chloe must join forces with the other teams to stop them, or the world will face brutal consequences." Now its a gang of villains instead of one??? Whose willing to bet it'll be the rumored Uyrna and Hazel and her team? Because so far Disney isn't original with their villains in Descendants films lately, let alone they can't resist villainizing more POC... And now Red and Chloe have to team up with other teams??? Girl Descendants 3 couldn't handle more then one main character, let alone the amount of characters said to be in Descendants 5, this is gonna be a fucking mess.

I can think of a lot of reasons why I like and have gotten attached to tsukasa more than any other fictional character and i think if i had to keep it simple (or else id be rambling for hours) id say

1. He’s so interesting. I usually pick up the extremely mischaracterized blonde characters anyways but he gets my brain working real hard. its almost 2am and i cant think straight but theres something about his duality that keeps me glued to him and the amount of Layers he has and how removing even one layer or completely ignoring how both his huge ego and kindness + selflessness coexist can really mess up your perception of him. There was something quite short i wrote about how both sides make him. Well. Him. back when his colofes dropped since i was so annoyed at the people Not getting it (while most never even read the STORIES 😁) anf ive been screaming this for a year now Please. Also the way his dream and being a good big brother go hand in hand have captured me. I really like fictional siblings and they fill something personal i miss and Looove looking at the roots of characters. Discovering where this and that and connecting events to what started their behaviors or helped their personality bloom. So seeing saki and toya play such an important role in his life keeps me HOOOKEDDD. I took the bait like tiny fish. Dont regret it. Never will. I like my fictional characters like layered cake. Thats basically how i see them. I had a yummy chocolate cake with so mant layers the other day 🤤 but anyways. I also really like when characters have to learn and grow as people after making really bad mistakes or being straight up assholes so it really took a while even after mainstory but once i got to see more of him with saki and read dazzling i was like. This is the guyyy. Youre mine now lets go. I dont like perfect characters but.. you see.. when characters who have (sometimes way too much) confidence and are dramatic yet are shown to truly be good people who enjoy making others happy… alright.. now im listening… Sign me up…

But really he has almost everything I’ve ever looked for in a character. Starting with the fact that he’s a theatre kid. And blonde. Of course emu nene and rui + more fictional characters have made their way into my heart and ive gotten attached to them on very Very personal levels but when it comes to this Idiot who wants to be a star and reminds me of a dog its something that i dont even know how to explain sometimes. Why is he here? What are you doing inside of my head. Ill never have one solid answer because he takes up too much space in my mind and i become incoherent too often when talking about him.

I would have said too that maybe the Family - trying to seek out the traitor and the killer of the first Oak Family Head - framed the Watchmaker and possibly turned him into a memory zone meme as well, but the Family is trying to search for the Watchmaker so that's less likely the case. But I just love seeing how fucked up actually the Family can be AND getting more information about the Dreammaster since there really isn't much of anything

And, as a little bonus, maybe what their "Untitled"/theme song is, because I feel like that's a very key part of a unit's identity that tends to be overlooked.

GASP HELLO I LOVE TALKING ABOUT MY UNIT SHUFFLE AU im so sorry this too forever to get u back on!! schoolwork is a pain and then i went SHOPPING (which takes forever :sob:)

okok so i haven't really thought about all the details of how they get together? so bear with me this is a rough draft lol

SSS: the idea at the core of this group is that its a family with different strengths coming together to make music. so tsukasa is the scriptwriter, saki is the lyricist, toya is the choreographer, and kanade is the composer! the group is headed by tsukasa, who's actually been putting on these shows for all of them since he was a kid. as he got older, he started taking stardom more seriously (leading into canon), but an incident in middle school ended up with the tenmas legally adopting toya, so that definitely shook things up for tsukasa (in a good way!). so i think that (+ l/n not reforming, which does happen in the SSS main story) allowed tsukasa and saki to consider banding their strengths together, since tsukasa loved putting on shows and saki loved seeing them, but she would also help put them on for toya (and later kanade, when she joins them not long after toya does). the two of them very quickly realize that they need more hands, and although recruiting kanade as composer is easy (bc 25ji never forms- dont ask why im still figuring that out lol) toya is a lot harder bc he's still active under BAD DOGS with akito. however, with akito picking up AWR around the same time (+ hatsune freaking miku appearing to toya), toya does join under their choreographer as for their untitled, their song is Wonderland and the Sheep's Song by Hachi, but I worked out their line distributions to this lovely KYO cover! you can see my color-coded lyrics for them here if you're interested :)

