There’s even a scene in the new episodes of squid game where the female characters are going to the bathroom together and the tim wants to follow and one of the female characters tells the guards “it’s okay she’s a woman” ??😭😭 like ma’am we can all see that’s a man in a wig. And I understand the thought is that he is pre transition but the characters have accepted his woman identity because he wants to use the money for surgeries and “live as a woman” but he’s literally not a woman. He wants to win the money so he can go to Thailand and get surgery because there are many like him there and another player remarks that that is true and that some of them are “prettier than actual woman”. So I was fine with that because I could understand why a Korean Tim would want to go to Thailand and be along the so called lady boys, and there was a distinction between actual women and them, but then the bathroom scene happened and I was like lmao okay … ?? But none of this bothers me as much as people on here who watched the episodes and har calling his friendship with a female player “a lesbian ship” or whatever. Especially because there were two female character in the first season who did have some potential subtext … or at least a friendship that people shipped and referred to as lesbian, and now they’re comparing that to this tim and his friend saying “every season of squid game has doomed lesbians” and stuff and I’m like that’s a whole man in a wig! Not even a man with many surgeries to look like a woman (which they never entirely do anyway) so I could at least try to understand where some of the cognitive dissonance to call that lesbian comes from. All around very frustrating

It’s always so annoying to see how fictional women are written in regards to how they act around TIMs. They’re basically just walking sources of Validation™️. It’s another form of female characters existing to serve male characters. And if the female character doesn’t act like that, she’s being villainised for it.

Also insane that Squid Game is supposed to be a criticism of capitalism and how far people will go for money that will better their lives…but they have a man who wants the prize money to get plastic surgery. In the first season we had a character who wanted the money to help her family escape North Korea. Another wanted to give the money to his mother. There was an underpaid immigrant who wanted to help his family. I’m sure there’s similar situations in season 2. And I’m supposed to look at them, then look at some dude who’s like “I want to cut off my penis” and think they’re all in the same boat?? I’m supposed to be rooting for him to survive over everyone else so he can get cosmetic surgery and call himself a woman?? What???

I’ve actually been meaning to make a post about the people who say that TIMs are “prettier” than women. It’s purely based on femininity. Women don’t have to do anything to be women, we don’t have to rely on femininity. But these men need to overcompensate for their maleness by hiding behind femininity. So if your measure for what makes a pretty woman is femininity…then yeah, you’ll probably think the man dressed like Barbie on steroids is prettier than the woman in pyjamas. But to say that performing femininity proves that these men are women is so, SO sexist.

And calling Mr. Bob Cut And Adam’s Apple a LESBIAN is so fucking disgusting holy shit. He’s even played by a non-trans identified man. So it just proves that these idiots will see any man put a wig on and think he can qualify as a lesbian. And then they lament over how “so many lesbians are transphobic!” I WONDER WHY!!!

At this point they have to just be either stupid, completely brainwashed, or purposefully homophobic. Because nobody could look at that man, or any man, and genuinely believe he’s a lesbian unless they’re a downright idiot, or brainwashed by their ideology, or just so happy to finally have an excuse to disrespect lesbians.

i really get like a dog whenever i hear or read benny's name. i immediately perk up. im trying to find boone and i went into manny's room just because and i forgot about this message on manny's computer. i think it's interesting that they describe him as twitchy. two things are happening once he did in fact steal from his boss. his boss with a robot army. and two he is about to betray the khan guys he hired. anyways it seems like he's painfully nervous.
