It's very interesting to see anti-AI discourse among artists because it really proves that a large subsection of people think that art in any form other than The Noble Anime Fanart And Adjacent Work or The Tortured Suffering is simply not worth making and that artists that dont fit neatly into these categories are lazy, fake, underqualified etc. "AI is bad because it steals labor" and yet you just told someone to lower their commission prices because you don't think their art is good enough for them to be paid minimum wage. cuz at first ajaa wasnt even meant to exist it was just meant to be the trilogy and thats it, then while theyre porting it over to the nintendo ds capcom gives them the green light to go nuts with a bonus pseudo-dlc case and By God Do They, making the longest case yet of RFTA with fully animated 3d cutscenes + an incredibly convoluted plot that makes the most out of aa1's 3 day trial system + fully modelled 3d rotational evidence, hitting heavy themes of police corruption and evidence forgery and whatnot like they went INSANE, cuz this was supposed to be IT. this was supposed to be ace attorneys big finale and farewell but SIKE oh my god the actual Ministry Of Justice has knocked on capcoms door and told them hey can you make some propaganda for us. so now the aa team has to make propaganda for them. right after burning themselves the fuck out from creating rfta. all that time spent on rfta which couldve been development time for ajaa.... too late. cant be taken back. apollo justice is designed in less than a week and theyre marketing this game while the team is still making it, takumi crazed madman that he is decides to not rely on old characters which while that is an artistic slay, sets up the stage for a marketing failure, and a new artistic team of infinite ambition goes nuts with creating derangedly detailed animations

OK. cant persuade him away from that. might as well let some new blood handle the franchise in takumi's place then, but for The Love Of God do not make an ajaa followup. the gamers will kill us. and so the aai duology was born....... cool........ first one's reception was so bad that localization plans were dropped entirely for the sequel. wow. takumi is fresh off from ghost trick but fucking what, 5 years has passed now, and the new hot console is the nintendo THREE ds. 3ds. wowwww. fucking... PROFESSOR LAYTON kidnaps takumi to make plvpwaa and ajaa continues to be left in the dust. fucking nobody wants him. poor orphaned kitten left in the street. all while the trilogy gets 9584948 million adaptations. and yamazaki twiddles his thumbs thinking abt making aai3 but after thinking it over hes like yeah ill try making aa5. capcom lets him and.......... its over........ they tell him sure go for it But Do Not Follow Up On Apollo Everyone Hates Him please make phoenix the protag. a recipe for disaster. and a disaster aa5 is. juggling THREE protags a complete mess and they do a popularity poll and wow would u look at who came first, fucking APOLLO. JUSTICEEEEEEE. its almost like.... gamers opinions..... are not valuable in the long run.. and popular opinion has never signified artistic understanding.... aa6 comes chugging along and yamazaki addicted to racism cranks out something even worse. both aa56 makes the sales it needs but mindless fanservice can only get u so far... its been nearly 10 years since the ajaa 'trilogy' titles released and the general consensus is that Aaja Was Good and aa56 Not So Much but what can you do now? heres the apollo justice trilogy please buy it and deeply lower ur expectations for coherent and cohesive narratives which have basis in reality thank u. bc u will not be finding that here. ajaa never stood a chance.. they werent doomed by the narrative. its worse. they were doomed by STUPID FUCKING GAMERS AND STUPID EXECUTIVE DECISIONS 😭😭😭

Hi! im starting in this world of pixel art in 3d, ive seen your work like the eyes you posted today and i wanna know if you can sahre a little bit of knowledge of how can i make organic model without stretchingthe pixelated texture! cuz i cant find a good workflow to deal with this :( thank you and love your work!~

ABSOLUTELY I WILL TELL YOU!!! i love talking about 3D!!!

for example, this is the model i just posted-- minus the eyebrow mesh and the transparency! everything that's an obnoxious color isn't being handled by a texture, and everything else is usually just molded around until it looks right

ideally we'd go through the whole modeling process with references and stuff, but that's an ENTIRE new can of worms and it's a lot of pushing verts back and forth, so for an example, let's say i'm ready to apply a texture, and i'd like to start with the eye. what i would do is select the entire eyemask area, and project it from the camera, and then turn the texture back on.

