HHP - Chapter 16 - Part 1

Yay it’s finally here! Well part of it. I have to finish the other part of chapter 16, but here’s part 1 for y’all. Extreme fluff with…a little bit of smut hinted but not really present. Heethan is very sexually frustrated. Please give him your sympathy…you’re being too hard on him. mill be posting part two once I get home. ♥️

“What are you going to wear?” H/n inquired as she sits on the edge of your bed, watching as you go through the remainder of clothes you left at your dorm, majority of them had already been moved into Heeseung’s room. 

“I’m not sure…it should be something he hasn’t seen me in…but….”

Looking through all the casual dresses you had, you pondered at which one should you adorn yourself with since Heeseung said he wanted to take you on a date. 

An official date.

‘You know….I really should take you out to dinner or something.’

‘Hmm? That’s a sudden thing to say. What made you think of that?’

‘I was just thinking…I took all my exes out to on a date before I made things official. But you and I did things a little…backwards, though I’m not complaining. It’s just…if anyone deserves to be treated and courted properly, its you…only and always you…not them.’

‘Oh….okay then, what did you have in mind?’

‘Dinner?’

‘Sure.’

‘Stroll through the Rose Gardens at the park?’

‘Yeah, I’d like that.’

‘Kissing under the moonlight?’

‘Hahaha yes.’

‘Locking fingers while we talk?’

‘Hahahaha yesssss.’

‘Hugging?’

‘Yes Heeseung.’ 

‘Nibbling ears?’

‘Okay…’

Looking over, you saw h/n hold up one of the dresses Vicky left behind for you. 

“Oh yeah…that belonged to Vicky but she gave me a ton of her clothes, but they’re not really my style to be honest…a little too showy.”

“So?….it’s nice to show some skin. You’ll look hot in this. You should wear it! I might even have some hair berets that will go with it.”

Through h/n’s encouragement, you tried on the dress to see how it fits. 

It fits you well…too well.

“Ooooooh…y/n….you look HOT.”

You tilted your head and slightly frowned your brows in an unsure expression. 

“You sure?…I don’t look too….desperate?”

“What are you- girl!…wear this dress before I whip you.” She laughs as she twirls you around.

“You..you think so? It’s not too much?” 

Smacking her lips, h/n scoffs “y/n stop being so modest. You look so good! I even have some jewelry that would go perfect with this.”

You gulped as you observed your frame in the mirror. 

‘Let’s hope he’ll like it…’

Friday night came around, and as agreed upon, Heeseung dropped you off at your dorm and allowed you to get ready there, to make the event more exciting as if you both really were going out on your first date…which it was, only just after the fact that you both had been dating for quite some time now. But you wanted to live the moment as if you hadn’t, a traditional way of being courted. It made your heart tickle. 

Pulling up next to the dorm entrance, he parks the car as he maintains one hand on the steering wheel, while he slightly leans over the center console and pets the back of your head with the other. 

“You gonna be okay here alone?” He asks. He really didn’t like that you were getting ready at your dorm. He spent the last week insisting that he would get ready in one of the spare rooms at the frat home while you have his all to yourself, but you declined and insisted back that you wanted to surprise him thoroughly by having you picked up and seeing you dressed up. 

“Yes, h/n is actually going to be over to help me in a few minutes so…no need to worry.” You smiled sweetly at him before he cradled his fingers under your chin, pulls you over to him. 

The closer your face got, the more he raised his chin so that you could have a view of his eyes under his cap, lurking from the shadow it casted. 

His face close…very close. He opens his mouth and leans in to leave just a smidge of a gap in between your lips as he breathes out a warm breath to coat your skin. 

“Call me when you’re ready for me….to pick you up.” 

You nodded with glossy eyes. Every moment with him always felt exhilarating, like it had been since the moment you met him. The man knew how to make any woman weak to her knees, yet you were the only one that got to experience it continuously as he claimed you.

Stroking your jawline with his thumb, he releases your chin softly. He wanted to kiss you, badly. Yet he knew how much you wanted to make the experience as realistic as possible, a real first date. 

Facing forward with his eyes ahead, re-gripping the steering wheel as you hear the tightening of his hands wrapping the leather stitching of the wheel, he takes a deep breath, followed by a slight smack of his lips and the clearing of his throat.

“Mmm…fuck….FUCK! I want you so badly right now…” he whined out in aggravation. 

