AU! IkeRev Suitors in a KPOP Group! HCS

Because while I was making the Just Do It Lyric video if Blanc, Oliver and Kyle were to sing it had me thinking if they were part of a subunit, what the actual group would be like... 

(I wanted to do a super group and have all of the suitors in one big group but it was too much to try and make facts for all of them so I handpicked my own suitors I would put in a group together. They are listed in order of oldest to youngest for this AU)

Stage name: Lance Real name: Lancelot Kingsley Position: Leader, Lead Rapper, Sub Vocalist, Producer Nationality: Korean-Taiwanese

Has trained the longest out of the everyone in the group with 6 years

Has also known Harr the longest amongst the members

Although he is half Taiwanese he only speaks Korean

Is known for his amazing charisma on stage, however off stage he is very quiet and actually very clumsy. One time after their comeback stage as they were exiting he walked into one of the floating cameras

In a Dingo interview when asked who was the most troublesome member he said Oliver. "Mmm... He might be the most troublesome but... He takes care of the other members well."

He produces the group's songs, and often co-writes music with Harr

He is very shy with people he doesn't know very well

He gets very competitive when they play games, and if they can choose partners he will normally choose Jonah who is just as competitive, so that he can win

All the members agree that he is the best listener and they can go to him if they have any problems

He is good friends with Bang Chan from Stray Kids

He is closest with Kyle and Oliver. Kyle approached him first as he was able to speak Mandarin to him. "I was really happy when Kyle spoke to me in mandarin when I first joined. I was really nervous my Korean wouldn't be understandable."

Oliver makes fun of his Korean when he can though, and sometimes teaches him the wrong meanings to some words

He is the leader of the subunit with Kyle and Oliver

He was forced by his friend to audition because he has such an amazing voice

He actually failed several auditions before he was accepted

He actually didn’t want to pursue any more auditions. “My friend, he kept pushing me to keep auditioning. He would help me with the critiques I got so I could better polish them for the next audition. If it wasn’t for him, I really wouldn’t be here.” 

When asked if he was still in contact with this friend he said he was “He’s self declared himself as my number one fan. (Laughs) He’s really crazy, I honestly feel like he would be better suited in an idol group. He has red hair and amazing visuals.”

He still gets very nervous performing in front of a crowd. He was once criticised that he was lacking in his dance and stage presence in the  comeback they were doing in an interview once. This made Jonah mad who is also the group’s other main vocals, "I would like to hear you sing as well as him then." Jonah got reprimanded by Lance soon after the interview

Learning choreography is hard for him, he is always the last to leave the dance studio, luckily for him Oliver always stays to help him out

He writes, and composes some of the groups songs along with Lance

He was voted as the most ambitious of the group always wanting to do a different stage for the fans

They once almost had a full blown fist fight when during dance practice Seth had really accidentally extended his leg too far and tripped Oliver

Lance had to intervene to calm the two

Now they often reenact the moment during fansigns for laughs

When asked if he would ever cut his hair, he said “It’s my charm point don’t you think?”

Jonah completely missed the point though and he was just overjoyed that his younger brother watched him on TV

 A RECAP OF THE END OF THE YEAR GLAMPING RETREAT

summer is finally upon us, and with this year’s glamping trip now over, I can honestly say that you all know how to bring on the heat. the three day treat certainly was eventful. there was so much going on that i struggled to keep up with everything going on, but fear not, i did manage to gather some interesting stories i know you’d all love to hear. so buckle up because while this retreat did certainly have a lot of singing under the stars, i know you all would rather i just spill the tea. 

what’s a glamping trip if you don’t take this time to stargaze? it seems like i’m not the only one who feels the same way as both nights saw flocks of students sitting under the stars. and are we surprised that seongnam’s resident astro-lover, nam taeoh ( @sgntaeoh ) was spotted among the large crowd? but perhaps he should take some lessons from our resident playboy and not take his love interests on dates in the same place (albeit different nights). word on the street is he was seen acting cozy with both kwon sian ( @sgnsian ) and seok dawon ( @sgndawon ). what can i say? i guess both girls were lost staring at the stars in his eyes rather than paying attention to his lack of commitment. 