R/l: im gonna be 100% honest with you SSS and AWR are the only ones with any semblance of a plot rn LOL but here's the base idea around R/l: mizuki and rui both congregate on the kami school rooftop bc, yknow, loners (mizuki is never reached out to by kanamafu, so not 25ji on their part. tsukasa doesnt end up applying for phoenix so wxs doesn't have a chance of forming). at some point, i imagine they got talking about music, but never did anything concrete. but not long into the main story (probably the very start) an also joins them, her dream of surpassing rad weekend getting weaker as she struggles to find a partner (koha will be explained later) so she goes to hang with her friend on the rooftop. at some point, mizu and an both accidentally enter sekai, where they meet miku and len. those two tell them that there's still two others they need to find because they also made the sekai. mizu and an get.... maybe a little too excited over this. an takes this chance to invite her friend haruka over to kami (so she transfers) and join the group, but in their search for their fourth member they end up accidentally alienating rui (ironic). they fix that tho-- although HOW i dont know lol their untitled was one i went back and forth on (tbh only SSS and AWR i didnt lol), but i eventually decided on Untitled Hymn by shaito! their color-coded lyrics are here (i just realized you can barely tell where an is in lines but ehhh)

ATD: okay so. ATD is the group thats given the most gosh-darn trouble. ive revised their cast motivations like, TWICE now. but basically it goes like this: shizuku and mafuyu are both members of the archery club, with mafuyu trusting shizuku so much that her public mask slips a couple of times (against her will). shizuku's not dumb, but she doesn't say anything bc i think she understands that mafu has her secrets. after shizuku quits being an idol (on more of her own terms), she still wants to find a way to share the light she had before that seemed to reach mafu a few times. enter: accidental sekai trip! this trip both gives shizu the idea for an online group (which could sorta count as MMJ but i think the big distinction is they do more streamer/vtuber stuff and less purely idol stuff?? im still working on that) and lets her see mafu with her mask fully off. eventually, shizu drags nene into the business (nene never attends kami here, workin on that) bc shizu and mafu have no idea how streaming works and nene does, but nene likes hiding behind the camera but is still a part of the group bc who can say no to shizu? and hona joins at shizu's request bc they're both beautification members (and apparently hona+mafu are both honors students so i wonder if they have some overlap?? can you tell ive never attended public school lol) their untitled gave me SO MUCH TROUBLE. because ATD is supposed to be a weird mix of 25ji and mmj? but all of their songs get swiped by either R/l, AWR, or even SSS, so it was hard to find something that i thought could be specifically them. eventually, i finally decided on Common World Domination by PinocchioP! Their color-coded lyrics can be found here :)

MxC: oh boy this one's a doozy. so the idea here is like... there are underground music rings? which sounds wild but like if music is vaguely the lifeblood of this world i DONT CARE it can happen! i don't wanna make it life-threatening tho so its more like... you get blacklisted from everything. which for shiho--who got sucked into this world in an attempt to find bandmates--is VERY BAD. but shiho's given a little bit to find a band before their first performance, but with l/n definitely gone their separate ways (and she never wanted to involve them in the first place) she's kinda stuck. enter: airi and ena! both of them had been watching the music battles, unsatisfied with their current lives (airi having just quit idol/tv work, ena just frustrated over her art), but airi knows shiho thru miya, and when she heard about shiho's impending doom, she resolved herself to very quickly learn guitar and join her group, roping ena (who has a little bit of drum experience from akito and mom) into it as well. meanwhile, while all of this is going on, kohane (being the sweet soul she is) has been trailing shiho out of concern, but then is entirely horrified at the underground battles bc shes still pre-canon meek. but she really wants to help shiho, so she agrees to try and learn keyboard. after clearing the first battle, shiho and her group are safe--for now. they'll have to clear a lot more battles if they want to escape the underground their untitled is Hello Builder by UtsuP since i wanted them to have harsher rock songs than l/n (bordering on metal-ish)! color-coded lyrics here :)

