And the real messed up thing is that she isn’t the only person in it that applies to, i.e., Bruce, Carol, Gamora, Bucky. The Harvest is already an ethical nightmare, but that aspect somehow makes it even more gross.

Again, I know that Fury and SHIELD are very, very morally grey, but holy shit. It’s honestly kind of shocking how the show doesn’t even bother to acknowledge, let alone deal with, how heinous the Harvest is.

(Not to mention the stupidity of putting all of it into one vial. Like, what the fuck was Fury thinking at any point in any of this?)

I almost wish they’d just gone the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes route regarding the creation of Super Skrulls, which basically amounts to, “We’re not gonna bother explaining, you can figure it out yourself. Look! Black Panther-Iron Fist-Spiderperson! Wee!” It’s very a-wizard-did-it, but it’s preferable to dredging up more ethical questions that the films/shows are likely never going to adequately deal with.

Also, to circle back to Ava, I have to say that it’s annoying as hell to wait for literal years for any kind of in-universe mention of her and have it be... this.
