Can you do a request where Tara comforts reader from a nightmare they had? It mostly involved losing Tara
"i'm right here" - tara carpenter
Tumblr media
summary - (takes places after the events of scream 5, you have a nightmare about that one night. the night you still feel guilty about.)
sorry if the writings a little bad, but.. i'm back!!
you were laying on the couch watching a movie. you hadn't been able to see tara because you had work today, so you opted to see her the next day. you had called her as you left work and made sure she was okay, and assured her that you two would see each other tomorrow. she really wanted you to come over after work, but you were too tired, you told her. she tried to get you to come. you loved tara, but she was really really clingy at times, you didn't mind though. you didn't love her any less.
you had started to drift off to sleep, but you jolted awake as your phone rang. it was tara.
"tara? are you okay?" you asked, your mind immediately saying something was wrong from how late she had called you, she never called so late.
a voice was heard.
"y/n! i think.. i think someone's in the house, they called me just a few minutes ago saying they were going to kill you, and i said it was bullshit until they sent me a picture of you in your living room and.. and.."
"what?" you said, taking the covers off of you and you glanced at the window not too far from you, scanning to see if there was anyone outside, but there wasn't. "tara.. slow down, okay what's wrong, who called you?"
"i don't know! some guy.. he said he was from my mom's group, and i believed him until he started going off track and started asking me about my favorite scary fucking movies! and -"
the line went dead.
"tara?"
"tara?"
shit. you grabbed your keys that were in front of you on the table and bolted out of the front door without a second thought.
on the way to tara's, you tried to call the landline, and her phone, but each went to voicemail. you were panicking. frantic. you didn't know whether tara was alive or not. you didn't want to hope for the worst.
soon enough, you pulled up to tara's house. every light was on. upstairs, downstairs, you name it.
you shut the car off, and ran to the front door, banging on it.
no answer.
you banged again, harder this time.
still no answer.
"goddamnit!" you said, sweat starting to cascade down your head.
'wait' you thought. tara always had a spare key incase you came over. and sure enough, it was under the mat below your feet.
with sweaty hands you grabbed the key, and unlocked the door.
"tara?" you called out. "tara! tara where are you?" you turned the corner nearing the kitchen and you saw blood.
it was everywhere. you searched the room for any sign of the attacker, but he was gone.
you were too late.
"tara!" you yelled, kneeling down beside her. it seemed as if she had more then eight stab wounds in her torso. she was bleeding out horribly.
"no.. no..no.. tara? it's.. it's okay.. i'm here.. i'm gonna get help.. shit!" you tried to add a bit of pressure to stop the bleeding, but it was no use.
"y/n?" you heard. it was a whisper but you heard.
"i'm gonna get help tar, don't speak, okay? just.. just hang on!"
you pulled your phone out of your pocket, tears streaming down your face, with blood all over your hands. it was hard to even type in the passcode, let alone dial 911. but you did, thank god.
"hello? please.. help! my girlfriend she.. she got stabbed!" you tried to get the words out but you couldn't, your chest heaving up and down.
"tara? tara stay with me okay, help..help is on the way, i promise! just stay with me... stay with me."
you cradled her head in your hands, bringing yours down to meet.
"oh god.. i should've came.. i could've..."
"y/n..."
'y/n...."
"Y/N!"
you jolted awake, scanning the room, your shirt wet from sweat. your eyes then landed on the figure next to you.
"tara?"
"y/n.. it's okay, i'm here.. was it a nightmare again?" she asked her hands cupping your face as you melted into them, eyes closed.
"yeah.. i.. you're okay.." you said, panting.
"i'm okay, see?" she grabbed your hand placing it on her heart. "i'm okay, i'm alive, and i'm breathing." she chuckled.
"do you want to talk about it?"
"i.. maybe tomorrow. can i just hold you.. please?" you asked, finally opening your eyes.
"of course you can."
you pulled her close, needing to hear her every breath as she slept, needing to know that she was close by you for the rest of the night.

Dreamers & Delusions- Pt. 5
Tumblr media
merman x female reader
It's been a couple weeks now since you and Tao had started your fake dating situationship thing. He walks you to and from work as often as he can and invites you to his home more and more.
You end up hanging out with him most days and are rarely at your grandmother's except to sleep or get ready for work. On the days you don't have work and don't want to go to the beach, Tao has let you hang out at his rental. It was odd at first but you quickly got comfortable with it.
Today though, you couldn't get out of the house. The weather has gotten worse and it's been raining for two days straight. Yesterday you saw him while he was out grocery shopping, he looked a bit upset then. Over and over he kept asking if you'd be okay but you'd told him you'll be fine.
Now, you're not so sure.
It's only been two days but your grandmother hasn't shut up.
"Your looks will only last so long. You should consider doing something that will keep him on his toes. Maybe try to freshen up your wardrobe," your grandmother rants from her recliner.
"He's not interested in stuff like that. I mean he dresses like uncle Rob when he's out mowing the lawn for fucks sake. Merfolk don't care about that stuff," you roll your eyes as you fiddle with your phone.
You hear your grandmother scoff.
She wasn't quite onboard with you "dating" Tao after she found out he was a merman. She kept complaining that it would be difficult to have a normal life together and what would your kids look like. It's been never ending with her on that front but now she's back to you.
"I'm just saying, what if he does get bored with you? You'll at least be ready for someone else," she states.
"Just shut up! You don't know jack shit! No wonder you're fucking alone! Do you hear yourself," you snap at her. You feel like you should feel bad for what you just said but you don't.
Your grandmother rises from her recliner and stomps towards you with a foul glare.
"I took you in you ungrateful little bitch. Day in and day out I let you come and go as you please and this is what I get? I took pity on you because of that piss poor excuse of a daughter of mine... But I can see the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree," she seethes, spitting on your face.
Thunder roars outside and shakes the house. A flash of lightning and the power is off. You can still make out the miserable shape of your grandmother in front of you. You can still hear her breathing impatiently, undeterred by the darkness.
"You're right, the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. My mom's a fuck up who lost her husband just like you did," you spit back to her.
Your cheek stings suddenly and you realize your grandmother has slapped you. Again and again, three... four times she hits you before you grab her wrist and shove her away.
"Fuck this," you holler, stomping away from you grandmother and down the hall.
You can hear her yelling at you, cursing you and your mother. But you ignore her as you pull the door open. The rain is coming down in sheets and although it's noon, the sky is almost dark as night.
Slamming the door behind you, you take a few careful steps down the stairs and bolt across the empty street. The walk to the beach is slow but you don't care. You just want to be there, you want to feel the wind as it whips off the waves.
The rain stops for a little bit, slowing to a sprinkle as you step onto the drenched sand. Your shoes get stuck a few times till you decide to just take them off. Little by little you make your way to the life guard tower. The rain picks up again as you climb up and curl into a ball against the back wall.
Your stomach drops and you hold yourself as you start to cry. You hate feeling like this, you hate that every time you fight with your grandmother you let her get into your head.
You feel nauseous and tired, drained from yelling and running in the rain. You just wanted a fresh start away from your hometown. You wanted a better life, an easier life, but everything has been getting difficult lately.
The heaviness of the rain lulls you to sleep as you curl up with a damp beach towel you found in the tower. You're shivering cold, but you're to tired and eventually you drift to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tao:
I haven't been able to shake this horrible feeling since I woke up this morning. I dragged myself out of my tank earlier than usual and showered off. The hot water helped me clear my head as it has been every morning.
I cannot stop thinking about my dear friend and more often then not I fall asleep with her on my mind. Sweet dreams usually follow and I wake up angry at myself for thinking of her too much.
Today is different though, the shower helped long enough for me to dry off and make it to the kitchen before I started thinking of her again.
I've let her into my home so often so she can avoid her grandmother and little by little she's left bits of herself here. A jacket that I have hung next to my own by the door. A couple of her books that I've skimmed through but found it too licentious to finish. And her crown from the night we shared with the pixies.
I have placed her crown in my nest room for a reason I cannot understand. I have fallen asleep with it in my hands almost everyday. Three days ago I had thought I lost it and nearly ruined my home looking for it. I was ashamed of myself when I found it in one of its usual spots in the room.
I felt horrible that I let my thoughts of her consume me so, but today it's worse. So much worse. I feel dreadful and not because of my thoughts of her. Something deep inside of me is uneasy and restless.
My kitchen is in a state of chaos after I make breakfast, an unusual sight for me since I clean as I go. I eat quickly and quietly but I am unable to finish eating. I feel sick and I almost double over when I start on the dishes.
Bile bubbles up in the back of my throat and my chest feels heavy. That horrible feeling explodes and suddenly I find myself racing to the door.
The rain is coming down hard and I can hardly see anything in front of me but I make my way down the wooden steps. I freeze in my tracts once I get to the bottom.
Something feels off, wrong and twisted.
I allow myself a moment and another as I realize my instincts are coming alive. I sniff the air again and again until I smell it.
It's faint but it's undeniably her scent.
The rain would have washed it away already unless she has left the safety of her home.
I start running then, running for dear life towards the beach. The horrid feeling I had was for her all along, for the safety of my only friend and shoal mate. I had ignored it for too long, I just hope that I'm not too late.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
You startle awake from the loud thunder clapping. The rain had gotten worse as you slept. The clouds have darkened and the wind has grown stronger. The tower groans as the wind assaults it every few minutes.
Groggy and cold and wet, you try to find another beach towel to wrap up in but you find none. You try to consider your options but your mind is so tired and you're becoming a bit anxious with the storm getting worse.
You decide then to make an attempt to get to Tao's home. You'd be safe there and far away from your grandmother.
Step by careful step you make it down the tower and your heart stops at the view in front of you. The waves are hitting the beach harder and fast. The tide is high and you're a bit too close to the water than you're comfortable with.
You look around and decide that if you can get to the houses on the other side of the beach you can worm your way through that neighborhood to his house.
Slowly and ever so cautiously you step forward. You have to balance yourself as the wind is constantly threatening to knock you down. You're teetering closer and closer to the waves as you walk towards the houses. You keep trying to walk away from them but somehow manage to find your feet right back in the water.
You're halfway there when you hear something behind you but by the time you turn around it's too late. You're knocked out almost instantly and you fall hard and fast. The waves lap at your body, slowly pulling you into the ocean.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tao:
I race up and down the beach trying to find her, my body fighting to transform under the heavy rains. I sniff the air again and again but the scent has drifted. No, it's drifting...
My heart stops as I look out into the dangerous dark waters.
I sniff again, hoping I'm wrong but I'm not.
I sprint towards the waves and jump as high and as far as I can into the ocean. I dive in and within second I smell her... I smell her blood.
I force the transformation and swim as fast as I can towards her scent. This storm will have no doubt invited several unwanted predators to this area and if they have smelled her blood...
Something heavy rams into my side and I reel back as I see a bull shark charging towards me. I harden my fist using what magic I have and punch the creature on the snout before electrocuting it. The shark shakes its massive body and tries to attack again.
I haven't the time for this.
Not wanting to kill an innocent creature, I use my magic to disrupt the currents and have the shark swept up in them.
Quickly I swim away and try to follow the scent again. It's getting further and further away but stronger. She's loosing blood and fast.
I push myself more than I ever had before and swim until I feel like my lungs might give out. The scent of her blood becomes so strong I can practically taste it.
Grinding my teeth, I move faster until I see her limp body bobbing in and out of the water. I quickly surface and see her loosely hanging onto a plastic trash bin. I quickly pull her into my arms and look around us.
I can hardly see the beach from here... She was pulled so far from land.
Gathering my strength I swim hard towards the shore. I have to be careful and keep her head above the water, it's not easy. I would give her gills like I did the night we danced with the pixies but she's not awake for it. I have to shift her ever so often as the waves threaten to pull us under and I have to use an immense amount of magic to keep the currents steady.
I almost panic when she slides out of my arms and I have to quickly swim back for her. I pray to the goddesses for the first time in a long time that I make it back to the shore with her alive.
By the time we reach land the sky is truly dark. The wind has died down and the tide has lowered. I pull her and myself up, breathing heavily as I lay us down. I look at her and I feel a mix of pain and relief. She's breathing but she's hurt.
Blood trickles down her head and there's a gash on her leg where her pants have been torn. I work fast to bring myself back to my human form. It hurts like hell forcing it and I grit my teeth. I am motionless for a few minutes after my tail has split into legs. It burns worse than ever after swimming so hard.
I shake as I force myself to stand and carefully scoop my friend into my arms. My muscles ache but the gnawing heavy dread I had felt has subsided a great deal. Holding her close to me I begin the long walk back home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's warm and quiet when you finally wake up. You're sitting on a bench covered in towels with a space heater next to you. You tilt your head back, a searing pain making you wince.