now that we've got this piece of the mesh isolated, we can work on getting it to match up with our texture! the area is purposefully square since we know the eye is going to be pretty square itself, so we go in and resize the UVs to match the texture!

the camera projection gets super close, but not quite all the way there, since the mesh wasn't perfectly square to camera. so we go in and line up the UV edges to pixel edges. you DO have pixel grid snapping options, but if you zoom into your UV window far enough with grid snap on, it should snap to pixels pretty effectively.

and then unfortunately, this is the part of the recipe where they say "add salt to taste," because there's not really a right solution to it-- so i recorded a quick gif of me just doing it. you just have to kind of smudge the edges and get the UVs and the mesh to agree on a place where the pixels look just square enough to get away with trying to say it's pixel art.

but that's the basic principle of how i approach textures like these:

-decide what's very important and has to be straight

-get the rest close enough and if it looks right, it's right

-rules are fake

the size is around 30cm so average barbie size or 1/6th scale i believe?? im not actually that knowledgeable about bjd terms and shit i just want a pretty doll i can pose better than my eah dolls 💀

for inspirations this model is based on my c.a cupid design (aka big booby curvy cupid my beloved) because im insane and obsessed ofc so it only makes sense i make the bjd of her. but there wasn't really any doll inspirations?? i mean i looked at hundreds to figure out just how the fuck bjd's actually work since i dont even own one or anything (my made to move barbie actually helped a bit, she has somewhat similar mechanics so i could sometimes study her movements and shapes as i worked) , but i really just wanted a more realistic looking curvy doll so i kinda winged it because most i saw are really simplistic, over exaggerated, anime inspired or just skinny. even then she still isn't as curvy as i would have liked mostly for the fact that it was hard to find references that would show me how to deal with the pose limitations curvy dolls have.

i will say, her joints arent actually sculpted by me. i used the free elbow/knee joint and peanut hip joint by aelithArt because i literally have 0 blender experience and when i started i didnt think i could handle making joints yet. i might be able to now after finally finishing my first project, and maybe i will try to make some eventually but for now im fine with using the premade ones.

like i said she is literally my first blender and 3D modeling project ever, the only experience with blender i had before this was occasionally downloading it thinking "im going to finally learn blender" struggling to do basic things for an hour and then just uninstalling because i couldn't do anything 💀 but this time i actually followed the character sculpt tutorial by bran sculpts on youtube, and fuck it helped me so much- my ass had no idea how to use a subdivision surface or boolean before it 😭

this finished model is also the result of a second try, the first model i started and posted about on here i actually quit it because i ran into issues i didn't know how to fix at the time. im much happier with this one's face and body though, although i kinda really miss the massive tits of my old one and might make a version of the bust piece with similar boobs (part of me also really wants a penis version of the hip piece so i can make cupid cock real LMAOO).

she has her elastic channels all hollowed out (they should fit 3mm elastics if i did my measurements right, but then again i dropped out of school at 13 so dont take my word) and the inside of her head has supports for small magnets to be added.

basically all thats left for me to do is to save up and get an actual resin 3D printer because i dont actually have one 💀 thats right i spent all this time making her knowing i have no way to actually print her 😭 i cant even show off this achievement to people i know like my parents because i don't know how to explain why i sculpted a doll with nipples and a vagina.

no one even knows i draw nsfw art despite it being literally all i draw now, i just don't want these kind of conversations with anyone i know 😭 despite my shameless hornyness online i am actually very shy about these subjects when it comes to people i know irl 😔

Kicking off this blog with a game that im currently replaying, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This games particularly close to me because it was one of the first Zelda games I've played. It was specifically the one on the 3DS, aka the one I'm replaying and the one I'll talk about.

SPOILERS FOR OCARINA OF TIME!!!!

