Proposal

So... Uh... I've seen Lumity proposals that are sweet but looking at Luz and Amity, I have a feeling they would have a proposal go completely wrong. So here's my version.

Keep in mind I'm an idiot

Luz want to propose to Amity, but she wants it to be perfect so she's a nervous wreck. She's debating weither to have it happen in the human world or in the boiling isles. She asks Willow and Gus for help and they're arguing with each other. Gus is saying to do it in the human world and Willow is telling her to do it in the boiling isles. Luz goes with Willows idea because she knows Amity more. So she goes looking around and tries to find a place where she thinks is the most romantic and most fun. She finds a poster on the wall that says "Come to the carnival of the year." Of course Luz sees that and thinks thats the perfect place to go so she buys two reservation tickets. She calls Amity and tells her if they can go on a date. Amity gladly agrees and asks whats the occasion. She asks that cause there has been times where Luz asks to go on a date and its actually because she need help from her powerful girlfriend with something. Luz is struggling with what to tell her and tries to make an excuse of they haven't been together because of work even tho they saw each other 2 days ago. So Amity agrees and they agree to meet up at the owl house. The day comes and Luz is freaking out. She thinks she's gonna mess it up and that there might be a possibility that Amity says no. Eda is trying to confort her but she doesn't really have much to say. Amity knocks on the door and hooty opens up. Luz tries to remain calm but kinda fails.

Luz: HEY AMITY HOW ARE YOU DOING CARIÑO. YOU LOOK NICE

Amity: ...Um I'm good. How are you?

Luz: PFF I'M FINE

Amity: Ok. If you say so

So they fly to the carnival and Amity is concerned because Luz is being more weird than usual, which is kinda saying something. They get there and try to see what rides to go on first. Suddenly Luz hears someone call her name. She turns around and sees Willow and Gus. She starts to panic a little because it was supposed to be a only her and Amity thing. Amity also wanted it to just them thing but she's not entirely sure weither Luz wants to hangout with them to or not. Willow and Gus start to leave so they could have some alone time, but they keep seeing each other. Luz is scared because she didn't want to do it in front of an audience. She sees a ferris wheel and immediately thinks thats where she wants to propose. They go on a few rides and eat. Luz tries to win a few prizes for Amity. Amity is loving it and her Luz. The carnival is about to close and Luz tries to get Amity to the ferris wheel as fast as she can. Amity is confused but goes with Luz anyway. They get there and the ferris wheel is closed. Luz finds the person who operates it and tries to bribe him to let them go on. He refuses and Luz is sad. The whole time they're arguing, Amity is super confused. Its not like her to try to bribe someone for something as small as a ferris wheel ride. Amity tries to calm down Luz before she does anything stupid. They leave and Luz just looks super sad on the walk to the blight manor. Amity doesn't know why so she asks while trying to lighten the mood.

Amity: Y'know, I don't think I've seen you ever get worked up over a ride before

Luz: I'm sorry. I just wanted this day to be special

Amity: Hey it was special. All of our dates are special

Luz: Yeah but I wanted today to be extra special

Amity: I know. I can tell

*kisses Luz on the cheek*

Amity: Well today was fun

The entire time they're talking Luz doesn't know weither to ask the question or not. They get to the blight manor, Amity starts to head towards the gate until Luz grabs her hand. Amity stops and looks at Luz who looks nervous af.

Luz: Hey. The reason why I wanted today to be special was because I wanted to ask you something

Amity looks really confused. The whole entire day Luz has been acting weird but she never understood why. Luz starts to break into a sweat. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small black box. She gets down on one knee and asks the question she has been dying to ask since she first liked Amity.

Luz: Amity Blight. Will you make the happiest witch alive and marry me?

Amity is in shock. It all made since now. Thats why she was nervous. Thats why she was acting weird. She stood there surprised not knowing what to say. She finally got herself to together and answered the question.

Amity: Yes. Absolutely

Luz gets up and hugs Amity. She gives her a passionate kiss on the lips. They break away so Luz can put the ring on Amity's finger. They stand ther hugging each other

Luz: You have no idea how stressful today was for me

Amity: I'm sorry. It must've been real hard for you.

Luz: IT WAS. But it was all worth it.

Amity: I bet

fair warning this post is ranty and im not being explicit or anything but its kind of just a fuckin dump of a bunch of words man

1. Do you have an inner world? If yes, is it something you consciously made? What is your inner world like?

i do have one, kinda. its something i had to work on in therapy, and its really just like… brain organization. ive always kind of had ‘places’ and rooms in my head id kind of just pop off to em or theyd feel associated when i tried to look for someone else if that makes sense, but my work helped me to put them together into a place i could imagine and navigate and it helped me learn a lot about my system

i ended up figuring out a lot about structure because of placement and organization of this inner space and it helps us communicate sometimes even though it can be hard

inside i dont really wanna go over all of it because a lot of its pretty closely trauma linked or personal

but youve got a kinda central square that goes off in four directions and im gonna be 100% honest i only know whats in one and it goes down this alley thats got a kind of apartment area, go further and theres a weird carnival thing that isnt like a carnival you have fun at but like if an actual carnival had all the usefulness of a cardboard cutout 99% of the time and heres where the fucked up part of the trauma comes in its populated by scary ass clowns and a guy whos stuck in a memory/flashback of being on xanax

anyway that was a lot theres also a forest that has a field behind it and a safe place to imagine is imagining the inside of the house there

theres a mountain that makes me feel like im gonna cry but also really peaceful for some reason when i think about it

theres a view off in the distance i like to speculate about but it makes me head hurt because its walled off mentally

idk its not like fun or interesting or anything its just how i organize my parts system and try to communicate theres a lot more but id rather not delve into that neverending pit of deeply personal intimate shit my partner doesnt even get to know about

man this is already long

3. Do you experience your disorder as overt or covert? What does that mean to you?

it depends on who you ask and when

i think its pretty overt and shit takes effort as fuck to hide from people especially when i dont like people knowing pretty much ever except in recovery spaces and this kind of shit or if theyre extremely extremely close and then they only get a little bit as a treat

we rapid switch a lot because this system has a shitload of fragments and we all do the worst job ever at being stable or agreeing on anything, and everyone in general likes to be fucking loud as fuck whenever theyre around and something isnt going their way

this causes a lot of problems when im trying to look normal or think or do anything and i have others out loud literally making shushing noises at each other and telling each other to shut up.

i guess its also pretty overt in my opinion because a lot of us have pretty noticeably different postures dispositions facial expressions voices opinions you name it

its that sexy high degree of separation for me baby making therapy harder whenever possible

yeah so anyway this turned into a huge fuckin rant sorry but thats a lot about my system

Sero X Kaminari ghost au

Here's a fanfic idea I won't do anything with but I hope you enjoy!

Sero lives an average life. Average job, average looks, average apartment, etc. But he likes it like that.

The only really exciting thing in his life is his friends: Mina, Kirishima, and Bakugou.

They go out every Saturday night. Tonight being Mina's turn to choose what they do.

They go bar hopping for a bit until they get lost along the way and end up in front of a fortune tellers shop.

It being Mina's night to choose what they do demands that they get their futures read.

So they go in and do exactly that. Kirishima and Bakugo get told something about love making them blind, Mina gets told that she will excel at her new job (and upon request will be successful in love as well).

