This is an expansion on the previous ecosystem introduced with Grananty and Eeriedescents evolution line!
OOOHHHH BOY HAVE I BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO POST THIS ONE - I got inspired to design this line after accidentally abducting a heard of black aphids on a single strand of currants I was harvesting. The single ant that was looking after its pets ran in a panic back from my hand to her herd on the strand and back again, not knowing what to do. I laid the currant strand back in the bush to leave the poor farmer and her cattle in peace :'D
And while I was doing some research to properly design this line, I learned that aphids develop wings when they need to branch out to new food sources and that ants actively CUT their wings to prevent them from FLEEING. And that some ants (at least the species I had looked up) develop a chemical substance that ejects from their feet when stepping on their Aphids - A chemical that prevents the aphid from ever developing wings in the FIRST place.
MAN ANTS ARE SO FUCKED UP AND SO MUCH LIKE US IT'S INSANE
Erifae is based on a different family of aphids by the way: The WOOLLY Aphids. I have seen one only ONCE in my life and they literally look like the tiniest of fairies - A look on google is definitely worth your time :D

Like a tender shoot breaking through hardened earth, this card heralds the dawn of new beginnings and the promise of material blessings. With unwavering grace, the Ace of Galls offers lessons of mindfulness and practicality, reminding us to cultivate a sturdy foundation upon which to build our dreams. It urges us to align our ambitions with the rhythms of nature, recognizing the inherent value of patience and perseverance in our pursuits. It invites us to cultivate a sense of gratitude for the blessings that surround us, to recognize the inherent value of simplicity, and to find joy in the small miracles of everyday existence. As the first card in the suit of Galls, it symbolizes the fertile soil from which our endeavors can take root and flourish.
Just as the gall represents a seed of prosperity, woolly aphids symbolize the beginning stages of growth and bounty in the natural world. These sap-sucking insects, adorned with a filamentous waxy covering reminiscent of cotton or wool, thrive amidst the lush foliage of trees and shrubs. This adaptation can be seen as a symbol of protection, resourcefulness, resilience, and the importance of laying a solid base for future success. While they can harm the plant if their population becomes unbalanced, their presence also indicates a fertile environment where life blooms. Just as the Ace of Galls signals new opportunities, the appearance of woolly aphids suggests the possibility of prosperity and abundance in unexpected places.
To fully reap the benefits of the galls' gifts, one must cultivate the inner tranquility that accompanies stability. Such a mindset fosters openness to new experiences, breaking free from stagnant routines from the past. Through the journey of the Galls, we discover that true fortune extends beyond the realm of possessions—it resides in the fertile soil of the heart, in the richness of connection, and in the abundance of spirit. It is a card of promise and potential, reminding us that within the humblest of beginnings lies the seed of boundless plenty, waiting to be nurtured and cultivated into fruition.

this is Blanc, she's an outcast of the Widow's Fangs who betrayed them years ago. Tera has made it her personal duty to hunt her down herself. The two have a very strong rivalry.

recently my brainspace has been invaded by a colony of woolly aphids. look at them! fluffy bug! how cool! I know it's technically, like, wax, but still! and their wings are so pretty. this picture I like especially because they kind of have a rainbow shimmer. so pretty. so magical. little fluffy fairies fr
I've been reading some articles about aphids recently. apparently there's some confusion regarding their taxonomy. It's very confusing for someone as new as me but it's still so cool to learn about.
photo isn't mine, definitely one of my favorites tho. the credits are in the bottom right corner :]

@thejameison submitted: Saw this tiny little fairy floating through the air in Central Ohio. I thought it was a cotton wood seed at first but it has tiny little translucent wings. I made a wish and let it go just in case it's not a bug.
That's a piece of lint. Hope this helps.
Just kidding it's a woolly aphid! Or a fairy. You decide.
