OH GOSH you would not BELIEVE how often I get this question and I never have any idea how to answer it!

I've known since I was a kid that I want a soft, eye-pleasing art style. The kind that if you put it in your mouth, it would feel chewy and warm. Does that make sense? I also wanted a more American art style (since anime was so cringe when I was just starting to draw, I tried to stay away from the very cliche anime eyes and body proportions, and that sort of has always stuff with me)

I guess my biggest piece of advice is to consume a LOT of different media and take what you like best out of all of them and start there! I remember tracing a lot of my favorite artist's art to get into the habit of how they draw certain things until I could do it on my own! (Tracing is absolutely fine when you are starting out, but only as a learning tool. Do not post said tracings on any social media platform and try to pass it off as your own)

And also make sure to draw consistently and draw, a lot of the time, for yourself. You don't have to do it everyday, but progress is slow, and sometimes you don't always notice improvement until months or even years later, so make sure to stick with it! I've been drawing for almost 17 years, and it's only been within the past year or so that I am FINALLY confident in my art enough to be proud of it and to like how I draw. Make sure you are patient with yourself, it will come to you eventually. <3

When you ask 'What are we?', he panics. He doesn't know. He isn't ready to be a boyfriend, to meet your parents, to open up about his life-

His internal monolog is interrupted by your hand on top of his own. He hadn't realized how anxious he must have appeared- sweaty, hands trembling, shallow breaths, the works. He felt like he was being strangled, and all of this was over a simple question. Why did he ever think he could do this?

You tell him it's okay. You tell him you don't need an answer now if he's not ready. You say that you're fine with the way things are, and if he isn't ready to move forward yet, you'll wait for him.

You tell him you'll always love him regardless.

The world might as well have stopped spinning, because you love him?

He wants to tell you he loves you too, but he's scared. He's still waiting for you to leave. For him to lose feelings. For this to all have been a huge waste of time, or for you to realize you deserve better as soon as he confesses how he really feels.

For a split second, he thinks about leaving. About ghosting you. Maybe even breaking up with you- but that would require him to admit there was something there in the first place. It felt like you had snaked your way around his heart and were squeezing with all your might.

God, he couldn't imagine himself without you. He felt like a fool, naive and childish all over again. Why were you so patient with him? Couldn't you see there was something rotting inside of him?

Once again, he's dragged out of his mind by your presence. You look worried. He can't fathom why you would be worried about him. Nonetheless, he squeezes your hand in return. A simple gesture, but it means the world to you. You know he's trying. You know he's fighting with himself and losing half the battles.

You're determined to win the war.

Now that I've been working for multiple years, the whole "if we raise [minimum] wage to be livable, then prices will skyrocket!!!" idea is really just corporate bootlicking and pretty asinine when you're witnessing prices (in real time!) increase astronomically for the same quality of product while your raises as a worker are only 10¢ increases at a time at most.

The prices are already skyrocketing, yet the minimum wage is comparatively stagnant. I wonder why this could be, because it isn't the greedy workers that are price gouging you.

I woke up within a cold sweat with this botw/totk zelink headcanon but i like to think Link actually proposed to Zelda but in an unplanned unofficial way. Like...a week after totk happens and they're having their first breakfast at Hateno (or maybe Akkala) and Zelda's rambling about how she's sad she never recorded ancient food recipes she's tried at her time in the past and Link just stops her and goes "hey...do you want to get married?"

Zelda's visibly like ??? huh??? and he repeats it. She's a lil spooked cause where is this coming from. Also she's dense so she says "well...I've...assumed I'll be married sometime in the future..." not connecting that he's literally proposing to her and he smiles so sweetly at her and says "I mean with me. Will you want to marry me?" And he steps over to her side of the table and finally gets on one knee.
