“Have you considered it at least?”

A fragmented voice sounding through a tin-like phone speaker asked with a certain pressure behind it. The kind of pressure you’d only hear from people who wanted something. Something important.

Sebastian eyed the phone hesitantly, placing it on the windowsill while holding his watering can. Little droplets sliding down it’s side as he attempted to water his dried pot of basil - traveling was never something that helped in plantkeeping, not when you’d spend half the year in random hotels somewhere in the world.

He did not feel the need to return to the circus known as Formula 1, having enjoyed his time there but entirely content with retirement. Opposed to some of the others, he thought, he knew when to quit. No longer circling the biggest cities on earth but the supermarket parking lot in hopes of finding an empty spot. More importantly, waking up in his own bed for 7/7 days a week was a major joy to him, a feeling he didn’t feel like giving up.

“You know as well as i do, that we need an  experienced driver. George’s good but… He just can’t give us the direction needed.” Toto sounded quite serious at that moment - Lewis deciding to leave must have hurt him badly, considering him approaching Sebastian.

“Also… I just want someone i can trust to be around me”

Looking up in surprise, Seb almost dropped the watering can on the floor. Lewis leaving had REALLY hurt him.

“I’ve been thinking about retiring from F1 now. But they’d probably cancel F1 Academy without me around. Force Susie into Submission. I don’t want that. Fuck no.”

“Toto, I-” Sebastian started speaking, plucking the dead leaves from his pot of basil. “I like life. I love peaceful mornings.”

Silence. The phone speaker didn’t echo out for a few moments. 

“What would you say, if i told you we had a championship winning car?”

“You really agree to it?” Sebastian asked, Surprise lingering on his voice.

“Of course i do, i’ve seen you thirst for racing while you yourself didn’t. I was with you from the beginning till the end of your career, don’t you think i’d be able to read you by now?” Y/N answered him, their eyebrows pulled together in a mild emotion.

“But there’s a catch.”

“Yes?”

“I’ll be your race engineer. Like i’ve always been”

“Huh?” Seb asked again, this time even more surprised than before. Y/N nodded seriously. “I can’t see you race with another Engineer at your side. It feels wrong.”

The man man pondered for a moment, his brain racking. “You’re right. I’ll talk to Toto.”

A week later, Mercedes made an announcement. For the 2025 season, Bono would be moving to the lead Race Engineer position, not being directly responsible for a single racer. The community was confused, unsure of what was happening. Would they be promoting a rookie racer and engineer to grow their youth? Would they be getting a driver and engineer paring from another team?

Twitter and Reddit Artists were working hard, creating shitpost after shitpost, pundits podcast over podcast as the season progressed, trying to figure out who’d be the next racer.

Meanwhile Sebastian and Y/N were busy in their own ways. Practicing their communication again, the driver getting physically fit and in shape again. Moreso than he had been during his time at Aston Martin. This was going to be serious - no more lazing around. Go hard or go home.

Y/N worked with Bono - the man they used to work against- to get used to the Mercedes way of communication. It was very difficult, more strict compared to the free Red Bull. More lenient compared to the crazy Ferrari. More rule governed, compared to Aston Martin. Peter Bonnington was surprised in his own way, understanding why L/N and Vettel were the scary Duo they had been all this time. They had been a team since 2008, their shared time rivaling his and Lewis. Lewis- that was a mental direction he shouldn’t go to. Mercedes would need to win the championship, no time to waste on stupid thoughts.

As the season progressed and Fans grew mad with their speculation, Mercedes made a post on their instagram. It was a Photo of one of the trees outside their HQ, with a little bee fluttering around it. One single Description. “We love nature”.

Fans went wild with speculation, thinking, planning, shitposting. 

Then one day, two weeks away from the season beginning, the news fell. Two announcement posts in a single day. Y/N L/N heading to Mercedes as Race Engineer, Sebastian Vettel as driver. Mercedes returning back to their silver arrows livery.

The community went wild, the thing they’d never expected had happened.