You gasp, a wheezing noise leaving your mouth. You hear someone running towards you and you feel their warm hands on your face.
"Thank the goddesses, you're finally awake," Tao says.
You can only tell it's him by his voice, your vision is still blurry and your head hurts so bad.
"Why the hell were you at the beach," you hear him yell.
You try to open your mouth but it's dry and tastes like salt. Your head lulls to the side and your blurry vision becomes slightly clearer. Tao is kneeling before you, his hands move from your face to your shoulders. He grips you and you wince, everything hurting.
"You were over a mile away from the beach when I found you! You could have been killed! For... Fucks sake you were covered in blood when I found you! Were you drinking that vile human alcohol again? Why would you go out and do something like that," Tao shakes you, still yelling and unable to control himself.
You limply raise your hand a plop it weakly over his arm. You mouth a few words begging him to stop as you begin to cry. Your voice is hoarse and your throat sore but you manage a few dry words.
"I'm sorry... please Tao... Please stop... You're hurting me," you cough and are nearly out of breath from just speaking.
Tao stops shaking you and loosens his grip on you. His hands fall to the bench before snaking around you and pulling you closer to him. He rests his head on your lap and you feel him shivering.
"I thought I had lost you... I couldn't find you and when I did... You were so far away and unconscious. You were just floating there while bleeding out. Why were you there... Why," Tao holds you closer, his nails digging into your skin.
You cough as you try to speak but it's no use. You keep coughing and coughing so hard it hurts. Tao quickly scoops you up and brings you to the kitchen where he gently sets you on the counter. He brings you a large glass of water that you chug down. You're still coughing but it doesn't hurt as bad as it did before.
Tao takes your cup and refills it and as he hands it to you, you start crying again.
This day keeps getting worse and worse and you just want it to end. First the fight with your grandmother, then you get knocked out and dragged into the ocean, and now Tao is mad at you.
A part of you wishes that you stayed lost at sea. That you might have finally found some peace and everyone would probably be better off without you. That thought consumes you till you start weeping in earnest.
"Fuck," you hear Tao curse and then you hear something break.
You begin to shake even as Tao wraps his arms around you. He holds you, not too tight but close enough that you can hear his heart beat.
"I'm sorry, please stop crying. I just-," Tao tenses up and you hear his voice crack. "You're all I have, please be more careful... please."
You hear what he's saying but you're too tired, too hurt to really register any of it. He keeps talking, his voice calming down but the words are lost on you. The pain you feel on your head is dulling but draining. You keep going in and out and Tao keeps talking.
There's a loss of heat for a moment, your eyelids too heavy to peel open to see what's going on. You feel yourself being lifted and walked somewhere. Something warm and soft is wrapped around you before you're set down on something even more soft. You limply nestle into it before allowing sleep to claim you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tao:
I pace in my kitchen for what feels like hours. I am feeling too many things at once and I cannot sort them properly. My friend is safe and fast asleep in my nest room. Her injuries were not deep but there were many. I cleaned and bandaged what I could without having to strip her but I fear I might have missed a few cuts and wounds because of that.
Her words play over and over in my head, when I asked her what she was doing at the beach. In my rage I yelled at her, again. In my desperation I accused her of being drunk even though I realized too late I didn't smell any alcohol on her breath. I have made a terrible mistake.
She might resent me now, might even fear me. She's already afraid of sharks and my mer half is similar to that creature. She was terrified the first time she touched my tail. What if she's still terrified of me but doesn't say anything?
Rage swells in my heart for what I have done, for hurting her and making her cry. I look down at my hand, my knuckles are torn after punching the wall and the skin on my fingers are slightly cut.
I am not good enough for her... I've hurt her...
That anger quickly dies down and is replaced with a gnawing sorrow. I slide to the floor and grip at my hair while grinding my teeth. Three, no four of my front teeth pop out from how hard I bite down. I spit them out and wince as I feel the back row shift forward.
This pain must be my punishment for what I have done. I must beg for forgiveness when she wakes up. I cannot bare the thought of her being afraid of me, it hurts too much.
I sit and center myself as I shed the front row of my teeth and spit them out little by little. I am covered in blood and I feel horrible. A new back row will grow in a day or two causing more well deserved pain. It will serve as a reminder of what I've done. For now though, I am tired and my shoal mate needs me to watch over her.
She ran to the beach for a reason. I was too enraged to hear her out and too impatient to let her heal before speaking.
I clean myself up and quickly change into something warm before heading to my nest room.
My friend is sleeping soundly but with tears sliding down her cheeks. I carefully place a hand over her forehead, she is cold. I have wrapped her in a large towel since she is dirty and too tired to change into anything.
I pause and try to think what she would even wear. My clothes are large and one of my shirts would fit her like a short dress. I imagine it for a moment and inhale sharply. It would be the only thing I own that would fit her and it would cover just above the knees. I slap myself for thinking of her like that.
She is my friend, she is my shoal mate, you are not good enough for someone like her.
I chant that over and over again but the more I do the more it feels like a lie.
What if I could be more than just a friend to her, what if I am good enough for her, what if she could be my-
I stop that last thought. It would be too good to be true if she could be more than just a friend, but to be my mate or my fated mate? I would pray to the goddesses everyday for the good fortune of allowing me to meet her.
But that is not the case, no matter how much I wish it.
I carefully step around her and lay by her side, gently pulling her into my arms. Hearing her breathe settles me and I feel myself purring. I chuckle remembering how I reacted to her talking about that. I know talking about purring is embarrassing but I never questioned why until after that day.
She has made me question myself, question my upbringing, and my kin more often than not to the point that I'm not sure who I really am. I've allowed myself to be defined by what I am and where I'm from that I don't know who I am. She mentioned once that she hates being judged by her work and family and I'm starting to understand that.
I hope that tomorrow I can make amends with her so that we can talk and learn each other more
~~~~~~~~~~~~
You ache everywhere when you wake up. Your head in pounding and your stomach makes an angry growl. The lights are dim when you open your eyes. You're surrounded by plush pillows and blankets that smell freshly laundered. You suddenly realize that you're in Tao's nest room.
You try to sit up but every fiber of your being is screaming in agony. You groan in pain and wince when you touch your head. Everything starts to slowly come back and the last thing you remember is Tao wrapping you up and carefully laying you down.
A cough forces its way out until you're having a fit. Your throat is on fire, dry and sore. You hear heavy foot fall and suddenly you see Tao. He helps you sit up and brings a cup to your lips. You slowly drink, some of the water not making it into your mouth.
Tao holds you as you catch your breath, the dryness in your throat has subsided but it's still sore. You loll your head till you're looking up at him and whimper a quiet apology. You feel Tao's grip on you tighten before he carefully lays you back down.
"No, it is I who should be sorry. You are injured and exhausted and I had yelled at you, again. I made a horrible accusation and expressed my anger about what had happened when you're already vulnerable and cannot speak. I am ashamed of myself," Tao admits, his voice despondently.
You limply pat his hand, "As long as you're not mad at me or hate me we're good."
Tao takes your hand in his and lightly squeezes it, "I will never hate my friend but I am upset that you put yourself in danger. What were you thinking?"
"I wasn't," you say then cough. "I was running on pure emotions and spite. I-" you cough again and again into another fit. Tao helps you drink once more and tells you that you can talk once you're better.
But you ignore him, needing to get this all off your chest.
"I got into another fight with my grandmother. She was being a class A bitch about some shit and then she brought you into the conversation and I lost it," you explain, clearing your throat afterwards.
"So you ran to the beach in the middle of a storm," Tao asks dryly.
"Like I said, wasn't thinking. I just wanted to get way from her and my feet just took me there. I stayed up in the guard tower where I passed out, emotionally exhausted and when I came to, I decided to make my way to your place," you say, pausing to let Tao help you drink some more water.
"I don't know what happened but the next thing I knew I was bashed in the back of the head! I came to a few times when I was being dragged further from land... I remember getting scrapped up and screaming from the pain. I probably passed out again afterwards. Then you found me. You saved me," you can't help the tears that start coming on then.
As you cry you start to remember being helplessly dragged miles away from shore. Too sore to move and terrified that you might drown or become fish food. You screamed so much your throat became raw. You remember your leg being torn by a rock and being whipped against a buoy so hard your back bruised immediately. Everything hurts and feels sharp and dull all at once. Worst of all, you're starving and your tummy is not being quiet about it.
"What is that sound," Tao asks.
"My stomach... I haven't eaten anything since the day before my grandmother and I fought. So it's protesting and-"
Tao quickly sets you back down and scrambles out of the room. You hear chaos unfold from the kitchen and before you know it he's back with an armful of snacks.
"Please eat these while I go cook you something warm," is all he says before rushing off again.
He's deposited the snacks in front of you, all of them being your usual favorites that you munched on when you hung out here. You always brought them over and never really stored any here. You don't want to think too much into it aside from him practicing to be a good mate to someone else. You'd get your hopes up for no reason otherwise.
You happily tear into a bag of chips and chow down. Three bags of chips later Tao returns with a large bowl of soup. It smells so good your mouth starts watering.
Tao helps you sit up and piles a few pillows behind you. You reach for the bowl only for Tao to move the tray with it on his lap.
"You're shaking too much, I'll feed you," Tao states.
You glare at him for a moment and then at yourself, "Fuck."
"Eat and then I'll take you to the bathroom so you can bathe yourself and clean whatever wounds you can or I couldn't get to," he says, scooping some soup up and bringing it to your lips.
You take a bite, trying not to be awkward in this situation, "What wounds? And I don't even have a change of clothes what would I even wear?"
Tao makes you take a few more bites while he mulls over your question. He's clearly uncomfortable about something an it shows as plain as day.
"Tao, let's not be weird about this. We're both adults buddy," you say after finishing another amazing bite of soup.
"I didn't get to the wounds on your back or thighs since... since touching or getting to either spot would have been highly inappropriate," he answers, looking away from you though.
"Ok, I appreciate the chivalry but what if I had a really really bad injury on either spot of I don't know some weird fish venom you would have had to strip me and I would have been alright with that. I trust you dude and not once have you creeped me out," you tell him.
He finally looks back at you and the whites of his eyes slowly turn black. "I do not feel worthy of such trust my friend, not after what I did."
"Well guess what, you have my trust regardless of loosing your shit and rightfully so! You were scared, I get it. You don't have to keep beating yourself up over it," you reach out and lightly pat his arm.
"Are you certain? I hurt you and yel-"
"I said it's fine, jeeze! Water under the bridge. Forgive and forget. Less sadness, more soup," you pat his arm again and make a face.
Tao chuckles and shakes his head, "How is it that you're torn up and still as talkative as ever."
"My mouth doesn't have an off switch man, I could ta-"
Tao shoves a spoonful of soup into your mouth.
"I do believe I just found the off switch for that mouth of yours," he grins.
You swallow hard and as mad as you feign to be you can't help but to laugh, "Ya got me, feed me good food and I shut right up."
With that Tao feeds you another bite but it's a bit much and some of the broth slides down your chin. Before you have a chance to clean it off, Tao wipes it off with his thumb before cleaning it off with his tongue. Your brain blanks out for a moment and you feel your cheeks heat up.
"I uh think I'm getting full... Don't want to eat too much in one sitting," you try to play it cool but your voice cracks and you want to crawl under a rock and bang your head against a wall.
"Understood, I can save the rest for when you're hungry again. I'll put this up and draw a bath for you," he nods before standing up.
Your stomach sinks when you remember that you have nothing to wear after you get out of the bath.
"Oh uh yeah hey Tao buddy, um I don't have a change of clothes so...," you start, making a few nervous and fiddly gestures with your hands.
Tao stops in his tracks and visibly tenses up, "Right, I uh... I put one of my larger shirts for you to wear in there. Unfortunately that's the only thing I own that would fit you so..."
There's an awkward silence between the both of you that is blessedly broken by a loud roll of thunder that shakes the windows.
"That's fine," you finally squeak.
"Alright," Tao nods.
"Ok then," you pat your knees.
You scream internally and beg the universe to help you not make this day any weirder and wilder than it's already starting out to be.

uncertainty | 𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
summary you are Dustin’s older sister, and you have developed a very confussing attraction to your brother and friend's fiend, Eddie. (3.4k),
warnings fem!reader, fluff, hurt/comfort, mutual pining, yearning etc, slowburn friends to lovers, idiots in love!!!, english is not my first language so I apologise if there’s some mistakes, not proof read!
this is based on this lovely ask <3 thank you for the request!
“I’m leaving in five!” You screamed up at the staircase, as you heard the hurried steps of your little brother rushing around.
“I’ll need seven!” He shouts back, voice high in pitch.
“Now you have four, hurry up!” You plead from downstairs, with a short laugh that escaped your lips as you could picture your little brother going absolutely insane, having overslept once again.
