Animal Band-aids - Young K
Tumblr media
(Admin: Babyboiii this was originally part of the Hurt series I’m working on, but I decided to just make this bit a oneshot)
“Stop being such an angsty teenager and let me clean this up,” your glare is just as fierce as his own he lets out a defeated sigh knowing he won’t get anywhere with you and releasing the tension in his arm allowing you to pull it forward.
You run the antibacterial wipe on his hand and wrist: “I can’t tell if this blood is yours or his,” you mutter Younghyun lets out a small laugh looking down, “why did you start fighting again?”
“I don’t have any reason not to anymore,” Younghyun says and you can feel his eyes burning holes in your face, “you’re not going to stop me,” he grumbles looking away from you.
“Yeah, I guess I can’t stop you anymore,” you murmur, “I’m dating Jaehyung, not that you’ll care,” you say continuing to clean up the cut on his hand before opening the band-aid package.
“I figured you two were dating he’s practically glued to your side,” Younghyun mutters you wrap the band-aid around Younghyun’s cut finger and another one on his knuckles.
“These were the first band-aids I saw,” you say leaning forward to put the next one on the small cut that’s on his cheek.
Younghyun keeps you in place silently not letting you move from your place. It takes you a second to regain your composure before you push his arm away and then pulling yourself up from your spot on the ground and holding your hand out to him which he takes.
“Thanks,” Younghyun says holding his hand up with a small smile showing the animal covered band-aids that were on his hand he presses his lips into a line before turning away.

I’m the Best
DAY6 Extra Member AU
Summary: [Requested] It’s Parker’s first stream, and Jae’s on it so it’s bound to get loud.
Warning: swearing
Taglist: @hyunmijung @galacticstxrdust @kimonmars @mythicalamphitrite @poutypoutybin @sunflower-0180
Let me know if you’d like to be added or removed from a taglist.
A/N: Was taken place before Jae decided to stop streaming. This was requested, which is why I wrote it. Parker, Sam, Lexi, and Bao are written by request, and seeing as I have time this week, send in any requests you have for them.
Requests are open! Please like, leave a comment, or send an ask. Doing any of these things is one more reason for me to keep writing.
Tumblr media
“Okay guys, I’d like to introduce the newest member of Day6 that will now be on Twitch,” Jae spoke into his mic, looking at the camera.
“Hiya,” Parker greeted as she turned her camera on. She waved and grinned at all the comments flooding in. Parker was honestly surprised to see so many people joining her first stream.
Ollie, Yoori, and Jae finally convinced Parker to open up her own Twitch account, and here she was, being introduced in one of Jae’s streams.
“It took so much convincing, but I got the child on here,” Jae nodded proudly.
“Ollie and Yoori were the ones who did more of the convincing. Jae just offered to buy me food,” Parker pointed out, smirking.
“It worked, though. Didn’t it?” Jae shrugged, looking into the camera.
“This is true, but you better actually follow through,” Parker glared at the screen. She then looked at her second screen where all the comments were coming in. Chuckling she read one of them out loud.
“Jae get her something delicious!”
“Alright, alright. What do you want?” Jae rolled his eyes as he pulled out his phone.
“Can you order that vegan kimbap from that restaurant that Brian found?” Parker asked, reaching for her strawberry smoothie.
“Sure. I think I have it saved here,” Jae spoke as he looked through his phone. “Want anything else?”
Parker shrugged, but then answered out loud when she saw that he wasn’t looking. “Surprise me.”
“You’re actually pretty easy to please as long as it’s vegan, so I gotchu,” Jae snorted.
“Okay then while we wait for the food to get here, how about we start up a game?” Parker suggested, already pulling up Mario Kart. They had decided to start off with this game, then see where it’d take them.
“Sounds good,” Jae said as he put his phone back down, “The food should be by your place in about half an hour.”
“Perfect! Dowoonie will probably bring it in for me,” Parker smiled, setting up the code and sending it to Jae.
“Must be nice to have your very own servant,” Jae sighed, shaking his head.
“Hey! He’s my best friend, not my servant. He’s just a sweetheart!” Parker defended, wishing Jae was next to her so she could punch him in the arm.
“Sure,” Jae quriked a brow at her.
