For the potential au I can't stop thinking about a mythology type story with Bucky.

Maybe the reader made a deal with Hades to bring back her lover (like Meg from Hercules) or maybe the reader is the goddess of love and is banned from seeing Bucky. Or maybe Bucky goes to Asgard on a mission and meets a goddess that he falls in love with.....

Either way I love the lyrics from One Directions You & I "not even the Gods above can separate the two of us"

Since there are three different AUs...

Hades

Bucky is a version of Hades and you make a deal to get your lover out of the underworld. Loosely based on Orpheus and Eurydice, but you have to take your lover’s place in the underworld when the deal falls through.

Another God will try to bargain for Bucky to release you, but he refuses to let you go.

Though Bucky made the deal because he knew your lover would fail and you'd take his place, he doesn't smother you for your affection. He understands what has been done and that you need time to heal and love again.

Instead of having Cerberus, he has a cat. Alpine. And Alpine adores you.

You grow to love your afterlife. Bucky included.

Goddess of Love

Many mortals love you, but Bucky is the only one you love in return. So jealous God sends a Goddess to seduce him in the hope that he'll break your heart, but he is devoted to you.

The jealous God bans you from seeing Bucky. Literally. You’re unable to gaze upon him, no matter how hard you search for him.

To add salt in the open wound, Bucky is muzzled and you can't hear him call out or declare his love for you either.

A kind Goddess takes pity on you when your tears nearly cause a flood and convinces the jealous God to grant you one day a year to see Bucky: February 14th.

Bucky has a shrine built in your honor and you promise to find a way to break the curses put upon you. No matter how long it takes.

Asgard

Bucky doesn't know it, but his destiny is to die in Asgard as his sacrifice will save the lives of many.

Steve Rogers will also give his life for the greater good.

Though Bucky falls in love with you almost immediately and you fall for him as well, you know the fate that awaits him and can't stop it. You’ve tried.

You try to warn Bucky that the two of you will not live a long life together, but he doesn't care as long as he can be with you. He'll cherish every moment as long as you're his.

A frenemy has found a way for you and Bucky to be together in the afterlife, but you have to give him something in return.

19) when it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?

Ahh!! The ONLY story I have ever done this for is Desperate Affairs and then the Desperate Lives sequel, but that’s because it was three generations of people, and one of Ransom’s daughters had 10 children 😂

I had a very extensive head cannon. It had the characters names, zodiac signs, their ages compared to other characters, jobs, and their offspring. Some of it you can actually see here on my blog. I have family trees, character moodboards with their vehicles and fragrance. Their personalities were different enough it was easy to keep up with. But that is the ONLY one I have ever done that with 🤣

So I didn't always, but nowadays I try really hard to respond to every comment thread at least, even if I don't always have the last comment on the thread. I really REALLY appreciate each and every comment and I actually often re-read them when I'm feeling insecure in my writing (is that cringe? maybe lol but it's true)

6. what is the fic your wrote with the angstiest ending?

Definitely The Beauty of Green. 268-word OL: BA drabble that smacks you out of nowhere in the last two sentences. I never write things that short anymore but it just worked

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

A lot of my one-shots back when I was writing for MLB like 5 years ago have happy endings. I prefer more *complicated* endings now, but a genuinely happy ending can be nice too. May I present Drops in a Pond for consideration though? Not traditionally fluffy or sweet, but I like to think it's a soft and hopeful kind of ending.

8. do you get hate on fics?

I haven't yet. I think I'm too small of a creator to get hate lol

9. do you write smut?

I've posted one smut fic before, Under the Moonlight, listed above. It's my top-rated fic so I guess I know a little of what I'm doing. OH and my side-wip I'm working on when SMH is too angsty for me is all fluff and kinky Parkner smut and I'm so excited to post that someday when SMH is fully out and done.

10. craziest crossover:

I haven't written any crossovers, unless you count pulling from marvel canon across different adaptations to make SMH (it's got Gwen and Harry and Miles even though they're not in the MCU 19999 as of now). But I used to write a lot of aus

I don't think so

No, but I would be so honored if someone did! I once had a full conversation in the comments with someone in another language by using Google Translate and that was fun!