I'm extremely biased to this game. Besides that i think its one of the best! The modeling for it is very good, the music is classic for the franchise, and its overall just amazing! I quite like the ocarina mechanic in the game it was a clever way to impliment stuff like fast traveling and solitions to simple puzzles. Another thing i liked gameplay wise was the combat mechanics, its very good. Simple enough to where someone who cant fight very (me) well can beat enemies up easy peasy while still being a fun challenge.

i mentioned the modling beforehand but it really is good especially for its time. I feel like the blockyness of it is a bonus and the textures used srent utterly eye burning like in the original GameCube one. The music as well is amazing and its nice to see how it became a staple to the franchise, as some of these songs are used today (i.e. Great fairy fountian, zoras domain, Lon Lon ranch, ect.) Its honestly beautiful, the work that went into composing and art for this game is amazing and i feel like its overlooked sometimes how amazing it really is. Some of the songs aren't so great though, like the Fire temples.

The plot itself is also very good and the way its paced is splended. I kind of wish we spent some more time in the child timeline but thats just a small issue. I quite liked the characters and the dungeons were amazing, my favorites dodongos canvern because funny cave and its the first one I beat by myself as a kid (I'm still very good at it). JABBU JABBU ON THE OTHER HAND. Difficult. I hate it so much its so confusing? Walls everywhere and mazes and everything looks the same I get very lost.

Anyway, the plot is that Link, a hylian living in the kokiri forest with the Kokiri kids, gets sent on an adventure to save hyrule from Ganon by the dying Great Deku tree. Hes sent by Zelda to go get some cool rocks and access the Temple of Light and aquire the master sword and get teleported to the future to defeat Ganon then by finding all the Sages and going on more funny adventures. Then hes sent to the kid timeline forever, in which the royal family just kicks Ganon out and Navi (the beloved and not at all annoying fairy companion) flies off giving way to the sequel (and my favorite game ever) Majoras Mask. Theres more details to the plot but these are the basics to it.

Something I don't like are some of the items and how they're blocked off depending on what timeline you're in. Let me use sticks as an adult please let me hit things with sticks. I get kid Link not handling a hammer and how its meant to block things off to help puzzles be harder but. The STICKS MAN. The sticks I wish to hold them.

So basically, I like this game a lot. 8/10 points taken because i hate that stupid whale jabbu jabbu fuck you jabbu jabbu. Anyhow, back to playing this game in class whichever chance I'm able to actually beat Ganons pig form.

-the color choice omg!!! the way u use bold colors to create stark contrasts and silhouettes is so inspired and unique

-the way you're not afraid to make edgeworth unabashedly an ass. i hate seeing him being an ass but it hits HARD. it really drives the emotions of the whole thing home

-ur style reminds me of the opening of the Great Pretender anime. which is one of my fave anime artstyles so

THANK YOU SO MUCH i have put by this point literally hundreds of hours into drawing this comic so getting feedback like this means a ton to me... im glad edgeworth being a complete bastard is hitting because tbh i feel like there's a tendency to underplay exactly how awful edgeworth was when he was at his Awfulest but i think the extremely good redemption arc he gets in canon is a lot more meaningful when you remember that he was genuinely a pretty terrible person who ruined a lot of (very likely innocent) lives without it ever really registering as an issue for him.

i have not actually seen great pretender but i've heard of it and so i just went and watched the opening on youtube and this is a very flattering comparison so thank you! this is exactly the kind of art i like. and mob psycho too, definitely one of my favorites of all time - i was literally just watching it in stream with a friend for the millionth time directly before seeing this ask, and we were as always gushing about how much we like both the directing of the anime and the paneling in the manga. definitely some of my biggest artistic inspiration. i originally wanted to go into the animation industry and never really intended to draw comics so pretty much everything my comics do is to try and attempt to capture the really fun transitions and motions of animation within the confines of a static image, so i'm glad it's having some of that impact.

the proto-badger is in the realm of the dead because i think it would be funny for him to be there. that's the whole truth of it.

mia being braindead rather than dead is very much a surprise tool that will help us later - now that i've done all of the Setup things are going to begin diverting more heavily from the original sequence of events in the game. otherwise, pretty much everything would be essentially identical to the way it plays out in canon and there's not really any fun in drawing something like that. so yeah. lots more to do ! hope y'all like the rest of what i've got planned !