“Whatever,” Parker rolled her eyes, then muted herself as the game loaded. “Such an annoying human,” she spoke into the mic for her viewers to hear. The Aussie chuckled as they laughed with her.
“You better not be talking crap about me! I’ll know,” Jae warned Parker.
“I always talk crap about you,” Parker snarked once she was unmuted then stuck her tongue out.
“Real mature,” Jae rolled his eyes.
“Thank you,” Parker said, smugly.
The two silently went through their character lists and then chose what karts and modifications they wanted, then after a game of rock, paper, scissors, Parker got to choose which track.
“What’s the point of you picking, if you always end up picking at random?” Jae threw his head back in annoyance.
“It’s so I can get that exact reaction from you, my friend,” Parker cackled.
As the first race began, Jae and Parker focused on their tasks, but soon the oldest started talking again.
“So, Parker, what’s your streaming gonna look like? Schedule, games, etc.?” the guitarist asked.
“Well, seeing as we’re still prepping for some things, it might not be too often, but after all that is set, it’ll probably once a week? How’s that sound guys?” Parker directed the last question towards the viewers.
Taking a quick peek at their comments, Parker saw that they liked that idea. She smiled, holding a quick thumbs up then focusing back on the controllers
“As for games, I play anything and everything. So you guys can suggest. I’ll probably even make a roulette type thing with different games on them and let fate chose,” Parker nodded at her own idea.
“I seriously hate playing with you! Like why are you so good?!” Jae yelled as he fell off the track and had to wait to be placed back on it.
“Simple. I’m just the best. Always have been. Isn’t that right, guys?” Parker winked at the camera, resting her chin on her palm.
Jae snorted, then screamed when Parker launched a squid. “The ink!”
The maknae cackled as she advanced to the finish line. “Hell yeah!” she cheered, doing a little dance.
“Don’t get too cocky. I’m getting hyped now. I’m not letting you win. I’m not letting her win,” Jae repeated the last bit to his viewers.
“As if he could ever win,” Parker smirked at her own viewers.
A knock came from her door, and Dowoon popped his head in. “Soo, your food,” he said, scurrying in. He smiled quickly at the camera, and Parker snorted as his hood was completely covering his head, zipped and tied.
“Very nice, Oppa,” Parker smiled.
Dowoon saluted, then shouted, “Hey, Hyung!” then ran out.
“I didn’t even get to say hi,” Jae pouted.
“Oops,” Parker shrugged as she opened her food. She smiled at the kimbap and veggie rolls, along with another one of her favorite smoothies, this one being mango.
“Did I do good?” Jae asked, arms folded over his chest, smirking.
Parker, who was mid bite of her veggie roll, sent a thumbs up, cheeks filled to the brim. “Mm-ood-mf,” she tried answering.
Jae rolled his eyes. “Finish chewing,” he waved her off.
Parker nodded, but instead of talking after she was done chewing, she took another bite, this time of the kimbap.
Jae chuckled then after sending a sneer towards Parker, started the next round.
“Yah!” Parker protested, obviously not ready. She choked a bit on her food, and Jae just snickered. “You’re going down, Park Jaehyung!” Parker dropped her food to pick up her controllers again.
“Where’s the respect?” Jae asked, laughing.
“There’s never respect in Mario Kart, you made that abundantly clear,” Parker as she hollered, zipping past him.
“How?!”
Parker then started singing I’m The Best by 2NE1. She could definitely get used to streaming.

     “i don’t wanna hang up yet...” you murmur over the screen. your brother’s trademark laugh echoes through the small speakers of your phone. “then don’t, dummy.” you chuckle a bit yourself, having missed your older brother’s annoying nature. “but i need to go to bed, asshole. you’re boring me to the point where i’m yawning.” you state, making sure to tack an over-exaggerated yawn on at the end for dramatic effect. “alright, alright, fine. hang up, then! see if i care.” he cries, leaning up from his hotel bed as he waves his hands in the air. a grin forms on your lips and you roll your eyes at his theatrics. you know that he’d probably scold you for this, so your chest swells with pride in the slightest bit, knowing that he can’t.