Lewis meanwhile, was downtrodden. He had expected this move to work out differently. Ferrari clearly designated Charles as Driver 1, not adjusting around him like he’d gotten used to. Their bad race engineering got him into trouble many times. Seeing this news almost broke him. They had replaced him with his friend, who didn’t speak a single word of this? Shame on him.

Shortly after, a Video went online on the Mercedes Account. Sebastian and Y/N were seated among the many championships belonging to Mercedes, clad in white teamgear. Their eyes were determined, telling people they hadn’t arrived to play. As Sebastian took of his hat, people noticed the change. His own cold smile had returned, the one that caused people to call him a smiling assassin. His locks short again, like when he’d won his own championships. Y/N had assimilated, they’re hair bleached and dyed into a silvery colour. 

Fans once again were shocked, they truly hadn’t expected Sebastian to return like this. More akin to the way Schumacher returned but apparently that was not the choice Vettel made - he was here to win, not for the participation trophy.

As the season opener in Australia rolled around, many eyes were glued to the screen. Y/N was sitting on a bicycle along with their driver on his own, passing over the track. Taking in texture, dirt and heat. The media approached them back in the pits, shoving microphones in their face. Y/N just grunted, showing the media a literal middle finger before dipping into the Mercedes pitwall. 

This was the same paring as back in 2011, ready to fight. Qualifying went well, dangerously well. It was as if Seb hadn’t left F1. But not the 2022 Version, the 2012 Version. His defense was ruthless, his attacks even more. He utilised all the skills he had honed over years, even the smallest tricks Michael had once explained to him to gain a faster time. As he crossed over the finish line in first position, Martin Brundle screamed out loud. Nobody had expected this, nobody thought he could win a race again. Toto was jumping in the Mercedes Garage, Y/N jumping along and almost throwing the headset down.

Sebastian on the radio was back to his own, singing, cheering and screaming absolute gibberish. Pulling into Parc Fermé, he was surprised at having the camera and microphone pushed into his face. This new way of doing things was very unusual to him. 

“So Sebastian, tell us how you’re feeling.”

“I feel like i belong” was his simple answer, pushing the camera out of his face as he headed to get weighed. He took a short look at the staircase leading up to the podium. It had been a while since he had last set foot onto them. They were almost scary but he knew, he was secure. A hand placed on his shoulder, one that he had felt there for many years. Y/N was there to get the constructors trophy, truely the only appropriate person today.

The clothing wasn’t the same as in the past, but the energy was. People were cheering, even more were booing. Not wanting another Era of Mercedes Dominance. Booing however, did nothing to deter Sebastian or Y/N. After all, they were the original Red Bull Villains. 

Ignoring the rules, they let the champagne down to the team to enjoy. This was their first victory after a few years as well, they deserved it after sacrificing two seasons to get this car made.

Then, a lone camera man captured an almost painfull view. Lewis Hamilton, clad in the strong Ferrari Red standing aside, looking up to the silver team with sadness and longing in his eyes. This hurt him, it truly did. Tears were welling in his eyes as the camera man moved away tactfully, instead capturing the celebrating couple instead.

The season progressed, a grandslam in all eyes. Win after win - not a single Race lost. As the Final in Bahrain rolled around and Sebastian collected his fifth driver’s championship, he knew he had found a new family and home. Y/N and him were celebrating wildly, the basil on the windowsill long forgotten among the glory and the parties, the heat and the energy.

It was that day, that a man entered a plane back to his new home in Italy. Eying the still not fully unpacked furniture, he settled onto a lightly dusted chair. Had leaving Mercedes truly not been the right decision? Lewis looked at a photobook a fan had gotten him. From winning with McLaren, the years with Nico and Valtteri, Mercedes had truly grown into his home and Family. What had made him leave them then? Was it the thirst for glory? Had he not enjoyed the atmosphere anymore? He felt conflicted. People had told him that Ferrari would break him. He didn’t want to believe them, but they were right. The red team had once again done what it did best. Destroy someone. Lewis looked back on Sebastian’s Face, remembering his defeated expression after the years of fighting with the red team. Of getting recognition for Kimi as well. Of standing up against Charles.

