Inktober Day 4, Inner Thoughts

I’m going to start and try titling these pieces, just cause how can I not??

Very late, however, time doesn’t exist if I don’t look at it. This was inspired by the thoughts that go in my head, while also being inspired by pretending. We all pretend so I’m sure you know what I mean, normally I pretend around my family and sometimes through texts, you just don’t really notice it because it’s hard to read tones in text.

For no particular reason I decided to make it more colorful than the others I did, which was a pain I had to restart shading thrice. Which was painful af. But it turned out pretty so here ya go- my inner thoughts- at least like- the few I could focus on.

I’m tired but heheee haaaanndssss awaaaaa very therapeutic to draw in a way. The hands don’t really represent anything, maybe they do. I just had the strong urge to add them, so many deep in my subconscious they mean something OuO

LoreTM: Balian (an incubus) was accidentally cursed by a wizard that had fallen in love with him almost two millennia before current events via a wish spell which tied him to the material plane…So, instead of being transported back to the hells upon being slain (and risking a true death there), he is immediately reborn in the mortal realm with whatever memories his brain holds on to.

At one point he strikes a deal with Raphael to glamour him as a tiefling for his own safety (devils aren’t seen as the most trustworthy sort on the mortal plane), so that’s why his horns/body types change so much + he doesn’t have his wings or bright orange-pink skin.

Before signing however, he argues that there should be a clause in their contract stating that the other devil couldn’t collect his soul until Balian was back in the hells (which again… curse prevents that). Having been cheated out of a deal, and no way to change it, Raphael just sort of shows up every now and again to bother him as Balian is one of the few devils not out to kill him for power (and the other debtors aren’t the best conversationalists).

Introduction of both this au’s villains, and more Dart lore! This is for the au we’re Raz is 20 btw.

Firstly, Agatha was working on her reanimated dead in secret, her company makes toxin based weapons basically but they're still not Really doing anything illegal that people know about. The reason people started finding out is that she was dumping "unsuccessful" ones out of the drainage pipes in her factory and they began walking around and terrorizing people. Lili, Raz, Dogen, n Kitty were sent to the city her company's in (dubiously New York City) to sleuth out what was going on! They don't immediately figure out it's her, Dex gets wrapped up into it because of the zombies using C.R.I.M.E. tech. Agatha tried to be super friendly n sponsoring the psychonauts agents at first in order to lead them in the wrong direction ! Kinda a mix between Syndrome and Mirage from the Incredibles plot wise.

She eventually reanimates Dante, but noott very well. All of Agatha's zombies r basically puppeted around by mechanical parts and some psychic tech. Dante is only conscious after she reanimates him too bc he had his brain stored when he died! Agatha's reanimated dead are also reanimated a while after death, whereas Dart was reanimated almost immediately so Dante is practically falling apart compared to her. Dante is definitely not the main villain, and Really does care about Dart, especially since he went through so much effort to keep her alive after he died, but Agatha reanimates him so they can rediscover that same method that worked with dart. Which might become a conflict of interest between Agatha n Dante in the future.

When Dante was alive, he did actually Try to parent Dart, but so much of his time was iust devoted to his experiments and work and cult stuff and holing himself up in his office that they were distant regardless. I mean Dart was kind of just an experiment that he didn't even think would work and he got attached too- there were a good 3 or so years that Dante was sick and dying (probably harmful material exposure let's be honest) and they just Didn't talk about it. They both knew but they didn't discuss stuff like that. I mean they had heart to hearts sometimes but the last time Dart really saw him before he died was kinda 'you're dying and we both know it'. Even when Dante was alive, Dart was really trying to run away from anything ‘supernatural’ or ‘weird’ or dangerous and just live a normal life. That’s kind of why she started going to whispering rock, but after the brain snatching incident she just hid in the outhouse the whole time and then stopped going after.

Since creating my zelda oc Linnet ive developed this silly little headcanon that specifically TOTK! Link has this constant disappointed look on his face. Like he could actually be happy but looks like you told the worst dad joke of your life at him.

I guess that’s what losing your arm, ur kingdoms in peril again and ur gf becoming a dragon does to you (￣∀￣)

Hiya! I hope you're doing well today! I love your characters and how you've structered their bios! Since Chuusday is listed first, is she technically your official WOL or is it someone else? Do you canonically have a WOL in the first place?

Awaaaah! Im doing pretty ok!!! Taking time to answer this as a wind down from Emerald Weapon Ex Brain Soupage. And I’m so glad! ;W; I think I butchered one of those “Get To Know An OC” thingies- uhh… oh [this one] actually! I chopped a lot out and I think added a couple different thingums instead because there was so much to that that it felt overwhelming to try to look at let alone fill out LOL but it was a really good jumping off point uvu;

And!!! Hilariously Chuu was my First XIV Character, so she’s dear to my heart for being the first one- but she very quickly made it known being the WOL even as an AU was something of a Joke (Her character showed great reluctance and even frustration at having to do So Much World Saving, maybe a side-effect of me rushing through MSQ to catch up with my other spouse [Who plays Talia, though they’ve got less time for XIV these days ;0;] and the rest of my friends who were all EndGame already at the time in Shadowbringers fhdjfjsjfs.) So I made…… many alts. Throwing spaghetti at the wall but I have SEVERE side-character/NPC brain and kept making “supporting cast” types =w=; it actually took me like. 3? Alts before making an ACTUAL WoL with my husband (Ishi’li and Kizuna) (as of Right Meow, they’re in post ARR, but we’ve been working on Keathan and Tuesday together because Keathan was… Keathan’s first character in xiv XD so we’ve been jaunting through the story together and experiencing every inch of it so we can pick and choose what The Boys™ get up to when we wanna focus on them x3)

🥰 I knew both speece during at least high school- but I actually knew Keathan as early as Elementary school hehe 😌 tho the speece didn’t proper marry until… i’unno, 2017? (For frustrating legal reasons, I’m not legally married, but. As it goes. Someday we’ll have money to visit the one state that has legal poly marriages. Also I struggle to remember our wedding year 🫢)

Since managing to make a Co-WoL with my husband I’ve managed to make one other Alt meant to be a Solo-WoL (Mochiie) but I have to really wrinkle my brain to sink time into playing him, since I’m trying to take screenshots throughout the story at what I find to be inspiring beats xD And even still he has an alt-universe where he’s just a side-character for the ‘Main Timeline’ (where there’s a bunch of spaghetti and like 8+ confirmed WoL’s and the Msq entourage looks HILARIOUS in canon, someday I’ll get all the data together and take pictures, but I think it’ll cook what’s left of my brain x’3) [it’s less concrete than anything I’ve posted about before or I’d try to explain it ;v;’ it’s just interesting mostly to see how the story gets stretched to fit around a larger community of heroes than a solo guy shouldering the whole burden lmfao.]

I really like Play and Pause and the blue-haired virus-killing character! Please may we learn more about them? I'm especially curious as to the relationships between the three

It’s really funny how you asked this just as I was working on new designs for them haha

I am so glad people are interested in my OCs

Play, Pause, and COR-E (the blue haired one) are A.I.s that live in someone’s phone! Their story is centered around their lives in said phone and all the crazy hijinks that come with technology.

In their world, COR-E is the main system that runs everything/battles any viruses that try to corrupt the system while Play and Pause help with the everyday tasks (although it’s mostly them watching YouTube and searching random things on the internet).

The three of them act like siblings, COR-E being the responsible older sister and the twins being the rambunctious younger ones.

The story is by no means fully fleshed out but those are the basics!