You laughed shyly as his pent up frustration was overwhelming him. You watched as he adjusted his seating, leaning it back just a tad as he relaxed his posture, resting his hands on his lap. He looked so pitiful and hopeless, yet the countenance he displayed was of yearning irritation. 

Laughing sweetly, you smiled over to him as you softly spoke. “It won’t take me long to get ready, I’m excited.” 

You look over to him as you tilt your head against the head rest of your seat, shifting your posture as you sat in your side, looking over to him. 

You watched as he moves only his face to return the gaze, his eyelids heavy as his eyes turned glossy out of lust and love. He merely just looked at you, wanting to touch you but was trying to have some self restraint, for the moment he touches you he was going to lose it and take you to the backseat of his car, or to your dorm room and give it to you the way you needed it. Not because you said you did, but because he did. 

Relaxed in his seat, he continued to stare at you under his traditional heavy lids.

  He kept staring at you for a solid minute or two, struggling as it had been a full two weeks since he got to enjoy you.

You had expressed how you wanted the experience to be as realistic as possible, which he had begrudgingly disagreed….but ended up honoring your request after seeing how much it meant to you. 

‘Why did I open up this door…I’m hurting….’

“You okay?” You knew he wasn’t but you couldn’t help resist to ask, knowing that he was in pain. The itch to grab and take you that very moment was eating him alive. 

“………..”

He faces away, looking through his window as he slowly shuts his eyes and took deep breathes, yet kept his mouth shut to avoid having you hear the exhales escaping his lips. 

With a series of gulps, he merely nodded, the back of his head was all you could see. 

“Okay. Well I’ll go and get ready…can I get a kiss?” You were enjoying this…possibly a little too much, but it was refreshing to watch him lose his composure just a bit, since he was always normally calm and collected. A smooth operator. 

“Babe….fuck…just a kiss?” His face remained facing his window as the voice behind his words came out whiny.

“Yeah.” 

With one last gulp, he takes a final deep breath, and looks over to you. 

‘FUCK!!’ 

Covering it to ensure you didn’t see, he wipes the corner of his mouth as a slight bit of drool escapes the moment he parted his lips open to give you a peck. 

Using his thumb, he wipes it, trying to appear as smooth and inconspicuous, yet you saw the whole thing and chuckled internally, trying your best to avoid smiling as you tuck in your lips and facing away, trying stretch your mouth out in order to avoid blowing your cover. 

‘Is he really hurting that bad? I really shouldn’t…but this is too fun and adorable.’ 

Unbuckling your seatbelt, you leaned over the center console and place a kiss on his cheek. 

“I’ll call you soon, okay?”

“Mm…rrr…yeah….”

He looks at you, eyes slightly widen upon seeing your face up close, his jaw dropping as if it was his first time seeing you. 

A sudden hitch of his breath escapes his lips, which he quickly covers as he shot his hand up and placed it over his mouth, dragging his palm downward as his desperation was shown through him pulling his skin taught as he finally drops his hand to his lap. 

You chuckled and looked at him with pity as you bit down your lip, which you had done out of mere habit, not at all to torture him. Yet…

“DONT FUCKING BITE YOUR LIP LIKE THAT!! ARE YOU CRAZY?!” 

Your eyes shot up in a widened state as you slightly jolt back into your seat out of being startled by the volume of his voice. Maybe you have heard it a few times before out of concern, your safety, or just for fun, but this was the first time you heard him yell…at you. 

You simply looked at him with a slight bit of worry and fear on your face, similar to that of a child being reprimanded by their parents. 

His eyes filled with frustration and rage as they grew the widest you’ve ever seen, his breathing escalating while his hands slap themselves on the wheel once more, tightening the grip and squeezing the leather, his wide eyes still on you…he looked so scary…and he wasn’t even in his Ethan state. 

Tucking in his lip, he continued to look at you when he suddenly unbuckled his seat belt and got out of the car. 

Slamming the door shut, you watched through his window as he faces away, places both hands on his hips and screams nearly at the top of his lungs. 

“FUCK!!!….FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!” 

You took in a clear view of his backside through his window, thank God no one was around to hear. You continued to watch him, it wasn’t until he turned halfway, meeting your gaze through his side profile as he glares at you through the window. A raging glare. Suddenly he started to walk around the front of the car, gritting his teeth through pinched lips that remained shut, making his way to your side. 