Lewis considered his options, putting his own life on the golden scale. Then, he made a decision. Opening instagram, he made a single post. Cuddling Roscoe, the description was simple, something nostalgic almost. “I hereby announce my retirement from Formula 1”

Just in case my prodiction is correct, and in a few years, there's going to be classes talking about meme history. This post is for the students. Specifically, those that have an assignment to show how a specific meme affected other memes later on its life.

So it all started with this beautiful face.

This is yasin cengiz. A Turkish tiktoker that got famous from his video of dancing to a song called "dom dom yes yes". The most famous part of his video was his belly jumping up and down to the beat of the song.

This alone became a meme, but we need to look at another meme from the time to continue.

This meme is really important. It's from the movie zoolander, and it's commonly called the zoolander stare. This meme was peared with the song "who is she?", but more importantly, with the song "give it to me". It originally was made as a follow up joke on the light-skin stare meme.

I'm not gonna mention the mewing or look maxing here, but I'm like 90 percent sure that most of it came from the zoolander meme, may it be from the "skyer white yo", guy or the next meme I'm about to talk about. And it later contributed to the chain.

From the two songs, "dom dom yes yes" and "give it to me", a person I wasn't able to identify made a mix of the two songs. These are shown in the video below.

The woman in this video also uses the same concept of making your jawline look sharper, which got popular from the zoolander meme. This video got 18 million likes on tiktok, and gave the song its recegnisability.

Unfortunately, this leads us to an all too. Familier meme.

On fabuary 2023, a YouTube user by the name "DaFuk!?Boom!" Earlier known for his sfm shitposts, released a video. That video has one of the male models from half life's head pop out of a toilet and dance and lipsink to the remix.

I'm not going to put the video or a gif here because I consider my blog Holy grounds, and I'm already crossing the lime by talking about it.

You probably heard your professor talk about their dislike to this meme. It was able to separate from late gen z humour and gen alfa humour. But, with how much of a cultural impact it has on us only a year after its creation, I think it might be for a long time before this meme becomes truly irrelevant.

Side note, the mewing and look maxing meme led to the creation of my favourite meme to date.

1. why did you choose your url?

My first name is Elizabeth, and I was reading the novel Anna Karenina when I first started this tumblr.

LMAO, MY GUYS! I honestly don't know how other people keep up sideblogs. Having to manage one is already enough! I've never really felt the need to have another one.

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

....I'm like, 98% certain that I first came here in May 2013. So, I wasn't here at the very beginning where all the True Madness of Tumblr was taking place, but I came in near the tail-end of it all, LOL.

4. do you have a queue tag?

I don't queue at all! Again, I've never felt the need to do so. I'mma show up when I show up; I'm gonna reblog whenever I want and whatever makes me happy; and then I'mma leave, LOL.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

I was talked into it by my core group of friends who I've been close with since high school and college. And the irony of it all? I'm the one who still uses Tumblr regularly! The rest of them either deleted their Tumblrs or just simply abandoned them and have left them alone for years, LOL.

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

It's a painting by the Russian artist Vasily Surikov called The Siberian Woman. I love his style of painting, and I've always been surprised how me and the woman in the painting look alike! Another one that I use frequently is Portrait of a Lady by Franz Xaver Winterhalter, for the same reason--she looks quite a bit like me!

I've tried having other icons on and off, but I always come back to the Siberian woman and Portrait of a Lady. What can I say? They fit me.

7. why did you choose your header?

It's an image I nicked from Twitter. It must've been from a historical textiles or blue motifs post that someone made, and I immediately was drawn to it. Blue is my favorite color, especially darker blues. The gold flowers made it even prettier, so I've kept it.

I honestly have no idea! I don't often make my own posts, as it were. Any commentary I make is usually within the confines of my tags (which is also very frequent and often!), which are many! I've got a lot of things to say, and I'm gonna say 'em somwhere, LOL!

I truly do not know, if you can believe it. Probably around 20; I don't make it a point to make so-called "famous" blogs follow me, but if we've talked more than 4 or 5 times, I'll probably follow you back.

Many of my mutuals are ladies I've known for years, so that probably is a factor as well.

Eight hundred seventy-something people? But are they all active Tumblrs? Or are a good portion of them bots, LOL? Sometimes I'm able to catch them and block them, but other times I miss them.