AWR: funny story--all of the above units were made in the order listed! so i got to AWR and... i have ichika, minori, emu, and akito. and im like "NONE OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON". and then i went. "WAIT. THATS IT!" so here's how AWR goes: ichika still tries to reform l/n, but fails; minori is still trying to become an idol; and emu is still trying to revive the wonder stage. all three of them, all attending miya ofc, end up bonding over this and they start thinking. is there a way to satisfy all three of their dreams (band, idol, and show) at once? and at FIRST the answer is "no lol" so they go exploring. and somehow someway (workin on that) word finds out about this and some guy on vivid street dares akito to try and fix em into shape in a week. akito--being akito--accepts quite hotheadedly, then quickly realizes that maybe this wasnt a good idea?? because EVERYONE has a different music taste and its almost impossible to keep up with them all!!! but eventually they do figure it all out, and by the end none of them wanted to split apart or anything. AWR is i think the group that has the least amount of direction which might be on purpose. i think (again im rambling rn so) part of their story is figuring out what their direction is going to be! their untitled is Lip Sync by DECO*27, written as a part of holo*27 (hi no im not rlly into vtubers i just like their music) but i count it bc its written by a voca producer and this would not be the first time a non-vocaloid sung a unit song (cough cough mafumafu and tuyu). you CAN find my color-coded lyrics here.... but i did the translations. which means they're pretty much 98% google translated then bonked around to make sense. i dont know japanese please dont sue me

actually upon further reflection i think im satisfied with this design so im posting it by itself. i think i managed to capture the ideas well enough (explained below) and my first tattoo doesnt need to be especially profound

just like the other one this combines a few different themes so ill try to go in order

The Rabbit: this ties into every other theme, and the biggest reason was because i thought it fit the idea i wanted best. ive had this concept for 3 years now, and it was always a rabbit because it was always about the dynamic of predator vs. prey, and how an animal backed into a corner will always defend itself. it was always going to be. rabbit, and the rabbit was always going to look scary and injured, it’s part of the idea

Perception: the biggest concept behind the piece is “what happened to the rabbit?” because i tried to leave it up to interpretation. i hope that different people will think different things when they see it, because that tells you a little bit about who they are. did the rabbit escape from something? did it do something? well, i don’t know. i want to hear what the people who ask me about it think.

The Magician; Impulse, And Whether To Follow It: these three ideas are kind of all tied up together, so it would be difficult for me to separate them. Magicians and rabbits are, at this point, pretty much inherently connected ideas, so incorporating the Magician tarot card is a bit of a half-winking joke. But also, the Magician is one of my two favorite cards, and it really does link to what white rabbits represent in media, thanks to Alice in Wonderland. The rabbit and the Magician are guides to Alice and the Fool. I also want to credit The Matrix in this one, because while that itself draws inspiration from Alice, I feel it’s used in a much different way. Alice follows the rabbit into madness, and must escape herself. Neo is trapped in madness, and follows the rabbit to freedom. The Magician is a guide to the Fool, and points him in the direction of the rest of his journey, wherever that may take him.

Connections: These ideas tie together really well in my mind. On top of the question what happened to the rabbit, I want people to wonder, would I follow that rabbit? Am I aware of the nature of the people around me, or do I see what I want to see? Would I trust that person to be my guide? Am I paying attention to my surroundings? Am I being truthful to myself?

I feel like the rabbit is more than anything a warning and reminder to myself, to pay attention and be careful, and also that I’m stronger than I think.