Opening the door, he grabs your arm and pulls you out and into his chest, shifting you around, he opens the door to the backseat and pulls you in, despite you pleading with him to stop. 

Sitting you on top of his lap, he harshly grabs on to your waist and reaches under your skirt. Latching his mouth on your neck, he begins sucking as the sound fills the car. You struggled to push yourself away, yet his grip, which felt much stronger than usual, was harsh as he kept you steady. 

“Wait no! Heeseung please! I wanted to wait after our date…you said we could…”

Your breath hitched as you released a sniffle. 

“You said you’d wait…this was supposed to be our date…” your voice trailed off hopelessly as you started to accept that he was going to move forward and fuck you as usual, though as much as you enjoy it, you really were looking forward to tonight’s event. 

Hearing the sadness and disappointment in your voice, you felt his hand pause….resting against your thigh. 

“You said…you’d wait after our date…” you spoke out softly. A slight bit of disappointment in your tone, normally it wouldn’t stop him…but he did promise you after you expressed how much it mattered to you, that you had wished you both took the opportunity to do things the right way when you had the chance. Back when he knew of Vicky’a infidelity, and you were in denial of Sam’s similar offense. 

Heeseung’s breathing was still raging and deep, releasing the skin from his mouth, he shoved his face into your neck and groans out of frustration. His hand under your skirt goes limp as it drags its way out from under your skirt and falls loosely at his side. He has absolutely no will to move or do anything, except to give it to you. Just you. Only you. But…he did promise you. 

Remaining on his lap, unsure if you should move or not as his face remained buried at the nook of your neck, he sighs. 

“I’m going to die…..y/n….fuck me to tears…please.” 

You shifted your face over to him, pressing your lips against his cap, right above the bill. 

“Are you able to wait till after? I promise, I just…want to do things the traditional way…just for tonight.”

He groans and mumbles against your neck once more, the vibration slightly tickling and igniting the tingle within your core. Now you were starting to yearn for it, though not as bad as he was. 

He reaches an arm around your waist, with one last gulp, one that you could feel as your back was pressed up against his chest, he sighs. 

“Can I at least squeeze them?” 

You chuckled. “That’s not going to make you feel better, it’s going to make it worse for you.” 

“……..why? Why are you doing this to me?” 

You laughed though you didn’t mean to. 

“Let me go get ready, hmm?”

Squeezing your waist just one last time, he lets you loose. Remaining seated as his legs were spread, his hands fall loosely between his legs as he tilts his head back against the headrest, he breathes out deeply.

Peering at you from the gaze under his cap, he merely just looks at you.

“……I love you.” Was all he murmured out. His voice seemed tired and breathless as he issued out those words. 

“I love you too.” You softly said back. 

Exiting the car, you looked back at him as he remained seated on the center back seat, shamelessly man spreading his legs even wider. 

“You coming out?” You asked.

“….I’m…..going to sit here for a little bit….” He merely states. 

“Oh…okay. I’ll see you in a little bit.”

“Mmmhmm….”

You weren’t entirely sure on how the male anatomy worked as far as hormones went, or the types of chemicals that take part in their genetic makeup, but it was safe to say that Heeseung had built up quite a bit of testosterone the last couple of weeks. You were surprised that his Ethan side didn’t show through, though you suspected that he suppressed him in order to abide by your request, knowing full well that his Ethan side would have had an even tougher time honoring that, much less the calm and rational Heeseung. 

After nearly an hour, you got dressed and H/n helped place the matching jewelry pieces on you. A necklace with matching earrings with ruby red gems that matched the dress perfectly. 

“Woooooow…y/n you look so sexy and pretty…God, Ethan is going to freak.”

‘…..oh h/n…please don’t say that….you have no idea….I’m scared now.’ 

Initially you found it fun and harmless at finding Heeseung’s struggle humorous, but now that you were dressed to the nines, you wondered if you were even going to be safe. It almost felt as if you were about to be thrown into the lions den as you watched the clock. 

“Is Ethan on his way over?” 

“Mm…uh yeah, I called him 10 minutes ago.”

“Yay! I can’t wait to see his reaction when he sees you!” With tiny claps and jumps, she expresses her words with great eagerness. 

“Oh…yeah me too.” 

“You nervous?” 

“A..a little.”

“Awww that’s so cute it really is like a first date! You know, without you guys actually dating this whole time!”