“Shit, shit. Okay!”
“Language!” You yelled as you went over the little drawer that held your car and house keys, turning around to pick up your favourite washed up brown leather jacket. Even if your mom kept babbling away about how it wasn’t really that warm, you debated the opposite, having worn it for the last 6 months. Either way it doesn’t really matter what she thinks, she’s not here to tell you anything.
As you opened the front door you squint your eyes at the bright January sun, it was cold, but once you stood up and the light hitted you, it felt as if you were begging to warm up, waking up with the earth, in a weird poetic way.
“Thought you were in a hurry.” Dustin teased at you as he looked up at you.
“I am, come on.” You told him as you teased him back, pushing him a bit so he actually hurries up. “You know, if you actually went to bed when you should” You start saying as you start the car.
“Oh come on!” He replayed in annoyance. “I did go to bed, you know?”
“Yeah, at four in the morning!” You yelled back at him, feeling how truely tired you were. “And you know I end up incredibly tired when I have to go to The Hideout and help out Dust…” You try to make him understand.
“You didn’t sleep?” He asks back, worry on his voice.
“I did, just…” You looked back at his little brown eyes, true compassion for you, you knew he felt bad now. “Don’t worry about it, okay? It’s just, if you’re talking to Suzie keep your voice low okay big guy?” Your voice calms now, feeling bad for having yelled at him.
“Yeah, okay. Sorry.” He replayed softly as he looked down at his feet.
The car ride stayed silent.
As you parked the car and got out to help him as you always had, grabbing his backpack for him, and giving him a side hug you smiled at him.
“Sorry for yelling.” He nodded and started to look out for his friends. “Pick up at five?”
“Yeah.” He said as he started to leave. You nodded at him as he left.
You were tired, but you didn’t actually regret helping out at The Hideout, if anything, John was doing you a favour. It was proving to be rather tricky to find another job, since you decided you would rather be full time anywhere else than half time in Family Video, though you missed hanging out with Steve so much, you kept hope.
And anyways, yesterday ended up being a good night.
A very good night.
Might be the fact that he tips had run high, or that John asked you to come again today, or maybe, and if we’re being sincere, it was because Eddie had come over. Granted, it hadn’t been only him, but it didn’t matter, not if you could only see him.
And maybe it was because your friends had waited for you to finish your shift, and had made it bearable, but again, if you were being honest with yourself, you knew it had been his soft I always like seeing you that had made the night better.
-
“You shouldn’t trust it.” Robin mocked you once again.
“She’s got a point.” Steve continued.
“Oh fuck off you two.” You added, still smiling at them as you did.
“I’m just saying… I mean, you have a massive, incredible, planet sized crush on the dude, so you should know, like make it so important.” She tried to rationalize with you as her hands flew through the hair as she was talking, which only made Steve laugh even more.
“Like you have on Vickie?” You tried to tease her back.
“Hey! Not fair, we’re not talking about me, we’re talking about you.” She sentenced, as she threw the old kitchen rag at you as you all laughed again.
“Oh come on, pick on Steve and his crush on Nancy!” You plead as she turned again looking back at him.
“That was uncalled for.” He said under his breath.
“Just stating the obvious.” You pointed as you turned around to your oven.
As the rambling and teasing continued you checked the time once again. You weren’t that late, and still, you always felt anxious you would be.
Saturday dinners were the only thing that had remained constant through the years, regardless of what was going on, you always found time to see each other, either for a quick sandwich or a full course dinner.
So it felt nice to see them in your house, teasing you, as they cooked the pizzas from scratch you couldn’t help but smile at the picture of them, remembering how hellish last year had been.
Your thoughts got interrupted by the doorbell.
“Is it Dustin?” Robin asked as her head moved to look at you.
“No, Dust is staying at the Wheelers.” You replayed with uncertainty in your voice. “Were you expecting someone?” You ask, looking at Steve, and you see how the corners of his lips start to curl upwards.
“I might have invited Munson over…” A smirk appears on his face, and on yours embarrassed rosy cheeks appear.
-
The warm vapor of the tiny dishwasher hits your face, making it hard to breathe for just a second before you step back and let your hands wash the steam off your face. You take a deep breath, it’s only one more hour until close time, and then you would be free to go back home, back to your bed, and if you're honest, back to overthinking. Thankfully, The Hideout was emptying, and as usual, everyone that left said goodbye to you, and you tried to remain cheerful and respond to every one by name.
“Henderson, we might go too.” Steve yells over the music. As you nod to him you head on to his direction, so you can actually hug him goodbye.
“We would stay but… It’s getting pretty late, we’re sorry.” Robin adds as she hugs you too.
“I get it, it’s alright don’t worry.” You replay as you look at both of them, smiling gratefully that they have stayed this long.
“Actually, I think I’ll stay.” His voice fills you up, low and deep, raspy making your skin tingle. “If you don’t mind.”
“ ‘Course not.” You add, trying to not sound as nervous as you feel looking at him, his brown eyes locked onto you.
“O-key then.” Steve adds with a hidden laugh. “See you tomorrow?” You nod as they leave.
You can’t help but smile as you head back into the bar, feeling his stare onto you, and not only that, but his shy smile too.
Without even asking, you serve him another beer and he takes it, taking a sip while his eyes shine at you. A quick glance at the clock lets you know that it is now acceptable for you to start cleaning up, letting the couple tables that are still finishing their drinks know that you want to leave, and they seem to get the message once they get up a few moments later. They pay you what they owe you and leave slowly.
You take your time to actually close the register, and once you look up, you see the long haired boy returning with the tray of empty glasses and bottles.
“You didn’t have to do that.” You say in a soft whisper, feeling how your cheeks warm up as you do so.
“I know, but you look exhausted, so…” He tilts his head as he looks down at you. “You go sit, and I’ll clean up a bit, okay?” He continues as he starts to clean the glasses and throws away the empty beer bottles. You smile as you circle back to where he was, and he smirks as he watches you do so.
You let your body rest, for the second that it does so, you feel the tiredness catching up to you.
It feels weird, not in a bad sense to have someone taking care of you in that way. Not by anyone, but him. Focused into doing what he has seen you do a thousand times, he even pours you a beer so you can actually relax, but to be honest with yourself, it’s not the alcohol that makes you feel fazed, but him looking at you from time to time as he gives you small smirks and giggles every time your eyes meet. You feel your whole body warming up as he does so, feeling absolutely enamored by the littlest things he does, even the way he pushes his hair away from his face makes you melt a little bit. And still, it just confuses you more and more.
Conflicted might be a good definition.
You are aware that you’ve fallen for him, not ashamed of it, you don’t really care if he knows, but you are scared to find out if he feels the same way about you. You can’t help but let your mind wonder, does he? Does he get as fidgety as you do when you walk into a room? Does he daydream about you in the same way that you’ve caught yourself doing so many times? Does he wish that someday your body is pressed against his as desperately as he does every time your hands meet for just a moment? Does he wonder how your lips taste?
“You okay, love?” He asks. Once you look up to him you feel your thoughts stop all of a sudden, mesmerized by the way his eyes shine at you. It lingers in your brain. lovelovelove. How can someone look so angelic while saying such a silly word, you are not sure.
“Yeah, I..-” You can’t find any words to continue, his hand had found its way to a wisp of hair that had fallen out of place, and even if his touch wasn’t cold, his silver rings froze at the contact with your cheek as he placed it behind your ear, were it originally was.
It truly felt like time had frozen, no words invaded that space. For only a second, it felt like your body was weightless, it felt like if you’d cease to exist, you’d be okay doing so with this being your last memory. His eyes shining only for you, locked intensely with yours, it truly doesn't matter what would happen next if you could just remain frozen in this moment.
But alas, that was just a wish, and time continued to pass. His touch left your skin burning, and both of your faces looked at the ground, trying to understand what that little buzzing you felt was.
As the night advanced, the little bar was clean, and you were ready to leave, though sad might not be the best way to describe what you felt, it surely came close, feeling so calm next to him, you dreaded being separated again, still not knowing if everything you felt was unilateral.
You closed the lights, he turned the music off, and even in shadow, his body was as defined as ever, you’d know who it was in any circumstance you noted. What you didn’t seem to see, was how his eyes could not strip away from you, or how his hands longed to touch the skin on your waist for once.
So, as you closed the back door, and flipped back to look at him, he laid it there, with the excuse of making sure you wouldn’t fall given that the floor had begun to freeze over the night. And maybe because you were so focused on the way your heart was beating fast, hard and loud, you didn’t feel that he did the same.
“Shit.” You murmured as you looked back to the parking lot.
“What?” He responded, his hand still resting on your back.
“Steve drove me here! I forgot… I… Shit I guess I’ll just walk-”
“Fuck off, I’m driving you come on.” He added as he cut you and your rumbling.
“Edds, I live the opposite way of you…” You whisper once again, making him turn around to look at you, his breath falling onto you, watching it as the cold exposes it.
“And I don’t care. It’s cold and you get sick easily, you're exhausted and I like being with you, so…” He begins to walk to his van, his hand finally leaving your back, only to open the car door for you.
-
ilikebeingwithyou
it stays with you, even if it is on the back of your mind, it stays there.
Even when you had to wait for the van to get warm enough so the engine could start, even when the music was loud and all you did was giggle as he screamed loudly the lyrics of whatever was playing in the background.
It didn’t matter now, the van was parked and the music had stopped, and his body had turned slowly so he could look at you once again.
And again, that weird feeling invaded the air, an electricity that seemed to pull you to him stronger and stronger.
A flashing thought, an image of what could be, if you actually had the nerve to let your hand get lost on the back of his neck to pull him closer to you so that maybe your lips could touch his cheek in a thank you gesture, even if you don’t.
But he does something that seems to be just as stupid. His hand finds rest on your upper thigh.
And your eyes look at his rings in an attempt to distract yourself.
“Thank you…” Your voice comes out soft, and slow as your eyes travel up to him. Slowly.
“You… yeah. You’re welcome.” He’s becoming flustered now, his words tangling as he readies for you to leave, but you can’t seem to go yet.
“What?” You asked as you smiled at him, a tired comfortable smile.
“Nothing. I just like being with you. You make it all better I guess.”
Your wordless. As your cheeks get warm and your lips curl upwards, your face looks through the windshield astonished at his words.
“Do you wanna…?”
He nods as he opens his door, rushing to yours.
-
3 am
Time had seemed to pass quickly as you too shared the downstairs couch, at times in comfortable silence, most of the time in unimportant conversations, much preoccupied by what your heart and body was feeling. The warmth his body emanate, now wearing only a black distressed old T-shirt, that let his arm tattoos show, not only that but his muscles seem to flex from time to time, and if you hadn’t been so distracted by his charming simple while he teased you you’d realized that they did so every time your body moved closer to him, in a nervous reflex.
Deep down you know, even if you’re not aware of it just yet, that this might be as intimate as you’ve ever been with anyone. Sex and physical intimacy had nothing against this, seeing him giggle as you talk deep into the night, whipping tears of laughter away from his eyes, as his hand rested once again on your thigh.
Might be the late hour of the night, the dizziness from the lack of sleep or the tipsy thoughts that the beers that you had downed, but you meet his touch, lazily stroking his fingers with your hand, playing with his cold rings. When you are not looking, he lets himself be truly mesmerized by you.
“You seem like you want to say something.” He says, voice low and soft, because let’s face it, it would be ridiculous to speak aloud when it’s only the two of you in your empty house. You feel as his face softens when your eyes look back at him.
“I do.”
“Then say what you need…” He encourages, slowly.
“I’m embarrassed, actually.” You confess in a soft smile, letting your head rest on the back of the couch. His body scooches closer.
“Oh, come on… Please, love?” lovelovelove. He knows what this stupid pet name makes you feel, you’re sure of it.
“You confuse me. A lot.” You finally say to him, your eyes darting around his face, as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion, his unoccupied hand goes to his head, as his arm rests on the same back of the couch.
“I confuse you?” He repeats in disbelief, almost sounds as he is teasing you.
“Yeah, you do.” You admit, your fingers playing anxiously now as your sight avoids him and is instead focused on his rings.
“Well, then… Ask.” He says confident, approaching you even more. Your body in his direction, knees touching, the grip that he has on your thigh grows deeper.
“What?”
“Whatever you wanna know.”
You take a deep breath, as your hands whip your face, preparing you for the embarrassment that you most certainly will feel after you finally open up to him.
“Do… Um…Do you like me?”
“Wha- What?” He sounds shocked, and your face becomes red.
“Forget it, please…” You say, a pleading look on your face as you look back at him. His face, while it is still soft, is focused on you, his eyes that are usually brown appear black as his iris has invaded the whole space, though that happens every time he looks at you, you hadn’t realized until now.