Pretty one and the gruff one im THINKING is He Xuan (or Ming Yi/ Ming-Xiong/Ming Bro) for the grumpy one and Shi Qingxuan for the pretty one and both are kinda gender fluid?? Its about 1 Dumb Yet So Smart gay/bi man (Wei Wuxian) who honestly tries his fucking best, fucks up everything, dies for over a decade, and then is forcefully brought back to life to solve a murder mystery with the guy who has been in Super Gay Love with him since they were teens (Lan Zhan), a bunch of teens Who Are Just Honestly Here For A Good Time And Yet (Lan Juniors, Jin Ling, and Best Boy Ouyang Zizhen ) while badly hiding his real identity from all the people he knows, including his foster brother (Jiang Cheng) who is out for blood and hunting his ass down with a whip and also Lan Zhan who is travelling with him. Also the Killer. There is a killer on the loose and is willing to murder whoever to keep their secrets. Also Nie Huaisang. I adore him and his brother Nie Mingjue, if there is one bitch u gotta remember from this summary it’s this little twink (he and his brother also have a fucking spin off movie from the live action drama THAT I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A ENGLISH SUB VERSION AND ITS BEEN KILLING ME SINCE I STARTED WATCHING THIS SHOW LAST YEAR. My Personal Current Favourite is Scum Villain’s Self Saving System (SVSSS) which is SOOOOOOO FUNNY Like it’s not as popular cause the comic was discontinued, and the anime looks like its from 2005 with the weird 3D animation but its my current comfort media!!! 

Its basically about a spite reading millennial (Shen Yuan) who died after reading a REALLY awful popular cheesy smut harem novel (think like 50 shade series but worse cause the protag had 600 wives) and was forced into the body of a minor but important villain (the protagonist’s teacher, Shen Qingqiu) from the novel who was fated to die with all his limbs cut off and his eyes and tongue plucked out and is told he has to fix the story so its not trash, he reasonably freaks the fuck out and hugs the protagonists (Luo Binghe) thigh so hard he turns him gay without realizing. Sadly, he does have to make sure certain plot points happen, which fucks him over a lot,  and he thinks Luo Binghe still wants to kill him instead of love him cause he has the Emotional Intelligence of a Rock, but its so funny reading about him handling all the awful tropey stuff, like imagine u have to be a character in My Immortal But With Porn?????? without breaking out of character too much?? I wouldn’t be able to handle it ajhakfkfhjfj He also finds out that he’s not the only transmigrator in the novel either, but it doesn’t matter cause theyre both So Fucking Stupid Collectively but everyone would honestly die for the both of them

warning for this story though, the main relationship is a teacher/student relationship, but nothing happens until the student is in his 20s and also kinda not his student anymore cause he’s running hell??? but if that squicks u out i totally understand and offer you to PLEASE still enjoy some of this media, and instead of the BingQiu ship, I offer you the LiuQiu one, where both me and the main character cry over how a beautiful man/fellow immortal lord loves the main character so much that he literally fought every day for 5 years to be by his side and I Think Thats Beautiful and I kinda like this ship more than the main one tbh PLEASE just look at the art for Liu Qingge because i love him so much, he’s like if you took Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng from MDZS and mashed them into one beautiful man the author is trying to tell me is straight but u take one look at him And Tell Me Otherwise

im so confused by the metaverse facebook thing, like, i think theyre being intentionally vague but surely theres SOME plan behind the scenes, like...is it just VRchat? is it literally just VRchat? combined with like, sim-style house designing? does anyone want this? anyway photorealistic 3D graphics good enough to be pleasant to spend a long time in require an expensive-ass computer and also really really good (and therefore, in the US at least) internet to stream live. and people know this! people have been using zoom for a year, they know their internet cant handle streaming high quality live video. and VR rigs are still really expensive!

also, i know this is kind of nitpicking but what the fuck is the control scheme supposed to be? afaik, even with full mocap suits you cant just pilot a full body avatar and look natural, like, you need animators to go in and touch it up. unless facebook's plan is to...idk, sell full-body suits to let you control your avatar? also, its so weird that "pay to look at cool art" is part of the trailer, like, people dont like paying for things! this whole thing is so half-baked

Hello my dears, how have you been?