Suddenly a knock on the door comes in, you already knew…

“Oh! I’ll get it!” H/n grins as she skips towards the door. 

Opening it, she exclaims in a tune of excitement. 

“Hello…Ethan. My, you look sooooo handsome.” Over exaggerating her tone, the girl could not control herself, she was so excited for you. 

“Oh and you brought my boyfriend along! Hi babe!” From where you stood, you had no view of Heeseung as he remained on the other side of the door, Jake stepped in as he embraced h/n and kissed her. Looking over to you, Jake’s eyes slightly widened. 

“Wow, y/n, you look very nice.” 

“Doesn’t she look beautiful? I helped!” H/n exclaims, earning a soft chuckle and endearing smile from Jake as he leans in and kisses her once more. 

Walking in, smooth as ever, Heeseung was dressed in a casual suit and tie, black and white, with one hand in his pants pocket as the other had a bouquet in his grip, yet he left it hanging at his side in such a loose manner.

‘Is he still hurting that bad?’ You wondered. 

Your question was answered the moment he looked over his shoulder and saw you off to the side. 

Immediately, the man tilts his head back as he faced the ceiling, eyes wincing as he slaps the bouquet over his face. 

“Oh…Ethan are you okay?” H/n inquires in a concerned manner. 

“You good bro?” Jake exclaims with a confused chuckle. 

He remained still, his face covered by the floral arrangement as he took a couple of deep breaths. 

Finally, he hangs the bouquet at his side, again, and with slightly watery eyes, he walks over to you, yet stared over his shoulder and kept his gaze at the wall. 

Presenting the bouquet to you, he spoke in a calm yet shaking tone as his face remained facing over his shoulder. 

“You look stunning…”

‘My fucking God …I want to fuck the shit out of her so badly right now…I want to appreciate her…why the fuck did I bring Jake? Why is h/n still here? Would it be too obvious to kick them out?…..fuck it!’

Peering back his head, Heeseung looks over to Jake and made eye contact with him. You didn’t see the gesture of his countenance, but you were sure that he signaled something quite obvious, as Jake took the hint and laughed. 

“Hahahaha…goooot it. Come on babe, let’s go see a movie.” Dragging h/n with him, Jake looks over at you with a wink as he chuckles his way out with a confused h/n following along. 

You held the bouquet tight to your chest, trembling. 

You barely got to take any moment to admire how dashing and handsome he looked, with his suit, the elegant wristwatch and his hair nicely styled and combed over, revealing more of his forehead than usual. You would have appreciated it more and complimented him, but the moment he turned his head back over to you and stared under heavy lids, your heart nearly jumped out of your chest. 

He takes a step towards you, watches as you stepped back, where he responded with another step forward. 

Back and forth, without saying a word, both of you took your series of steps until your back met the wall. 

‘Oh God….nooo….shit he’s going to eat me alive…’

“You look…..reeeeeeally beautiful…pretty baby. Really sexy in fact…” he breathes out as he pokes the inside of his cheek with his tongue and tilts his chin down, glaring at you again. 

“Oh-uh…thank you. You do too.”

“Yeah?”

‘Oh God…not that…not the ‘yeah’s’ 

Placing his hand on the wall, he leans in while the other remains resting inside his pocket. Reaching his neck down, he closes the gap and leans further into you. 

He’s close….so close. 

Taking his hand out of his pocket, and using the back of his fingers, he gently pushes the bouquet away from your chest as it remains in your grasp. With the tip of his index finger, he drags it against your skin, beginning at your chin, down your neck, and draping it all the way in the center of the crease between your cleavage, which was exposed more so than usual from the semi-plunging neckline of the dress. 

“Red is your color…you look good in all of them…but I like it best…when you wear red.” Slightly squinting his eyes in a seductive manner, he smirks as he finished his statement. “Did I ever tell you that?….PR-ET-TY BA-BY?”

His voice was calm and sensual, yet harsh and dark in tone. 

“T-thank you.” 

“Oh you’re so welcome.” He responds back as he loops his hand around your lower back and pulls you towards him. 

“Come here.”

“N-no…wait.

“I said come here.”

“Heeseung I-“

“Let me love you right now.”

“But our date…”

“This was good enough. Let’s go.”

“Heeseung but I-“

“Shhhh. I’m fucking you…right now whether you want it or not.”