“No, please… I… What do you mean?”
“Shit, okay.” You breathe in, deeply, deciding for one to be brave for once, and to accept rejection if it comes to that. “I like you Eddie. I really do. Not because you are good-looking and all that physical nonsense, but because you make life brighter… I… Fuck… I’m sorry I just… I really like you and I just don’t know if this feeling goes both ways.” You admit, all in one breath, darting between his eyes, his lips parted halfway and your hands that are now under his grip, a warm touch, a spark or maybe a tingle on them.
“You do?” He asks.
“Fuck, yes Eddie…” You admit, embarrassed and frustrated. “If you’re gonna make fun of me just… forget it okay?”
“Love.” He stops you from continuing rambling. “Why do you think I call you that?” You look back at him, shocked now. “I am in love with you. I don’t just like you. I love everything you do. The way you care so deeply about everyone, and how you would give everything you have to give to someone else just so they’re okay. I love how you look when you’re exhausted, ‘cause you get that cute smile trying to make it not obvious. I love when you get flustered, and I love when you let me take care of you ‘cause that’s all I wanna do… I…” You’re both smiling so bright it feels like you’ve just discovered what colour means. “Can I just… Can I just kiss you?” He says as his hand finally leaves his head, to approach your face.
“Please.” You say in return. Begging to finally feel his lips onto yours.
His fingers tuck away your hair behind your ear, letting them rest on the back of your neck. The other one remains on your leg, his hand deepens the grip that it had on it, a soft moan only from that is already escaping your mouth. He comes closer as you both close your eyes, seeing him smile before you do so. And as soon as his lips finally meet, your fingers intertwined with his, as the kiss deepens and it all feels exactly as you wished it did, soft, deep, careful at first, needy in the end. It feels like you’re both air at the other was drowning. It is sweet, and it doesn’t stop. And it won’t stop for as long as you’re together, you finally feel as though you got your answer. He doesn’t like you, he loves you, and you can’t wait to love him back.

strong for too long (san x platonic!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: hii, this is my first fic, (id written it some time back but it somehow got deleted so i wrote it again)
warnings: death of a family member (just two lines), mentions of being tired, being in a depressive episode (in the past)
genre: hurt/comfort, angst (a little)
word count: 1.4k
Tumblr media
being the oldest of her three siblings, and all of the cousins yn had naturally always felt a sense of responsibility growing up, no one had asked her to do it, it was just ingrained in her bones. one might see this as a good thing, and it was, she was always there for people always had a shoulder for anyone to lean on, but this faltered when it came to herself.
she never meant it to be like this, but in the midst of her helping her siblings she had forgotten to take care of herself and now here she was, not willing to lean on anyone and figuring out things on her own.
she and san had been friends since before he debuted and had always been close with the rest of the boys as well.
usually yn was able to hold herself up through the darkest periods of her life, like when her grandmother died, she had played a huge role in all of her siblings' lives, she helped her siblings through the grief and pain of losing her.
somehow she didn't seem to realize that her family was taking advantage of her kindness, her support. once she moved out, hardly any of them kept in contact with her, only coming to her if they needed help. she didn't know how or why it happened but they just grew apart
she knew that her family wanted nothing to do with her, her mother calling just to tell her how ungrateful she was to move away from them though she never said it to any of her other siblings when they did the same, she knew that her mother just didn't like her she knew all this, she just didn't want to accept it
It hurt to accept it, to know that the people who you were there for ignoring you completely, maybe she expected it from her mother, but not her siblings but she had brainwashed as well, she had convinced them to think that they had nothing to do with yn.
since it had been a long time since she had talked to any of her family, most days she had forgotten about the dispute going on with them.
she held herself up when she was losing herself, trying to go day by day, fighting the demons inher head, she pulled herself up from the darkness. not because she wanted to, but because she knew that no one else would do it for her so she somehow willed herself to do so and she did it, she proved to herself that she didn’t need anyone and closed herself off completely,
most days she was able to handle whatever was thrown at her,
today was not most days
today just kept on kicking her down, not one thing was going good for her
she woke up late, bumped her head on the bedside table as she woke up, when she got to work, the boss yelled at her for what seemed like hours because of her being late and in the hurry forgetting her laptop which had a presentation she needed to show today to some clients which in turn getting yelled at even more, her so called ‘friends’ from work seemed extra rude, her phone died in the middle of the day, and she just wanted to go home and have a quiet night to herself to recover from today's events
but no, the universe decided to throw another curveball at her just as she was a few minutes away from her drive home, she got a call from her youngest sister
she picked it up, expecting her sister to want something from her, what she didn't expect her to be doing was sobbing her eyes out while trying to tell her something that she could understand nothing.
yn pulled up on the side of the road, calming her sister down, panicking a little herself for wanting to know what was going on
that's when she heard it, oh how she wished she didn't, how she wished it was something else that she could her but the two words that came out of her sister's mouth were all that haunt d her all the way home
'mom died' was all she heard and then just the wailing of her little sister, she didn't even realize when but she hung up the phone and started driving again
even if her mom was terrible to her after she had moved out, she still loved her to death, she didn’t want to believe it.
she couldn't believe it, didn't want to believe it, the entire ride back to her house was a mixture of shock and numbness.
------
san was in yns living room, sitting on the couch, waiting for her to come home.
he had made some ramen for himself an hour ago and was sitting with his hand on his stomach, satisfied with the meal.
This is how it was like some days, san just showing up to her house, letting himself in with the spare keys he had, that's what happens when you've been friends for so long. he would always inform yn that he was coming over before he left from his own house, shooting her a text
it was around 9 when he heard the rustling of keys from the other side of the door signaling that yn was home. around the time he had expected her to come, what he didn't expect was her walking in like a zombie and go straight to her room, not even acknowledging the man in her living room, a distant look in her eyes.
knowing yn for so many years, he has never seen her like this, she's always been the rock between them, always there whenever san needed a pick me up, he had not once seen her this down, so he knew that there must be something going on.
he slowly went towards her room and heard sniffles coming from across the closed door and his heart broke. he knew yn was strong, but she was closed off and she didn't like to show her emotions but it broke him to think that she was battling demons on her own.
he knocked softly on the door in front of him "yn? honey can I come in?' he asked and heard the sniffles stop for a few seconds, but nothing more. he sighed thinking of what to do next
so he quickly ran to the kitchen, making some ramen plus some add-ins, similar to what he had had earlier to give to yn since he was sure she hadn't had anything since she had come straight from work.
----
after I came home, i just went straight to my room, the words my sister told me haunting my brain.
i heard a soft knock on my bedroom door, and realized it was san. in the midst of all this, i didn't even realize that he was here. he asked if I was fine but I didn't have the energy to say anything, so I didn't. some time later he knocked again and entered with some ramen, multiple side dishes and a glass of water.
"i don't need to know what happened but I do need to make sure that you eat, so here you go." he said, placing the tray on my nightstand.
"but just so you know, if you need to talk, I'm here for you." he said with a smile as he sat on the bed.
before he could say anything else, i hugged him, my head finding the crook of his neck, he wrapped his arms around me, engulfing me under his huge frame.
Every fiber of my body yelled at me to not show my vulnerability but i didn’t have it in me anymore, to hide from people who wanted to help, especially san.
when I felt the warmth radiating off him, i couldn't help but burst into tears, the stress of it all coming all out at once, being neglected, work stress, being strong for all those years and finally, finding out about mom
"you've been strong for too long, it's okay to break, cause I'll be there to pick up the pieces." he said into my hair as we stayed there however long i needed to.

Whatever Stevie Wants 9
Part 8
Chrissy had seen the gang upset. She’d seen them angry and raging either at each other or society, sometimes even at the paparazzi or a rabid fan. She had never seen them, any of them, like this. Even when she got them to calm down enough to tell her what was going on and why they needed to go home, the only way to describe them was wrathful.
She told them to go. That she would handle things on this end and to put their all into helping Steve.
------------------------
Wayne knew Eddie had arrived when he heard tires skid outside. He was sitting in the living room, head in his hands. Beatrice was pacing around but she stopped when the boys started coming through the door.
“Where is he?!”
“We know everything we already told you”, Wayne said, getting to his feet.
“We thought you’d know more”, Beatrice said. “Steve never told you anything about his parents?”
“What does that matter now? We need to find him!”, Jeff yelled.
“AND OUR PUPS!”, Eddie roared.
The room began to fill with sour notes, mostly from Eddie and Jeff but more subdued ones coming from Gareth and Grant as well. They had been riled up the entire trip home and wanted nothing more but to take action.
“I need all of you to get a grip”, Wayne said.
“But Steve-”, Grant started.
“We need to think of his safety too”, Beatrice cut him off. “Why would his parents do this?”
“Because they think we’re not good enough for him.” Eddie started to pace, although it was more like stomping around. “They don’t like us. They don’t like the girls. They’re probably trying to break the bond as we speak!”
Jeff went up to his mother. “Mom, if they do anything to my baby, I swear…”
“We’ll get them back, all of them”, she assured him. “And then we are going to sue those people to the ground.”
--------------------------
Margaret smiled at Steve from across the table. Dessert was done and normally they would adjourn to the next room for drinks. But she didn’t think Steve having any alcohol was a good idea right now and he had spent the entire day refreshing his etiquette. He had done quite well today and she thought he deserved a reward.
“Your father and I are going to have drinks. You may spend your evening with your children. Tell Eleanor that she is relieved for the night.”
Steve had been nearly catatonic the entire day, but he perked up at hearing that. Then he schooled his features and nodded with only the smallest of smiles.
“Thank you, mother.”
He stood calmly and left the dining room, keeping an even pace as he made his way to the nursery. He walked inside and politely dismissed Eleanor. One silver lining was that she was nice, even if she deferred to his mother. He couldn’t exactly blame her for going along with the woman who was signing her check.
Once she was gone, he closed the door and collapsed onto the floor, kissing Violet all over and then Vanessa, relishing in their giggles and gummy grins. They were dressed very nicely in their pajamas, matching sets. He wanted to be happy about how cute they looked but it was wrapped in bitter feelings. Violet looked preoccupied with whatever she was doing with blocks before he came in, so he picked up Vanessa and went over to the rocking chair.
He’d started pumping so the others in his pack could feed the girls and they’d even started the girls on soft solids. But there weren't any bottles of formula and more importantly, he needed a moment to be close with his baby. So he unbuttoned his shirt and she latched on with ease. Steve stroked her hair, smiling so hard, he thought he might cry.
Then Vanessa reached up and gave his face an uncoordinated pat and he did start crying.
--------------------
Steve sat at the table with his mother. They were at a brunch spot to meet with the first of his prospective suitors. When they did this in his youth, Steve could at least sympathize with someone who was also being put through this by their parents. Now, seeing a man twice his age approach, he had less sympathy.
“Findlay, it’s so good to see you”, Margaret greeted him warmly.
“Always a pleasure”, he kissed the back of her hand cordially. Then he gave his attention to Steve. “And this must be your lovely son.”
“Nice to meet you”, Steve held his hand out. He held back the flinch when his hand was kissed as well.
“Likewise.”
Then the man sat and carried on a conversation mostly with his mother. Steve didn’t expect much different. This was basically a business transaction and he was the product being traded. He only needed to respond every now and then. He remembered what his parents told him about this one. His wealth was the most important part to them. His most defining characteristic to Steve was the fact that he was fine adopting Violet, but not Vanessa.
He was well practiced in keeping his negative feelings to himself when it came to these people. He knew speaking his mind wouldn’t get him very far. While his mother and Findlay spoke, he busied himself with eating his food. But he reminded himself to also not eat too eagerly, lest he incur a snide remark.
The brunch ended and things were looking good, at least for his mother and they stood as they were saying their parting remarks.
“I have high hopes for us, Steven. The daughter I would take on…I believe her name is Violet? I’m sure she will get on well with her other siblings.”
She already has a sister. “She already has a sister”, Steve said. He could hear his mother hiss his name under her breath but he ignored it.
“So I have heard”, Findlay said. “But as I told your parents, that one wouldn’t be quite the right fit for my family.”
That one?!
The slap echoed in the tea room and all the conversation stopped. Findlay’s eyes were wide and Margaret’s jaw was on the floor. But she was the first to recover.
“Steven!”, she said through grit teeth.
“No, you’re right, my apologies.” Steve grabbed a plate from a nearby table and threw it in Findlay’s face, painting him in chicken salad. He turned his nose up and walked away, head held high.
He might be forced to meet these people. He might have to pretend to be open to their courtship. But he wouldn’t let anyone disrespect his pups.
----------------------
Eddie was on the phone with Robin. Gareth was on the phone with the police. Grant was talking to Chrissy about the story they’d need to release to the public. Jeff was on a laptop, finding the address for the Harrington estate.