I think my writing process would be a little too unconventional to co-write with someone unless we were trading chapters and perspectives. I go back and edit my drafts a lot as I move forward and I would be too tempted to edit their writing too, which feels mean...

14. all time favorite ship?

I LITERALLY CAN NOT PICK DO NOT DO THIS TO ME!!!!! I will be a multi-shipper until the day I die, in basically every fandom.

15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have an idea for a series of long fics making an MCU HS AU inspired by Degrassi, but I think it would be just too many hours and too many words that I won't ever commit to. I love a good HS AU every now and again, but I feel like a lot of people (across fandoms with hs aus tbh) write the characters as if they already have a lot of the canon quirks the characters have as adults. I would want to write them truly as their HS selves, acting like real teenagers and all the dumb shit teens do, as the reader follows along on the journey of their growing up.

16. what are your writing strengths?

I think I really like detail and trying to portray a level of reality with the characters, even in more fantastical settings. I want the character's choices and motivations to be both complex and clear to the reader, even when they're making choices that the reader disagrees with. I also think this is a skill that is more and more prevalent in my recent writing, so my earlier MLB stuff doesn't have as much of it. My OLBA stuff and now my Spidey stuff though? Yeah.

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

Staying motivated to finish WIPS. (This is something I've improved a lot on though and at this point, barring some kind of life-or-death calamity in my life, I will absolutely be finishing SMH. I'm literally 120k of a predicted 150k words deep and going strong sooo).

OH ALSO comedy! I'm so bad at writing funny characters and making them actually say things that are both funny and make sense. Sucks when writing Spidey cause he can be such a little shit with his sarcastic comments and each dialogue point takes me 3-5 business weeks to come up with.

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I do it very rarely and only when it feels 100% necessary. I had a small bit in Spanish in ch 6 of SMH because Jeff and Rio were literally talking about Peter right in front of him and he could hear the words they were saying, even if he didn't understand them. But it was very brief.

I did it because the POV character literally didn't understand it, so it made sense to have it written out. In fics where the POV character understands what's being said, I prefer it all be written in the fic's primary language, for reader ease.

19. first fandom you wrote in?

A:TLA, like I said. That was back in the dark ages of my Junior Year of HS on my old ffn account that will never see the light of day again hahaha

20. favorite fic you've written?

Every current WIP has always been my favorite because that is what I'm thinking about. So SMH is definitely my current fave. It's my baby and I've put literally hundreds of hours into it (I keep a spreadsheet lol, it's nearly 150 hours of sheer writing, not including the early days of brainstorming and outlining.)

HOWEVER, back in the day, I was really proud of writing Answer Me and it's literally my lowest-rated fic, but I was such a fan of the genre and the Night Circus inspiration. Plus, I love Alya as a character and it was really fun to write from her perspective.

OH, and I'm still proud of Under the Moonlight because it taught me that my acespec ass can write smut and is also good at it, lol. I just have to write smut that's rooted in ~*~feelings~*~ and also has an element of humanism and imperfection. Which is the type of vibe I'm putting into my side-wip rn.

I had a hilarious conversation with @astroboots and @the-ginger-hedge-witch in which I actually admitted that I never write really praising Frankie because I get jealous, lmao — the praise is for ME 🤡

I think it has a lot to do with power dynamics too, ie. pussy dumb is lost in the sauce fucking you, at least when I write it, and sub men are lost in the sauce when you’re fucking them, (no matter if that’s riding them or pegging them or whatever) in my mind.

More to this — I don’t want to give direction. I feel like with sub men, you give them directions or you tell them how, and I don’t want to do that. I want someone to take care of me. Pussy dumb can still be taking care of me, but sub men aren’t — if that makes any sense?