Leaning in, he presses his nose against your cheek, his face at a tilt as his lips touches yours. His grip around your waist tighten as you felt his other grabbing on to your rib age, and slowly dragging itself upwards towards your breasts. 

You placed your hands on his broad chest…which looked even broader in this suit, you pulled your face away just before he kisses you and you started to plead once more…this time the desperation in your pleas was overwhelming as you knew that you had no chance in Hell to win this, given that you were dolled up and it pushed him way over the edge. 

Yet to your surprise, the moment he saw the gloss in your eyes and the frown in your brow line as you looked up at him with great sadness, he tilts his head back once again, just enough to square his face up to the wall behind you and stare at it. Biting his lip down, he stretches his neck from left to right, before slowly opening his eyes and shifts his gaze on you. 

Releasing a defeated sigh, he lets you go, and places his hand inside his pocket as the other hangs by his side. Straightening his posture, he reaches up and gently taps the ruby gem earring that dangles from your ear. Smirking, he looks at you with a soft smile. 

“You look really pretty.” 

With that, he leans in once more, this time keeping his hands to himself as he places a soft kiss to your cheek.

Whispering, his breath ticked your ear. “You ready?” 

You nodded as you slowly became composed once more, the glossiness that coated your eyes started to fade as you sniffled a couple of times. You understood he was hurting but this meant a great deal to you, and he knew that, which is why as bad as it hurts, he wanted to respect that and make it memorable for you since he loved making you happy. 

‘Ah fuck….the things I’d do for her…just for her.’

‘Heeseung…I’m fucking dying man!’

‘I know…me too.’

‘Fuuuuck…I don’t know how much more of this I can take. Shit…okay look. Just take her out and let’s do our best…for her….but once the date is over, let’s go 50/50…I need her.

‘I know the feeling. I need her too.’

‘We always need her.’

‘Yeah. Spot on, Ethan.’

Heeseung merely continued to smirk at you, and you wonder what he was thinking about as a solid minute had went by. 

“You…okay?”

“Oh yeah….I’m good. Let’s go pretty baby, we got reservations.”

“Okay.”

Taking you by the hand, he leads you out and walks you by his side, glancing over to you nearly every second. 

‘She’s so pretty…she’s everything. She’s sight, taste, touch, and sound. She’s what makes life living for….and she’s all mine.’

How many works did you publish this year? four

What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? nevermore! and not just for wordcount either, though maybe a little bit because i've spent so much time with it. i'm just extremely pleased with the world building i've done and the complexity and depth of the plot and how i've gotten so far into it and i don't feel like i've become wayward yet, which is what usually happens even before i reach this point. i'm so pleased. i'm so excited to reach 200k and see where i'm up to and what's ahead.

What work of yours has the most hits? linger, which is funny because just like the ghosts it was about it haunts me

What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? to go beyond your borders, considering it's hard to get readers to come to something that's nearly completely original and it's just my silly little mental health fic, the audience that it gathered in the short time i was actually updating it regularly was really surprising and i love them

Favorite title you used oh lyre lyre for sure, i went to great lengths to ensure that title made a modicum of sense for that fic

What work was the quickest to write? queenmaker is the quickest to write, takes like an hour per chapter if that. in terms of strictly ao3 fics, lyre lyre was the fever dream of a few days.

What work took you the longest to write? well i started nevermore on the 4th of march and as of the 29th it is disgustingly far from being finished at 140k so i just don't know if i can say anything else. nevermore doesn't actually take long to write though really, it's just that it's a 300k kind of project. relevant to word count though, the unpublished pirate fic is actually probably the thing that's taking the longest, and my original all that is good/holy.

How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year? not counting every single novel i have sitting around, it's around 15, but a very casual 15 because i just go with the vibe to the extreme and with no intention to really finish any of them except like two of em

Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? oh my god. out of 240k? yeah no worries i'll just pull it up. um. uhhhh. uhhhhhhh.

Biggest surprise while writing this year? oh that i finished nanowrimo and that if i didn't work such a physically demanding job it would have been easy. if i had all my time spare in that month i would have done 80-100k, when before this year i couldn't get past 25k a month. realising i had that capability just sitting there was crazy.