Oddly enough they all also get told that they will grieve the lost of someone they all hold dear soon.

Then Sero goes expecting the same but the old lady that has been telling their fortunes almost freezes the moment he sits down

"You will have a boring life full of disappotment and loneliness."

"That's nice"

The old lady quickly grabs what looks like a necklace that has a small obsidion rock with golden lines running through it like lighting.

She buts the necklace in Sero's hand and says he must keep it on him at all times if he wants a chance of having an exciting and fulfilling life.

He tries to leave without it but she says thats its free and he needs to take it. So he does.

Over the next week of wearing the necklace he notices some werid things happening.

And by werid I mean that he is now being haunted by what looks like a blond ghost his age in clothes from hundreds of years ago.

Sero tries to ignore it to see if it will go away but he won't stop talking.

"Hi! My names Kaminari Denki and I need you to help me cross over to the after life!"

"No thanks dude, I think I'm good."

But Kaminari won't leave him alone and keeps messing with his lights, throwing things off his shelf, messing with his TV, etc.

Its driving him crazy! Denki even follows him to his job! He can't take it any more. He wants him to leave him alone!

Sero's friends start to notice his werid behavior as well and don't hesitate to let him leave their next saturday outing early for "personal" reasons.

"Why do you keep following me, huh!? Why can't you see that I don't want to help you and instead bother someone else with your problems?"

"My soul is trapped in the necklace you're wearing...I have to go where ever it goes."

Denki continues to try and apologize for the trouble he has caused. He says that he was only trying to help him but Sero doesn't want to hear it anymore. He takes off the necklace and chucks it into the tree line.

And with that. Sero walks off and is free from the annoying little ghost. His apartment is quiet, all of his stuff is organized, and he actually has a productive day at work!

But its almost to quite now. His apartment dosen't feel as lived in and he has nothing to distract him when his work gets slow.

He soon realizes that he was a little harsh on the ghost that just asked for his help. So he goes back for him.

He goes back to where he thinks he tossed the necklace and begins to search but he can't find the necklace anywhere. He's panicking now becuase he thinks he just lost Kaminari for forever.

"Did you drop something young man?"

Its the old lady from the fortune telling. She has the necklace in her hand and scolds Sero for not taking better care of his things.

Once Sero gets back home he puts the necklace back on and can immediately see Denki again. He apologizes for what he did and asks if he would still like his help in finishing his unresolved buisness.

Kamianri of course agrees with his 100 watt smile and Sero can't help but bask in the light.

The mood is almost immediately ruined though when kamianri admits that he dosen't know what his unfinished buisness is.

Time to call in the moral support!

Sero calls over Mina, Kirishima, and Bakugo to explain why his been acting weird and for their help in freeing Denkis soul.

"So remeber that necklace that ildy lady gave me, yeah it kinda huanted and the ghost needs our help."

"Bullshit!"

After Denki reveals himself and their shock wears off, they get down to buisness.

They ask Denki about his life and how he died to see if that could be any clue to why he hasn't moved on yet.

"Well I died from being struck by lighting..."

"Thats kinda manly..."

Denki tells them that he was tied to a metal poll during a thunder storm and left to die becuase the people of his town thought he was a demon in disgues.

They basically find out that he didn't have a life full of friends or fun and died to young to truly experience anything so they decide to go on adventures so that Denki could actually "live" a little.

They take him to the mall, site seeing, carnival, museums, game nights (Denki figures out that he can possess a controller and actually play with them) and even to the bars

All of them get closer to him and he feels like the finale piece of the puzzle making their little group whole.

Once Denki learns that it is socially acceptable to date the same sex, he becomes Minas wingman at the bar. Literally ghost pushing girls into her arms or stealing their items for Mina to "find" and give back

Kaminari is determined to make Kirishima and Bakugo confess their obvious feels for eachother. He give Kirishima peptalks about how they have the actual ability to be together and gives him old English poems to recite to Bakugo. Denki gives Bakugo plenty of time to confess his feeling by some how always getting the two of them alone. Whether that's sticking them in an broken elevator or locking them in rooms.

But now that the gang can see Kaminari, they can easily tell that Sero is his favorite person to help. He follows him at work making sure that his coffe cup is always in reach, holding elevator doors open so he dosen't have to take the stairs, catching stakes of papers before they can fall off his desk, etc. He does it so seamlessly that they don't even think Sero notices his actions.

After a few months of hanging out together the group is once again out on another Saturday night. They have already hit a couple bars and are now walking through the park.

Mina is texting the girl Denki helped hook her up with, Bakugo is hold Kirishimas hand as he drags them to a swing set.

Sero walks over to a pond off to the side. He dosen't even have to look to know Kamianri has followed him and is floating next to him.

Sero can't help to notice how pretty Kamianri looks in the moonlight making him look like he is glowing, but also solid. Like hes a real person.

"So, do you think that we are any closer to you crossing to the otherside?"

Denki shakes his head no and Sero mentally sighs in relief.

They watch their friends laugh behind them and Denki smiles. He's so happy that they found and are with the love of their lives.

Denki frowns at the thought.

"I didn't tell you the whole truth of how I died."

Sero turns to Denki completely as he tells his story again but this time he says why he was left to die by his towns people.

"I don't know how, but they found out that I didn't like women. Were I'm from... liking men is a sin or the act of the devil so...they thought it was best to get rid of me and cleans their town of evil."

Sero never wished so badly that he could touch Kaminari and pull him into a hug.

"That wasn't right of them. I'm sorry you had to go through that...but while you're here you are free to like whoever you want."

"What if...what if I like you?"

Sero pauses only for a second before smiling the biggest smile in his life.

"Well...seeing as how I kinda fell for you, I would accept your feeling for me."

Kaminari has a shy smile on his face and asks if Sero could close his eyes for a second.

Sero does without hesitation and its not long after he feels what could only be described as phantom lips on his.

When the pressure on his lips leaves his, he opens his eyes to see Denki moving way from him. And see as he starts fading away.

Denki looks at his hand then up at Sero with big water eyes. Or maybe thats Seros eyes. He can't really tell in the moment.

Denki gives him one last smile before thanking him for everything and then disappears from existance.

Sero tries to grab him but its useless. He's gone. He turns and walks back to his friends.

When he finally reach them and they ask where Denki is, he finally allows himself to cry.

They end their Saturday night outing in Seros apartment all cuddled together and mourning the loss of their friend.

Some more time has passed and no one has really recovered from Kaminari's abrupt departure. Mina, Bakugo, and Kirishima try to keep a brave face on for Sero's sake but they all feel the loss.

Because all things happen on Saturday, the gang decides to go on a walk around town as their activity. Mina brought her girlfriend along so now Sero has somehow become the 5th wheel and is not fan of this revelation.

His sad boy hours are cut short though when he is suddenly hit by a guy caring a box.

They both go to the ground with the box opening and spilling everything around them.

The guy immediately starts to ask if Sero is okay and if he needs help getting up, but Sero can't respond in that moment because he is staring at Kaminari. A Kaminari that he can touch!

The gang by this point is also staring and watching this guy ramble on about being new in town and helping his grandmother with some errands exactly like how THEIR Kamianri would ramble without a breath in between.

Kirishima finally breaks the spell and helps the guy pick the stuff up and asks if he would like help caring the stuff to his grandmothers.

