"(although tbh I think it's time for someone to call Carlos impressive because he IS)"
I know it wasn't the exact same "he's an impressive guy" "he's my dad/son/etc" wording but Owen does say in 2x08 when talking to Gabriel "the only reason anyone made it through the door is because of that brave officer right there *pointing to Carlos (who is so obviously with his boyfriend lmao love him)*... he's an impressive guy."
anon you are so fucking right for this. I mean you don't need me to preach to the choir I'm sure but Carlos. [insert] . Reyes. the man, the myth, the legend, the inappropriately attractive human being. how dare he walk this earth and curse us with his unfailing kindness and the depth of his love for tk and his dedication to do his job well and his ridiculous physique AND HIS DAMN COW EYES.
HE IS SO IMPRESSIVE.
Lets all spiral over it together shall we???? don't leave me here yearning by myself PLEASE.
I think tk said it best when he said:

Mikey and Leo episode centered around Mikey wanting to push Leo and Draxum together since Leo’s the most reluctant to give Draxum any grace (for good reason!) But, thinking on the spot, Leo says he’s gotta go do something for Hueso and “just can’t hang out right now 😔” (yes, he says the emoji out loud.)
Mikey calls his bluff and now the three of them (Mikey having grabbed a weary Draxum along) go to Hueso’s to find that yes, he actually does have a job for him. Said job asks for Leo to go with Hueso to deliver multiple pizzas to this giant yokai quite a distance away, and Hueso figured it would probably go better with Leo’s help (emphasis on probably.)
Well, Mikey decides that this would be a great bonding opportunity for them and basically invites he and Draxum along. Unfortunately for Leo, Hueso doesn’t care enough to wave away more help, though he does side-eye the wanted criminal Baron Draxum coming with them. But who is he to judge? (This choice has consequences.)
The journey goes about as terribly as you’d expect, but at least the pizzas get delivered on time.

If we are really getting the Quirkless Izuku ending, once again manifesting that we get some form of Katsuki wanting Izuku to be his Hero partner or something in the future, despite him being Quirkless
Including some form of the convo of Izuku saying, "but Kacchan I'm Quirkless, I can't be your Hero partner" and Katsuki basically telling him he IS a hero with or without a Quirk
Bonus points of Katsuki calls Izuku HIS hero.
The story would have started out with Katsuki telling Izuku there was no way he'd ever be a hero without a Quirk and pushing him down
And ends with Katsuki telling Izuku that his heroism has nothing to do with his Quirk(or lack thereof) and everything to do with HIM, and picking Izuku up.
Idk if that is what hori will go for but it would be neat 🤷♀️

RIP Krakoa 🌹 I can’t lie I’ve been kinda behind since midway through Fall of X I’m gonna catch up before my first SDCC this summer but I hear Vulcan didn’t see much action anyway. Anyway my hand slipped and I found myself looking into the eyes of my canonically psychotic son the best Summers brother who’s never done anything wrong in his entire life, (he’s done lotsa wrong things but I love him more for it)

Why didn't Luce's get them at least basic self defense lessons? Involved or not it's kinda stupid, he's a mob boss, like it or not his kids will probably be in danger
The thing is it’s been peaceful for at least a decade and even then Luce had bodyguards, people with them at all times. It wasn’t seen as needed it’s that when you’re never alone when you go out because you have the best security money can buy, why bother? That’s what Antonio thought, and also, as good as self defence is, it can’t stop a bullet it can’t stop a sniper and Antonio wanted Luce to not have to worry about possibly dying every time they left the house, he wanted them to have as a normal life as he could give them
And it’s just the way I wanted to construct Luce. It’s a fish out of water story, where the fish should by all accounts not be out of water but is. In the godfather, Tom the lawyer slash adoptive son of Vito is part of the family and in the business but has no self defence and doesn’t know how to shoot a gun and he’s involved in the crime, tony sopranos kids didn’t have lessons in self defence. It’s actually kind of the norm for kids who are barred from the family business to not be trained and have body guards instead. Antonio loves his children so much that he wanted to give them a life where they didn’t have to learn these things that he learned, where they could be normal American citizens
I don’t think it’s stupid, just a slight oversight and you never want your kids to have to defend themself when someone else can do it for them and if they get hurt (Charley) well that’s ok because at least it’s not your kid

also. and this is hot take only like 2 people are going to agree with, so sorry. everyone loves to pretend that Roy is just grouchy with a soft interior but not mean never mean and that's just because they love him and think Roy is a wonderful person and character (which he absolutely is! But he can also be so mean!). Roy has literally always had this trait in him and it rears its ugly head most when he's stressed/anxious/all worked up over Big Feelings he can't process. "How could he be so mean??? My Roy would never!" well Roy has literally always been capable of being that mean, even to people he cares about and even to people who don't deserve it. sorry but it's the truth.