They were going to save their beloveds, end the Harrington name forever, and raise some hell along the way.
Part 10 coming soon

For the requests: werewolf steve and his pack. (I don't want them to call Steve 'mom')
My love, ask and you shall receive! This is still super different from my usual, so hopefully it’s okay. I didn’t edit this, but I know you’ll be kind of there’s mistakes ❤️❤️😘😘 Accidental wolf Eddie? Is that a trope? I’m making it one. Welcome to the party accidental wolf Eddie! - Mickala ❤️
———————————-
Steve was running late. He was never late.
Robin was pacing back and forth, staying in her human form so she could yell at him before shifting.
The kids had all shifted, nervous about doing so without their leader here, but feeling the itch. Robin sent them to Skull Rock already, not wanting them to be around when she tore Steve apart.
Deep down, she knew it was a good reason. Steve wouldn’t have been late if it wasn’t for an emergency.
But she was still mad at him for not trying to call them if he knew he was going to be late. He knew how the kids panicked if he wasn’t exactly where he was supposed to be when he was supposed to be.
Especially since Billy.
Six months wasn’t enough time for them to move on, and even though Steve was going better, his wolf form still showed every scar from the interaction. It was tough for all of them to see, but they dealt with it.
Robin’s head perked up when she heard tires in the distance.
That better be Steve.
The hardest part of having “wolf tendencies” as they all jokingly called it, was the ridiculously good hearing they had in both forms. Robin could hear a pin drop from half a mile away. It proved to be pretty fucking distracting at school.
She could hear Steve’s footsteps coming through the woods, not running, but walking at a brisk pace, like he knew he was in trouble.
He wasn’t hurt then, at least.
Now she wouldn’t feel so bad yelling at him.
When Steve appeared though, he had someone with him. How had she missed the other footsteps?
She recognized him immediately as the school “freak”, Eddie Munson.
She never called him that, didn’t even know the guy really, but he was definitely odd.
She wouldn’t judge though. In fact, she needed to hear this explanation before she started in on Steve.
“Nice of you to show up.”
Okay, so she couldn’t help letting him know she was upset immediately.
“You weren’t kidding she’d be pissed,” Eddie mumbled.
“Yeah, she’s pissed,” Robin said as she crossed her arms. “Why is he here?”
Steve sighed.
“Sorry, where’s everyone?”
“I sent them out already. They’re worried. I’ve been worried.”
Steve looked to Eddie and gestured for him to speak.
“Okay, so this is kinda my fault. I was having a bit of a…uh…wolf problem? And Steve was there.”
A wolf problem. Eddie Munson had a wolf problem.
“What wolf problem could you have possibly had?”
Steve and Eddie shared a look. What the hell was happening?
“Uh. I turned into one?”
“Right. We do that? Like, often?”
“Well, I didn’t before today.”
Robin froze.
Normally, the first shift happened by your tenth birthday, sometimes earlier. It was almost unheard of for anyone’s first shift to happen after 13. So the fact that Eddie was 20 years old and just shifting made Robin concerned.
“Wait, never?”
“Never.”
“You’re sure?”
“Am I sure I’ve never become a werewolf before? Yeah, pretty fuckin’ sure.”
Steve snorted, but Robin sent him a glare.
“So, how did Steve get involved?”
“I was on my way here and saw him stumbling on the side of the road. I kind of panicked because he looked hurt. Pulled over, he was whimpering, I calmed him down so he could shift back.”
“Were you hurt?”
“Hurt my leg when I shifted. But it’s better now. Steve got me ice on the way here.”
Robin looked at the blush on Steve’s face, at the way Eddie was nervously playing with his rings.
“Oh my god.”
They both looked at her with those stupid Bambi eyes.
“You can’t be serious, Steve.”
“What?”
Eddie was inching closer to Steve, watching Robin and Steve talk.
“We don’t even know him! You welcomed him to the pack? He didn’t even know what a pack was an hour ago!”
“He can learn! Plus, he knows Dustin and Mike. He can’t be alone, you know how bad that is for us.”
“But now he’s your responsibility! Don’t you have enough kids to take care of?”
“He’s not a kid! He just needs someone to help him a little at first and then he’ll be just as valuable as all of us.”
“Jesus, Steve. You can’t let a stupid crush join the pack just because you feel bad. What happens when he doesn’t feel the same way? Think about what happened with Nancy.”
Steve felt his heart stop. Eddie let out a growl as he wrapped a hand around Steve’s waist.
Robin backed up immediately.
“Shit. He imprinted on you, didn’t he?”
“Robs.”
“Steve, this is dangerous. No offense to Eddie, I’m sure he’s nice and could maybe be pack someday, but this isn’t good. The kids won’t want to share you like this.”
“The kids or you?”
Robin looked down.
“Both.”
Steve wrapped his arm around Eddie, whispered something to him, then pulled away.
He walked up to Robin, pulling her into a hug.
“Robs, he’s not replacing any of you. That’s the point of a pack, we all have different roles but they’re all just as important. Don’t you think the kids were worried about the same thing when you joined?”
“I just don’t want you to forget that we all need you.”
“I won’t. We all have to help Eddie, okay? Not just me.”
“But he imprinted on you, Steve. That’s really serious. That never happens.”
“I know. It’ll be okay, though. We should go to the kids so they don’t come looking,” Steve said with a kiss against the top of her head.
Robin pulled away and walked over to Eddie, who looked like he wanted to cry.
“You’re scared, aren’t you?”
Eddie nodded.
“You don’t have to be. We’re a family and now you’re part of it, okay?” Robin smiled at him, pulling him into a hug.
Steve nodded towards the direction they needed to walk, smiling at both of them.
It didn’t take long to get to where the kids were, all of them pacing in their wolf forms.
Robin went behind the rock to shift, still nervous to do so in front of everyone. Steve turned to Eddie before he did anything else.
“You don’t have to shift again if you don’t want to. But I need to, and we’ll probably all go for a run. If you wanna stay here, we don’t go far and we don’t go for long.”
“I wanna go.”
Steve smiled.
“Then let’s go.” He kissed Eddie’s forehead and smirked when his pack all let out huffs of air. “Ignore them, they’ll be fine.”
—————-
Shifting back to human was always a shock, but never as much as when they all did it together.
“Why the hell is Eddie here?” Dustin yelled as he threw his clothes on quickly.
“Language!” Steve yelled as he touched Eddie’s face, took a quick inventory of his breathing and overall mood. “Eds? Doing okay?”
“Yeah. Stomach hurts.”
“That’s normal the first few times. Just take a deep breath and let it out slow.”
“Steve! Why is Eddie here?” Mike asked.
All the kids surrounded them, Robin standing to the side with Max, helping her braid her hair again.
“Guys, he needs a minute.” Steve ignored them all, pulling Eddie close to him so he could relax against his shoulder. “Today was his first shift and he imprinted.”
“On you?!” Mike yelled.
“Mike, if you can’t chill out, then you need to leave.”
“Oh my god. You made him pack already, didn’t you?”
Steve ignored them still, his focus entirely on Eddie, busy helping him get his clothes on.
Steve kissed his forehead and turned to the group of kids with their mouths open.
“Holy shit.” They all said at once.
“I’ll answer your questions later. Eddie’s had a rough day, and he needs to get to a place where he can rest safely. You all remember how exhausted you were after your first shift. And you expected it. Eddie didn’t. Give him space.”
“But.”
“No buts. Robin’s gonna get you all home and we’ll talk tomorrow. But yes, Eddie’s pack, which means we all take care of him. This isn’t up for discussion.”
Luckily, the kids didn’t argue, and Robin was quick to follow Steve’s instructions.
Eddie was shaking in his arms, but he was still focusing on breathing, and letting Steve help him through it.
“You’re doing amazing, Eds.”
“This gets better?”
“It gets easier. It helps being part of a pack like ours, too.”
“They don’t want me here,” Eddie sounded sad, his body slumping completely into Steve’s side.
“Honey, that’s not it. They’re just used to it being us. They did the same with Robin.”
“I want them to like me.”
“You already know Dustin and Mike do. They’re just surprised is all. Everyone will love you.”
———————
Steve was right.
The next day, Eddie was woken up by all of the kids jumping on him and Steve in Steve’s bed, but he didn’t mind.
They all cuddled around them, Dustin claiming the small space between them.
Steve explained how he found Eddie, Eddie explained what he was feeling.
He explained how he felt with the imprint on Steve, how he felt slight panic the moment Steve started to separate from him. How it helped to be invited into the pack, but he still felt a pull to him.
That he didn’t realize this was even possible for him and as far as he knew, no one in his family were werewolves.
But much to Steve’s delight, the kids welcomed him with open arms. Literally. They all pulled him into a group hug and told him they were happy he was here.
Robin sat at the end of the bed, smiling at Steve.
She thought about how he’d been telling her only a week ago that he felt like their pack wasn’t complete, that it felt like a piece was missing.
But it looks like he found the piece. They all did.

Trafalgar Law x Black reader. Let me mend your broken heart. (WARNING THIS IS LONG 😭 I'M SORRY)
You had feelings for your best friend Ace but he gets together with your stepsister Vivi Main while her ex-boyfriend Law sees this as a win-win situation. ⚠️ warning Angst, rejecte⚠️
Everyone is in University
Tumblr media
You were in your room lying on your bed staring up at the ceiling, you feel your phone vibrate but you don't bother to pick it up, you already knew who it was, you just didn't want to answer, you just wanted to be left alone why didn't anyone understand that?
you look at the stuffed teddy bear that you got from Ace and throw it across the room near the trashcan hiding your face in your pillow.
"Y/n come on you're going to be late for work!"
Speak of the devil herself. You get out of bed opening the door, There stood your stepsister Vivi looking at you with a frown on her face.
"Vivi I took the day off why are you knocking on my door?"
"Oh well I wanted to see if you were feeling okay."
"I'm fine."
"You sure? Because Nami said you haven't been answering your phone and everyone was kind of worried?" You let out a tired groan.
"My phone was off didn't want to be bothered today." You say hoping she'd leave you alone but she just stood there still staring at you with a frown.
"You know if something is bothering you-"
"Like I said before I'm fine Vivi! So just leave me alone already damn it!"
She flinched at the tone in your voice, before she could say anything you closed the door in her face leaning on the door and letting out a loud sigh.
" Great now you've done it she's probably already texting Mom and telling her that I yelled at her for no reason."
You glance at your mirror and there is a picture of you and Ace at the fair making you feel sad all over again, there is a reason why you didn't want to answer any of your phone calls from your friends or from Ace
Flashback
"Huh?"
You stare at Ace who has a big grin on his face with a blush.
"I asked out Vivi isn't that great?"
When...when did you even-?
"After I got off work I asked her if she wanted to be my girlfriend and she said yes I was surprised that she'd even consider a guy like me!
You just stare at him like not know how to process this information the feel your whole world go crashing down
"Y/n? Hey, you okay?"
"Uh yeah, I'm sorry but when did you even start liking Vivi?"
"I've kind of always liked her when she first moved into your place but I was too scared to really say anything."
Okay, that just made you feel even worse he's liked her since we were kids? When you first met Vivi and her dad, she was 14, you were 12 and Ace was 13 during those whole years growing up Ace never showed any interest in liking her at all at least that's what I thought.
"Does anyone else know?"
"Huh? Oh well, I guess everyone knows I told Marco, Sabo, and Luffy who then probably told his friends."
"And when was this? "
He looked at you with a nervous look on his face.
"Monday."
Monday?! So last week?!
I got up from the table Ace looked at you concerned.
"Y/n?"
"I'm sorry Ace I just remembered something really important came up I got to go oh uh but congrats on your new relationship!"
You give a thumbs up with a forced smile and speed walking out of the cafe he calls out to you but you are already out the door when you are out of sight of the cafe you hide in an ally way holding your chest and trying to breathe that's when the tears started to fall down your face the worse part it started to rain.
End Flashback
Maybe if you would have told him your feelings sooner but then again this was you vs Vivi we were talking about here. She was beautiful while you were just plain and boring, Nami said you were pretty too even the guys would say you were cute and any guy would like to have you as their girlfriend, pretty sure they just said all that to make you feel better. Even your own mom would boast about how great, smart, and beautiful Vivi was it would always hurt your feelings a bit because she made it clear she would wish Vivi was her real daughter instead of you she never said it but she sure as hell didn't try to hide.
"Hey! Y/n!"
You turn to see Nami running towards you with a really pissed-off look on her face if you got a closer look you could steam coming out of her ears.
"You idiot why the hell didn't you answer your phone?!
"Sorry, my phone wasn't working."