I'm doing alright. The repairs are finished and I got to sleep on my bed again, retuning to the same— ya know; staying up till dawn to draw. All that work maybe worth it someday but for now I'm not having enough food in my system because of it, even tho I'm used to eating as little as possible— the light-headedness dries up my productivity and brain powers..

▪️Maybe it was a cause that I haven't been all hot pursuing my artistic thrive. Usually looking into the undiscovered section of dA for inspiration helps but now idk where they put it now that they update everythin, but I can't handle it. I came across this tag on twitter that was, I suppose the idea was to find the lesser known artists and whatnot. It's a lovely gesture, but we all know how social media tends to work— in highlighting the big boys. I began to see a pattern over and over, what caught the biggest numbers were realistic, cute, themed, anime and cartoony styles. I know I shouldn't do so, but I compared mine to them and it felt my style is non of anything, just so bizarre it can't fit even tho it's still just.. idk.. art? And I considered maybe because it's unusual, while still not bearing any gigantic differentiations, it's not in the comfort zone. So, I assume that's why it's not likely to get rebloged.. as far as the normal chances of rebloging goes on this site. And putting up the banner to encourage it and promote myself seemed— I can't even say if its helping me.

But I've found my muse again, with the help of my precious friends, bless your hearts with all of their desires, you guys are all the goodness causers to me throughout these times, honestly

I'm excited to start on doing more art. And regained my desire of having an iPad pro, all of its qualities capture me and I'd love to feel it advancement. My current tablet is getting a bit skin curling-ly uncomfortable— scratchy.

▪️They opened up Amazon here and I thought to check it— as usual in ks a the prices are through the roof, let's say the same device originally cost around 999$ (without the pencil) on usa Amazon which is roughly 3746 R. Here it is locally, idk if the sale applied to it or not but I wish to have it before it ends because if it cost 10k without it, I'd rather buy a junk car. (Well not really, but the thought is appealing, heh)

But seriously, I don't know how it's possible, specially that everything I earn get majorly spent on bills when I choose to withdraw it from PayPal.. (actually just gave my savings for the next month to them today) and no, my plan to get my own bank account failed because even the employer whom suppose to know what's wrong with my registration files couldn't help me, after all these weeks of waiting..

But I'm still hopeful

Oh and the festival coming soon. Is on the 31th, I think.. I wonder if people would be allowed to gift meat. Anyway~

hello!!! such a huge fan of your work, and absolutely can't wait for wizards!!! you mentioned that you're the art director on wizards, i was just wondering what that role entails and how its different from your work on trollhunters/3below? if you cant answer, thats totally fine, just super curious!!

Well, on Trollhunters my work was mostly as a texture artist, which means that I painted up lineart and 3D models to look like the final 3D model so we can send to our vendors to get it made, towards the end of Trollhunters I was tapped to do more ‘design’ work meaning, concept art and line art and character design which helped me transition into full time visual development concept artist on 3Below.  My job was to design characters, props and environments and do lineart orthographics of those designs (technical lineart of front, side and back views of any asset or prop or character), sometimes the designs would be passed to other artists to make line art and paint up depending on what we needed in the pipeline.  I worked very closely with the AD on 3Below Alfonso Blaas (who is now production designer, and my boss on Wizards) to help design the visual language of the world.  As an AD my role remained somewhat the same, I’m given the trust to design hero assets and props, but I often only do concept art now and follow the direction of Alfonso Blaas and our directors and of course, GDT.  Alfonso and I work with the design artists to create the world of Wizards.  A newer aspect of my job is largely quality control, making sure everything is designed in style, giving feedback to artists, and also giving the vendors feedback to make sure every asset is up to our show standard. A newer facet is that I’ve also started to work on color and lighting keys for the show and is an exciting new task that I haven’t handled professionally before.

as for sifas, i spent over two weeks rerolling, finally got my desired acc, played on it for a few days and.... uhhh... dropped. lol

i can see why sifas is enjoyable to some of you but idk, the rpg aspect doesn’t work for me. i just find the team-building overcomplicated, gameplay is boring. the srs art are kinda underwhelming as well. the best thing abt sifas are the gorgeous urs and 3d models, but then again, my phone cant handle 3d so i guess part of the game’s charm is lost for me. 