speaking of our resident playboy, is it really a signed, wooyoo story if i’m not talking about son junhyung ( @sgnjunhyung ) ? it seemed like he certainly had a fun time with all that he got up to. first on the list, he had all of us on the edge of our seats at the possibility of his friendship break up with seongnam’s resident sunshine, jo danbi ( @sgndanbi ), who by the way was also seen locking lips with a very interesting character. kwon taeho( @sgntaeho ) i’m looking at you. but back to the main tea, yes, that’s right, the inseparable pair of friends were seen arguing before going on the obstacle course. fellow peers of ours said that it certainly got heated. but it seems like all is well now, as they two of them apparently made it. 

but someone else that perhaps did not get a happy ending in regards to junhyung is the quiet girl, jeon jiwoo ( @sgnjiwoo ). jiwoo was seen crying to junhyung for some unknown reason. hopefully she’s not another victim of his games, because i honestly thought she was better than that. what a shame. 

and i wish that i could be done talking about him, but he wouldn’t be our resident playboy if he didn’t mess with some good old feelings. i’m sure you all remember his storybook romance with a certain natural sciences ta, yooa ( @sgnyooa ). well the two of them were seen getting cozy on the way over to yeongnyu, with yooa falling asleep on his shoulder during the bus. again, storybook romance, am i right? however, it seems like not everyone is thrilled at their romance, as i heard our sweet, sweet innocent first year, kan hyesoo ( @sgnxangel ) arguing with yooa over junhyung? something along the lines that yooa was jealous about angel and junhyug’s relationship because she spent a night with him only to be dumped? ouch. looks like angel has some fire in her after all. 

a quick list of people who got lost in the woods this trip. son baekso ( @sgnbaekso ) and seo hyein ( @sgnhyein). seems like while the two are fake friends, they have so much in common. being in the film industry, getting lost in the woods, reuniting with old flames during this trip. yes, unfortunately for hyein, her savior came in the form of her ex-boyfriend shin hyunjin ( @sgnhyunjin ). talk about awkward. and now, you all must be wondering about son baekso, because he’s been seen with a certain lee haru ( @sgnharu ) a lot recently. well it turns out the pair, or baekru as i’ve heard them been called in the streets, were actually not official until the retreat. but no worries everyone, my sources confirm that they are in fact official now. wow, they really are the endgame.  💖 

now, with that lighthearted happy news, here are a few more shenanigans that happened during the three day trip. cousins seok dawon and seok hansung ( @sgnhansung ) now have the distinct honor of being the only people to get kicked out of the starlight resort’s cooking classes after they set a kitchen towel on fire (somehow while they were making kimbap), making it so that the fire alarm went off too. congratulations! seongnam tribune’s park taejoo ( @sgntaejoo ) and jang sunwoo ( @sgnsunwoo ) were also seen trying to find bigfoot or something in the woods. all i have to say is that i don’t know what our school newspaper is feeding them to make them think that they could find bigfoot in south korea. wrong continent buddies.

and what’s a camping trip if you don’t try to irritate the spirits and summon a demon? well certain camps got a fright when they tried doing so, only to be met with our school’s queen bee, bok seungah ( @sgnxseungah ). i’m highly doubtful that they found the demon that they were looking for in seungah, but maybe campers were hoping that the movie, jennifer’s body would be turned into real life? 

also, i always tell you all to be safe and careful, but apparently the presumed leader of seongnam’s infamous friend group, han seungwoo ( @sgnseungwoo ) did not heed to my advice, because he hurt his knee during the trip. i’m wishing you a speedy recovery! also, can i just say, it was quite amusing seeing you howling and vehemently rejecting the use of a duck floatie to go into the lake? i’m sure i’m not the only one who enjoyed it. but don’t worry, i’m sure we all also found it adorable. 

well, tigers, i hope you do actually listen to my advice to stay healthy and safe, and of course watch your backs. i feel like this three day trip has brought me closer to all of you. i’ve learned about your relationships and interests. and we’ve all gotten so close that you all have also ruined going on late night walks in the woods for me, because the amount of you that decided it would be a good idea to go skinny dipping in a campsite this populated, is quite appalling.

For CC: HI CHELLE!! It's been awhile. I hope you're move is going well and things are getting less stressful. Forgive me if you've answered something similar, BUT... Are there any female idols or girl groups (both current and disbanded) that you like? For me, I've always loved IU and I'm currently into Dreamcatcher. ALSO! Have you heard BTOB 4U!?!? Wahh!! I miss ot7 (and my manz Hyunsik) so much!!!

