When I was in 香港 / Hong Kong, I had some of what has become one of my favorite styles of fried chicken, 大雞排（大鸡排）XXL Fried Chicken from 豪大 / Hot Star.

After coming back to the USA, my partner and I missed the chicken that we had and decided to make some for ourselves. The batter is made with tapioca and potato flour and is thus gluten-free. The spice on the chicken is a mixture of椒鹽（椒盐）/ spiced salt, paprika, 花椒粉 / Chinese "prickly ash,"五香粉 / chinese five-spice, and capsaicin powder.

This picture is from one of the most recent times that we made it at home, using chicken thighs instead of chicken breast.

The holiday season came to a close and the second semester was quickly approaching. Zach moved back into his dorm and prepared for his new classes. He got his job back at the original sub shop and he had ordered an XXL shirt that he was now wearing comfortably. He was determined to lose all of the extra weight he gained during Christmas break, and he got back in the gym. His tight gym clothes didn’t even cover his belly anymore, and his shorts were straining against his growing ass.

after only about 15 minutes of working out, Zach couldn’t stop himself from driving to McDonald’s and getting a large Big Mac meal. He was officially addicted to food and he hated it. How could he ever lose weight if he couldn’t stop himself from eating? Going to work later that night, Zach ordered his footlong Italian sub with everything on it, and he quickly scarfed it down. About an hour later, his manager asked him if he wanted a mess up sub that they were going to throw away. Zach hated to waste food, and it looked really good. He accepted the offer and tore through the second footlong. Zach left work stuffed, but he still had to attend a frat party that evening. There, he chugged beer like it was water, and gobbled up slice after slice of greasy pizza. When he eventually got back to his dorm, he took off his tight shirt and laid on his bed. He rubbed his stuffed belly and moaned a bit. His roommate Thomas took note of this and thought it was equally hilarious and sexy.

Thomas invited Zach out to dinner at his favorite restaurant and Zach thought it sounded great. He almost never got to hang out with his roommate, so this would be nice to catch up. At the restaurant, Thomas ordered a burger with some fries, and a coke. Zach ordered some fish, a personal pizza, some sliders, nachos, Mac and cheese, a buffalo chicken wrap, and a large cheesesteak. He washed it down with three large chocolate shakes, and a doctor pepper. Thomas was astonished. So was the waiter. When the food eventually arrived, Zach dug in. He gorged on the plates one by one, his shirt growing tighter with each bite. Thomas just munched on his burger and watched in amazement as he tried to cover up his boner. Zach finished before Thomas and leaned back in his chair. His shirt rode up to reveal his distended gut that had taken over his lap. As Zach rubbed his gut, he had a bit of a revelation. This belly wasn’t so bad. If he was able to pack away all that food with ease, why put that talent to waste.

a few months later, the semester was finally coming to a close. Thomas and Zach had been dating for three months now, and things were going great. Thomas loved to feed Zach and watch him grow, and Zach loved to eat. Thomas would make it an effort to get Zach full, but it always seemed like he could eat forever. Multiple doctors feared for Zach’s health but he was done caring. All he wanted to do was eat. The last time he had weighed himself, he was 328 pounds. That was almost a month ago however. He might be close to 350 now.

this has been my favorite story so far, as I took a lot of it from real life events. Let me know if I should ever revisit this story or updates if Zach in real life gets bigger.

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, 46551 Mission Blvd, Suite #105, Fremont, CA 94539

Shihlin recently opened inside the 99 Ranch Market in South Fremont. They’re known for their XXL crispy chicken ($10.50) but they also have rice boxes (aka rice plates), noodle soup, fried snacks, oyster omelettes, milk tea/tea, and Taiwanese shaved ice.

Grandma’s braised meat rice ($10.50): I used to think this was minced pork but according to the menu, it’s minced chicken. Since it’s very saucy and gravy like, it’s hard to tell. While it is very saucy, they also give you lots of steamed white rice, so the sauce helps add flavor to the rice. The sauce is slightly sweet but also has soy sauce – it’s nice – not too sweet and not too salty. Their braised tofu slices are tender. They also included fresh cilantro, pickled mustard greens, and half a soy egg. It’s filling and comforting.