also petty reason but i have HORRIBLE luck in sifas for some reason lol. imo gacha luck is literally crucial in this game.

if you’re having fun with sifas then good for you. its just not my cup of tea. that being said, there’s still room for improvement. i’ll definitely give sifas another shot in the future and we’ll see :D

Holy jesus i knew they did hd ps4 ports of the playstation games but they ALSO added all the final mix content that engkishspeaking fans never got during my childhood? And they ALSO remade chain of memories entireky in 3d with Very Animated Ice Dad?? And they ALSO remade BBS despite it not needing it nearly as much as the old games and thet ALSO remade friggin dream drop distance which came out on a goddamn current gen console?? Like they seriously just made a non portable version?? Now all the spinoffs are on the same console at last?? Why did you not just do this in the first place?? I mean the psp and 3ds games were basically ps2 equivelant graphics and disc space anyway...

And also Coded and Days, which is a really big shame cos Coded is indeed sparse enough on content to deserve it but Days was my FAVOURITE GAME and it sucks its the only one that didnt get remade! I mean its in the same spinoff category as bbs and com, its not a cheapo mess like coded. Nothing else in the series deserves to be shoved in the Coded bin, even khux at least has better plot even if the backtracking and lootbox shit makes it harder to get to it...

Anyway ALSO a random new sidestory with Aqua going thru like one dungeon or somethin?? I dunno?? Its like a glorified tech demo for kh3, its just 'hey fuckin look what we can do visually on a proper ps4 game' and wow how have i never fuckin heard of this it looks so pretty!! I mean i dont know if its even more than 5 hours or somethin but.. Pretty!! And apparantly you get unlockable costumes for her or somethin? I hope they keep that feature in kh3! Itd rock if it wasnt just the main character too, and we could dress up riku and kairi and goofy and donald and roxas and axel and every the friends :3 new secret to how they defeat xehanort: slap a bow on his damn head

I really just DONT KNOW! ive been out of the fandom for so long and my last experience was really hatting BBS and feeling horribly out of place as everyone else raved about it being the best thing ever. And i know NOTHING about what kh3 is gonna be or whether its even possible for me to get back into the fandom and like.. Care about it at all again. I just got fuckin fatigued with it and my teenage years were like me clinging on to the edge of a cliff by my fingernails begging everyone to believe me that Its Still Good, Honestly, Its Worth It while square enix is up there all LONG LIVE THE KING and they push me off. Into a stampede of PSPs. Somehow.

And then aaargh i know i literally only came back to the fandom because organization xiii fuckin eternally holds my heart in their lil grabby hands. It was indeed a good nostalgic moment remembering how i loved them! And getting a new appreciation for Vexen and being blown away by how much he should have been my favourite but i just never got to play COM as a kid and then when i played it as an adult all the way after bbs i ended up quitting before even getting to meet half the org cos this one stupid 'defeat 99 shadows jn 99 seconds' mission kicked my ass. I'M JUST NOT GOOD AT ACTION RPGS OKAY!

Aaaagh thats another Big Worry, yknow? Like asa kid i was Bad, as an adult i'm Barely Better , and as a both i never enjoyed beat em up thingies of any kind at all. And on top of that i was never big into disney, i never saw them as any sort of 'childhood magic' but just some naff cliche shit retelling public domain fairy tales in the safest way possible with a bunch of obnoxious celebrity cameos. Also lion king and snow white terrified me as a kid. Also i associated robin hood with my dead grandma. Also as a kid i couldnt appreciate good artistic ability or voiceacting, i was all about the story, yknow? And most of kh's adaptations are really rushed and barebones versions of an already shoddy story, without any of the visual splendor. ALSO i never saw any of the darker or more emotionally focused stuff like Hunchback and Beauty and the Beast until way after i quit playing kingdom hearts, oddly enough. Wtf beauty and thebeast is actually real good and looks so far beyond its time!! Wtf hunchback has my goddamn evil dad in it!! Why did i miss the only good didneys!! Why did snow white traumatize me and those didnt!!