Instead of Yuu our resident Earl of Phantomhive got transported to the magical realm of Twisted Wonderland. Along with him Sebastian and our wonderful reader were dragged, the latter who is also bound by contract (which WILL be explained once I get this shit sorted but I can't just give you all the details just yet). During their time there they deal with overblots, give closure to the different dorms, yada yada yada

BUT WAIT, THERES MORE

Silver and reader who eventually meet and bond over their life long assigned roles, though notice the explicit differences. Silver, who if he ever wanted, is free to defect from his role of a Knight. He doesnt, though, he does it not because he has to but because he wants to. The reader, on the other hand, is completely and utterly bound. There is no free will nor autonomy in their line of work, everything they live and breath for is for the protection of Ciel Phantomhive.

Deciding that this just wont do, Silver decides to show that they are not just their title. There is joy to be found outside of risking their very life for the protection of another. Even Papa Lilia tags along, seeing the obvious fondness his beloved son holds for the outsider.

However, despite what the fairytales may have told, there will not always be a happy ending. Ciel is determined to get home and a certain butler will ensure that his protégé will follow through with their duty when the time comes to return.

I assume there are other characters from the books, what are her interactions and relationships with then like if she meets then frequently? Does she spend more time in the human world or Wonderland?

✦ Howdy! So...

Sam accept this role not because she wanted to but she needed to. If she wanted to live peacefully and be freed from these Jabberwocky Creatures and keep the realms safe and balanced, she needed to accept that role. In the beginning she didnt agree on this, since she isnt ready for such responsibility and thinks she is not the best person for it (and she also thinks everyone on the Wonderland are completely bonkers, which she isnt so wrong about it). but slowly she started getting used by it and accept it, and kinda started to enjoying her magical and mad adventures between the two worlds a little bit. And of course she doesnt enjoy when she almost dies in a big fight between a jabberwocky creature--

✦ AND HOHOHO!! LETS TALK ABOUT THE OTHER CHARACTERS A LIL BIT!!!

In fact the "Into the Borderland" world got the characters from the books! And got other characters I've created because... oh, well, why not? :3c

Mostly of Sam interactions with the Wonderlandians are almost similar with the Alice interactions with the Wonderlandians in the original book. Almost. I cant explain it without showing some examples, so how about I say how it is like Sam's relationships with two Wonderlandians and their personalities?

Let's start with the first Wonderlandian she meet with, and surprisingly it wasnt the white rabbit. It was the Jack of Hearts!

♥️🃏 Jack of Hearts are a member of the royalty of hearts in the kingdom of hearts, call him Jack or just Hearts. He is kinda the adopted son of the Red Queen of Hearts (The Queen of Hearts got three children if we count with Jack).

Jack was the person who saved Sam from a Jabberwocky Creature attack after she crossed into the borderland (eyy) between the two worlds accidentally, so she didnt even had any idea of what was going on and who was him. He knew that Sam wasn't no ordinary human so he convinced her to go to the wonderland with him so she could figure out what was going on. He teached her how to survive around wonderland and understand it's rules, and yadda yadda. He is always helping her to fight and make plans against the creatures in a way to defeat them.

Jack's age is around Sam's age. They dont got much age difference, its probably about a year or 2. He is very proud of himself, full of self confidence but he is a gentleman and a really sweet dude with a good heart. He is kinda of the theatrical kid, always looking for the dramatic. Sam find him a little annoying and a few times reckless, but she doesnt mind much tho. They two are good friends.

A funny thing about him is that sometimes when he tries to look cool and then fails successfully, he tries to hide it by faking it all was a part of his plan and have a winning smirk on his face. He also got feelings towards Sam and acts a little romantic towards her but she doesnt even notice him.

Sam: "Oh my god! Did it hurt when you fell???"

Jack: "When I fell over my knees for you?"

Sam: ... *inhale.*

Sam: "... HEARTS YOU LITERALLY JUST FELL DOWNSTAIRS—"

And now... let's go to the most mysterious and smiling Wonderlandian, the Cheshire cat.