"For five days?! Bullshit!" She says stumping her foot on the ground you frown as people pass by seeing the two of us yelling some even whispered making you embarrassed.
"Okay, okay I'm sorry Nami look I didn't get any sleep last night and I'm here now so please let's just forget about it."
she didn't like that reply and grabbed your shoulders shaking you back and forth and making you dizzy.
"Forget? Are you kidding?! You hade us all worried and don't get me started on Ace-!"
"Nami-Swannnnnnn!!!!
"Not now Sanji I need to hey where'd she go?!" She stared at the spot you were standing in and noticed that you were gone.
"Y/N!!!!!!" People backed away from fear as the ginger was surrounded by fire she was pissed
((Now back to you))
You ran into a classroom hiding from the raging ginger-haired woman who definitely would kill you if she found you. As much as you loved Nami she was scary as hell when angered!
"I should have stayed my ass at home." You say not noticing the other person in the room until they spoke.
"Me and you both..."
you turn your head and see a man wearing a fur hat and a uniform sitting at the front desk holding a medical book your eyes widen when you realize who it is.
"L-law??"
Yep that right people the one and only Trafalgar Law another University student who you've seen around campus a couple of times but you also knew him as Vivi's ex-boyfriend.
"Hi." You gave an awkward wave still sitting on the floor.
"Let me guess hiding from your friends?
"Yeah, I kind of pissed one of them off sorry for interrupting."
"I haven't seen you on campus or at the music store, everything good?"
"Oh uh yeah just need to take a break from everything ya know? Wait how did you know I worked at the music store?" You didn't even think he would even notice you not show up to class let alone at your job. Hell, how did he know where you work?! He just gives you a shrug getting up from his sit walking towards you.
"I've passed by there a couple of times on my way home from the hospital."
"Oh, that makes sense!" You stood up dusting yourself off trying to look halfway decent.
I'd forgotten he worked at the hospital which is a couple of blocks away from your job Law had a name for himself at the hospital and on-campus people called him the surgeon of death which was pretty cool you didn't understand why Vivi broke up with him he was smart, cool and pretty hot if I do say so for myself. I mean the dude was tall had tattoos on his chest and arms pierced ears and a tan he also had bags under his eyes probably from lack of sleep but he was cute.
"Ah, so my reputation has reached that far huh?"
"Oh yeah! Luffy wouldn't stop talking about how awesome you were helping his grandpa at the hospital pretty impressive."
"Thanks even though you're not the first person to say that it's nice to hear it from you Y/n ya."
You feel your cheeks get warm at his comment which causes him to smirk at your flustered expression.
"W-well it's just I always thought you were pretty cool!"
"Oh really? Was that before or after I was dating your stepsister?" He asks leaning on the wall next to you you look at him surprised a bit that he didn't refer to Vivi as your sister like everyone else does even Ace does it he tries to get you to warm up to the idea of Vivi being your sister but you just really all up to it you respected her sure but you didn't see her as a sister.
"Before. Honestly, I was surprised that she broke up with you I mean you're a doctor for God's sake, and...." You glance up at him his grey eyes already looking at you.
"You're...kind of attractive."
You shyly look at the ground trying not to let him see how flustered you were he just gave a chuckle.
"Well thanks and don't worry you're not the first to say that, my friends also said the same thing but I didn't really care that much to be honest."
"What do you mean?"
"We only went out for 3 weeks it was fun but we weren't that serious."
"Huh but weren't you the one who asked her out?" He gave you a confused look crossing his arms.
"No, she actually asked me out."
He let out a scoff getting closer to the point where you could feel the warmth coming off him.
"I want to ask you something."
"Well I'll be stuck here for a while so ask away!"
"Is the reason why you just disappeared off the face of the earth because of fire fist right?" You flinch at the question and glare at him.
"No and last I check my relationship with Ace is none of your business."
he held up his hands in defense backward a bit.
"What do you know about me and Ace anyway?"
"I know you've had feelings for him for a while and now his dating Vivi."
Your face went from anger to embarrassment looking away from him he then gave a sigh.
"I don't blame you though when I found out I was kind of annoyed." You looked back at him confused.
"Why would you be annoyed? I thought you said it wasn't that serious so why do you care about who she dates?"
"You're right if it was anyone else I wouldn't have a problem with it but because she's with Fire fist knowing your feelings for him puts me in a bad mood."
He stepped closer now into your personal space, what he did next made you freeze. He moved his hand up and touched your cheek moving a braid from your face to see your eyes which were still puffy from crying all week.
"You shouldn't be crying over that idiot."
You didn't say anything but look at him feeling your heart beating fast he was making you feel nervous and his hand touching you didn't make it any better.
"Instead of wasting your time on him, you should find someone more suitable."
"Oh and who do you suggest Mr surgeon of Death?" You ask him in a mocking tone to cover up uneasiness. He looks into your eyes his thumb rubs your cheek leaning down a bit to the point both your noses touch my eyes widen thinking he is going to kiss me but he just backs away from you walking back to his desk to pick up his bag and books.
"After classes are over me meet me at th front gate yeah?"
all you could do was nod your head face still on face, he give a smirk walking passed you. Leaving you standing there like a statue.
What the hell was that?!?!
The whole day you couldn't get what happened out of your head. Why did he do that? Why did he touch my cheek? Was...was he flirting with me? No way!
"Y/n? Hey, pea for brains answer me!"
"Is she dead?"
"What? No, she's probably just exhausted!"
"Maybe she needs meat?"
"Luffy not everyone is a greedy glutton like you!!"
you felt someone flick your forehead making you snap out of your thoughts you looked up to see Luffy and Zorro standing in front of you.
"Finally the princess awakes from her slumber."
"Yeah, you were really out of it Y/n!"
Luffy wrapped his arms around you in a hug you just pat his head. You always thought of Luffy as a little brother and always used to babysit him when Ace and Sabo couldn't he even called you big sis once in a while. So he was probably bored that you weren't around to play with him or give him food.
"Sorry just haven't been getting any sleep."
Zoro gave you a frown arms crossed.
"That's why you didn't show up for the last couple of days?"
You nod
"Or answer any of our calls?"
Again you give a nod not looking him in the eye, he gives an annoyed sigh making you look at him he holds his head in his hand.
"Hey Luffy? Sanji said he had food waiting for you."
With that Luffy ran out of the room leaving you and the green-haired man alone he sat down next to you.
"I didn't want to say anything in front of Luffy but is this because of the whole Ace and Vivi thing?"
You hesitated but gave a nod no point in lying to Zoro of all people he could read you like a book.
"Geez Y/n I knew you were upset but-"
"I'm fine really it's just I'm still not sure how I didn't see it. "
"And you're upset we didn't tell you?"
"Maybe a little? I mean I know it's partially my fault too for not confessing my feelings sooner but it just had to be Vivi of all people like seriously?!"
"Yeah I was a little surprised too "
"So we good?" He looks back at you bumping against your shoulder you give a grin.
"Yeah just need a bit of space for a bit." He give a nod understanding he let out a yawn getting up from his seat.
"Okay, fair enough but fair warning Nami is still very pissed."
That made me shiver in fear of the image of Nami rage coming your way.
By the end of the day you turned and felt your heart drop to your stomach there at the gate stood Ace who was laughing and grinning at Vivi who stood there blushing with a smile on her face holding his arm tightly. You debating on walking towards them or trying to walk past them but then Ace would probably try to bomb you with multiple questions on why you didn't answer any of his texts or calls or why it didn't show up on campus you honestly did not want to deal with any of that today before you can turn around and head back the other way you heard someone called me for you.
"Oi! Y/n ya!"
You turn to see Law standing there waving his hand at you, you glance and see your friends (the straw hat crew Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Chopper, Nami, and Luffy) looking at you as well as the happy new couple. You nervously speed walk over to Law holding your books in your chest.
"Ready to go?"
"Uh, where are we going exactly?"
"You'll find out when we get there.
"Wow, what a subtle answer."
He noticed your hesitation it looked back behind you raising an eyebrow.
"Or would you rather be here and get a ride from the lovely couple?"
"Bike ride on the death trap it is then!"
You took the helmet out of his hand put it on then got on wrapping your arms around his waist. You stared back and you saw Vivi's confused and red face possibly from anger, your friends were also shocked but Ace's face looked lost and his mouth was open. That was the last thing you saw before Law sped off in an unknown direction far away from campus, away from your friends. The whole time he was going fast making you hold onto him tighter he glanced over at you.
"Alright then just try to hang on tight okay?"
You give a nod holding him tightly with eyes closed, you could have sworn you heard him give a small laugh over the wind. An hour went by before you knew it you were at the beach.
"You brought me to the beach?"
"Seemed like a great idea at the time." He helps you off the bike holding your hand you can't help but notice how warm his hand is or how much bigger they are compared to your own.
"Want some ice cream?"
"I didn't bring any money with me."
"I'm paying don't worry."
We got some ice cream and talked for a bit it was nice to clear your mind of everything and the ice cream was so good it was sweet of him to take you here but couldn't help but wonder why? I mean this is Law we are talking about here he's not nice for no reason right?
"How you feeling?"
"I'm okay, thank you for bringing me here, it was really sweet of you Law." You smile at him he gives a hmm looking to the side so you won't see him blush.
"I'm glad I could help but there's actually a reason why I wanted to bring you here."
We stopped by the shore you could hear the waves and feel the wind on your cheek it was nice.
"I have something to confess." You turn to look at him and he looks a bit nervous?
"Is everything okay Law?"
"Yeah just I know this is gonna sound a little bit weird but..." He rubs the back of his neck not looking at you he was silent for a couple of minutes before clearing his throat.
"Y/n I like you, will you go out with me?" You stood there silently blinking up at him.
"Huh? Huh?!?!
Tumblr media
"I'm guessing you weren't expecting that?"
"Of course I wasn't expecting that!" You stared up at him face flustered from his bold confession, like come on what kind of guy asks out his ex-girlfriend's step-sister? It's like I'm in a TV drama or something!
"Yeah, sorry guess that was stupid."
"Oh no no of course It's not stupid! It's just a bit of a surprise!" You rub your arm looking down at the ground face getting even more warm than before this was a lot to handle.
"We don't have to go out right this moment but I want to get to know more about you, if that's okay with you?" He took off his hat so you could get a better look at his face he had a soft expression and a look of determination, your heart was beating fast from this like super fast, were you having a heart attack? No of course not! But you didn't know what to say to him and besides it would be so awkward.
"You don't have to say yes...But I want you to know one thing." He took a step closer to you gently grasping your hand into his own.
"I'm not doing this because of Vivi. What I said before was true I don't care about her or who she dates."
"But...why? Why me of all people?"
"Because I like you Y/n, I know it's not much but please just give me a chance."
"I just don't know, don't get me wrong I'm flattered that you decided to confess your feelings but aren't you worried about what everyone else will say?" He let out a small laugh.
"I could give a damn about what they say but let me guess you're worried about what Vivi will say? Or is it because of Ace?" You frown at the mention of Ace.
"Ace is someone I care about and I know I may sound pathetic when I say this but I can't help but still like him."
"It's not pathetic. You have a right to feel that way, no one has the right to tell you otherwise." You couldn't help but give a tiny smile at his words.
"Though I'm still a bit upset about him and Vivi I have to accept the fact that he will never see me in that way."
"So I'm willing to accept your offer." You stared at him with a shy smile. He raised an eyebrow staring down at you with a smirk on his face.
"Oh really?"
You give a nod still holding his hand but this time having a tighter hold.
"Mmh I want to get to know more about you too Law, so please let's get to know each other okay?" He lifts up your hand to his lips and gives your knuckles a gentle kiss causing you to blush.
"Sounds good to me Y/n."
"Woah there boy you keep this up and I might pass out!"
"Don't worry sweetheart I'll take care of you I wouldn't be a good boyfriend or doctor if I let you pass out."
"B-Boyfriend?! Hey now I thought we were supposed to be taking things slow!"
"We are and I'll start by mending your broken heart."
Wow I guess I am now in a relationship with Trafalgar Law, oh boy something tells me this year is going to be crazy I just wonder how everyone's gonna react to this
(with the crew)
"Hey Nami?"
"What's up Usopp?"
"I bet you 50 bucks Law took Y/n on a date."
"Eh? Nah make it 200!"
"I don't have that much! I'm broke!"
Tumblr media
To be continued maybe? I honestly have a lot of fun writing this I kept having a lot of writer's block cuz of Life kicking me in the ass so I'm happy I was able to finish this it took me a couple of months but it's done I hope everyone who reaches liked it so far sorry if there's a couple of grammar and spelling mistakes

“You need to get out there and get a real job! You can’t just keep living off of a dream that you know will never work out.” Your mom nagged at you all day, she tried supporting your small business but she was fed up with you because it wasn’t going anywhere.