Things are settling. I’m still frustrated over the lack of support with my sister’s education (a little background if you don’t know, she’s autistic along with 7 other labels, and she hasn’t been to school since June-July - here our school year is Jan-Nov for high school)... but overall, with the move and Mum’s health, some things are settling well. Unfortunately for me, my surgery I recently had has only amplified the pain I suffer from, and my disability from moving is flaring up and causing me extra grief. But I’m in positive spirits! I’m hopeful with time everything will settle and I can get further function back! 

I adore IU too. As a singer and an actor. She’s just so amazing! I do love girl groups, but I just don’t write for them as I don’t get into them past the music most of the time. I do like Twice to a point (basically I’m just there for Jihyo’s talent, and a couple of other members), and I also like Dreamcatcher. GFriend is very hit or miss for me. I liked Apple, but their new one isn’t for me. Their whole career has been like that for me. I was a big fan of Spica when they were around and Gugudan too but they seem to have disappeared. Everglow are pretty talented too! I like Loona also, even if they can’t seem to get their line distribution sorted out. The more I think about it, the more I can think of other groups that I’ve followed over the years and enjoyed. Most of them - unless they have a super cute style, I’ve enjoyed at some point or another. I was a big TTS/SNSD fan at one point lol. 

Oh! I really adored YooA’s solo. I’m not huge into Oh My Girl (again, hit or miss depending on concept) but goodness I adore her so so much! 

Yes, I’ve been listening to BTOB 4U a lot recently!!! I love the album heaps! I have to giggle, as much as I adore OT7, I was happy to see some members get more lines in this line up. But yes, I’m ready for an OT7 comeback as soon as they’re all out of the army!!

I think people underestimate how many idols pass their auditions despite being basically tone-deaf. I think a lot of the early vocal-training just focuses on being on tune except for the main singers. Some people in svts vocal-team obviously aren't pros when it comes to technique. That doesn't mean that they're not great people with lot of potential, or that people aren't allowed to love their voice as it is, so I hope people don't take offense to this. Because technique ≠ objective beauty!!

while i would hesitate to call them ‘tone-deaf,’ i do agree that when auditioning for a company, perhaps if they claimed their forte was ‘dancing’ or ‘rapping’ instead of ‘singing,’ there may have been idols who have struggled with that aspect, the same as when idols who didn’t know much about dancing just clapped their hands to the beat and were often accepted. but companies know this. its their responsibility to ‘groom’ these trainees they accept to become idols and that often entails things like dance practice and vocal lessons. what you’re saying about ‘early vocal-training’ and how it focuses on being on tune, it just confuses me that if a company has a trained professional certified vocal trainer work for them, why such a person would only focus on being on tune because singing is far more complex than just that. learning how to breathe properly is literally the first step of singing, and the way that most idols sing these days, its as if they’ve never even received this simple lesson. and along with that, voice classification is also an important first step for singing so vocalists know and are aware of the limitations of their voice, but why does it seem like so many baritones out there don’t seem to know that they are baritones? and blame themselves for the inability to hit high notes with the same ease as tenors? when its not their fault at all. ive helped one of my old orchestra teachers for many summers teach children how to play string instruments and the first thing we teach them is not how to put fingers down on the violin and play notes, but instead how to hold their instrument properly, how to hold their bow properly, how to sit properly etcetc and we do a lot of exercises with that in mind. im no music major and i have not a degree in teaching music but i know as a violinist what things will benefit my students if they adopt these good habits now rather than trying to fix them later. it should be the same for vocal teachers too i dont think i would understand the reason why actual educated vocal instructors would try to teach their students how to sing without teaching them a lot of important basics. singing in tune is important yes, singing on the beat is also important yes, but along with those first steps in music should also be a basic understanding of the instrument youre working with and how to best take care of it so you dont injure it or yourself, which is something i feel many idols don’t have.i honestly believe that everyone has the potential to be a decent vocalist if they have the proper mentorship and work ethic so yes i agree, even if svts vocal unit, or svt in general, are struggling in the technique department, it doesnt mean that they cant adopt it and learn from it and improve…but thats also partially why its so frustrating ahaha they can improve but they dont and just stick to their confines of societal expectations of a good singer which is one that is again: loud, high and “stable.” the room for improvement with that mentality i think is a bit limited honestly for me, its always the vocalists who have shown that they know what vocal technique is, that i am always the most excited for improvement because i know that they know how to improve. also i agree that you’re allowed to love whatever voice color you want even if theyre not the best vocalist. in terms of color, i really love yooa’s voice from oh my girl even if she doesnt really know how to support ahah her voice in ‘cupid’ was the whole reason i biased her tbqh, and even though kyuhyun is redeemed as a fantastic vocalist, his vibrato bothers me quite a bit and i much prefer ryeowooks vocal color and voice in general over his. same with exo i prefer baekhyun/kyungsoo over chen even though chen is the more technically advanced. enjoying someones voice as it is is fine, everyone has different preferences when it comes to the type of voice they want to hear and thats all fair and good.however, yes while “technique ≠ objective beauty,” as beauty truly isnt ever going to be objective as it is dependent on personal preferences as well as societal expectations, i think a reverse/modified version of that statement should be considered as well: “subjective beauty ≠ technique.” ive seen in many fandoms, carats included, where someone tries to ‘justify’ the reason they like someone’s voice as being because they have ‘great technique’ when thats just…not the case at all. its okay if you like ur favs voice and they don’t have great technique, just try not to attribute something to someone that isnt there and please recognize someones hard work and skill when it is there. in the end my whole stance on vocal technique is that it should be something that more idols should try to adopt because its only better for the health of their vocal cords. many idols want longevity, esp those who focus on singing, it would be a shame if they were to seriously injure their voice especially since its the one instrument that you really cant exactly buy a new one of if it ‘breaks.’ singing with technique in mind also opens up a lot of other doors, such as versatility, dynamics, overall control of your voice, etc. like it just increases the musicality of every vocal performance imo. for instance boo here goes from soft and gentle sounding to more gritty and loud and often goes back and forth between the two sounds and all the intermediates. the changes are very gradual and minute but there if you listen for it and hes able to do this because he knows what he has to do to manipulate his voice to execute the musical interpretation of the song that he chose to sing because he knows what technique is. but it’s not to say that people who sing out there who arent trying to employ technique are invalid as singers and that their voices are not ones that people can enjoy. tl;dr yes enjoy voices and their vocal colors and listen to the voices that make you feel happy and that you like but the importance of vocal technique should not and must not be dismissed.