I could be wrong and I’m probably botching this lol, but this is sorta how my brain sees it ❤️

When Casey had told him that he was a bank robber who had ended up on Alcatraz in his timeline, O.B. had thought he was joking, because it really wasn't the past he had imagined after getting to know Casey.  But it was the truth. However, O.B. couldn't care less of his past, because the Casey that mattered was the one he was today.  The one O.B. knew. What O.B. didn't understand was why Casey came to see him.  Most of the time, O.B. was busy researching and fixing thing for the TVA.  He was far from an entertaining guest, but the analyst kept coming back.  Always thoughtful and kind. Always the same smile. Casey could see whoever he wanted up there, all kinds of people who were probably more fun than O.B. was. Especially since fraternization was no longer forbidden. So why? Why seek O.B.'s companionship?

Hi, nonnie! How are you? Hope you're well.

How am I doing? Glad you asked.

Work is, well, work. I have a full time job. I'm actually trying to get promoted! I have a big interview for that next week. If I don't get it, that's okay. I can apply again for it this summer. Regardless, I'll have to work twice as hard when I get it or work twice as hard to earn the promotion midyear.

When I'm not working, I have my kiddos. I've tossed around getting a babysitter for random nights or weekends because most of my friends and relatives that can watch or spend time with them are over 800 miles away. In between making memories with them and when they're sleeping, my hubby wants some quality time together and so do I.

I also need to sleep, so there's that.

Doesn't leave much room for writing some days, does it? I fit it in where I can. So, that means some updates or ficlets may be very short. Some weeks you may not hear much from me at all. I would LOVE to churn out long stories, but I simply can't most days. I've still shared over 14k worth of stuff so far this month, so I'm proud of that.

Writing is a hobby that I love, work is a necessity as it pays for everything, my kiddos need their mother, and my hubby needs his wife.

When I say I'm doing my best, I'm saying it with my whole chest.

Flashing lights, red and blue, reflecting off the crisp, white snow; two robbers running from the cops. Always running, forever, until the end of time, or at least that’s how Michael Townley felt, locked in tight by his seatbelt, the getaway car little better than a piece of shit, found somewhere off the beaten path before the job. It was a small-time gig, just a liquor store, but plenty of people warmed themselves by getting drunk; the register loaded down with money while its patrons were loaded down with booze; a typical, cold winter’s night for the pair of two-bit crooks.

Michael turned around, his weapon drawn, a pair of police cruisers in hot pursuit. They were firing their own rounds, aiming for the tires, and Townley knew he had to do something soon or wind up behind bars. “Can’t this thing go any faster, T?!”

“You know what’s REALLY fast? Your God damn mouth. Quit flapping your lips and get those assholes off our tail!”

Michael took a shot simply to smash the rearview windshield, seeing the cruisers clear as day as they were gaining on them, M feeling that all too familiar rush of adrenaline permeate throughout his entire being; he would tell T that he hated it, but the rush he felt made him feel alive, something he rarely felt at all.

On a good day he was half a man, kept alive by petty theft and diner food, skirting from one town to the next, Trevor at his heels like an obedient, somewhat restless puppy that needed to be potty trained – M taking it upon himself to break him in. He was useful, beneficial, however unrestrained and somewhat uncontrollable; he had it in his mind it was an easy fix, but Trevor had other wild ideas.

Michael pulled the trigger, and one cop spun out in a flurry of ice and squealing rubber, the car being buried conveniently in a mountain of thick, white powder, but not cocaine; that would be saved for their celebration later if they made it out alive.

“Whooo! That’s my cowboy! That’s some rootin’ tootin’ damn good shootin’, Mikey!”

“I don’t ever want to hear those words come out of your mouth again.”

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

LOL, you know allllll about my WIPs. Probably before anyone else. I have too many to choose from, but I hope to do these three things first and foremost:

Chapter 15 of Stars Above. Bane is in the bacta tank, forced to endure flashbacks from his past in the form of nightmares, and Zulara is left alone with Todo until he wakes up, however long it takes. But will Cad be pleased to see her there? What will Kayson think about her disappearance over the next few days? What lie or cover story will Hondo make up, if any?

This Hondo x Reader fic, where the reader is a spoiled little rich girl who is the daughter of a weapon's manufacturer. Their fates are hilariously intertwined, and Hondo is going to wind up getting more than he bargained for when he had originally set out to simply steal a little something off her.