The guy agrees and then introduces himself as Denki.

Sero can't talk or function right now. He is so confused but also filled with so much happiness he thinks that he's going to burst.

"I know I just met you guys but, I feel like I known all of you from somewhere... maybe we were friends in our past lives!"

They all laugh off the comment as they come up to a familiar hole in the wall shop that started this entire journey.

Denki greets the old women with his 100 watt smile as he introduces everyone to his grandma.

The women just gives them all knowing smiles as she ask for Sero and Denki to put the boxes into the back room.

They quickly put the boxes away. Sero had to stand behind Denki to put his on the top shelf and he couldn't help but notice the blush spreading on the others face before joining the group back outside.

The old women informs Denki that these lovely people have volunteered to show him around town and even invited him to go bar hopping with them.

Denki agrees immediately and Sero can't help but be thankful that his boring life got interrupted by the ball of sunshine now walking next to him.

The smell of coffee in the morning mixed with Arthurs voice humming a Sinatra song was the best way to start in the day. There was always a song hanging on his lips. Oh those lips, you couldnt wait to kiss them in about a minute, when he`ll get back in bed with you, sharing his Murray Franklin show cup. There was no need for two different cups. You both loved to share everything with each other. Even the little things like a hot cup of coffee to get the sleepiness out of your bones.

"Good morning, my love" he said when he came back from the kitchen, placing a sloppy kiss on your mouth, the sweetest  smile on his face. His bed hair was one of those things you couldnt ever get enough of. It made you feel so at home seeing him like that. It made him look even more vulnerable.

You took a sip and put the newspaper away. Arthur grabbed it and started reading the news. "Seems like Gotham is in trouble again. What else is new?" he said. His puppy eyes staring at the pages.

You felt the warm coffee down your throath, it tasted even better knowing that Arthur made it for you. " So sad....but you know what?" you handed him the cup "I just read something else on page three. There will be a circus on Amusement mile today. And I was wondering if you want to go there with me? Arthur lit himself a cig and leaned back "You think so? I know most clowns here in Gotham. Most of them are hired ones. HaHas`s used to work for Amusement mile,too." he closed his eyes "...but....sure...if you wanna go and have a look. I`m always up for a surprise. I mean, you never know, right? He was right. The only nice people you met in Gotham was tourists. The citizens of this city seemed cold hearted and rude. Growing up in this block must have been hell for a sweet soul like Arthur.

Arthur blew out the smoke "Yeah...why now? But maybe I should put on a costume or something. I`m sure Randall and his friends will go there too and I dont want them to ruin our day. " There was a subtile sadness in his voice while he said so. You didnt knew that Randall was still picking on him. But appearently he did. "Oh I havent thought of that, Artie. Look, if you dont wanna go its okay. We can just stay home. It will be just as nice."

He took a deep drag of his cigarette "Oh. No it`s fine. I wanna go there with you,too. It will be great to go to the city. We`ll walk down the streets and I`ll be holding your hand, showing everyone around that you are my girl." he grinned. "I just dont my work mates to come up to us. You lay your head upon his chest and pulled him closer "So what are you thinking of. They will also recognize you in your Carnival costume".

"I know" you moved to reach his right collarbone and did the same. Arthur stroke your hair  "I was thinking about wearing the red suit maybe. And the Joker make up."

His words surprised you. "Really? You haven`t put your Joker outfit on for like...a year or two?" He nodded "Or even longer. But I dont know...Today I feel like it. I mean...if thats okay with you. I understand if you dont feel comfortable with me wearing the...."

Your kiss interuppted his words "Of course thats totally fine with me. However you feel, sweetheart."

He took you deeper in his arms "There is no particular reason behind it. I just need a costume in which they won`t recognize me from a distance. And I feel like wearing red today. So....dont worry about anything, okay? "

"Okay" you kissed him again. The taste of coffee and cigs still lingering on the corner of his lips.

"When is it starting?" he asked.

"I guess it already has been started half an hour ago."

"Oh. Wanna get ready?" he jumped out of bed with excitement as you agreed, disappearing in the bathroom. You could hear his steps. He was dancing around to the music in his head. Brushing his bed hair. "Hey baby, wanna help me dying my hair?"

You didnt hesitate to enter the bathroom and get the bottle with the green hair dye. Arrthur sat down, humming a song you didnt recognized. "What song is it?" you asked while you started to put the color in his hair. "It just came to me a minute ago" he said in his dreamy voice "Maybe I should play it on my ukulele. It`ll be perfect for it". Your fingers seperated his curls from one another, making sure to get every strain colored in.  "Oh, I would definitely love to hear it. Maybe you could even sing". Arthur shrugged "I`m not a great singer". "Yes you are!" you now put your fingers into his curls. So soft to the touch. Arthur always claimed to not be a good singer, but you have heard him so many times, you knew he had a wonderful singing voice. Maybe he was just fishing for compliments, which was just as cute. "C`mon, Artie. You could sing it to me wehile I`m helping you with your Joker make up. How does that sound?" he chuckled "Okay, okay. You won!"

You put the hair dye beside "Done. Now lets get the watercolor make up. Where did yo put it?"

"By the big mirror" he said.

"Oh, of course, gimme a sec" you headed for the make up and a weird feeling overcame you as you touched it.  You couldnt tell what it was about but it was there.

Back to the bathroom Arthur held his ukulele. The surprised look on your face amused him "Where does that came from? I was just out of the room for like....a minute".

"It`s magic" he blinked at you, starting to pull the strings.

"I really wanna hear it. But I cant put your make up on while you`re playing an instrument, sweety".

"Try it"

"I will, but don`t complain if it looks all messy afterwards"

"I wouldnt mind" he smirked. "It will look messy later today anyway. After I kissed you so hard the make up wouldnt stand a chance."

You put as much make up on as possible while his face was moving. Hearing his beautiful voice made it so hard to concentrate.

"Thats a beautiful song, Arthur. I really, really love it" he put the ukulele away. "That was all i needed to hear to feel better, now I will make it easier for you." He leaned back and closed his eyes while you did his lips. The crisp edges on the corner of the fake smile,the shapes around his eyes.  You already felt the urge to kiss those red lips and ruin your work. What a marvel he was. A true piece of art.

After you were done he rinsed out his hair and looked into the mirror. You catched him looking at himself. There was still so much sadness inside of him. Hidden behind all of this. But you also saw the difference since you started dating. He wasnt as sad as he used to be anymore. It was a different kind of sadness. A transformed one. One that was much easier to carry on his fragile shoulders.

His reflection stared back at him, unsure of who he actually is.

"Can you get me the suit? Its on the left side in my wardrobe"

"Oh, of course" you headed to the bedroom and caught him still staring at himself as you got back. "Here it is" you handed him the Joker outfit, like he used to call it.

"Thanks Y/N." he changed his clothes without saying a word. He also did it very slowly, like he put much thought into this kinda transformation. He needed to feel it. To get into the mood.

After he put on the last sock he turned to you "How do I look?"

"Stunning" your hand touched his "Breathtaking".

He smirked before he checked the mirror again "I dont know....something doesnt feel quite right....whatever. Never mind. Lets just go. C´mon. Get your clothes. We`re gonna have a good day anyway."

He took you under his arm and kissed you on the forehead. His kiss felt almost light hearted, which surprised you after the way he looked at his own reflection.