“Your mothers right. You know what I could ask my boss if we’re hiring at the moment, he could get you kickstarted at a job in the company.” Your dad added to the conversation. You held your head in your hands at the dinner table, you did not have the energy for this tonight.
“I’m not working at your stupid office job, I’m not gonna get stuck in a 9 to 5 and not have a life like everyone else my age. This business is going somewhere, it just needs time.” You retorted. You were tired of their nagging, but you knew they would give you a harder time if you up and left.
“Making jewellery out of trashy beads is not a way of living! You will give up, and when you do don’t even think about crawling to us because we warned you.” Your mother yelled, startling you. You tried hiding the fact it startled you, so you asked her calmly;
“May I leave now?”
“Yes, you may.” She snapped, leaving the table herself.
When you pulled into the porch of your small home that you and Abby rented together, you were immediately bombarded by messages from your ex.
Ellie: hey
Ellie: r u busy tnite
Ellie: I know ur seeing my msgs, answer me pls
Ellie: cmon babe I just wanna talk.
You switched off your phone, you couldn’t be arsed with her usual shit. It had been 3 weeks since you found her fucking another girl at a party. 3 weeks since you ended everything with her, and 3 weeks since she started spamming your phone with apologies and horny texts.
Once you walked through the door, you kicked your shoes off and your breathing came uneasy.
“Hey where have you been? It’s pretty late I was getting worried.” Your amazing roommate, Abby, asked. She noticed how your breathing had hitched and tears brimmed your eyelids, threatening to fall out at any given moment.
“Hey it’s okay. Cmere.” She said, before gently grabbing your hand and walking you to the living room. You both sat down on the sofa, and she looked into your eyes with concern.
“Wanna tell me what’s happened?” She asked softly. Her voice alone was enough to send you over the edge. The tears fell down your cheeks as the dam broke, she knew that she didn’t need an explanation, all she needed to do right now was to make sure you were comforted.
She wrapped her large muscular arms around your back, pulling you into her chest. She rubbed small circles into your ribs, trying to soothe you.
“Try to focus on my heartbeat okay? Let my heartbeat be the only thing on your mind.” She whispered into your ear. A few moments passed, and your tears had stopped. The dam had dried. She still drew circles into your back, in an attempt to keep you calm.
Eventually you pulled away, slightly. She was still holding onto your shoulders as she looked into your eyes.
“Wanna tell me what happened?” She asked softly, trying not to pry.
You sniffled as you wiped your eyes, noticing the tear stains on her sweatshirt.
“Sorry about your shirt..” you sniffled again.
Abby let out a quiet laugh. “Don’t you worry about my shirt, I don’t mind as long as you’re okay.” Abby spoke, her voice bringing you the peace that you oh-so needed.
“I don’t really wanna talk about today..I just wanna sleep it off if that’s okay.” You spoke, not looking at her.
“Yeah that’s fine. I won’t push you to say anything.” She smiled.
“Can you stay with me tonight, please..?” You asked, your heart beating slightly faster.
“If it will help you sleep, of course I can.” Abby smiled softly at you.
When you both got into bed, she wrapped her meaty arm around your waist, pulling you closer.
“Don’t you worry, I won’t let anything or anyone hurt you while I’m around.” She whispered into your neck as you fell into a blissful sleep.

"You couldn’t behave just this once? You had to embarrass me infront of my colleagues," Bucky mumbled, as slumping down on the couch.
You recently started working with your father, as an intern of course. You were still in college but it was summer, and unfortunately your summer plans got cancelled. As a birthday present, your mum had bought a trip to Paris. Just for the two of you.
Unfortunately, before the end of the semester, she got into a car accident. When you got to the hospital, she was in surgery. You and Bucky waited there for hours. Steve came by to try to get you both to go home but neither of you moved. Finally, the doctor walked over to you guys. The pitiful look on his face already making you queasy as he said the words that changed your life in an instant. She passed away, she didn’t make it.
Bucky thought that maybe working with him this summer could help you take your mind off of things. At first, it was actually nice to have work as a distraction. But lately, the workload has been more than usual. It’s been tiring and hard but you’ve been trying your best. Today, however, someone else made a mistake and you got blamed for it. You tried to stand up for yourself but no one would listen to you. You looked to your dad for help but Bucky just shook his head and apologized on your behalf.
“I didn't even do anything! Why do you always have to argue with me" You yelled once again, as you threw your bag on the couch.
"I don’t want to argue with you, but you messed up and you need to learn how to take accountability for your actions!" Bucky yelled back, no longer caring about keeping his voice down.
You scoffed in response, "I wish Mom was still here, she wouldn't do this to me. She would stand up for me, she wouldn't believe some other kid over me."
"Fuck I wish she was here so she could see you right now, she'd be nothing but disappointed in you. Thank fucking god she's not here to see you like this, she'd be so fucking ashamed." Bucky instantly regretted what he said, but it was too late. The harsh words already left his mouth, and there was no taking them back now.
You both stood there like that until the sound of the front door pulled you out of your thoughts. You noticed Steve had walked in with takeout in his hand. You completely forgot he was coming over for dinner tonight. You looked back at Bucky before running upstairs to your room.
"Wait sweethear-" Bucky got cut off as you slammed your bedroom door shut. He quickly got up to follow you but Steve stopped him.
"Just let me go talk to her first.” Steve said, knowing you’d be too upset to see Bucky right now.
“I didn’t mean to say that… I just felt guilty when she said what she said…I didn’t mean to h-hurt her, fuck please just go check on her.” Bucky quickly wiped the tears away, knowing there was a chance you wouldn’t be able to forgive him for what he said.
Steve patted his back, before making his way upstairs to your room. His heart broke listening to the quiet sobs coming from your room. He lightly knocked on the door, “Angel, are you in here?”
“Go ‘way, don’t wanna talk…” You mumbled, putting the covers over your head.
“Come on, angel, you don’t have to talk it’s okay, I just wanna make sure you’re okay.” Steve waited for a few minutes, hoping you’ll let him in soon. He sighed before turning the doorknob, surprised to find it unlocked, and walking in.
He walked over to you, and sat down on the bed before carefully moving the blankets down. You looked up at him, with your tear-stained face, still sobbing quietly as you kept thinking about what Bucky said.
“Oh baby, look at you. All these tears don’t look good on my angel, come on let’s dry these up.” Steve carefully wiped away all your tears with his sleeve before pulling you closer to him to let you lay your head on his lap.
“H-he said that…” You couldn’t even finish the sentence. You wanted to tell Steve the harsh words you’d heard earlier. You didn't know that he already heard them as soon as he walked in. It took everything in him to not beat the shit out of Bucky at the time but he knew you needed him more though.
“Shh shh, it’s okay, he didn’t mean it. You know how much he loves you. He didn’t mean what he said, I promise. And I know for a fact that she’d be nothing but proud of you if she was still here.” He quickly shushed you, not wanting you to cry again. He tried his best to soothe you with his sweet words. It helped a little but you couldn’t help but wonder if Bucky was right. Would she be disappointed?
“Do you think she’d be disappointed in me? If she ever found out about us? Actually, do you think he’ll be disappointed in me if I ever told him about us?” You mumbled.
Steve thought about it for a second before replying, “Maybe at first, but I’m sure he'll come around. He'll will have to come around, angel, because I’m never letting you go.” He mumbled, burying his face in your neck, making you giggle a bit.
“I miss her alot…” You mumbled, as you could already feel the tears making their way back.
“I know, angel, I know. We all do…” Steve laid there with you until you fell asleep. Stroking your hair, and rubbing your back every now and then. All he wanted to do was take your pain away. You didn’t deserve to feel this way. You were his angel, all he wanted to do was protect you.

Warning: this is an emotional writing about me failing my bachelor and what happened to me today (there will be some little disturbing stuff, you've been warned)
Today was the most heart breaking day I've ever had in my life with the bachelor, not because its the first time I've failed it, that was not the problem I don't care if I failed it again, I've got a shock attack of what happened before me knowing that I failed
so I was waiting for the official site of the bachelor result to open, as I got a call from my father that my school got some results early and they got mine, and they said that I had a 13.08/20, and I was overwhelmed by the happiness as I rolled in tears and got on the ground smiling as my mom cried with me joy tears, I was so happy I've never got a 13 before since I was a middle school, as I believed that I really worked on this year's bachelor, but after exactly 40 minutes, something happened
My father called again, as he said that the result that my school gave him was a mistake, they said that they've been wrong with my name and they gave me my cousin's result that lives right down my feet, since we share the same family name...
I had a shock attack as I heard my mom said: SHE DIDN'T GOT IT??! I fell on the ground half unconscious, as my mom panicked as she yelled at my father for not telling us sooner, she was way weaker than me she doesn't know how to handle these kind of situations, right now she is still trying to hold her tears and trying to calm down for the past 7 hours from what happened
As for me, I was on the ground as my younger brothers helped each other laying me on the wall, I couldn't move, I couldn't talk, I couldn't cry, I couldn't do anything, I only tried to move my eyeballs only slightly trying to look and process what was happening around me, which I didn't, my father came and tried to calm my mom, as he was shocked to see me on the ground sitting and unable to move, both of my grandma and aunt tried to talk to me, I couldn't listen, they tried to wake me up from the ground, that didn't work either, my dad even slapped me to gain some conscious, that didn't work too and didn't even felt the slap, I was on the ground only looking at the wall beside me, not even trying to blink for an hour and a half, as my mom stoped crying loudly and only swinged back and forth, I got up, gave my father my laptop to double check on my actual result, and went to my room, layed on the bed on the opposite side, I finally felt the pain from the shock earlier, it was painful, really painful, but luckily my other aunts and uncle called me from the US and canada and told me that all my aunts and uncles redone their bachelors more than two times when they were on my time and age, they convinced me that faillng mine is not really something to be really worried, and everything should be okay you really don't have to be worried, I wasn't shocked about the fact that I failed it, what I was shocked about is that me thinking that I got my bachelor was a lie, this was gave me a heart attack and almost died at this point
I am fine right now, only my eyes tired from crying both from happiness and pain i felt before as i am writing this, sorry if i made some of you upset from reading this, and i know that some of you dosn't understand why all of this happened from a bachalor degree and why am i crying over it, as i learned that both Americans and Europeans doesn't necessarily need a bachalor degree to go to university, as for me as an algerian, i need to have a bachalor degree for every specialty that exist in a university that i attend to, and if i don't have it, i either drop out from school, or redo my bachelor without school or with it, so that's why i'm sad and shocked
thanks for every friend that suported me with my bachelor, i've got a 9,80/20 (which its close to the passing degree 10,00/20) , its sad that i lost this one too like last year, but i'm not giving up yet, i am redoing it again next year, but without school this time

"Love Me Dead- Ludo" Part One
“You’re very tense.”
The clock ticks, it’s echo bouncing off the beige walls of the plain, boring room. The couch I sit upon is a sad brown, fitting into the rest of the sad theme.
The window sill has plants on it though, very green and happy plants, a complete contrast to the rest of the snowy atmosphere outside.
“I’ve always been tense,” I say, looking away from the window and at the woman in front of me. She smiles a pitiful smile, sympathy she obviously can’t hide flashes through her green eyes.
“Not always. In your file it says you used to be a very calm and relaxed-”
“It also says I used to have brown hair. How times change,” I smile tightly back at her, sighing as I realize my mistake. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to be so snippy. I’m just tired and I want to go home.”
She looks at her watch, also sighing as she shuts her notepad and sets it on the coffee table between us. She runs a hand through her hair, clearing her throat as she leans her arms on her knees.
“I know this is tough, and I know what he did to you, and I know you want to get better, but this takes time. You can’t rush healing. I’m sending you home, and I won’t add this appointment to your bill,” She shushes my protests, raising her hand and making a ‘quit it’ motion, “You need to go home and sleep. You can’t rush this process.”
My keys clank against the trinket bowl as I shrug off my winter jacket, a soft bell following suit with soft, padded thuds. I grin, taking off my boots and shaking the snow out of my dirty blonde hair. My cat, Winston, meows loudly as I crouch down to pet him.
“You hungry, little dude?” I look at the time on my phone, it reading 5:39 pm. He meows again, butting his head on my leg as I snort and stand up. “Of course you are.”
I walk to my kitchen, setting my phone on the counter as I open the drawer I dedicated to Winston the day I bought my apartment. I pull out wet food for him, opening it and setting it on the ground next to his water bowl.
I lean against the counter and watch him shove his white little face into the bowl to inhale his food.
Shaking my head and laughing a bit, I stop when I notice my phone vibrating. Picking it up and unlocking it, I let out a huh as I open my messages and see my sister texting me.