[1]  How did you get into kpop?: Was it seven years ago? My roommate was a huge VIP but she was pretty updated too about other groups. So, one day she showed me SNSD’s Run Devil Run MV, and guess who got turned into Tiffany’s fan overnight! :))

[2]  Go on a rant about why you love your ultimate bias: wow JJ thank you for giving me this stage to officially rant about our shared husband. (crackling my knuckles, wiggling my fingers and preparing to type a long scientific essay titled “Why Ryan Loves Joshua Hong and Why You All Should Too”)

I love his dancing. Actually, his dancing is what dragged me to stan him in the first place. He isn’t technically perfect like Dino or DK (he often misses the beats of the song because he’s too busy counting the steps in his head), and he doesn’t pour enough emotion to the dance. But there’s something in his carefully calculated moves that screams ELEGANCE. I don’t know if he intentionally do it that way, but compared to other members, his way of dancing is saving him from the risk of injuries. And if you watch their performances, you will realize Joshua always does everything exactly how he does it on the first time, down to the angles and the way he sways his hands. Isn’t it fascinating?

His acting. This is hard to explain, so let’s just agree with me that his ability in changing his expression and masking his own emotion is as good as (if not better than) Wonwoo.

His soft voice. I don’t have to explain this point, do I? From his heavenly singing voice to his raspy normal voice and that hahahaHAHEUG! laugh. 😍

His physical features. From head to toe. It’s just perfect. 100 points. 딱 좋아. 내 스타일이야.

He looks innocent but sinful, calm but mischievous, tamed but beastly, all simultaneously.

I have endless other reasons but I don’t want to waste anyone’s time so let’s stop here.

[3]  What is your favorite scent?: The clean linen freshly out from dryer, fresh roses in foggy early morning, and black tea.

[4]  What is your self-care routine?: I don’t think this can be considered a self-care routine, because honestly I don’t have such things as “routines” right now. So, I keep my life and my actions around two main questions:

If I die tomorrow, am I going to regret this? Would I beg to rewind the time and be brought back to life?

If I live for the next hundred years, would I want to live this exact life?