Portions are generous. I ordered online and the food was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later. They also have a rewards program. Credit cards are accepted and they also have an iPad set up so you can place your own order there.

Chrys was on the run, a black medical mask hid her face. She broke into a home once she reached a nearby neighborhood, she looked around before noticing a large blonde man, she just silently watched him, waiting to see if he'd notice her. (Slasher!Chrys Au)

That guy doesn't seems to be older than 21 years. Loud geavy metal music blasts from the stereo while he sits there drawing something in absolute peace, not caring for anything in the world. She can see several chicken nuggets boxes (10 to 20 piece) at least 15 wrappers of some kind of burger and several portions of fries. Also 2 large cokes and the guy also half emptied an XXL thing of candy corn.

do you remember when yg asked nj about which sweats size he should get? what if he messed up and got nj's size instead.

they are just one size apart but they look so big on him. maybe he's on time to ask for a new pair, so he calls nj.

"i got the wrong size," he explains.

nj shrugs it off, blaming his overworking habits but also promises to fix it. so an hour later when someone rings on yg's studio door, he already knows who it is.

"how do you want them to fit if you keep skipping meals?" he says, handing him a big bottle of what nj swears is a protein shake.

better for yg to take care of his body while focusing on work. nj comebacks an hour later after workout to yg eating a big serving of fried chicken and unbuttoned pants.

little he knew this was all nj's special shake. vanilla flavoured weight gain shake with extra cream.

"i eat at work for once and it seems that my tummy didn't have enough," yg jokes embarrassed.

so this routine goes for a week till the only thing that fits him are those oversized sweats that are not so oversized anymore.

now with the daily shake, a full menu of take out follows. and it's so fascinating to watch yg struggle to stand up from his chair, and how his round cheeks bunch up with an exciting gummy smile every time the delivers ring on his door.

by the end of the month, yg is surprised by nj, who leaves the bags next to the desk and takes a chair from the studio next door. yg looks at him, confused.

"we have no time for lunch breaks, i'll feed you while you work," he simply says, taking out containers and containers of junk food.

yg side-eyes the food almost drooling and asks "isn't that too much food anyway?"

"nonsense. these would disappear in less than an hour with jungkøok." yg's tummy gurgles at the smell. "we've known each other for ten years now, just trust me."

"okay, but no talking."

yg reaches for the shake first, gulping audibly, purring at the sweet flavour and making his belly expand with each gulp.

nj watches, stopping from preparing the dishes to stare at the creamy drop stain yg's sweats.

bottle empty, yg throws it away in a bin that has a full collection of all the restaurants nearby. he pats his tummy, oblivious of how it fills the remaining space of his now ill fitting sweats.

the moment yg puts his headphones on, nj gets started with the fries. two at a time. by the third pack, he lays a little further on his seat, adjusting the weight of his full belly, caressing it.

then nj takes the nuggets out (better to feed than a burger) and dips them deep in sauce before reaching yg's already open mouth.

he didn't notice, but he hasn't touched the computer in so long that the screen is black, too lost in the greasy flavour and the tickle of the sauce dripping from his chin.

"that's right, hyung. eat up," nj encourages.

yg said no talking, but he can't help but whimper at that. "i think i'm getting a bit fat, but it feels so good, jøon-ah,,"

"you're getting sexy, and messy."

when the last box hit the bin, yg rubbed his tummy with urge and pleasure. his muffin top spilled from his sides even with the lace of his sweats unfastened like this.

not even his oversized tshirt fits at this point. too tight around his middle to even try to pull it down to cover his gut.

in the end, the next morning he found out that he still had to change the sweats for a size up. but not from a new hole nor a suspicious stain,  no. they shrinked. he fits in the sweats? yes. is he comfortable? not really.

"what is it, hyung?"

"i think i took j¡min's sweats by mistake."

"oh no, little catpig. the pair you're wearing is mine," nj confesses, slapping his belly to watch it wobble, "time to size up to XXL, hyung."