Amusement mile was as crowded as expected. Serveral street artist such as painters, dancers ,musicians, athletes and small animals filled the place. And clowns. A lot of them. Most of them in bright colored costumes.

"Oh, these are a lot of clowns" Arthur said, sqeezing your hand. "But only one of your kind". He smiled and leaned in to kiss you. Compliments still made him happy as a lttle boy on christmas eve. "Are you feeling good, Artie?"

"I am. Yeah. I actually am. "

"So good to hear. Should I....call you Joker now?"

The sweetest smile lingered on his lips "Nahhh. No need to. To you am am still Arthur. But....you can call me Joker later tonight...if you know what I am talking about...." the smirk grew.

"I would like that. I cant wait to ruin your make up".

Arthur stopped and took your face in his hands "Admit it. Thats whay you put it on by yourself in the first place. Because it will be so much fun to ruin it." His stare weakened your knees within seconds.

"Maybe..."

Arthur put his lips on yours, moving his mouth gently from side to side before he parted your lips with his tongue, allowing you to taste him.

You walked down the street with him, your head still spinning from his kiss. Arthur stopped by te piano man and carefully listened. You could feel his body moving, even though it was barely visible. You felt him vibing next to you. The music finding its way in and out of him. "C`mon abby, dance with me" he raised your hands and started to spin you around in circles, pulling you close to his chest "Youre my one and only. You know that right?" "Dito!" you replied, stroking his green hair. He was so incredibly beautiful it hurt.

"Wanna check out the clowns?"

You nodded "Yeah, we just have to cross the street, they`re right over there" you pointed at the graffity wall before you both headed over.

Arthur watched a clown doing a magic trick with a little girl. She took a card from him and giggled. You could tell that Arthurs heart filled with love immediately. He loved kids. And he loved to make them laugh. "See how her eyes shine? Thats the best part of my job" he said in his soft tone.

"I wish I could show her a trick,too. But I`ve got nothing with me. I`m not Carnival today, right?"

"Right. But I guess you can still mae her laugh. I mean, you know some great jokes."

He lit himself a cigartette "You think so?"

"I do"

"I know some jokes for kids....maybe you`re right. I should ask her if she wants to hear some" he inhaled the smoke, looking like a painting thats hanging in a museum. Sometimes it was hard to belive that he was actually real.

Arthur waited on the sidewalk until the magic trick has been done, snipped his cig away and walked up to the little girl. You followed him and couldnt await to hear the joke he would  tell her.

Suddenly the lttle girl started to run. Arthur really wanted to tell her a joke, so he ran after her.

"Hey, you" he yelled. The girl stopped, looking at him with big eyes. "I was wondering if.....you would like to hear a joke." Now you catched up too. Standing right beside him and her.

The kid pointed at him "You`re a fast runner".

Arthur smiled "Thank you. You are pretty fast,too. I almost didnt catch you" he blinked.

"I would like to hear a joke Mr. Clow.n." she giggled.

"You can call me Joker" he replied making a majestic gesture.

"Joker! Thats such a funny name"

"Yeah?"

"Mmmhh hmm"

Arthur kneed down to her "Okay here`s one...Whats colorful and stuck between an elephants feet?"

"I have no idea Joker" she shook her head and waited for the punchline.

"A slow clown" Arthur tried not to laugh at his own joke, which was always hard for him.

The little girl chuckled "Thats a funny one."

"See?" he said "Thats why it`s so important to be fast".

She started laughing even more "I like your make up, Joker".

"Thank you, sweety. Whats your name?"

"I`m  Aly"

"Hello Aly. So...where are your parents?"

She turned around "Somewhere over there. Í`m not sure. I stopped to see the magician and when I turned around they were gone."

Arthur looked at me "Oh no! We should try to find them. I guess they are already looking for you." You nodded and so did the little girl.

He took her by the hand and you headed into the direction she said her family went. The streets were so crowded it was hard to find someone. "How do your parants look like?" you asked and she gave a discription "Alright, we`re gonna find them, I promise" Arthur said.The little girl smiled "I know, Joker. I`m not scared or something. I know they aren`t far. They never go far. But....will you stay with me until we found them?"

"Sure, sweetheart. You are very brave." he replied in his sweetest voice.

Your heart melted seeing him with the kid. he was the kindest soul. Always thinking about others, while his whole life no one ever thought about protecting him.

All of the sudden the angry voice of a man appeared close behind us.

"Stop!" he yelled "Stop him!"

You and Arthur turned around immediately. All went so fast.

The stranger threw himself against Arthur. He fell to the ground and so did Aly.She started to cry from hurting her knee. The stranger slapped Arthur in the face "How dare you!" he yelled.

"Let go of him? What are you doing? Let him go!" you screamed as he punched Arthur one more time.

Arthur tried to cover his head with his hands "Stop it, please." he begged.

The man let go of him and stood up, while Arthur was still lying on the ground. You kneed down to him, stroking his hurting cheek "Oh my god, darling, are you okay?" he nodded "Yeah".

Aly was crying hard watching this. The man standing tall in front of us "You fucking circus freak. I saw what you just did. You tried to kidnap the little girl".

"What?" you helped Artie to get up. His Joker make up was smeared.

"God no. She lost her parents in the crowd and I wanted to help her find them...." he tried to explain.

"Its true" you threw in  "How dare YOU to punsh my boyfriend in the face without even knowing the whole story?"

The man looked at both of you with disgust in his face "I know freaks like the two of you. You go to these events to harass people."

"Dont call him a freak" you felt the anger rising inside of you and took a step closer to the man.

He ignored you and got up to Arthur to spit him in the face.

Arthur looked shocked. He wiped the spit away and tried to get a look at Aly. She was gone.

"Look what you did!" he yelled to the rude man`s face "She`s gone now. If she doesnt find her parents now it`s your fault, you fucker!"

"What did you just called me?"

Arthur took a step closer to him. They faced each other now. The tension between them was terrible. You just felt that something bad would happen.

You turned around to get a glimpse of Aly, but there was no chance to make her out in the crowd.

"I said you are a fucker!" Arthur yelled to his face "This little girl needed help. And I was there. I just wanted to tell her a joke in the first place"

"Artie?" you tried to sound calm, hoping he would calm down too. "Maybe its better to ignore him. We should go now" you touched his arm.

"No, its okay Y/N. I got this."

The man laughed at his face "A joke huh? I will tell you a joke right now". His fist hit Arthur right in the stomach, so hard he once again fell to the ground. That stranger was much taller and bigger than him. It looked like Artie couldnt stand a chance against him. A kick. And another.

You watched out for the police. Nothing. All the people just passed by without even looking at him.

"You still want to tell jokes now?" the man asked, while Arthur stood up again.

"Arthur are you okay? Please darling, lets just go home, okay?"

He kissed you on the forehead "I`m fine. Don`t worry about me, okay? Its just....a scratch. I will take care of him".

He turned back to the man and reached down his pocket "I think I`ve got a special joke for you".

The man laughed. It sounded kinda evil. "I`m sure you do. Because you are the joke after all. Right? I mean look at you. You are not even a real clown. What is this outfit and make up?  I`m sure under all this face paint hides a scared little boy who is crying for his mommy to take care of him."