ANYWAY the point im getting at is that im not inherantly predisposed to like.. Any of kingdom hearts's appeal at all. I didnt know half the disneys and i didnt have any hype for the others. None of my fave final fantasy games made it into it until the sequel and then never again after that. CMON I CANT JUST DEAL WITH ONE VIVI CAMEO Y'ALL! And i haaaate the genre and its an uphill struggle to play a game like that with my stupid inelegant sausage hands. So i just came for the story and then everything after the first game has been conspiring to ruin it for me, sheesh! I felt so much for that short concise self contained first episode and then i fall more and more out of love as they establish this status quo of everything being retconnable so dont bother get attatched to it. Blablabla the entire worldbuilding is different now and everyone was secretly someone else and please memorize a bunch of shit from fifty fuckin spinoffs and also time travel and cloning suddenly exist and ALSO Grandpa Onlyblackmanintheworld is generic motiveless evil and everything was him even of it looked like it was actually a sympathetic villain. *insert dio meme face*

So yeah now im just.. In it for the characters?? And the cute art style and monsters and lovely animations and big fanfic oc potentials stuff. But man even tho i had Big Feel for those things i was able to completely drop it all and forget about the series for years, that was just HOW BAD the kh3 drought was. Steven universe hiatus eat your heart out...

So ffff i dont even KNOW if i'll be able to get feels'd for these characters again or if they actually hold up to modern bunni standards of huggable. And i know all the ones i want to hug the most got like zero sympathy and all died horribly and were also retroactively revealed to be clone oldmanvirus somethingy and aaaaaagh. But also something something people say they all came back and got cured?? And this is why?? I am here?? Again?? And buying?? The thing??

Like man fuck i am already building it up so much in my head aaaa what if i dont actually love axel as much as i used to love axel and i dont love Grumply Science as much as i always love That Character Archetype seriously MAN how was he like THE ONLY ONE I DIDNT GET TO SEE AS A KID

i havent ever gotten past the peace keepers levels in spyro 1

here are my feelings about the spyro 1 port for ps3 anyway

animations: 10/10, very cute. spyro in particular has really cute animations and expressions

art style: 9/10- in danger of being a little generic at times. super saturated, lots of hellgreen grass, but i do like color, and the pastel sunset skies and the opaque sparkly gems look very iconic. the squashy low poly cartoony characters are also very appealing

racism: definitely in here (in some of the enemy designs, specifically, a lot of them feel like bad stereotypes that have not aged well)

humor: ranges from tolerably retro cheesy to painful

lag: PRESENT! hey ps3, and also this port, you suck if you can't handle an ancient game like this without horrific amounts of lag when more than 5 moving objects are on the screen at once. also the ps3's fan started screaming as soon as i started it up, but maybe the ps3 just sucks

gameplay: 4/10 ohhhhhhhhh early 3d platforming bad... (i am also terrible at mario 64, so this may be partially on me)

music: 7/10 its iconic and good but loops quickly and haphazardly and it can become maddening when you get stuck listening to it for 30 minutes while you try to do painful platforming

OVERALL SCORE: i cant get past peacekeepers/10

My phone, but im sure thats a given. although its very noticeable, i’ve got a nice clunky case so i can use my phone as a brick to hit someone without damaging my phone (only half joking). and some form of entertainment otherwise. usually my 3ds, sometimes a manga volume. 

Five Things You’ll Find in My Bedroom: I was going to make a generalization that would encompass too many things, but i’ll separate them. Lots of adolescent-aimed books. i used to be a bookworm and no matter how many times i got rid of books i knew i didnt need, i still have 3 bending shelves. Swords. One wooden anime replica, and two real ones. Snake tanks, of course. im shocked i can fit everything in here with them. Plush animals. I am 21 years old and will not let them go. Its the same situation as the books, I’ll put some in storage (my garage) but wont let enough leave my room. And ocarinas. i have 4, used to be able to play them. been too long though. 

