on day 24 of the qsmp, foolish mentioned that killing the code may just make it come back even stronger which, ironically, we know to basically be true now.

with the way etoiles has beaten the code 16 times now, we've seen it come back stronger and stronger each time basically proving this statement to be true. especially today, with them doing 4-5 hearts of damage by the time etoiles got to the third code, so we can officially add this to the list of things foolish has successfully predicted!

Bad: No I think we can kill it, it doesn't seem to be that strong, we can probably kill it.

Foolish: Wait, but what if its one of those like, if we kill it, it gets worse. Like, wh- you know what I mean? I feel like its like a code thing, it just feels like that's what's gonna happen.

Remembered this song from a boss fight early on in NieR Automata, during which a cult of robots had come together to pantomime the concept of religion. (the robots in the game are all trying to strive for a sense of purpose in being alive by mimicking behaviour of humans who have by now gone extinct but there's not enough time to go into all of that here).

And this cult of robots come to the conclusion that their version of gods if they follow the human translation of the word is "the creator" which to them are organic beings. And so if they are pantomiming religion in an effort to find purpose in being alive, then through the practice of religion you are supposed to ascend to a higher state of being equal to that of the gods.

And so, if you are a robot and your creator is an organic being, what is it that separates you from your creator? That is of course the realities of being an organic being, and being tied to the reality that being organic means having to die one day.

And so this robot cult comes to the conclusion that to ascend to a higher state of being is to become as gods, and for a robot to become as a god, their creator, is to ascend to that of organic being, and to do so is to embrace what separates machine from organic which is death.

And therefore, to die is to become god.

And then they all attack you and this song plays called "become as gods". Which includes the robot cult chant of "We'll all die together and become as gods" while the choir chants in the fictional language of the NieR series which is its OWN separate dump of lore, but which is roughly labelled and understood as "The language of the gods". That being a weird translation of the GATTACA code which makes up human DNA.

NieR Automata is a good game. It's one of only 2 games that managed to make me bawl my eyes out at the end. Not for a story reason, but for how the game directly connects you with every other human being who has played the exact same game and the concept of sacrifice to help another in ways I don't want to spoil because if you've never played and finished the true ending of NieR Automata there is nothing in this world that will prepare you for its ending and I would not dare to spoil that for you.

Anyway I rambled a lot but it was needed to explain the full force of this song for you to understand why it's not only a banger but a banger with some deep fucking WEIGHT behind it.

(btw this is genuinely unrelated I just remembered at time of post it's the Steam Summer Sale and Nier Automata is 50% off right now but that was not the point of this post)

really actually kind of enjoy how the big lore moments are sort of quiet on a singular stream (or a small group!) instead of the events solely being the lore; i think there would be this hesitation to develop anything solo if the server reinforced this idea that Big Lore could only happen during scheduled events and days. instead the more narrative-progressing moments (take the baghera hybrid experiments revelation or the philza birdnapping for recent example) are very low-key and almost unhyped up— there’s no expectation for that kind of lore necessarily at the time which makes it more rewarding to experience as a viewer. big fan of how they do the events as player bonding time rather than serious narrative progression because it allows all the players (especially the ones who don’t engage in the rp side that much) to participate and get to know each another more; it’s very neat it’s really smart it’s nicely executed

Unlike on the main blog and my Wanderer muse, i am not the one writing this ship's child, and Headcanons will likely be written on both sides. I am only putting down the ones i thought of and that were discussed.

General Information.

This is set around 6-7 years after the game events, and by that point, they are married with a daughter named around his wife's Ancient Name, which likely took a while for the people of Natlan to get used to it.

The first year as a family was essentially rough on Kinich because never once has he ever felt a yearning to become a dad, even knowing he would never be like his, that has long since passed away.

Nowadays, he's accepted that kind of life, without a need to prove himself worthy as a parent.

Headcanons.

Post-Teyvat, Kinich went from 5'8ft to 6'0ft and no longer face any growth. Meanwhile, Nicte has gone from a whelp to early adulthood and with a yumkasaur kid of her own; Kijani.

Speaking of Nicte, she was the one to first feel something about Lumine eventually bearing a child. Ahead of this, my Xilonen and Citlali helped alot during this whole process.

Additionally, Nicte and Tumaini grew up together along the years and said yumkasaurus becomes an older sister figure to the latter, on top of being a mother herself.

The Kinilumi fam extend to more than the usual circle, the Natlan crew are pretty much aunts/uncles/big brothers for Kinich's daughter and so on.

Speaking of the Saurian Hunter, he is only willing to settle for one child rather than try his luck with another one.

On that first year as a father, he kind of struggled with the idea behind being a parent, as mentioned prior.

Nicte most definitely held their human child many times, post-pregnancy.

While Ajaw may never willing to admit it, she, in her unhinged ways, has gotten protective of Tumaini and is essentially the only one allowed to be a little mean. On that same note, Nicte is much more expressive on that front and will protect her little sister whatever it takes.

The presence of Kijani, happened once Kinich's daughter was ready at best, to take care of a fellow little sister, in the same way that he raised Nicte from an egg. An egg that was essentially gifted to him from Toci (main muse Natlanian verse)

Even to this day, Kinich is still in possession of what Feykrokiin bestowed upon him (his dragon's gift basically). Needless to say, the dragons themselves certainly support him and his family.

They definitely had a Natlan based wedding (or however it is done in Aztec/Mayan customs)