You could tell from Arturs eyes that this one hit him right in the feels. He swallowed hard. He tried not to let it show but you knew him so well.

"Whats the similarity between a bag of chips and a gun?" his crisp smirk looked so intense.

The man rolled his eyes.

"When you pull one out, everybody wants to be your friend" Arthur pulled out the gun.

You didnt even knew he got it with him.

For a second there you held your breath.

The man started to shake "Dude, listen...."

"I know" Arthur chuckled "I`m a funny guy."

"Arthur. Please. Lets just go home" you begged. You couldnt stand the thought of this situation to escalate. What if Arthur got hurt?

He looked at you in the softest way possible while the gun was still pointed at the man. He held it ow enough for no one to notice. People used to be so ignorant around here. ""We`ll be home early today, honey. You know I can`t miss my fave comedy shows".

The man held his hands above his head "Lets just forget about this okay. Don`t shoot. "

Arthur pointed the gun at him "I will put my gun away now, if you will let us go find the little girl. I need to know if she found her family. Do you understand what I am telling you?"

The man nodded.

"Alright."  Arthur put the gun back into his pockets, grabbed your hand and walked down the street. So many people passing by without even looking. No one noticed. No one ever did.

"Lets find Aly" he said to you. You felt reliefed taht you finalyl got out of this situation. But then.....there was a noice. A scream. Hands grabbing you from behind. The man was still after you and he didnt hesitate to attack you this time. He jumped on your back, dragging you to the ground, hurting you  while he tried to keep you down. You screamed for help right before you heard the gunshot.

Arthur fired the gun,

He did it.

To protect you.

Your heart was racing so fast it felt like you coudlnt breathe anymore.

The man screamed from the top of his lungs.

He was still alive.

"Arthur!" you yelled "What did you do?"

He picked you off the ground " Dont worry. I only pointed at his leg. He`ll be fine. But I couldnt allow him to hurt my baby. C`mon." He lifted you up and  carried you all the way through the crowd. Leaving the man sobbing  and cursing on the pavement.

"Artie. I wanna go home"

"I know, baby, I know. We will. Are you hurt?"

"He hurt my back when he attacked me But I guess I will be fine".

"Okay. Soon we`ll be home."

He carried you all the way to the subway station and you couldnt belive your eyes as you saw Aly sitting there wth her parants.

"Joker!" she yelled with the happies voice "Thats him" she said to her dad "Thats the friendly clown who wanted to help me find you. But then this man came up and..."

You both sat down beside them.

"I`m sorry " her mum said "Aly has a strong imagination".

Arthur smiled "No. Its all true. I talked to her earlier. I´m glad she is with you again".

"Really?" her mum looked surprised.

"See?" the little girl stick out her tongue "I wasnt lying at all."

"Sorry Aly"

"His name is Joker and he knows some really really good jokes. "

Arthur stroke the little girls hair "I`m so happy you think I`m funny"

"The funniest clown there eeeeeeever was" she giggled.

Your subway was about to arrive so you said your goodbyes. "It was a pleasure to meet you, sweet girl" Aly smiled at him and whispered to him "Hey, can I tell my mum that joke you told me? The one with the elephant?"

"Sure you can!"

"Thank you, Joker."

You both waved at her while you stepped into the subway and  from the distance you could hear Aly telling his joke to her parants. "Whats colorful and stuck between an elephants feet?"

When you got home, you both fell into bed. Arthur didnt even wiped his make up off. He carelessly threw his clothes on the floor and put the gun away.

"I`m sorry" he sighed "This wasnt going quite as we planned it."

You wiped a strain of hair  out of his face  "It wasnt your fault, Artie. People are so ignorant and rude around here."

He kissed the tip of your nose "I´m so glad he didnt hurt you ".

"I`m glad you`re fine, Artie. "

He lifted up the blanket for you to crawl under it "Lets just  enjoy each other. The world outside these windows  means nothing compared to your touch".

You crawled into his protective arms and closed your eyes.

"That girl" he whispered "She thought I was funny".

"You are funny, Arthur!"

"Thank you for saying this" he kissed into your hair.

"Well..." he smirked...."Now that we got home earlier....we have a lot of time in our hands...." he started to stroke your thigh, whispering in your ear "You can call me Joker now".

"Kiss me, Joker! Kiss me all night long" you whispered back, as your lips found his, tasting the red lipstick and a little bit of blood from being punched in the face.

Arthur smiled between the kisses, knowing that this was all he ever needed.

The certainty of being loved.

coffee mugs usually because they hold more liquid and i use them for everything lol tea, coffee, alcohol, soda

cotton candy oh my god. I have such a sweet tooth its ridiculous. I once bought 7 large bags of cotton candy from K days and ate them for the next 2 months even when they got hard and probably nasty lmao i just love that shit. even cotton candy flavoured stuff ( except vodka. thats a trap. )

raining. or breezy day. wind makes me sleepy and rain makes me excited to jump around in puddles and run as if my lifes calling is pulling me towards it

I always sleep on my stomach. its my most comfortable position and i knock out so easily if i do. apparently its a family thing too lol my siblings all outgrew it but w.e

on a laptop or in my journal. the tapping of laptop keys makes me feel productive while writing in my journal makes me feel like itll be saved for the rest of my life

be physical. touch me, graze me, be comfortable with me and hold up a conversation. I got these leather boots that do a clack sound on pavement and i feel powerful as fuck. I got this really high quality black formal shirt from le chateau that breathes really well and highlights my figure. I have these black jeans with zippers above and below the kneecap that make me feel dope. so yeah full black lol. theres also this grey sweater i have that flows in the wing like a cape and i feel like a superhero when wind blows it behind me

Baron omatsuri and the secret island traumatizes me yet again, hooray!

Ok wow that was a nostalgia blast! Finally goddamn have a physical copy of this thing to own. Its never been dubbed and the only way to get it was this weird manga UK licensed reprint of a bunch of (i think) hong kong english subtitles. The style of the subtitles looks like that, at least. Its all weird and grainy and very very old fashioned early days of subtitling style, which contrasts completely with the modern dvd menus and box and stuff. And its also a weird combination disc of four different movies, it seems they just bought out a licensing package deal or something? And just baked it onto the disc without checking or editing anything. Its not really a funny sort of bad subtitles though, its just awkward phrasings of thibgs that are hard to understand or random typos or whatever, no legendarily hilarious stuff. I kinda dislike it more when subtitles are like this, when theyre like...actually written by a guy who speaks fluent english but he just never watched the actual movie so theres a bunch of rookie mistakes. Also has a strange case of what you usually only see on fansubs- the obsession with leaving everything in japanese to Sound Cool. Nah we cant call them the Tea Party Pirates we have to say the japanese word for that. Nah we cant have this man say mustache when he's doing the mustache pose and talking about his crew of entirely mustache men who all do this mustache pose NO it has to be Chobehige because its somehow deep and edgy to not understand the word for mustache. Like i feel if i was watching this sub first i would have no idea what was happening! At least its not as bad as that older sub i saw where they insisted on translating friends as "crew", even when it was llike..a singular. This one man is my crew and here are all my other crews! Like i feel like that subber probably originally did that dumb old fandom thing of INSISTING that you had to say Nakama in japanese and Capitalized and it was a Very Important japanese word for specifically pirate friends that was Impossible To Translate. And then they just did a ctrl + F replace on the whole thing and made an incomprehensible mess. Also for some reason sanji just yells DOCTOR out of nowhere (chopper wasnt even in the scene) and baron omatsuri's one syllable "oh" is translated as some long string of what seems to be baseball jargon..?