I saw that post of "damned by the name" and I agree the line hits hard. That makes me wonder what the choice of Sejanus' name must have been like. It may be a family thing (My grandfather was named that...) or I can see Strabo making a conscious choice because the Roman Sejanus ascends socially, was a prominent general and possessed traits he prized such as ambition and perhaps before our baby boy was born Strabo was ready for Vesta to give birth to a fearsome reflection of himself. Ah I digress

I'm on a discord where they usually make the recurring joke that the movie is President Snow's propaganda and honestly I'll start to consider it canon because leaving out the Plinth precisely was getting rid of the worst crimes Coriolanus committed.

He really took it upon himself to ruin that family and on top of that his conflict with them says too much about who he is as a person. And yes please, Sandwich scene haters club, it was horrible and obviously Snow propaganda.

yes!!! doomed by the name hits so hard because it reminded me a lot of cien años de soledad, which I've read like some months ago, and the trope of characters not being able to escape the fate that their NAMES carry is so powerful (and so common too, actually; my mom has this thought that names are more powerful than what we think, so she actually searched up mine and my sister's meaning, just to be sure). now, I personally think that sejanus' name came from before him (if I had to guess, a grandfather), but the idea of strabo searching up the meaning and being pleased with it bc of the story behind it. (also, it's heartbreaking the idea that strabo was probably excited for having a son, but he had this very specific idea of what he wanted in a son, and as the years passed by, sejanus got more and more soft, and strabo more and more disappointed, and just UGH)

PLSSSSSS they're so right 😭 you know when at elementary school in history class we usually get the more censored version of brutal historical things that happened? to me that's what the movie is. I was very annoyed at how coriolanus' character got so much better, but not because of him being better himself, but because every other single character got toned down or just straight up got worse than in the book. I mean, clemensia? lysistrata? sejanus? even tigris I feel like they toned her down a bit. the feeling I got, at least, is that coriolanus was made much more likeable than he is in the books, and not only regarding the fact that we don't have his internal monologue, but also because toning down the other good characters, he doesn't seem that bad actually. and again, removing the plinths didn't make explicit how FUCKED UP it was what he did (it rlly reminded me of the song brutus yk, "I don't want what you have, I wanna be you", and plus, the fact that in the book he mocks how sejanus calls his mother ma just to then he himself call her ma after getting her son dead is SOMETHING ELSE)

the sandwich scene is the most remarkable regarding this, because coriolanus taking the sandwich himself to the zoo (and in the movie it being HIS idea) made the purpose of the scene so different than what it was meant to be. coriolanus in the movie is almost sweet to me.

CORIOLANUS IS SO DENSE SOMETIMES 😭 it's the way he'll actually do something smart to then think the most stupid assumptions about lg or sejanus. like, are you getting just now that sejanus' loyalty is with his district and the people he left back home in D2??? coriolanus being jealous over marcus is really something I wish the fandom explored more, there's so much potential for that possessive pathetic man ☝️ especially because it doesn't matter if coriolanus thinks so high of himself, because marcus and sejanus have a conection he'll never have: they're from the same place. they shared the same culture and traditions and that's something coriolanus can really never get to compete at because he simply CAN'T and it would make him foam.

AAAAAA OKAY SO, I have read so many interesting threads and posts about their parallels, but my favorite one is the fact that the first time katniss met peeta was when she was a child and she was hungry, and peeta left the bread behind so she could eat it. they never talked before, and they never talked again until the games, but katniss held this memory with her. it have been so much time, but peeta was kind to her, and he was a boy she never met who was still kind and it marked her enough for her to remember him after so many years. and this DRIVES ME INSANE because it's almost the same storyline we see with sejanus and marcus, and I wonder if it was on purpose or what.

What Reader doesn't know is, Zhongli is all the same attracted to reader. So then, begins their pinning for each other, but not too obvious either.

Zhongli who is more in touch with his feelings, although he still has his doubts concerning immortality and erosion, wants to court reader.

But keep in mind, he has been alive for thousands of years and his take on dating is the (old) romantic kind. He wants to help reader if he can, to give gifts to reader and to cherish reader while being able to see them bloom and grow.

If reader likes Crystalflies (or is a traveler in desperate need of crystalflies like me sob), instead of simply capturing them and giving them to reader, he would use his elemental energy to attract crystalflies. (It is said that the crystalflies are attracted to elemental energy.) And by attracting crystalflies, he is secretly hoping that it would also attract reader's attention and maybe allow them to spend time with each other.

Cue the crystalfly resting on Reader's hair and Zhongli using this as an excuse to remove it, the tension between the two of them rising and they go for a kiss.