i uate it when kruger says to grisha that he thinks it was important that nazis killed his little sister to inspire his hatred and make him fight back against them i hate that eren heard that and went ohhh okay so i should kill my mom to inspire myself to commit global genocide. got it. I hate eren so fucking bad he's so scary he's so SCARY!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DID YOU GET HERE FROM THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that fucking BOY. regardless. i do love the way aot addresses the nuances and intricacies of fascism and hatred and the way some people just crave violence and will do anything to justify that desire and present it as valiant. eren is such a complicated and human character and that's part of why he's so terrifying. he's not a one note villain isayama himself said that he was upset when he realized eren was the character he related to the most while writing because armin was literally the pov character he was Intended as isayama's self insert. i hate it out here. im going to curl up into a ball i'm so scared of the finale and the revised ending. also i think it's interesting the way that the selfishness of erwin smith's agenda inadvertently inspires eren's brand of fascism. that susumu shit... the fucking scene where erwin asks eren who the 'enemy' is super super early on. the way that meant different things to both of them but ultimately also the same thing (the enemy is those who impede my ability to achieve my PERSONAL goals.) yhey both fought for their own personal desires rather than for the betterment of society. ughhgggghhggsdbbrkcnnndnfkekfbfnfnn the way that erwin's constant calls to action for people to move forward translated to eren refusing to relent on his goals of mass destruction. walking forward and forward and forward with the rumbling at his side ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ FUCKK!!!!! i love yhe way that eren has been the same since the beginning i love that he never changes i love the twist on the hotheaded shonen protag. i love how his goals for 'saving people' were always written as hatred and a desire to 'kill every last titan.' and you're supposed to write it off until you slowly see 'i'm going to kill them all' become more and more blatantly about Just fucking EVERYONE. it's such an amazing feat of writing the way aot recontextualizes itself into a different work when you consume it after learning everything. it's literally such an amazing narrative about the horrors of fascism and war while also humanizing the motives behind it and reminding us that fascists are people who made DECISIONS to be the way they are. that or they were groomed into it! AND ON THAT WE HAVE FUCKING GABI'S ARC going from a brainwashed jewish child nazi soldier who believes she's "one of the good ones" who needs to prove herself to realizing that there were, in her words, "no devils, just people." God don't fucking touch me

not to sound too much like people that say "all the steven universe characters hate people who read killing/stalking" or "sonic the hedgehog supports decriminalizing sex work" or "twilight sparkle would be ashamed of you for being racist" but it is certainly something that orym's character revolves so much around the women in his life and how they affected him and how much he loves them and how deeply he respects his female friends, but half of his fans are so hostile and misogynist towards imogen, laudna and/or fearne to the point where his detractors are convinced he's a chauvinist bully and think he actively hates all of them.

Sorry just remembered like over ten years ago my sister tried to play Oppression Olympics™ between Sasuke and Neji, claiming Sasuke's had a harder life and like yeah his entire family was killed and his brother made him watch it and that sucks.
Neji's family literally owns him.
Look I don't want to compare them or anything, and having to watch your family die is, objectively awful, but being actively kept as a slave by your own family is also an objectively awful thing lol

About your tags on the Lucienne post: oh we usually aren't even half this nice LMAOOO I could be a lot meaner but like. Both our posting about her and also the anger and frustration comes from the same place of love for and fascination with her. There's so much to talk about it's insane
Literally tho like!!!!! she's such a compelling character on so many levels, yet a lot of the fandom reduces her to the "mom friend" or other similarly reductive if not misogynistic stereotypical roles so for me (someone not super involved in the fandom these days) it's so refreshing to see you and others discussing her on her own merits and not just an accessory/afterthought for someone's white slash ship lol

i think were all giving aziraphale a little too much credit for whats motivating him to make his choice at the very end
yes hes a nice guy, yes he likes to take selfless ACTIONS, and yes he probably thinks this action is selfish but...
...the angel is fundamentally pretty selfish, a lof of the time. he is thinking "oh heaven will be good if runs MY way. crowley will be happier as an angel in MY heaven". his view is very self centered- all of heavens problems are just that all the angels in charged were toxic, its not heaven itself.
its not just that he doesnt get that its an institutional issue, he probably does, he just thinks HE can override it. HIS heaven is as good as just as he always believed it to be.
and hes also taking crowley's devotion for granted. its made clear that he knows how much crowley cares for him (the bit where he acknowledges crowley likes to rescue him...and even if you think back to season 1, where he threatens crowley into action where saying hed stop talking to him lol), but isnt quite doing his part to reciprocate. he assumes crowley will just...keep doing what hes always done. he doesnt need to think about it from crowley's side in his pov
because aziraphale has always been the one set in his ways, the bookshop, his fashion sense, while crowley goes with the flow of time and his angel.
and aziraphale refuses to look deeper into that. to see that crowley needs to be accommodated for as well
his big flaw here is selfishness qnd self centered-ness, and that's what hes going to need to work on and applogize for in season 3

No but seriously, I'm fully aware that beating the shit out of an abuser without their victim explicit consent is not going to help said victim in any way and I'm also aware that in the context of The Godfather it's also yet another example of a profundly patriarcal society/culture in which women are seen as extention of their family and where slights against them are therefore considered a slight against their male relatives but like…That scene were Sonny beat the absolute shit out of Connie's piece of trash husband is honestly one of my absolute favorite moment in cinema history, I'm cheering and clapping everytime like fuck yeah Sonny, bite this motherfucker!