But ANYWAY the movie is still fuckin awesome and i actually noticed EVEN MORE dark shit and subtle storytelling that i missed when i was a kid! The whole 'small child zombie stares blankly at the place where a sword stabbed through his chest and cant understand why he got back up' scene is EVEN MORE emotionally destructuve than i thought! Cos the subtlety of the voiceacting seems to make the poor kid sound so tired and resigned to it? He's desperately asking and his father figure feeds him the same old lies he's done a million times about how he's totally still alive and everything is fine. Like wow i missed that inplication that this has happened before! And then he kinda sounds like he's actually aware that Baron is lying and he's just pretending to believe him to make him feel better. And then he starts turning back into a corpse and he doesnt panic like muchigoro or not realize whats happening like the grandpas do. He just looks straight at his hand falling apart and tries to lie to Baron to make him feel better. *long shot of him from behind before you see whats happened* "I'm just feeling dizzy again. I've got used to it." *him staring blankly at his body falling apart, not even capable of feeling sad about it anymore* "Don't worry...i've got used to it." *thud*

Like FUCKING HELL this film is the best damn existential horror thing ever and why the FUCK did they market it as a fun happy kids film? it probably would have been way more successful if the twist wasnt kept all twisty, honestly.

And also WOW YEAH theres a lot of stuff thats the subtlest goddamn storytelling in the universe and youd never notice unless you watched this film a million times like i did! Like during the intro when everythibg still seems all fun and cute and normal, the advert for the Totally Innocent Not A Trap Super Secret Island Resort is being read over some random shots of waves and stuff. But then right near the end you see those same shots again and it becomes clear that it was literally the view from Baron's eyes as he was falling from the ship and drowning, desperately trying to keep his head above water and strain his eyes to see if anyone else had survived. All the moments that just looked like camera cuts were actually when his head fell beneath the waves. Thats fuckin amaizng you straight up showed the ending in the beginning and we didnt notice????

Oh and also right before THE FUCKIN TERRIFYING MUCHIGORO DEATH SCENE you see him casually mention being 'sleepy' a few scenes earlier. It just passes by without notice and you think that he's just drunk until he suddenly starts going from comedic slurring to fucking asphixiating and the SKIN ON HIS FINGERS PEELING OFF. Oh hey! Another thing i didnt notice before! FUCKING THAT. A fun game for you on your rewatch! Looking out to find the secret finger horror! Ha ha ha...ha...

Also MAN OH WOW all the subtle signs of Baron getting more desparate throughout the movie and how it seems the time limit for the zombies was almost up and he had to kill these specific pirates right now because he couldnt spare even a few more hours. In retrospect it makes sense how he was slipping up and leaving evidence for the heroes to figure him out. And its just so subtly offputting and strange how he goes from making a big fun performance about the festival early on and then starts subtky rushing through the formalities faster. Like you dont eveb conciously notice the tone is changing until suddenly BAM the full change happens and you realise you missed all those signs! And aaaa its so fuckin sad how you see him come running when muchigoro drops dead and he's like fuckin GET OUT OF THE WAY DAMMIT and kneels down next to the body and theb he just..turns emotionless again and goes ITS TIME FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE. It is time. Its now. Shut the fuck up and do it, i dont have time to deal with this shit, just die so i can bring my friend back. (Tho of course you dont know thats why at the time) And then whats most jarring about the whole scene to me is how he's like "okay fuck it theres no more fun theres no more attractions, if youre not gonna play along then the final game is just i shoot your damn head off" WHILE YKNOW STILL STANDING OVER THE CORPSE OF HIS FRIEND AND STARING DAGGERS INTO THEM LIKE ITS THEIR FAULT FOR DARING TO CLING ONTO LIFE and then a fuckin half finished hapoy fun carnival game sign pops up in the backgroubd and everyone walks past it. Why was that somehow both hilarious and terrifying????? Just fuckin 'whoops we had this thing ready to go but alright its murder time i guess' and everyone IS SUDDENLY PACKING HEAT AND RIDDLING OUR HEROES WITH BULLETS???

And also even more subtly Baron just?? Stays with muchigoro?? Like notice how the entirety of the endgame takes place around where the dude dropped dead. And how when mustache pirate guy saves luffy you see Baron just walking in circles around the same area angrily shooting arrows at nothing in complete desperation even though the dude is gone and itd make more sense to run after him. No he stays standing right there and actually looks really damn relieved when luffy comes back, he's like 'holy shit you really were stupid enough to walk right into my trap jesus christ im so glad but also youre a dumbass'. And he fights entirely using arrows at this point so you might not even notice that he barely walks more than just circling a two meter radius of fuckin DEAD BEST FRIEND CORPSE. Which btw blends intonthe shadows for this entire scene and they only draw attention it again after Baron wibs and muchigoro comes back to life. And UGH MY HEART you see him smile genuinely for the firstvtime and he's like 'im so glad youre okay' and muchigoro is like 'haha im more than okay i can do somersaults!' and generally being a FUCKING TREASURE and this poor fuckin horrible evil man is hugging his buddy and gently leading him away from the battlefield so he doesnt norice he was just fuckin murdering some dudes to ressurect him. God the scariest damn thing about this film is how the zombies dont know theyre zombies and honestky they probably wouldnt even agree with their boss's plan to kill people to keep them alive. They justvthink they live a perfectly normal happy life on hapoy festival island, and he wants them to stay that way and never feel pain again :(

Aaaaand then yeah the infamous scene of revealing this horrifying intestines flower is growing out of the flesh on his back and all the corpses its digesting are pushed against the undulating flesh of its throat like a snake devouring its prey. And its cutesy fake flower face grows infinate eyes as it just keeps laughing and laughing. And then it gets graphically blown apart and the poor goddamn parasite host tries to shove the bloody instestines back into its body, knowing that without this horrifying monster chewing on his goddamn veins all his friends will go back to being dead.

I still cry my eyes out every time at the ending monologue of Baron dying and meeting all the souls of his dead friends and theyre crying telling him he shouldnt be here, they wish he'd been able to find another reason to live without him...

What a great but very oddly executed movie. Seriously i feel it could have worked better if it was given space to breathe and more deeply explore the dark themes rather than the weirdness of trying to fool the audience into thinking it was cheerful and innocent. Like all of this shit happens in the last 30 minutes of the movie! They spend 60 minutes on the fun carnival games! What a strange sense of priorities!!

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

i think for me, my favorite scene is hands down when cthulhu shows up and lays the smack down. this might be biased from really liking to see cthulhu get around. but i also just kept being like "this squid kid reminds me of cthulhu" and then my assumptions were vindicated

yeah i liked the timing for it too. cause eve stonewalled for so long but then gotta have that little quieter squee when the actual hero showed up.

although i also liked when lilith was all squee but then immediately turned on the tsundere "its not like i like this at all" XD

Also, MASSIVE bonus points for "drum roll". That was too good.