By answering to those questions, I keep track about what I really need and what I really want for myself. I always make sure to shower as long as I need it. I eat when I’m hungry. I sing and hum when I walk to and from work. I wear make up when I need to but I wouldn’t think twice before going out barefaced.

[5]  What is the worst story you have ever read?: There’s this novel where the female protagonist is really weak and lacking in personality: an okay-but-not-really-good job, financially unstable, still living with her parents, but instead of trying to do better, she focused herself to please her fiancé. When she finally broke the engagement, she fell sick because of the stress. Right after that, she started chatting with three guys separately, and all of them succeeded in convincing her that they loved and wanted to marry her (side note: all three showed the hints of a jerk, but she didn’t realize, at all). In the end, while contemplating which one to give her hand to, she got into accident and died. The end.

[6]  What makes you the most soft?: This is hard. 🤔 I’m the softest person in the world I can get all soft just looking at the bright blue sky.

Dear Me,

Its been a while. It’s been a little over a year and things have changed, 

How am I? I’ve changed, I’m colder, I’m much more closed off, I cry a lot, I’m still hypersensitive but I don’t think that’s going anywhere.

I have some good news though, that horrible thing we went through, depersonalization, it’s gone. 

I wrote the first dear me in August before drama camp, which I was unfortunately depersonalized for, but coming September, it was gone. I don’t know if it was the familiar atmosphere of being back in school and being consistently surrounded my people and emotions, but it left.  

That following winter, S.A.D wasn’t all that bad either, it was definitely there but it wasn’t the worst it’s been. 

It’s easy to say that last July (2016), was the worst month of my life, I had never been so lost in my 15 years of living (at the time, and yes I’ve accepted my real age and since it’s just between me and you, I’m using it), it was also one of the most alone I had ever felt. 

Mental Health wise: I think I suffer from anxiety, I say suffer because truly I’m suffering. 

Recently, the family and myself went to Seattle and Phoenix. It was probably the most anxiety ridden I had ever been.

Everything made me angry, I snapped at every single minor inconvenience, and I just wanted to be left alone, I still do, I just want to be alone. 

Being with other people has caused me a lot of issues, I love being with people and conversing, but I’d rather just stay alone, it causes less to worry about, no more stress about being home on time, how I’m going to get home, remembering to have fun. 

I guess a lot of it has to do with how I was raised, going out was much harder than simply staying home, having to ask for permission to simply see my friends outside an adult controlled environment and knowing that I was going to be turned down the offer was given me too much anxiety over making plans that I usually just bail out on them.

This makes me feel extremely guilty because I genuinely like the people, but I JUST CAN’T LEAVE THE HOUSE. 

Going out itself is a hassle, the pressure to consistently be happy during the few hours you spend with another person in order to leave it a happy memory shouldn’t be as hard as it is. 

On a happier note, reading last year’s ‘Dear Me’, I can say the love for myself has only grown, I love me, so much! I love my quirks and the stupid things I do. I love how I completely bop out to a song and then realize how stupid I look but keep going. I love that I’m in love with myself. I raked myself through the mud with hate but here I am treating myself with gentle care. 

Removing myself from situations that make me upset, feeding myself regardless of how late it is because I’m hungry and who cares about weight. Wearing whatever I feel happy in, (like that pompom hair piece from F21) understanding that I am probably the weirdest person to have walked this Earth but also I’m cute as heck. I’m trying my /best/ to stay hydrated but I don’t even have a water bottle so ya girl is struggling. 

I’m slowly improving myself and paying more attention to how I react to things. I’ve become really picky with what I eat after I puked for 12 hours that one day in March, it was fucking shit, I deadass have a fear of puking now. It hurts.

I’m still hella into space and deep sea, I went to the aquarium in Phoenix and cried cause I love the sea. The entire family went, but as much as I was having fun, as soon as I found out that everyone else found it boring, the entire experience was ruined, I was more or less upset the rest of the day, do you see the problem? Stuff like this shouldn’t happen, it was an amazing experience but whenever I think back, all I can feel is this heavy weight because of how sad I felt that I was basically dragging them around but also because we left really early. Man, I really wanted to stay but it was 1 against so 5, so who was I to make them stay. 

Anime is still a huge part of my life, Naruto ended and I’m /hurt/. Yuri On Ice came out that November-December and honestly, what a life changing show, it was so gay, and canon. I miss, I can’t wait for season 2. I watched Kimi No Na Wa (a movie) and truly what a beautiful movie, that’s all I can say, visually it’s stunning. The characters are amazing but can I remember their names? Nope. 

