ur ffs is exactly like mine, and i have made them with AI. The beginning and the writing style is the same, dont think that youre fooling anyone with ur writing.
although i respect your honesty and how you admit to using AI, your claims are completely nonsense. even if i did use AI why would you try to anonymously attack me on the internet for it?
ai can be helpful, and it could make your writing sound better or help you get started. have you thought that maybe, just maybe, AI learns from all the stuff that is posted and provided on the internet and the inputs people provide when using AI? perhaps that is why stories have similar beginnings. AI typically uses the same information to format their responses, which is what has been provided to them.
accusing me of copying AI because your stories sound like mine and vice versa, is just so crazy to me.
i sincerely hope you do not derive satisfaction from anonymously hating on people in their inbox with baseless attacks, because that would make you the hypocrite.
there's absolutely no reason to be rude or attack me, and perhaps other writers with this accusation, when you yourself fall into the category of AI Generated.

We often trick ourselves into thinking poems need be long and drawn out to extract some sort of truth from the stream of consciousness outpouring from our lips, pen-tips, and keystrokes... like prospectors sifting the earth searching for gold specks in dirt lifted from a river's bed. We must take great care to remind ourselves on occasion that the time we spend looking for golden truth is not nearly as important as where we start our search. written 9/1/2024 @ 7:58pm by Alexander Learmont https://www.patreon.com/Elysianwing

The Truth About Evil
Tumblr media
*Trigger warning* Details regarding the execution of Jews during the Nazi regime.
One of the biggest shames in writing history is the mischaracterization of the mentally ill. I could go into a long rant about this point alone citing all the scenarios and atrocities. I believe there is a central misunderstanding within the population or writers that leads to these mischaracterizationsโ€”the myth that one must be mentally ill in order to be evil. Why would someone murder a child? Because they were a sociopath. Why would someone cut up their parents into tiny pieces? Because the voice in their head told them to. This waving of the hand over atrocities and claiming they had to be insane is appalling. Of course, the more uncomfortable fact is most people who commit evil are sane, rational people.
This fact should chill us to the bone. Because that means that โ€˜normalโ€™ people are capable of horrible atrocities. We are capable of incomprehensible evil.
Iโ€™ve heard it said that one should read history from the eyes of the perpetrator, not the victim to prevent themselves from going down the same road. This is good advice.
One of the books that inspired my story Surviving Midas was Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution by Christopher Browning. Itโ€™s a harrowing read and one I had to take breaks from in order to finish. There is very little in terms of records regarding the mental state of the Nazis who executed the Jewish people during the holocaust. During the investigations that followed the war, very few former Nazis would admit to having taken part in any executions. For whatever reason, the men of the Reserve Police Battalion did share their stories.
So what sort of men was it that executed millions of Jewish people?
For the most part, ordinary men as the title of the book implies. These were farmers, craftsmen, factory workers, with families and children of their own. The Reserve Battalion 101 was given orders to arrive in a town called Jozefow at the break of dawn, haul the Jewish people from their homes, load the men up into trucks for a workcamp, and shoot the women and children. According to certain accounts, these men were shocked and horrified by the orders they were given. Even their commander spent most of the day wringing his hands and muttering about what terrible business they had been wrapped up in.
Group after group after group of women and children were taken out to the woods, forced to lay down on their stomachs, and shot in the back of the neck. Many of the officers did not make it through the first couple of executions before asking to be removed from the task. Their requests were granted.
They could have gotten out of it from the start, and some of them did. Upon arrival to the Jozefow, their commander informed them any could step out of line and go back to the barracks. Only a couple took him up on that offer. Others would later say they were too stunned in the moment to react with a clear mind, but that wasnโ€™t the only opportunity to bow out. One officer states he stayed up by the trucks for the rest of the day loading the men and being sure to look busy any time a new group of executioners was being rounded up.
So, why did they do it?
Per their statements, they feared being considered โ€˜too weakโ€™ or โ€˜cowardly.โ€™ They did not want to โ€˜lose faceโ€™ before the other policemen. As one officer stated: โ€œI must answer that no one wants to be thought a coward.โ€ It was one thing to refuse at the beginning, he added, and quite another to try to shoot but not be able to continue. Another stated his reason to not refuse was simply because, โ€œI was a coward.โ€
One policemen, who killed as many as twenty before quitting stated: โ€œI thought that I could master the situation, that without me the Jews were not going to escape anyway . . . Truthfully I must say that at the time we didnโ€™t reflect about it at all. Only years later did any of us become truly conscious of what had happened then . . . Only later did it first occur to me that (it) had not been right.โ€
Others rationalized their actions by believing they were not going to alter the fate of the Jews by saying no anyways. In one bizarre statement, an officer stated he killed only children while his neighbor shot the mothers. His belief was by shooting the mother, the children were dead anyways.
I write about this from perspective of an author because I think itโ€™s important for us to be aware of this. Part of the job of an author is to show the truth through lies, and itโ€™s not the truth that most heinous crimes are committed by the insane. Itโ€™s misguided, rational people who do the most damage. People who are afraidโ€”in fear for their life, in fear of their livelihood, or just in fear for their reputationโ€”are the most dangerous of us all. Let us strive to know truth and goodness and not be afraid.
And letโ€™s tell the truth with our lies (stories) so that others can see it too.
Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland, by Christopher R. Browning, Harper Perennial, 2017.