Five Things I Want to Do With My Life: I definitely aspire to be a snake breeder one day. I know im not there yet, but one day. I want to make a good wife to someone. I never think of myself this way, but my current partner has inspired in me the desire to be such a thing. I want to be proud of myself. Five Things I’m Into Right Now: Pokemon, as always. I’ve been experimenting with themed teams, such as a really weird doubles combo i heard of once, and it works. Monogatari. Its a really weird anime series, animated in a way that you really only notice what a novel would describe, but its really good. i recommend it if you can get used to it. Furry art. Also Digimon, the new game (digimon world: next order) is out and im enjoying it. Oh, and kookburras. the weird australian birds, i find them fascinating. but unlike my snakes, i dont think i’d be suited to have one ever. reason in the last answer. 

Five Things on My To-Do List: 1- Get that internship in my field. gonna be a computer technician, which i plan to use to save money to move to a place where i can become a snake breeder. 2- get Coco eating again. damn hognoses and winter fasting. i love her and i miss her but rules say i cant touch her aside from check ups until her fast is over. 3- perfect my fried chicken recipe. i did it well but under cooked it today, im afraid i might be sick because of it. 4- get my ass to sleep. 5- learn to care for myself the way i care for my animals. 

Five Things People Don’t Know About Me: As promised, i will share why i dont think i could care for any bird. im afraid of handling birds. the little ones seem so fragile, the big ones are so pointy. so its either im afraid of hurting it, or im afraid of having my eyes pecked out, fingers bit off, or otherwise. im especially kinky too. to the point the better question is “what doesnt turn me on?” as long as its not in the realm of obscure fetishes. i still have my middle school artwork hanging on my room walls. i feel like i did better art back then and only midway through high school. past that point i lost passion, and now i lost practice. even though a lot fo it looks crappy since it was before i recieved any instruction, i feel like i was happier with it. i also sufferend insomnia so bad for 2 years of my life that i was hallucinating every day at the ages 11-13. and lastly, me and my boyfriend are in an open relationship, but we dont act on it much at all. he is suprised because before me he was a classic fuckboy, but me not acting on it isnt as surprising.

How the Legendary Mod Zerak found his love for Fire Emblem

i remember when i was a kid, i played super smash bros melee and loved playing as marth but didnt know what game he was from and asked my older brother but at the time he didnt even know so i left it.

years later in 2006 my older brothers friend came over with a few games for a sleep over, 2 of which became my favorite games for he longest time. one was a yugioh game (which i found out later not many people like that game) and the other game was fire emblem path of radiance which i saw the box art and wanted to play it at that moment. at the time i had never seen a strategy game and was confused at first on why you didnt control one character and just fight it out, but the idea of controlling diffrent units all at once. so i begged them if i could play and they agreed as they when out to hang outside. i played the game the whole night and begged them to let me borrow the game cause i loved it so much as a 10 year old (as as a kid i didnt really read much so i didnt know about when units die they are gone forever so i thought they would come back by the end of the game) i ended up somehow getting them to give me the game for free 

but a year or 2 later my brother pulled me aside to show me that there was a game after fe9 and i was so happy cause i still had birthday money and got it as soon as i could. but it didnt last long cause my brother didnt let me play my own game cause it was his wii and he ended up breaking it, so i had had to buy another one to play it and as a kid i can say it was worth it cause i played it so much that my friends knew what it was cause i talked about it so much and tried to get them to play it. i didnt make the connection that marth and roy were from fire emblem until i played ssb brawl later on when i saw that ike and marth at the same game icon

 i didnt really know much about the older fire emblem games cause when i was younger i was never on the internet and had no idea how many of them there were or how to get a hold of them so i didnt get to play them ( i still dont really have a way to play them cause my laptop cant handle a emulator ) 

when i found out they were making a game a new fire emblem game for th 3ds i was so happy cause i was told fire emblem was a dying series and that this was most likely the last game so i got it as soon as i could and i had a really great time playing it and brought back so many good memeries that i honestly was tearing up when i got to the end of the game and was so happy that that i got to play this game, then when fates was shown off for the first time i was so hyped i jumped in the middle of class 

these games have made so happy over the years and cant wait to play the new games coming in the coming years and the old games that i didnt get to play and im happy to be apart of this community