Nobara actually got lost in Harajuku station before meeting Itadori and Fushiguro for the first time. Nobara only processes emotions by yelling. Nobara does not feel pain. Ever since arriving in Tokyo, she has been scouted for several television shows. They were all makeover specials. Nobara has a personal grudge against the mirror in Shibuya’s UNIQLO store. She has a private photo folder in her phone dedicated to snaps of city lights, skyscrapers and Maki.  

Inumaki Toge

Inumaki likes to visit convenience stores to look for new onigiri flavours. He assigns expletives to a different flavour every week, and enjoys swearing at others without them realizing. His uniform collar serves a dual purpose of concealment when he sticks his tongue out at people he doesn’t like. Inumaki likes flirting. Inumaki secretly stocks up Yuta-senpai’s favourite snacks just before he returns from missions. Inumaki longs to be kissed (on his beautiful, cursed mouth). Panda

Panda’s favourite tv shows are Oprah and Japanese crime dramas. Panda reads religious texts on Shintoism in their free time. Panda’s third core is a koala. 

Maki Zenin

Maki once lost her glasses at a party and almost burned down an entire restaurant to look for it. Maki does not like spicy food because it makes her blush. Maki giggles at memes. She has timed crying breaks in the bathroom. Maki secretly names her cursed tools after her favourite celebrities. Maki always buys herself two birthday cake slices. 

Aoi Todo 

Todo drinks protein shakes more often than he would like to admit. He has never won Maki in an arm wrestling match. Todo’s IQ fluctuates between 80 and 155. He has only been part of Takada-chan’s fan club for 6 months. 80% of Todo’s memory is fabricated fantasy. Todo’s teary face has made both children and grown men cry, out of fear. His dream is to open a pancake house. 

Ijichi Kiyotaka

Despite his looks, Ijichi is skilled in Jujitsu and Aikido. He pre-orders extra sets of Itadori’s uniform every month. He has at least 3 Fast and Furious movie posters in his bedroom. He likes to daydream about being part of an A-list sorcerer team with Nanami, with Gojo as his personal chauffeur. Ijichi keeps a treat money jar for every time he feels slighted or overly stressed at work. To date, he has used the jar to visit 3 Michelin-star restaurants. 

Geto Suguru 

Geto developed a sweet tooth after enrolling in Jujutsu High. His first kiss was stolen by Gojo in a supply closet when they were both sixteen (the latter did it for fun). Geto was once dared to shave off all his hair and had to stifle a sob at the thought. Geto’s non-sorcerer disinfectant spray is coincidentally a rose-scented line of luxury cologne called Infinite Love. On a bad day, Geto finds himself indulging in dessert. 

Gojo Satoru

Mostly shameless, Gojo feels the most self-conscious with his eyes uncovered. Gojo gets turned on by an exquisite pair of sunglasses. Gojo doesn’t like drinking alcohol. Gojo once injected sugar into his blood, partly in jest, partly because he was curious. Gojo reads critical theory. Gojo uses SK-II facial treatment essence. Gojo likes reading fanfiction written about him. He keeps a scrapbook for deliberately ugly doodles of Jujutsu society’s higher ups. He is the owner of tabloid news twitter account @jujutsushits. He is also the owner of twitter account @RealNanamiKento. When he has a bad day, Gojo scrolls through old, defunct chats between him and Geto.  

Nanami Kento

Nanami has never suffered from hair loss problems. He earned a university degree after leaving Jujutsu High, where he majored in economics and minored in comparative literature. Nanami freelanced as a poet-writer for 2 months. He is so respectable in jujutsu society that he once sold (more like auctioned) his pair of men’s leather shoes for 500,000 JPY. The buyers were all women. He has a drawer of XXL condoms. He did not buy them (Gojo did). He keeps a slogan t shirt that reads ‘Hot Stuff’. He did not buy it (Haibara did). Nanami is fluent in 5 languages. Nanami’s hobbies are ironing his blue dress shirt and getting into existential crises. Nanami has an excel sheet detailing his weekly expenses titled ‘letsgetthisbread.exe.’ When embarrassed, Nanami is prone to hiccups.