Day 11 for #SpilltheNovelTea & #FantasyIndiesJune is "#SnippetsSaturday" with lie or truth! In my WIP, An Impossible Dream, truth is another common theme in the story. The main character, Sare, is the queen of half-truths & technicalities. Her friend, Gracelynn, also has "a penchant for lying," as Hayworth puts it. It's another exploration of that ever-gray survival vs. morality. At the same time, there is so much about herself that Sare doesn't know and is left having to rely on stories she'd been told. There's a comfort to some of these stories, though, and "she'd like to think that, like most stories, somewhere in there lay a seed of truth." The prompt also made me think of this snippet from my first book, Society's Foundlings (available on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, etc, in my Etsy Shop, & ordered through your local library)! It's one of my favorite lines of the book: "There's more truth in a ripple of water than in a clear day." #animpossibledream #societysfoundlings #socalauthor #wipwednesday #bebookseries #beseries #truthorlie #truthquotes #writingtruth #storysnippet #storyquotes #bookseries #bookquotes #authorgram #writersofinstagram #writingofinstagram #amwriting #indiebooksbeseen #indiebooksofinstagram #WritingCommunity #writerscommunity #readingofinstagram #readersofinstagram #readingcommunity #readerscommunity #bookpreview #bookstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CerWyiAP_Jq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Their voices finally come through and you think,ย โ€œYES. Thatโ€™s exactly how this should go.โ€
But youโ€™re so f-ing tired you canโ€™t write the scene and the boys keep you awake anyway, making sure youโ€™ve got the details they insist will make or break it.

Truth: There are days where I feel like everything I write truly sucks eggs. I know this is all part of being a writer. You have good days and really bad days. Lately though, Iโ€™ve started to see a shimmer of light shine through with a project Iโ€™m working on. It is deeply sorrowful yet has hints of hope (like most of my books). This one feels really special. Like Iโ€™m telling a story that will touch even the most hardened soul. Every time I come back to it, it reminds me that I have something important to say. A story to be told that has yet to be heard. Though the road to get here has been tough, Iโ€™m very optimistic about what comes next, especially with regards to this book. *fingers crossed* . . . #yawriter #yawritinglife #storyteller #storytelling #youngadultbooks #youngadultfiction #yabooks #yastoryteller #writingtruth #pathtopublication #writerprobs #yawritingcommunity #yawritersofig #yawriterschat #yaauthorsofinstagram #yaauthor #yaauthorofig https://www.instagram.com/p/CO5uSzArh6P/?igshid=1gvobt0gov5lf

girl the aiโ€ฆ.
this is the second time iโ€™ve received this message in my inbox, so i feel itโ€™s necessary to address it because frankly, this accusation is absurd. iโ€™m certain iโ€™m not the only writer being accused of using chatgpt or some form of ai to craft my stories, and while i canโ€™t speak for others, iโ€™ll clarify my own position.
when i began writing stories on wattpad back in 2017, i was far from skilled. i was also quite young, with a vocabulary that reflected my middle school self. later, i started writing on tumblr in 2021 and officially on this account in 2022. at that time, i was still in high school, and my writing was undoubtedly rough around the edges, which is evident in my earlier works. however, as i progressed into university, the growth in my skills became increasingly apparent.
through my coursework and education, my writing style has naturally evolved becoming more polished, articulate, and coherent. yes, my stories now have proper grammar and flow better, but thatโ€™s a testament to growth, not automation. while some might find similarities in storytelling structures, that isnโ€™t because of ai; itโ€™s simply how creative minds often process and develop ideas.
furthermore, i am a psychology major, a significant part of my academic work involves learning how to articulate and convey ideas effectively. when it comes to crafting one concept for a broad audience, thereโ€™s only so much I can adjust in terms of wording and setting before certain elements start to feel repetitive. storytelling, much like academic writing, often requires structure and clarity, and if that results in some overlap in phrasing or themes, itโ€™s a reflection of the process, not a lack of originality.
to reduce years of effort, practice, and learning into a baseless claim of me using ai is both dismissive and insulting. i hope this clears things up for those who seem quick to jump to conclusions.