💜☁️ The Cheshire Cat is a normal looking cat, well, if you assume a pink cat with a big wide smile as a normal cat characteristics then, yes! He is a normal looking cat.

Remember that in wonderland you dont find Cheshire, he is the one who finds you.

When someone is lost in the Wonderland, the Cheshire cat appears and tries to "help" the lost person to find their path (Well he actually makes the person confused and in the end the own person finds their own way, so... I guess he helps a little bit???). And one time when Sam lost herself from Jack and doesnt know how to leave the woods, the cat showed up to her. They two had a interaction very similar to the books and the classic disney animation version of it. Sam doesn't seem to understand what is up with that weird cat but she tries to not to think too much about it, after that everytime Sam is feeling lonely or is "lost" (In both meanings, like losing herself from her path or not knowing what to do) Cheshire shows up to her and helps her in his own kinda way. He also randomly shows up just for funsies because he can.

Cheshire: "He went that way."

Sam: "...Who?"

Cheshire: "The white rabbit."

Sam: "Really?? Where did he go?"

Cheshire: "He who?"

Sam: "The white rabbit."

Cheshire: "What rabbit?"

We dont know much about his magical abilities or his real power, we only know he can change his form, teleport around and be invisible.

And that's all for a few relationships she got with the Wonderlandians, in the future I can tell about her relationship with others.

✦ And for the last and not least... I would say she stays in the two worlds like the same much? I guess so. :'3c

one thing i love about alice in wonderland is how in the very beginning of the movie we do see why alice experiences wonderland the way she does. she's supposed to be studying but she doesnt want to, she wants to do her own thing but she's getting scolded and told that she needs to focus and pay attention to the lesson. she complains that she simply doesnt want to and her mother? tutor? doesnt matter. tells her that those are the rules and the way the world works. alice wishes she lived in a world where nothing made sense and everything was backwards

little did she realise that she was just describing the way she felt about how the world does work. she felt everything was backwards and nothing made sense because shes a little girl who doesnt understand why she cant go have her own fun instead of studying, wonderland is just alice's life in a fantasy setting and through wonderland we can see how alice feels abour living in her every day life

i think the movie is pretty wonderful at explaining how it feels to be 5 years old in a world where no one takes 5 year olds seriously

in almost every other children's book where the main heroine is swept away to a land of whimsy she's shown having a lovely time; braving dangers occasionally, trying to find her way home, sure, but ultimately delighting in the magic around her. meanwhile alice spends her entire time in wonderland like

Ok so for Riddle I was lowkey stumped on who to pair him with? But I think he'd best get along with Sakyo Furuichi since they both are pretty authorative and strict? I genuinely dont know who else to pair him with 😭

Sakyo Didnt seem that interested in talking with Riddle at first, commenting on how he doesnt have time to meddle with some kid from the street 💀

Riddle did not like him. Not one bit.

But after spending more time with him and the rest of Autumm trope, he starts to respect his authorative figure and how he's able to keep his trope in shape, so maybe, he isnt that bad.

As for Ace, I think he'd get along best with Banri Settsu, both relatively laid back people who get into trouble on a regular basis! though Banri's definitely more on the gangster-punk-ish-intimidating side rather than Ace's chill troublemaker vibe. I can see the both of them being competitive with games (for Banri, he'd invite him to the arcade, and for Ace, I guess a game of basketball??)

Ah, our boy Deuce! I wholeheartedly believe he'd get along with Juza Hyodo! Both used to be deliquents after all (Or at least- looked like a deliquent?? For Juzas case?), but strived to better themselves. For Juza, he wanted to better himself (and his reputation as a deliquent, much like Deuce) because of his love for theatre, and Deuce wanted to quit his ways to become an honor role student! both of them would click really well tbh, in my opinion at least.

Ace is not happy as Deuce spends more time with him, Like?? Isnt he the best friend here 🤨🤨??? /hj

(mf he was the one who refused to call Deuce his bsf and now hes complaining 🙄)

I think Trey and Omi would share stories and their struggles of being the mom friendᵗᵐ and would exchange various recipes with each other! overall very wholesome :D

Can we know more about the various bosses and mini bosses in your AU? Like Vanessa?