I'm sure I have in the past, especially in my early days.

Quite a bit, LOL, especially during the summer time when I'm on school vacation. Cringe as it is to admit, it's been a huge part of my life for years.

Yes, particularly in my early days when I was exclusively a history blog. But it was over something silly, like a Historical AU me and a friend had created, not about anything factual.

An important response.

I’ve received a reply from a user under the name: yamimanomamiya. This person is Windii, a Twitter user who also does Japanese-to-English translations for Sonic content. Windii had already blocked me on Twitter despite the fact that I never spoke with them. So, it must have taken them even more effort to come to a tumblr post about my translations. She just came to insult me.

This is not the first time that Windii has publicly made fun of me and ridiculed my translations. In the past, I’ve seen them talking about me and even scoffing at small typos I made.

Their words are hurtful and have an influence on other people online. I’ve seen people say cruel things about me because of Windii. It’s incredibly rude and insulting. Claiming that I can’t be trusted; to act like I am lying with my translations. It is simply false and upsetting.

You can even compare my translation to their translation with this very Twitter post. My translation is on the left, Windii’s post is on the right.

In all honesty, the translations are not drastically different. Yes, there are nuances, and some may say that my work reads and looks like mere translations, but I can’t say much more than, “Yes, they’re translations.” I’m one person learning a language and trying to provide some enjoyment to people in the Sonic fandom who simply wouldn’t understand the cover stories. I do it for free and that does matter. It’s just a favor I want to provide for other fans and I’m not expecting any monetary gain for it. Why reprimand a free service from a single fan?

I would also like to point out how I speak about Windii in public. I would never slander their hard work. Yes, Windii probably has a better grip on translations than I do, but what’s wrong with me providing the same service? If people like their translations more then they can read Windii’s. If they like mine more then they can read mine. It’s that simple. Neither of us are getting paid to do this. Who cares if we’re providing the same service to the same fandom for free; especially when Windii clearly believes their own work to be superior.

I genuinely enjoy doing this work for the fandom. I may not be perfect, but I’ve spent dozens of hours on these stories. I’ve witnessed so many people overjoyed to see their favorite characters return. I’ve seen people record and create fan dubs of my work. I’ve had people personally thank me for doing my best with them. The hours I’ve spent talking with my friends about them has been truly precious. It’s hard work, but it comes from a place of passion. I love Sonic the Hedgehog so much and just want to attempt to give something back besides my idiotic shitposts. It’s hard and due to criticism like this, it has been disheartening. I don’t want to give up because I want to improve my Japanese and continue to be an active part of the Sonic community.

However, it seems like Windii can’t accept this. I’ve never said a word to Windii. I’ve never insulted Windii. I’ve never said anything negative towards Windii. Yet, she attacks me and hates my work. Again, this isn’t the first time they’ve bullied me. I’m pretty sure they blocked me on tumblr a couple of days ago too. They’re probably not going to see this and if they did, I genuinely don’t believe it would change much.

Windii, I don’t know why you hate me or feel the need to attempt hurting me. Are you threatened that there’s another person doing translations? Are you simply displeased with my work? Is there something else going on?

Whatever it may be, I would really appreciate an apology from you. This has been a repeating problem and I would like you to please stop it. I’m not a threat to your translations. I’m just another free avenue for Sonic the Hedgehog fans to check out.

Sonic has said, “nothing starts until you take action.” Therefore I’m asking you to take that action, Windii. Please put an end to this angry, one-sided hatred.

Christmas Eve

If any of you needs to talk because they have to deal with some family or personal issues during this time, I'm here for you. The tree is lit up, the decorations are sparkling, all the other presents are illustrated by the lights on the tree, it’s dark outside, soft snowflakes can be seen, in the background you can hear some beautiful old Christmas songs being played

The little bell rings calling you in the room 

Yet, you prepared a small surprise too 

With you, his family is walks into the room 

They originally couldn’t make it in time and it was visible for you that this really saddened Atsumu - he’s used to spend Christmas Eve with his parents and his brother - playing silly card games, him and Osamu almost knocking over the tree etc

Well 

Surprise. 