Ryomen Sukuna

Sukuna has a personal list of ‘Top 10 Sukuna Badass Moments’ playing on loop in his head. He sings when Itadori is in the shower to spite him, but mostly because he likes the sound of his own voice. Sukuna has a bad memory, having been alive for more than a thousand years. Sukuna hates contemporary fashion, but has a fascination for Crocs. He prefers jazz to imperial court music. Sukuna delivers lengthy, oftentimes ultraviolent monologues to Itadori when he is bored. He thinks he would make a good university professor. Sukuna is still terrified of motorised vehicles.

@deathvalleyqueen omg so like I’m a bit of a kitchen gadget freak (I also have an instant pot) but I LOVE my air fryer. I waffled back and forth for ages myself and finally got one a couple months ago when we finally replaced our geriatric oven range and the new one we got didn’t have a convection feature

the thing I always tell folks is that it really isn’t meant to replace deep frying, it’s not the same depth of flavor. air fryers are just compact convection ovens so the fairer comparison would be to oven frying and it absolutely beats it. it’s faster because you don’t have to preheat (at least the model I have) and the food cooks a lot more evenly. stuff it does really well is any kind of frozen ready made finger food (fries, tendies, etc) but it’s incredibly versatile. It’s fantastic with any kind of veg you would roast too. And like my instant pot it’s a god send for low spoon days. My depression meals are a lot healthier when all I have to do is throw chicken breasts and baby carrots in there with some seasoning for like 15 minutes.

The only thing that sucks is having to cook stuff in batches because I have one of the basket style fryers (mine is a Philips digital XXL model, not the current one but one gen back). But I have a little rack that I can use to essentially double the capacity. If you’re just cooking for 1 or 2 people it’s great. If more than you might want to look into the air fryers that are more like toaster ovens. Mine is super easy to clean too, everything is dishwasher safe and I just use Barkeeper’s Friend on the outside.

(Also don’t believe the lies about oil free cooking, I mean you can but the food won’t brown nearly as well. Cooking sprays are fine, I have a few different ones, but I just toss food with less oil than I normally would use)

The rooftop (covered) botanic bar is back open with 3 food vendors to choose from; @saltshed, @wildcardrestaurant and Izakaya (@temakibros). @wildcardrestaurant are bringing the burgers, from a double bacon cheese, to a buttermilk fried chicken, halloumi, or seitan. You have to pair one up with their amazing Parmesan truffle fries. @temakibros give you the choice of gyoza and Bao. I went for the spicy fried chicken and the slow cooked pork belly Bao, which I liked a lot, especially the pork belly. Then last up is @saltshed who I am very familiar with, focusing here on their steak and pastrami. You’ve got to get the XXL beef steak with chips. Those beef juices soak nicely into the chips and give them such a beefy taste. Cocktails are nice too! Plus they also do bottomless brunch with Prosecco and aperol spritz, which I didn’t know about. I was a big fan of the Shihlin location in Milpitas but the last time I went and ordered the XL chicken cutlet, the breading kept falling off the chicken. The Milpitas location was Shihlin’s first in the US. They now have a few locations in the Bay Area, including one inside the Stonestown Galleria food court.

Shihlin serves Taiwanese street food. Place your order from the iPad they have and you’ll get a number. They’ll call your number when your order is ready.

They’re best known for their XXL crispy chicken steak (breast or leg & thigh, $10.50). Other items include rice boxes, chicken rice, noodles, snacks, shaved ice, and drinks (e.g., milk tea, plum juice, smoothies). The XXL chicken and popcorn chicken are fried to order. You can specify how much seasoning and chili powder you’d like. The seasoning powder has salt, pepper and other spices.

Popcorn chicken ricebox ($15): This was a lot of food! Including steamed white rice with ground pork in a savory soy based sauce on top (not too salty, good amount of meat), broccoli and carrots (simple but I liked how they still had a bit of crunch), soft tofu in a savory sauce, ½ a tea egg, and big pieces of tender popcorn chicken with fried basil. Very tasty! The breading didn’t fall off the chicken this time.