Okay this took me a while to awnser because i was trying to figure out how, but i think i can answer on vanessa.

First things first, due to the way that the Subcon story changed during development, Vanessas story feels really unfinished. There seems to be no reason for her to have just snapped besides the love. Which i guess works from a story telling point but i don't like it. Anyways, let me tell you what ive come up with by now.

Vanessa has some undiagnosed mental issues, most likely some form of personality disorder. Im not fully set on it, but she deffintly had problems she needed help with that she did not get.

The zombie curse that is present in the curse dlc has run in her family for generations. If you were to look back at paintings of them, all royal members would wear gloves. The ice powers however are unique to her.

Before her meltdown she was loved by the people, they adored her. She kept part of tbe forsest in this permanent winter wonderland. (Not the icy stuff you see in game, but instead a beautiful display of ice and snow)

Occasionally she would make ice sculptures, often for events and festivals. Due to being made out of magical ice and not normal ice, these would never melt. Not untill she decided to destroy them.

She was not very big on reading or really learning about royal duties in genral. She did enjoy baking though, often getting along with the Royal chefs.

She also enjoyed gardening and would spend many days perfecting her garden, it was beautiful.

Now lets move to after the breakdown.

After her magic freezes most of the forest, she retreats to her manor and doesnt leave. She doesnt even go into the garden that she had loved so much.

She has a few of her own minons, mostly headless statues that protect her manor and other areas important to her. They are mostly mindless without their heads. (There is one statue with a head, they are practically her advisor.)

She doesnt quite register that all of this was her fault. She knows she had a part to play, but she doesn't understand it all. She actully thinks it was snatcherss fault.

If you were to get close enough you coulf make out all the details of her still there, albeit incased in shadow. Her hair is quite tangled, not taken care of much any more. One eye is permently closed, always crying. The other looks quite insane, always darting around paranoid. Her dress is tattered and worn, but still faintly green.

She's gone a bit insane from her isolation, often talking to the ice statues and pretending they responded. She's very lonley.

When Hat and Bowie arive, she flips between desperetly wanting them to stay, and wanting them to leave her alone and get out of her manor. It does not help that they are children.

Now after the reset.

She had a feeling that something wasnt right, theat someone had broken in, yet there was no evidence of anything. She even enters the attic for the first time in many years and looks inside the chest of valuables. The strange glowing relic (time peice) that the statues had brought her was still there.

It's a few days after the reset when she finally leave her manor for the first time since the meltdown. Granted its not far, she only enters the garden but its a huge step.

The garden has fallen into a sad state, she quickly started to fix things up, practically moving on instict. It was refreshing to do things. though she did accidently break a few stems, out of practice.

It will be slow, but she has a possible path to improovment.

So. I was stuck between either Jade, Ida, Jamil or Malleus... But I ened up with Malleus over all lol.

Okay, I don't see Malleus being too touchy or clingy tbh, maybe its just a dragon thing. But he might get a bit curious about our non-dragon tendencies and might over step a bit. But he means no harm and with gladly apologize and step back once he realizes he's gone a tad bit too far.

And in my experiences, aquaruius and capricorns seeme to vibe pretty well. They're both not too chaotic, and can enjoy a peaceful silence each doing their own thing for the most part.

Malleus understands how you need your space, he's the same. Which is exactly why he was chilling by himself outside of Ramshackle that one time that you spotted him.

Malleus loves to engage in deep conversations, he doesnt talk much but he feels he can spill everything he's feeling when given the chance.

I'm positive Malleus also adores nature, that explains why he chooses that as his prefered method of hiding from Sebek lol.

And gore doesn't seem to bother him much. And he would love to just sit you in a comfortable slince and just watch you draw, or maybe havng a small slow conversation about your day as you play a videogame you borrowed from Ida.

Malleus isn't one for loud sounds either, or things that becoming overwhelming either, thats why all in all. I think he matches you the best lol