You all walked in saying a loud : SURPRISE 

Which turns into a loud scream as soon as they see Atsumu laying under the tree with a sexy present costume

it’s literally just a big red band wrapped around his body with the bow right over his thingy

You received an emergency call from Atsumu, so you’re on your way to his, mentally cursing him since you still have to make the last preparations for tonight

At his - it was just some : how do I clean this or that emergency 

Annoyed af you make your way back home

Unlocking the door, you’re greeted with some ‘all I want for Christmas’ and the apartment being all dark, just illuminated with the sparkling Christmas lights 

“Osamu?” You call out for him walking through the apartment, the music getting louder and louder 

Opening the door to your living room, you’re greeted with the sight of Osamu, dressed in a sexy butler costume, his torso completely revealed, and a bow around his neck 

“Sit down my love.” He says and pulls out one of the chairs for you 

You sit down and look over the beautiful decorated table, filled with all kinds of mouth watering food

Looking back at him, your eyes rest on his toned chest “Was... was this all planned?”

After that, you walk back around him and bend down, the skirt moving upwards, exposing everything to him

Unwrapping it, he rolls his eyes yet s smirk appears on his face 

“For the really stubborn ones” he reads out looking at the lube in his hands

He nods in response and gets up, walking over to you

“Strip and put them into it to.” Another whip echos through the room and oikawa whimpers again, eyes wide open and he slowly begins to pull off his hoodie 

“Faster!” 

“Now put this on!” He hands him a collar with a leash on it

Grabbing the black bag and the leash he drags oikawa back to the front door

“Wait wait - what are you doing !!” He finally complains 

The man stops and takes out a gag and quickly fixes it around oikawas head

“MH- MHHHH HHMMM” he cries out

“QUIET!” 

Opening the front door, the man drags Oikawa outside where a few people are already waiting, filming the whole thing

“Here.” The man throws the bag to the ground and hands you the lash 

“Have fun.” 

“Y/N MHLNG Y/N!” Oikawa ‘says’ shocked

“You didn’t listen to us ... so we had to force you.” Iwaizumi says, standing next to you

“Your clothes were horrible.” Mattsun complains 

“New ones are already laying under the tree , love.” You smile and pat his head, the leash still in your hand 

“Well... have fun with him - I think we should go now.” Iwaizumi laughs

Akaashi, Kenma and Kuroo - who will celebrate Christmas with you two - enter the house, together with Bokuto 

Kuroo is talking EXTRA loud to make sure you hear them coming back 

“Huh? Why is there light in the living room?- Y/N shouldn’t be home by now.”  You hear Bokuto ask confused 

Grabbing the small bell, you take a quick glance into the mirror and ring it 

“A BELL??? OMG AKAAAAAAASSSHHHIIIIIII IS IT - OMG OMG OMGGGG!“ Bokuto screams and runs to the room 

Opening the door his eyes lay on you, the angel standing next to the tree, about to place a small gift under the tree, ready to ‘leave’ again 

Bokutos eyes shine like the stars, his mouth wide open, whole body shaking 

“You ... you ... you’re real!?!” He mutters 

‘Shocked’ you spin around, the gift still in your hands and look at him 

You smile softly and walk towards him 

Your hand takes his and you place the gift in his hand, get on your tip toes about to give him a small kiss on his cheek, but he moves away

“No, I’m sorry, but I got a beautiful s/o.” Your heart melts at his words, the real angel in this room truly is Bokuto himself 

You smile and look at Akaashi, telling him to distract Bokuto so you can leave again - which he does 

A few minutes later you open the front door, dressed as usual 

“OMG Y/N - YOU WON’T BELIEVE IT!!! THE CHRISTKIND WAS HERE !!!! HERE AND IT GAVE ME THIS PRESENT!!!! ITS A PICTURE OF US ON OUR FIRST DATE!!” He rushes over to you and shoved the framed picture into your face

“I’m sorry Bo” you mutter and give him a quick kiss

I made my icon from one of the ICONic new Taehyung headshots because he literally looks so ethereal and gorgeous. My art style is bright and kind of bold so I edited the picture accordingly. I actually produced several versions before I was truly satisfied with the result.