Donna: I js got a date with the hottest mf I have ever seen
Donna: like smoking hot
Me: someone is actually interested in you? thats a first
Donna: ok ouch
Donna: but yes
Donna: oh and mom decided shes going to stay at your place for the weeknd
Donna: so get ready to clean
I immediately hit the call button as I read her messages.
“She’s doing what now?” I yell into the phone, wincing as I see Winston puff his tail up and look at me.
“Why would you not tell me this before today? Friday is in three days, and my place is a freaking pigsty. Three days is not enough time to clean, Madonna.” I tell her and start looking around my kitchen, noticing everything I know my mom will criticize the minute she walks into my apartment.
“Uh, probably because I just found out today, and don’t call me Madonna. She called me right before I landed the date with McDreamy,” She states and sighs, and I hear her throw herself on what I assume is her bed.
“Besides, your place is never a pigsty. It’s always so clean, I could literally eat off your bathroom floor. Speaking of eat, you should also probably cook something, ‘cause we both know she ain’t eatin’ anywhere else.” The southern accent at the last part of her sentence was absolutely awful, but I understood it enough.
“Right, right, of course,” I sigh, hearing a thunk come from my bedroom as I watch Winston race towards the door.
Remembering the fact that I left my window open in my room, I assume a bird managed to fly its way into there, and that that was probably why Winston seemed so interested in it. “So, what’s McDreamy's name? I don’t think you’ve told me yet.”
I change the subject as I start to walk towards my room to get the poor bird out of there before Winston tortures it. As I turn to go down the hallway, I stop when I notice the bedroom light is on.
“Oh! His name is Badri, and he owns his own company. ‘Jules Jewels’, or whatever. Anyway, he lives in-”
The blood rushing through my ears is loud enough to block her voice out, and the fast beat in my chest definitely does not help.
Thousands of True Crime documentary scenes play through my head where my current situation is the beginning scene of a vicious murder.
I try to swallow down the lump in my throat, but it refuses to leave. I chew on my lip as I slowly walk backwards back into the kitchen, clearing my throat as I walk towards my knife block on my counter. “Sorry, could you repeat that again? You, um, cut out for a second.”
“Mhm! I said that Badri’s sister was getting married next fall, and that she invited us to come to the wedding.” I hum in response, taking out a chef’s knife and taking off the safety cover.
“I’m sorry Donna, but I’m gonna have to call you back. Kensley’s texting me about when our next therapy session will be.” I lie to her, grasping the knife in my hand tightly.
“Oh, that’s okay! I’ll call you later to tell you more, love you, bye!” She says right before I hang up on her, and I put my phone in the back pocket of my jeans.
I go over to my sink, turning on the faucet to hopefully drown out my footsteps and any creaking the floor might do as I walk down the hallway to my bedroom.
I grasp the knife even tighter, furrowing my eyebrows as I hear Winston purr with a deep chuckle and a pop following after. I take a deep breath in, and open the door as quickly as I can.
I drop the knife at the person in front of me, and Winston darts out of the room, startled from the loud noise.
“Go–good evening to yo–u too, sweets.”

Pairing: Layla El Faouly x g/n reader (no specifications!)
Word Count: 700 words
Summary: Conversing with strangers have never felt so right.
Author’s Note: written for my love's @tom-whore-dleston meet cute challenge, I used the prompt "using the washing machines next to each other at the laundromat". Jordan I'm always wishing you nothing but the best, ily <3
Main Masterlist ・❥・Layla El Faouly Masterlist
Tumblr media
You sucked in a deep breath as you pushed the door open to the local laundromat, one big basket underneath your arm. Running late once again as work kept you overtime because "nobody quite cleans you do" so now you were rushing.
Rushing all the time, never having a moment or two for your own self. You scoff at the thought and listen to the grumble of your stomach. Maybe you'd manage to have some time to make some dinner if the place is relatively empty.
You glance around at all the occupied machines, and people standing around and looking or waiting, and manage to spot the only one free. With another sigh, you head to the machine, thankful for your luck, only for someone to cut you.
"Oh, sorry I didn't see you there."
A melodic voice tells you and you turn around to look at a beautiful woman with fluffy hair and a radiant smile, pushing her objects over to the next machine.
"It's alright don't worry." You reply politely watching her haste movements. Looks like you are succeeding today.
"Here, this one is free. I just was trying to separate my clothes. You know how it is, if I don't use different loads on whites and multicolors and blacks I think my mom will show up to yell at me." She rambles on as she is sorting through clothes and pushing them into the different baskets, the washing machine rumbling underneath. Looks like she's been in here for a while and looks like she's gonna be here for even longer.
You laugh at her warmness and her accurate story as you are settling the basket down and nodding your head. "Mothers are something else." You don't sort through your clothes, you don't have a lot anyway, and shove them inside the open door.
"Right?" She chuckles and offers you some detergent. "I got everything. If you need a thing, no problem you can use some of mine."
"That's so sweet of you, thank you." You grab the bottle from her hands and place it in the appropriate place.
"Just being your friendly laundromat gal." She smiles again and you feel like getting lost inside it. Her hair is adorning her face in such a way that shines her delicate features, falling gracefully onto the back of her neck where a small golden chain can be seen peaking.
"I'm Layla, by the way." She extends her hand in a formal greeting which you respond to immediately. First, you notice her hand, a couple of small rings, and then her nails varnished black. You touch her hand and it feels electrifying, like an ocean coming alive, you slightly shake it and nod your head.
"So no name?" She laughs a little realizing you are probably tired. It's late in the afternoon after all.
"Oh, no, sorry, I got distracted. Yeah, I got a name. Y/N."
"Oh, that's beautiful."
"Yours is too." You reply and finally take your hand back, slightly rubbing it on you before reaching for your pocket and looking for the coins.
A couple of moments of silence pass as she organizes her things and you start your machine, once done she heads to the chairs motioning for you to come along.
You follow her, never wasting your time to observe her as she is browsing her phone, pushing her hair away from her face only for it to fall back down again and you sit by her side crossing your arms.
Then your stomach is heard. Aggressive and mighty rude.
"Long day?"
"The longest." You nod your head and look upwards, taking another deep breath.
"Wanna grab a snack?" She smiles. "My treat."
"Oh, you don't have to."
"Oh, I want to."
Maybe some happiness could come after a long day and a beautiful stranger could become one with your heart long before you realized it. Maybe those were the strings of fate getting pulled together. Maybe just maybe you had found your one.
That would be the first one of your many grabbing snacks together and the very start of your relationship.

I spent all my spoons today cleaning. I got all my laundry baskets out of common areas, put all my clothes away folded and organized, and put some clothes in a box for donations. I had vacuumed most of the house save for the dining area and kitchen where my parents were even though it was hurting my hands. I've also been feeling faint bc I haven't eaten in a while and beginning 3 hours before dinner my mom gives me shit about eating and I didn't have any reserves left hidden in my room.
So I go with the vacuum to finish cleaning and open the gate (we have gates to each room to herd the dogs) and immediately my mom is freaking out bc I'm "letting the dogs out". I wasn't. Her screaming at me however startled me and I accidentally knocked over a pill bottle onto the ground which then further sent her into a fit of anger confusing me. This was while I was trying to close the gate as her yelling made me think that was the priority. Literally her screaming caused me to not see the pill bottle being picked up by one of the dogs. I thought her further yelling was bc I had almost knocked over the treat bin trying to figure out what the hell i was doing wrong. And she wasn't yelling anything helpful btw, just yelling at me to STOP and that im KNOCKING EVERYTHING OVER.
My dad eventually stepped in and grabbed the pill bottle and told me directly what happened and that I needed to watch where the hose was. This was much more useful to me than my mom screaming and insulting me.
When I tried telling this to my mom she told me to shut up and I said I'm done and left the room. i heard her yell that shes not giving me dinner and shes tired of being threatened?? I never threatened her??? I just said im not going to do it if shes going to yell at me. Thats not a threat thats me using boundaries.
So now im hiding in my room feeling faint and confused and overwhelmed. I hate that she's using food to control me. Whenever I try to go get food or cook something she gets mad and tells me I don't eat her dinner bc I want to only eat takeout and waste my money. She thinks that everytime i don't eat dinner i sneak out and get takeout somehow?? No i literally just starve in my room and eat after she's gone to bed if I haven't passed out by then (she stays up late).
And my dad says i cant be yelling at her bc it sets her off but most of the time im not I do have a loud voice and sometimes i raise it when shes yelling because im trying to defend myself and im frustrated and i dont handle being yelled at well. She is always the one to raise her voice first. But apparently im just supposed to be quiet and accept her yelling and insults and horrible words. I try to walk away but that just pisses her off and shes come in my room and screamed at me before which causes me to panic and scream at her to get out. Like i know im traumatized and i cant just suppress that panicked reaction when faced with the source of it.
I hate the way she treats me and makes me feel like im just a spoiled adult teenager bullying their poor mother and i have all this guilt and self loathing. But then when I tell my friends what happened they get super disgusted and upset and i see how mothers are depicted in media and i see my friends mothers who arent also abusive and i see the differences clearly.

Left Behind Part 2 (Lucien x reader)
a/n: your wish is my command even if only one or two people wish, it is still my command. Wow 2 posts in one day!
⚠️: few curses
Masterlist part 1 part 3 epilogue
Luciens POV
Luciens words rang through the room before silence fell again. Finally Alex growled and drew a knife. Lucien started at the sight of the blade, he’d gifted that to y/n when they first became a couple.
“I am so such thing. I am y/n’s daughter because my so called ‘father’ never bothered with me.” She snarled and advanced on Lucien. He opened his mouth but no words came out because he knew she was right. He hadn’t bothered with this girl at all. jurian stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Alex to restrain her.
“I- I didnt know you existed, Im so sorry.”
“Sorry dosent cover it, father. You at least could have visited my mom, you two lovebirds were together 37 years after all.” Alex put the knife away and Jurian hesitantly released her. Lucien felt like ducking under the table and yelling I dont exist! Alex started again, “and you broke up with her for a female who has been giving you the cold shoulder ever since you’ve met!” Alex sat down miserably her indifferent mask falling into a mask of anger and longing. longing for a fatherly figure, Lucien realized. this time when Alex spoke her voice was softer, “Mom got a promotion to emissary of the dawn court 5 years ago but she couldnt even enjoy it because you promised her that once she got that promotion, the two of you would go to the winter court together. She hasn’t even looked at another male in that way because she still fucking loves you. You who left her for another, you who never came back, not even to visit. And yet she still harbors the hope that one day you might return her love. She thinks you're worth fighting for.”
The last words were spoken so softly that Lucien had to lean in to hear them. She thinks you’re worth fighting for. She still loves you.
Lucien stood on wobbly feet and rounded the table to pull his daughter into a tight hug. To be the person she fought for and to be the shoulder she cried on.
*****
Y/N’s POV
Y/n couldn’t find Alex anywhere, having just gotten back from a tiring day at work she had searched most everywhere for the kid. God damned 14 year olds. There was only one place left; Jurian and Vassa’s manor. She groaned at the thought of flying there, plus it was dusk, they would have to stay the night. That is, if Alex was even there.
On the flight to the manor, y/n’s thoughts strayed to Lucien. She, Rhys, and Feyre had become good friends during their meetings they had. Rhys had told her Elain still showed no interest in Lucien (something y/n couldnt fathom) and was always giving him the cold shoulder. That made her feel smug.
When she reached the manor, the sun was down and her wings were starting to ache from all the flying today. Alex had better be here, she was going to murder that child. Y/n banged on the door until she heard footsteps on the other side. The door opened and Jurian stood there, when he beheld her he paled. She cracked a smile. “I don’t look that bad do I?”
Jurian smiled slightly thought it didnt reach his eyes. “Nah, Alex is here.” He sighed, pulling her into a hug. “He’s here. He and Alex… talked. I think they’re getting along. Also, why do I have to play chaperone?”
Y/n stiffened at his words but smiled wryly, “because it’s your house.” She brushed past him with a grateful pat on the back as he followed her to the dining room. She was immediately greeted with a hello and hug from Alex. Stepping around Alex, y/n shot her a look that said, you are so getting murdered. Alex had the nerve to smirk.
“Y/n….”
Her eyes went straight to Lucien and she barley held back a gasp. She hadn’t seen him in so long. He was gorgeous.
Y/n and Lucien stared at eachother for what seemed like eternity until Jurian cleared his throat pointedly.
“As much as I love Fae staring contests, Vassa will be here soon so lets prepare some dinner shall we?”
The two broke eye contact and simultaneously glowered at Jurian. Jurian gulped. Alex saved him. “Im hungry so stop staring and be productive.” Jurian shot her a grateful look. Both fae turned their glares to Alex who dragged Jurian into the kitchen.
It was going to be a long night