On a more subtle note though, I also liked that Eve hid the video games, AND that her gaming stash had both of the other characters' favorite games. Sometimes you wonder why/how some characters get along, and it's subtle details like that that grounds the relationship for me, by showing that they have more in common than it may seem.

i liked that moment too because i think it demonstrates both eve's intelligence and that for monster kids, taking away their stuff is really not that easy. so it was a moment that kind of did some subtle and excellent world building as well.

true but i dont doubt the others could find a way to hide their games. like lilith seems like shes 100% use magic....that would ultimately mess up in some fashion. hollow might be screwed unless he decides to bury his games in the backyard.

granted i wouldve thought headmistress light wouldve realized eve kind of has some op powers for someone her age

tbf tho their tolerance isnt the highest. since the first scenario they basically said "nope lilith has to clean up her own mess" until it wasnt possible for them to leave it alone

I found it interesting that she seemed to genuinely like Sona as a character, as opposed to just "I like her because her game is fun." Sona seemed like she had a decent personality (or maybe that's just my assumption based on "typical video game main characters" )

nah sona had a nice personality cause she was all positive in the brief moment we see her. very opposite of lilith. so it makes me wonder if lilith has had a bit of a troubled childhood. like i mean dont get me wrong, shes mean. but given shes also a kid you always have to wonder how genuine it is and how much of it is putting on airs and acting in a way she thinks is expected of her.

cause i know her profile even mentions shes half demon or something. so she could be thinking "no im a demon gotta do the evil"

It could be something like, she doesn't get along with the Less Evil of her parents (could be the demon, could be the other one), so she's latching onto evil being desirable. But that's a total stab in the dark at this point in time

QUESTION 2. The cast of the comic is colorful to say the least. Did any of the characters in particular strike you as interesting? If so, who and why? Why do you think Lilith is at the orphanage when she implies she has parents? Who are her parents and where are they? What about Eve and Hollow? Do you think they’re actually orphans or are there mitigating circumstances to why they’re at the orphanage? What do you think Eve’s implied connection to Cthulhu is? What about Hollow? Any theories that turn what we believe about Hollow on their head? Do you think the three main children will manage to stay friends despite their differences, or will one of them cause a rift?

I do think an "the friends have a fight, but realize it was silly and reunite to defeat a foe that they could not have defeated individually" episode is likely, though it's still early on and can't really say what might cause such a scenario

Sorry, had to deal with little one here. Just to finish my earlier thought...

Lilith seems to have this need to prove herself to someone, so there's that, but she's not great at considering the consequences. Like even being forced to clean up the kitchen. It's an interesting counterpoint to Eve... and I guess since my personality's more like Eve, I have little issues.

I think Lilith was probably left at the orphanage by a relative who just couldn't deal any more... her parents were maybe going to come back to said relative's place at some time. Now Lil's trying to get their attention, maybe?

maybe. i feel like something deeper is going on. cause normally if you couldn't deal with a child youre watching you just ship them back to their parents. not send them to an orphanage.

not to mention lilith is a bag of trouble

and if i was the headmistress and knew lilith had parents who didnt abandon her forever, i wouldve been like "oh whoops back to your parents you go"

although nobody might know where the parents are

As to parent/kid ties, I feel like Eve is maybe a reincarnation of Cthulu or something. Which is why she can channel subconsciously?

QUESTION 3. The world of the comic is interesting to say the least. How do you think Littlelight Asylum manages to stay under the radar given its unique composition of occupants? Do you think we’ll see Mel again? Further, do you think Mel will manage to expose Littlelight Asylum for what it is, or will Mel’s efforts wind up in vain? How abundant do you think monsters are compared to humans anyway? What do you think would happen if normal humans found out about the orphanage? Will it turn out okay, badly, or do you think they have safety nets in place? Lastly, why do you think Headmistress Light continues the orphanage when it causes her many headaches and risks a lot?

Monsters must be more prevalent than one thinks though, if they're having relationships with humans? And if Mel has enough data to identify them as such?

well that orphanage alone was pretty populated from what it seemed. and having an orphanage implies that either 1) the population is large because generally you only have an orphanage that community raising isnt a viable option or 2) orphans in the monster world are extremely, extremely common and probably more orphans than kids with parents

QUESTION 4. The story is formatted in a way to offer lots of room for interesting scenarios. Are there any sorts of supernatural based scenarios you think might be interesting to see? Alternatively, is there something non-supernatural that you think it’d be interesting to watch the kids go through? Do you think we’ll see any of the antagonists from the previous scenarios again? If so, what do you think will happen? How many of the future scenarios do you think will be caused by Lilith’s magic going awry? Speaking of the supernatural though, what other sorts of cryptids or similar are you hoping to see character wise? Alternatively, is there a character you’ve seen already that you want to see more of based on their cryptid base?

I'm wondering if ghosts are a thing. Or contacting dead people. Particularly if parents are dead.

I hope the Lilith's magic going weird doesn't become a crutch... I liked how it was subverted a bit in the most recent one, where they were able to defeat the enemies.

before the chat closes out, i want to add that i agree with super in that the character designs are really fantastic. theres a real great balance of detail and simplicity and i feel like all the designs really match the character theyre for.

Yeah, and I think the characters complement each other really well. Like, the more reserved sensible one, the off the wall random one, and the guy who's prone to excitement and is happy to be doing his best.

Even that second antagonist (if the ones at the start with the vines were the first), the Flame guy, he had some good motivations and things... and "eternal" wasn't just a catchphrase.

Btw, Hollow and Eve seem to share a room... does Lilith have a roommate, you think?

Beberapa minggu yang lalu tepatnya Desember (sudah tahun lalu ya? hehehe) saya mendapati invitation dari teman saya di Sidoarjo untuk menonton sebuah band dari Australia bernama Clowns berikut link videonya. Beberapa saat sebelumnya saya memang juga berencana ingin menonton band dari Australia juga bernama Night Hag namun karena saya berhalangan saya pun melewatkannya dengan sesal dan berharap ada band sebagus mereka datang lagi ke sekitaran Jawa Timur (supaya ringan di ongkos transport).

Kemudian saya coba telusuri dan tonton video mereka yang berjudul “Repeat After Me”.Tak ada bayangan dan ekspektasi lebih sesaat sebelum membukanya. Namun yang saya temukan ternyata mencengangkan, Clownsmerupakan band yang bengal!. Keras dan Fun! It's not being poppy but it's anthemic!. Cocok bagi penggemar GG Allin, The Bronx dan Black Flag (mereka sempat mengcover lagu "Wasted" dari Black Flag malam itu dan di live cassete album spesial edisi tur SEA ini).

Akhirnya berangkat lah saya menembus hujan lebat dan bensin yang menipis di Selasa 7 februari itu. Sempat tersesat karena pertama kalinya saya ke Sidoarjo sendirian dengan motor. Mereka ke Sidoarjo dalam rangka menjalani rangkaian tur Asia tenggara meliputi Singapura, Malaysia dan Indonesia selama Februari ini. Saya berhasil mendapat ijin dan kesempatan wawancara ini di akhir performance mereka setelah sempat mengajak kenalan Tristan dan James di saat sebelum show dan dikenalkan lagi oleh Anca The Shantoso kepada Jake dan Steve. Namun di kesempatan itu yang mampu saya temui hanya James dan Tristan yaitu bassis dan gitaris Clowns karena yang lain kelelahan dan perlu istirahat.

guide: A: Alfan, J: James , T: Tristan

A: how did you guys meet each other?