As a black writer, there are some things I am feeling a little stressed about even though I'm not published yet. I try not to think about it or worry about it when I'm writing but it's something that I think I do need to talk about because I don't know if anyone has talked about writing while black.
ย  Basically, my concern as a writer is that I won't be able to actually get a following amongst the African American community because my books will not be centered on black characters, black problems or themes I usually see in our media. There's a pressure that I feel as a writer. I don't know if anyone else has ever felt this way, but I thought it'd be a good thing to share as part of how and why I write stories the way I do.
ย  My stress comes from a few different points:
ย  1) I feel pressured to use mostly- if not only- black characters or have them as my main characters.
ย  2) Portraying a relatable black caricature despite not experiencing a lot of the things that seem "normal" for black people.
ย  3) Having all black couples.
ย  4) Having a deep pro-black message in my writing.
ย  5) My stories must have some African or Egyptian or African American influence or theme in it somewhere.
ย  My first point is the pressure I feel to use black characters. It's not that I don't want to, I have several black characters of varying importance in my book and two in my main cast. Of course I want to and will have black characters. I want to see us in roles outside of side characters or thugs and hoodlums. I want black characters with depth and so that's what I try to create.
ย  n my book, Eternal Essence, I set the stage for introducing a whole world of characters and ethnicities so of course black characters will be present but so will other melanated people of the world. I intend to publish stories from those other parts of my world as well. I just hope that not reading black characters won't deter black readers from my series or future stories.
ย  The second point, portraying relatable characters, is the second most annoying thing to stress about. It isn't just the media everyone else puts out that shows us as thugs and gangbangers in broken homes, but the media we put out as well. We write about messed up relationships between our people, we make the movies about the damage we do to ourselves and about the oppression we faced and the gang activities. And our people flock to them. I don't know that life therefore I cannot write that.
ย  I don't know about everybody else but that is some hard reality. I want to enjoy myself when I sit down to a movie or a book or a television show. White characters can be anywhere and be anything they want- I don't see that same imagination coming from a lot of black creators. If anyone comes across this blog post and have some black creators that don't encourage the stereotypes seen everywhere then please do share them. They aren't proudly flaunted like the others so I don't know much about them.
ย  In my stories I want to show healthy relationships with both black men and women. I want to show how tough love can be tough love without being blunt negativity with "good intentions". Black characters encouraging each other without any ties to one another- they just want to see the other succeed. That's what I am striving for.
ย  Point three is a tender one for me and the main annoying worry when it comes to writing. Personally, I want that black love with someone special and who can see the world the way our people see it which is so different from other ethnicities; however, the couples in my stories are not often of the same ethnicity. With this topic, I definitely understand the importance of seeing a black couple healthy and thriving. It's one-hundred percent goals but sometimes the character's relationships develop differently than planned.
ย  All of my couples so far are mixed. I won't spoil it for my book and say how, but I can say that most of them are melanated. If you follow my blog then you saw the picture I posted of a couple from a story I often share here, It's Not Fair That Our Stars Crossed. Raenya and Pyper are my one "swirl" couple. The world and time they live in is different from ours.
ย  Why would I let our troubles bother characters in a completely different universe? That's not very realistic.
ย  I know we are and always have been in a bad time with black and white tensions high, but I don't want that to influence my works. It sounds bad now even as I type it, but I don't intend for my stories to be social commentary. I want them to be registered more emotionally. Raenya and Pyper are my favorite couple to date because of the depth I'm building up in their relationship. I can't name the others because of spoilers but know that they are not the only couples and there will be all black/melanted couples coming as well.
ย  I think the last two points, having pro black/African themes go together and in a way I've already addressed these. There will be undertones, as I said, with character relationships and such but they will not play a heavy role in my stories. Whether or not I choose to make them themes in my writing I am representing my people by following through and publishing this book. I will be one more black author. My experiences will come through my characters and writings but it will not dominate my story telling because I do not write to say anything. I am writing to show something.
ย  I am black and therefore my blackness will show through my writing. I don't need to have all black characters, use African words or Egyptian names and I don't need to rehash the same tired stereotypes to make them relatable. My goal is to have characters relatable on an emotional level, not just trauma bonding.
ย  This is a bit of a rant and just getting my thoughts out about the stress I've been feeling for a long time now. Maybe it's all in my head but I'm just glad I can get it out.