Remember how we saw that ad for Goblin on Facebook and had it bookmarked for weeks but never watched it. WELL, LET ME TELL YOU (sit down this is going to take a while). So, because I watched anime and it was in another language, why couldn’t I give Kdramas a try, LITTLE DID I KNOW. I never ended up watching Goblin on my own. 

Months passed and it was around February when I started getting into Korean girl groups, that’s right, Kpop. Oh My Girl was too cute for me to ignore so I stanned them (YooA and Binnie, my kids), time passed and I couldn’t quite get into their music, so I just stopped. I stayed away from the boy groups because of the drama that came along with them (a misteak). 

Even more time passed, Patty recommended a Kdrama called Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, LIFE CHANGING, REVOLUTIONARY, THE PUREST! I watched 11 hours worth of it in one day, sleep who? Needless to say I loved it, I loved every single character, Nam Joo Hyuk could kill me and I’d say thanks.

On April 15th, 2017, (that fateful day) I watched Unfair - EXO for the first time and my life was changed, Kim Jongdae stole my heart. This was bad though, it was towards the middle of the second semester, I didn’t have time for this, but did I care? No. Sleep became foreign to me, I needed to catch up on the 5 years I missed. I somehow graduated. 

My bias list is a mess, it ranges from Jongdae, Minseok, Kyungsoo, BBH, Junmeyon, Sehun, Jongin, Yixing and PCY, oh would you look at that, it’s the entire group, ha AHAHAHHAHAHAHAH, let me live. 

It only got worse from there, I watched hella Kdramas but did I ever finish them? No. Why? I truly don’t know. 

As soon as it gets angsty and yeet out so fast, I can’t handle angst, I don’t like sad things, my life’s already a mess, I came here for a good time. 

If you’re reading this a year later and still haven’t finished The Entertainer I will come to the future and fight you, fucking finish it, I understand you’ll cry, we’re the same person, but finish it! It deserves better than this, you’re deadass on the last episode you hoe, (love you). 

Also finish My Shy Boss, but I feel like you’ll have that one done, it’s harder to watch but it hurts less. It makes sense, I know what I mean.

Moving on, you see I was avoiding BTS like the plague, their fandom is terrifying and there was too much going on, I was safe and happy with EXO (featuring NCT127), I was proud of them for their Billboard Award, like yes you did that congrats, but that was all. 

Fast forward to me just chilling and deciding to finally give them a try, I turned to their MV’s, Spring Day was cute and I got it stuck in my head a lot, Fire was too much and I instantly closed the tab. I wanted to see my sister’s reaction to Fire and she liked them. I was confused, my sister hates KPOP (bc of me), so I delved in, did my research trying to find out who was who, this was where it started. 

I knew, I knew, I had no chance, it was over. My first bias was that bastard Jeon Jungkook, at this time, I always forgot Suga, Jimin and Rap Monster looked too similar to me (forgive me, I was young) V? Jhope? Jin? 

I got better with names, but EXO was still #1 for me, what changed all of this was RUN BTS. I was watching it the same time I was watching EXO - Showtime, but slowly stopped watching Showtime, to Y’know, ‘savour it’, (I wasn’t going to admit to myself that I liked another group more.

Run BTS helped with recognition and learning about their character, this is where it went wrong, these idiots are extremely lovable so I fell in head first. I quickly learned I was Min Yoongi and Park Jimin trash, only later did I find out their was a ship for them (we aren’t gonna talk about this, you already now). 

I could talk for days about Jimin, I remember I would cry every time I saw photos of him because HE WAS TOO MUCH FOR ME. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD I CRIED WHEN I LATER FOUND OUT THE SHIT THAT HE WENT THROUGH AND IS STILL GOING THROUGH ABOUT HIS WEIGHT AND HIS IMAGE, HE DESERVES SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER. 

AND FUCKING AGUST D OVER THERE, THAT CINNAMON ROLL’S STORY HURT ME, I haven’t listened to the mix tape yet (It’s a year old now) because I need to recover from simply knowing that he went through that. 

I am Bangtan SonyeonDONE WITH THIS GROUP. I have this odd love for them, and I couldn’t tell you why. If this is a phase, this is the best damn phase of my life, I was miserable in the One Direction fandom, everyone was fighting, but the KPOP fandom, still filled with fan wars, is too funny. The memes are why I stay, music? what music?