T: we met at school, we met our guitarists, drummer and singer at school, at university, and we met our bassists through a circle of friends, sort of friends of friends.

A: Like you guys met at the same scene at the local gigs?

J & T: yeah yeah, pretty much

A: So until now, how many recordings that you have released?

J: Umm, We did an EP in 2010, Clowns EP 2010, then on 2011 we did a split 7" with Them Orphans from Perth, and now we're gonna do another 7" when we get back to Australia and also we've done a live album, recorded on rehearsal for this South East Asia tour.

A: How did you guys came up with the idea of touring South East Asia?

J: Well we came up with the idea when our friend from our fellow Australian band like Straight Jacket Nation, cameback from south east asia tour, then we met Cher from Singapore online and then she lead us to these people we met so far, these people we can contact and organize us a tour.

A: Your most favorite Australian band

J: Hard Ons T: probably Carnival

A: And when you got here, have you also had particular band that you like?

J: In South East Asia? Yeah, yeah lots of good band, The Shantoso we love it soo much, and then Sleeping Police, and in Malaysia we saw Boulevard, and then some bands we watched in Singapore.

A: When you got this tour idea, have you ever imagined where you're gonna be landed and headed?

J: No, We knew Indonesia, We knew Malaysia, and We knew Singapore as well. Then we met Cher, and She told us where to go, where to play, the guys we should meet and hangout with, who to talk to. and she mentioned about Borneo or something of it, and we're gonna play there by the end of this tour.

A: Hmm in terms of CLOWNS, I saw that your vocalist Stevie, wore a t-shirt with a picture of Jack Nicholson's Joker on it. So who do you think is the best JOKER? Jack Nicholson or Heath Ledger?

J: Jack Nicholson probably, he's pretty bad ass, but yeah Heath Ledger who played the recent Joker is an australian guy, alright he's dead now hahaha T: Favorite Joker for me is probably some comic book dude, not a real actor..

A: How about from the animated series?

No no, also not animated, comic book, comic book

A: Favorite food in here?

J: So far? squid

T: Cumi, cumi goreng dan nasi goreng

J: Yeah, nasi goreng

A: Aaah yes hahah it's obvious , nasi goreng it's all time favorite

J: Yeaa... hahaha is good

T: Cumi goreng is suprisingly good, it's really tasty

J: Sounds a bit weird but it's really nice yeah hahaha

J: But we didn't like even the durian, heheehe...

T: Not. Not too happy with the durian

A: So How do you come up with the theme on the 7"?

T: Depends on the single, so The 7" is the new single, the "Arst One is Repeat After Me", then "Eat A Gun", so the artwork depends on the single name and kind of that's how we themed it.

J: Well I did the artwork myself. It's like trying to get as much as crazy stuff into the picture, before it gets out of control

A: So did you do it when you were sober or drunk?

J: Well a bit both, hahaha.... Well i'm not really mess around with photoshop, or expensive gadget. I did it like with just a pencil, and sharpen the texture and an eraser

T: Keeping it old school

A: Beside doing band stuffs, what do you guys do?

J: Yea we're all going to school, university , we all study, we also have a job as well, like me driving a box car sending things around, Tristan work at a doughnut shop, Steve And Jake works in a call center and, apart from that...

T: Whatever makes ends, make money, pay bills

J: Well outside study, we go to shows in melbourne, play Arecracker, hanging out..

A: So how do you guys, adjust with that? between music and daily routine?

J: We play gigs, None of us work in the weekends, so we have works and school

T: Yea and on Saturday we got to see a big gig night in melbourne always

A: whooa does the gig done routinely?

T: Sometimes thursday, wednesday, but yea mostly saturday

J: We play with someone on thursday spare gigs, commonly friday and saturday night. We have school, we school and work at the daytime during the week, afterwork or school we practice and play gigs on the weekends

A: You see, when I'm doing these scene things, me and my friends make gigs on university. Do you guys also organize a show on university or are there authorities which make it harder?

J: Yea a little bit

T: I used to go to Melbourne University, every thursday they had decent band playing. J: Popular band

T: Yea it was like popular bands not playing like King GIzzard and The Lizard Wizard, Barbarian, etc, like big in Melbourne-band.

A: I thought you can play your friends in university gigs..

J: Mostly the gig in the Melbourne not done in university, they're on pub, club and house house shows. not very often..

A: So do you guys have any plans on the near future?

J: Aa.. just keep doing what we're doing, play as many shows as we can , record very soon

T: Singles, 7 inches

J: Singles on 7 inches, doing album when we have enough money. After we do the 7 inch we'll do an album, doing more tour, meet more friends.

A: I was wondering, when we in Indonesia usually rehearse by renting a rehearsal studio, do you guys do the same there in Australia?

T: Yea, you know we rent a rehearsal space, its a big room, soundproof, bring a lot of stuff drumkits all that, and we play usually from 6 o clock til midnight.

J: We don't play that long but yea thats how long we got the session

A: Whooa that soo long for us 6 o'clock til midnight...

T: It is a long time, yea we usually we got there at 7 or 8 and finish at 10

A: Is it like an empty space?

J: It's a big building full of lotsa room, it's like a big factory and got lots of big room

A: And you guys bring your own equipment

T: We can hire stuff between each

J: Plus there's lots of band in there play at one time in different rooms

T: All sound proof, and

J: It works well

T: Thats how usually in Melbourne, but there are few places like that with a bunch a rooms and we hire a single room for a couple of hours , and bring in all of your stuff, play for as long as you want and no one will give a shit

A: Hahaha i envy you. other than doing shows do you guys also organize shows?

J: We also organize shows, with our friends and our friends band and if a band wants to come to Melbourne we can help em organize a show for them

A: Is it collective or you guys also search for a sponsor?

J: Yea, collectively, get a good show and having fun

A: And for the equipment you bring yourself?

J: If it is in Australia we bring our own amps, and guitar and simple drumkits

A: Whoa.. thats a bit different in here..we rent from studio and bring it to venue

J: Yeah, everyone seems have their own stuff

A: Thats real pro and DIY

J: Yeaa

T: Hahaha yeaa

A: So any plans for next year's tour?

J: There are few places in our mind, we just think like kinda go like, if anyone or we meet anyone who tell us to go to particular area or wanna make a tour with us, we should go there

T: I do want to get to UK, Europe, that'd be freakin awesome , but it would be expensive though

J: We definitely go somewhere but we just don't know where yet

T: Maybe Asia again, might be good

A: Through years of your career, have you guys faced criticsm and how do you deal with it? It forms of internet review and stuffs?

T: A little bit, every, you know cause there's always someone out there gonna say "ohh this is bad this is good" but doesn't really bother us too much

J: Here's the thing, you got one little thing, one little thing on the internet, but when you play show and theres a hundred people who's gonna its awesome

A: So you just play.. play.. play...

J: Yea yea like that

T: Yea right and like there's always gonna be people out there who hate whatever you do, and the same time there's people who love what you do. So just do what you do, and hope the people would love it, listen to it and get into it

J: I like what I do, so it doesn't matter

Saya menyempatkan ngobrol sebentar dengan Anca tentang scene underground di Surabaya dan Sidoarjo. Setelah itu saya pulang karena besok ada ujian yang ternyata tidak jadi. A killing joke it is.....