A Tech x Reader fic where the Marauder is left in Tech's care during a Separatist attack on the planet Bandomeer. He comes across the reader who is injured and trapped under some rubble. He must help you/her and then pilot you both to safety. An unexpected turn of events causes you and Tech to be stranded until he can repair the ship; you are at the mercy of nature and the elements over the course of the next few days, not to mention any droids who may find you, and the rest of Clone Force 99 is preoccupied and unable to help. Hurt/Comfort/Possible smut. >D

I'm going to fandom hell after I fandom die sadly but I have already made fandom peace with it. -- I swear I really want to read you guys' stuff I just don't have the time and/or attention span a lot of the time!

I know, recency bias and all. But hush. The first chapter of this story could have been a story all on its own. I'm going to elaborate on what I like so much about this story in a comment here soon but long story short, I love how Huey is portrayed. Della too. Also Jamie has mentioned that her stories can be traced back to experiences she's had, and I can feel that going through this one. So much vivid detail that takes an experience I've never even touched and makes me feel like I'm living it. Not to mention how Huey feels relatable to me personally (thanks, neurodivergence!). Anyway, get your peepers out for this one, and your reading glasses if you've got em. It'll be a good one.

Come to think of it, this fic might have been a huge inflection point for me. It was probably the first time I ever realized that Violet Sabrewing is Literally Me (TM) because she's autistic and ace and plays chess what is there not to love. But also going through it again, I feel like this at least indirectly inspired "My Head is an Animal". Specifically, the part where Violet has a breakdown and Lena consoles her. Also also, not really related to anything I've done yet, but it got me to take May Duck seriously as a character. One of those moments where I realized that fanfiction could take a one-off clone of somebody else and give them depth, personality, etc. Not that she didn't have that in the show, but I think anybody would tell you that we didn't get very much May Duck content in DT17. Without this fic, we would have never been May'd. Send this to your friends to totally May them.

This was my genesis in the DuckTales 2017 brain rot. I don't care if these end up aging terribly and turns out there's a trillion typos and also it was written in Gaelic so I can't even read it and actually it was all a dream and none of it ever happened. These three are still going to have a special place because they opened me up to being a fan of something. I was just ranging out of that age where you were supposed to hide if you liked stuff, especially anything for kids. My nostalgic pandemic-era binge of Phineas and Ferb, for example, was something to feel shameful of, not enjoy every second of like I ended up doing. But watching DuckTales, and then immersing myself into this fandom shortly thereafter, taught me how to enjoy things. How to love things. How to love myself. Since 2021, I've spent a lot of time embracing who I am and learning to love myself. I'm not gonna say that DT17 taught me how to do all of that, but I will say that it showed me how doing so could make me so much happier in life. And here I am now, being happy in life. Funny how that works.

41: Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?

This answer applies to pretty much everything. Movies, tv shows, and yes, reading stuff. I don't rewatch/reread stuff unless I have a reason to do so. It's nothing against the concept or anything, just that I always feel like I need a reason for doing whatever I do. Usually if I rewatch/reread something, it's because I want to check a specific part of it, like quoting a line properly or what have you. Even the fics that I linked up top, I haven't reread them in the two years since I found them. That's just how my brain works I guess.

62: Thoughts on cliffhangers?

I'm fine with cliffhangers as long as they're eventually resolved. I used a few in "Groundhog Day", and that was fun to do. I'll also say that as a writer, cliffhangers in actively updated fics are a neat little trick to get people talking. Want some free feedback? Just have Lena Sabrewing wake up in a void outside of time and space. And then just end the chapter. Comments go wild for that.

As a reader, cliffhangers are alright but it comes with a big caveat: I'm not the best at remembering what I last read. So if it's been a few days or a week since the cliffhanger, I might have some trouble remembering where we are in the story. It might be a smooth transition where we pick up exactly where we left off, but that might not click in my brain. Idk it's weird. And like I said I tend not to reread stuff that often so that complicates things.