I’m gonna continue talking about BTS because I just need to let all this out, I might not do a whole paragraph on each member but don’t fight me on this alright. 

Kim Namjoon,  the good lord, the savior, the leader of Bangtan, the one I want to meet most. I feel so many feelings for this man, I just want to go to a coffee shop and talk about life. I watch his vlives when looking for comfort because HE GETS IT! He thinks the things I thought only I did and never speak about because they’re ‘not normal’. I see him less as this celebrity and more as a friend, and I know how cringey and all that this is but listen, hear me out, I’ve only ever wanted to meet two celebrities in my life and they are Misha Collins and now Joon, and that’s on the sole fact that I feel I can talk to them, just talk.

This is not to say I wouldn’t want to meet the rest of Bangtan, I love them all, heck Jimin is my bias, but there’s something about Namjoon I can’t put my finger on. 

(Also this is hella long compared to last year’s and I’m not sorry, It’s been a whole year soooo.)

Moving on from Kpop, relationships in my life. 

Maria - we talk on snapchat, we met up at the Mac grad, its causal. 

Bruno - best friend, love of my life, my boyfriend, he doesn’t judge me and gives me my space, love this kid.

Patty - my kid! we talk everyday and we’re about to hit 100 on snapchat, planning a trip to Tokyo and Seoul. 

Tanika - madre, I love:), she’s leaving Edmonton in January though, and that’s honestly just hella sad

Erika - baby buhler who’s also my mom, the most accepting, i love her so much, i appreciate so much 

Danait - my kid pt.2, always listens to me rant about kpop, became a BTS fan 

Blake - i’m only adding him because he’s comfortable, a smiley baby 

Yadiel - A SMILEY BABY, i love him :(

Talia - I’m burning this one to the ground, it was fucking ridiculous, her mom messaged me like ???, 10/10 glad I ended it. 

Lucas - can fucking suck my ass, I hate this kid so much, why did I let this drag on for so long 

That entire girl group - I don’t know man, it’s really weird but I can’t stay friends with them, Igtg 

Jordan - we stopped talking because I’m gr8 at talking

group m: fiction by chaos position: main dancer/visual (kikwang dongmin)

was she nervous? yes. terrified? absolutely. sweating buckets? you better believe it. her first ever evaluation as a trainee and it had to be a huge performance in front of staff and trainees from other companies including her own to a song meant for men to perform to. 

well this was just peachy.

had she learned the choreography well? yes, she most certainly had, with the help of seolhyun of course. usually this kind of position would go to seolhyun instead since her and shiah had similar skill sets and seolhyun was the sunbae trainee. however the other had taken on a more difficult vocal position, which left this role for shiah. the vocals weren’t difficult to learn for this part, and so she wasn’t nervous that way. she wasn’t worried about forgetting the choreography or portraying the emotion of the song. she was worried about not being good enough, and having the broadcasted to all the other companies and trainees.

well, it was time to get some confidence and squash her fears.

it was their turn to perform and quite frankly all other performances before them had been a blur to her, she couldn’t tell you who was in which group or what song they even did. her nerves had fogged up her focus, and now here she was, heading onstage with her fellow trainees, all of whom had done this before, and taking her place.

her stomach lurched when the music began but she kept her cool as best as she could, maintaining the sullen, longing expression on her face, her head bowed in the stagnant position until the choreography finally kicked in.

now was the chance to shine.

the choreography, as she had noted before, wasn’t overly difficult. it was a lot of foot work, but not difficult footwork, and together the group was nice and synchronized. her part that had a high note (ish) was steady, solid, even. not aw-inspiring or jaw-dropping, but it was definitely acceptable. she’d have to work on her voice some more if she wanted to wow the crowd a little more with her vocals.

the trick about her parts was that they put her right up front, so not only did she need to nail her moves, she needed to maintain the right emotion and expression for the entire song since she was always in the focus of the performance (mostly, she was mostly in the focus). 

as long as the performance had felt, it had also flown by rather quickly. before she knew it applause was heard from the audience and she was bowing along with her sunbae trainees. was it really over already?

walking off the stage shiah felt as light as a feather, as if her soul had left her body and she was floating along with each step. this was such relief... she had never felt it to this extent before. hopefully she got used to this... hopefully!