My order was ready pretty quickly considering that they fried the chicken to order. They have a rewards program. Credit cards accepted. SF adds an extra 3% charge for takeout orders.

Nestled in the corner between Gin & Wines and My Wines, we find the latest offering that Chatham Counterguard has to give us; Vault 13.

“From old foundations to new beginnings” 

Having transformed itself from the Wright Tech Media premises into a small plates and cocktail bar, has been a giant step for William Wright, proprietor.  

The vault, restored to original brick and stone, provides a unique setting with subtle overhead lighting in blue and lilac hues, reflecting the handcrafted wooden tables with cobalt blue centres.     The glass wall at the end of the vault showcases the kitchen area – an approach which always inspires cleanliness and confidence in diners.

From the opening on 5th August, they have been running with a soft launch menu of open faced tostas, small plate dishes, salads and meat dishes; quite a generous list with a simple cheese and charcuterie selection.

Many dishes on the menu will be familiar such as prawns al pil-pil and huevos rotos which, even though delicious, can be found on menus along the strip but there are many other dishes worth a try – the staff are always friendly and on hand to talk you through any dishes you might not be sure about.

We ordered the chicharrones whilst we looked through the menu.  These were man-sized, home made pork scratchings.  Crispy, aerated, puffed, pork-scented bites.  Personally, I would have preferred them to be saltier to be the perfect accompaniment with an ice cold beer!

On various occasions, I have now ordered the pulled pork tosta with spicy mayo and chicharrones which is one of my favourite bites.  The tender pulled pork, laced with asian flavours of soy, star anise and topped with a mini version of the chicharrones mentioned above; a pork-flavoured Quaver.

The pork belly bao bun with pickled cucumber and spicy mayo is also another of my regular choices.  The bao bun light and fluffy, every bite yielding through to the asian-flavoured pork belly.  The pickled cucumber providing texture and acidity to the earthy flavours of star anise and soy.

The round red prawn croquettes are a friend’s favourite and she always orders them – presented in a ceramic egg carton; each golden sphere sitting on a dollop of aioli, however, sometimes the aioli has been decoratively sat on top of the croquette.   Size of the croquettes has also been inconsistent, fluctuating from XXL (a two biter) to M (pop in the mouth size) – there needs to be greater consistency in execution and presentation.

I never got to try the sticky toffee pudding which I have been told, “Is to die for!” So much so, that the person in question actually orders these to take home at the end of the meal.

I’ve also been told that there is a “Cocktail of the Week” – Raspberry Gin Fizz and Sweet Dreams being popular amongst those who’ve tried them but I have never seen this on their menu nor been encouraged/offered these on any of the occasions I have been to Vault 13.  Perhaps something that can be thought about for the future.  Put up some posters at the entrance encouraging people to request the cocktail of the week or ask people if you can get them a taster glass of the Cocktail of the Week (at a reduced price) whilst they look through the menu – just a suggestion.

Also, I was not impressed and will not abide my glass being taken off me during a meal and replaced by a single-use plastic cup because the fear is that I may disappear with it to another bar along the strip.  As someone enjoying an evening dining with grown-ups I felt that this was perhaps out of place and inappropriate for a restaurant.  

Operate this policy for people who pop in to buy a drink rather than diners who are sat at tables.

There is much to enjoy at Vault 13.  I especially liked trying different dishes to what can be found elsewhere on the strip and other restaurants around Gibraltar.  I particularly like their Asian inspired small plates and hope to see this idea evolve into others: Asian popcorn shrimp bao, chicken teriyaki with sesame seed bao, fried chicken with smashed avo, pulled hoisin duck bao with cucumbers and spring onions – the list is endless.

I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for Vault 13;  how William and his team continue to grow and develop their menu and the service they provide and how once the training wheels are taken off, their soft launch becomes a full (hard) launch with a full menu.

I’ll definitely return – after all, who can keep me away from those delicious pulled-pork tostas?!