I made my header too! I just really liked the paint splatter color palette so I did an overlay collage of my biases, my wrecker, and Jin (who I refuse to give a title to on principle because he’s rude).

Really depends on the day. Some days I’m popping in here and there basically all day. Then there’ll be a stretch of days that I’m not on at all for various reasons.

Ana (@xjoonchildx), D (@untaemedqueen), Lindy (@ppersonna) and I fight every night in the back alleys of tumblr like entitled 18th century white men dueling over a woman’s honor. There’s a lot of flowery language and firing into the air. Lemon (@lemonjoonah) referees when she’s bored.

(In all seriousness—no. I’m too tired and too busy for that. Most people are on here just trying to have fun. I’m not about drama in any form. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt and vibe with my followers and moots.)

✔︎ How do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

There are so many versions of those... There’s the ‘luck’ ones and the ‘awareness’ ones and the ‘help needed’ ones. It’s hard to categorize them as a group really…

I do worry because many of those types of posts contain harmful misinformation and/or misrepresent facts. As a history teacher, sources and information bias matter a great deal to me and I’m very wary of anything I read. I encourage all of you to check the sources and facts of any information you consume. Nothing should be accepted at face value—no matter who posted or reblogged it.

I do! But sometimes I forget I’ve been tagged or I lose the tag and then I feel bad 🥺 but I really do like them even if I don’t always have time to play because they make me feel like I am part of a community. It is also a delightful way to learn new things about my mutuals and followers. I do tend do go overboard with them aesthetically sometimes though 😅

Yes! But I’m really picky about the ones I play and I’m so far behind on asks I feel guilty playing them 🤡

1- Why did you choose your url

my url is just the same un i use for other sites that i post art on (instagram, deviantart, etc) BUT the original idea came from when i was in... shudders... middle school... there was a short period of time where i kept saying "FRICKLE FRACKLE" as a substitute for fuck or something and then i just tacked on floof because i'm a furry

i've been wanting to change my url for like a month now i'm just too scared of change lol </3

i started this blog as a throwaway account because i wanted to join the grishaverse big bang. i didn't even want to join tumblr at the time but i wanted to be a part of the event more so i made it just so they'd have something to link back to LMAO. but then i started like... yknow talking to people who only used this site... and then i started lurking when i was really really bored... and then my friends convinced me to check the site like every day... and then i started posting only my fanart and then i downloaded the app on my phone and it was just downhill from there. sigh.

6- Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

i just like guillermo i just really like how his face came out in that drawing he looks cute <3

7- Why did you choose your header?

umm i like using my own art for stuff like this bc it makes me feel better about using images that i've created myself instead of possibly stealing from someone else and i think that drawing was cute it makes me happy :) it's kinda old though i might change it plus the fact that i added like 2394587394587 filters to it to make it fit the pink aesthetic is showing painfully

this jon + the admiral comic i made a while ago :) it's cute i think it's a bit cheesy and also kinda old but i'm very very proud of how i drew the admiral in that one so i'm happy that this one ended up being my top post lmao

ummm i mean i GUESS you could call them fights i've gotten anon hate for stupid shit and have had um. Discussions with people about racism in the grishaverse but most of them were pretty one-sided i've never had full on reblog chains or Tumblr User Fricklefracklefloof Vs Other Tumblr User fights it's just. someone saying something and then me replying. i try to be civil.

although i did have a friend once (or ig we were just "mutuals") who flat out blocked me with no response after i said something mildly accusatory and i still haven't recovered from that </3 just communicate with me please goddamn

i get the point they're trying to make but they're guilt trippy and ultimately don't end up solving the issue they think they're solving. (i'm assuming we're talking about the human rights posts that are all like "if you don't reblog this you're a monster!!" etc etc.) yes it's important to speak up about issues but by telling people they Have To Reblog This Or Else it just... scares people into supporting something without going through the critical thinking about it. at least that's how i see it. you can't truly support something if you don't understand wtf you're talking about. reblogging something like that for the sake of reblogging it is just... well it's performative.