     “you need to get some sleep, too, old man.” you say, which earns a scoff from the “old man” in question. “yeah, yeah little bro. whatever.” the two of you share a laugh, it feels nice, though neither of you would ever admit to it. there’s a moment of silence before your brother takes a small inhale, “goodnight, man. love you.” “goodnight, old man. love you too.”

Kinktober Day 6 : Edging from this prompt list
ᴡᴏʀᴅs : 411
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢs : ᴠᴇʀʏ sᴍᴜᴛᴛʏ ; ᴄʀʏɪɴɢ
Tumblr media
[9:29am 💌] 'Do you think you deserve to cum?' Younghyun snarled against your neck as he twisted your upper body over and pushed one of your knees up against the sheets, pinning you down by the waist and elbow as he slammed his hips into you. The heat and length of him grazing along your walls as he quickened his pace.
'Please..' was all you were able to gasp out as he snapped his hips against yours, jolting the air out of your lungs with every thrust. You could feel the pressure build again in your stomach, your toes and it was unbearable. 'Please let me cum.'
'But why?' He moved to take his weight off of you, instead opting to burn his palm into your waist.'You've been so bad today; teasing me all throughout lunch. Flirting with my friends. I asked you to stop and what did you do?'
'I'm sorry,' you mumbled against the bedding, broken sobs scratching their way out from inside of you as he slowed again, pulling out of your slick heat, chasing away your orgasm for what was maybe the forth time; you weren't sure. Intent on breaking you. You couldn't argue; not only because you could barely formulate a sentence that wasn't a plea or an apology. But also because he wasn't wrong. You'd done nothing but tease all day; sliding your hand up his thigh during dinner, getting unnecessarily close to whisper stupid inside jokes into Sungjin’s ear that could easily have been relayed without having to press your chest into his arm surely. It was hardly your fault; Younghyun hadn't touched you like this in weeks and you were desperate.
You whined as he slid against you, holding your hip tightly as he snaked back between your folds slowly, letting his thick cock drag between your legs, against your opening without giving you what you wanted. Deliberate. His other hand came to rest lightly against your throat as he leaned over your contorted form under him to ghost his lips against yours, his hair falling into his eyes as he did. You knew he could probably feel you making futile attempts to get yourself off without having him inside you, your abdomen clenching under him. You knew he didn't care. No matter how close he was as well, he could keep you teetering on insanity for as long as he pleased and you would cry and let him.
'No you're not. Not yet anyway.'

I hope yall enjoyed the journey! Smutmas Masterlist AO3 Link
Chan liked to think he was a confident person, normally he had no problem being the one to take charge. But here, at his first real party he was completely out of his element, switching between hovering near the only people he knew and standing awkwardly against the wall. His grip was tight around the plastic cup that held some mystery alcohol his friend had handed him as soon as he arrived. He took small sips occasionally, he didn't love the taste but was too awkward to get anything else.
He was wandering back to his trusty spot against the wall when his eyes landed on you and Younghyun casually talking to one of the mutual friends the three of you shared. Immediately he fixed his hair and adjusted his appearance, trying his hardest to look like he belonged. He tried not to stare but couldn't help himself as he watched Younghyun drape his arm across your shoulders, his thumb absentmindedly rubbing circles into your skin. He nearly jumped as his eyes wandered back up and he saw that you were looking at him, one eyebrow cocked as you glanced down towards Younghyun's hand and back up, tilting your head in a silent question.
Chan smiled and shook his head, trying to convince you that he was just zoning out. You squinted at him playfully before turning back to your conversation. Chan tried to be more covert with his staring, scanning his eyes across the party, trying his best to keep an eye on you in his peripheral vision. He couldn't stop his heart from fluttering as he saw you lean up to whisper something into Younghyun's ear that made him turn his attention to Chan. The younger boy tried to give him a casual smile and nod, which Younghyun returned before looking away.
Chan knew he was being foolish, his friends full out laughed at him one time when he got a little tipsy and confessed that he had a crush on both you and Younghyun. But he had heard a rumor that the two of you were open to inviting a third person into your bed and as much as he hated to give credit to rumors, he couldn't help but hope that he could be that person at least once.
His thoughts were quick to wander off in that direction, his lack of experience in that area meant that he got excited easily and he would be damned if he popped a boner while the two of you were so close. He pulled his mind back and focused on the party, glancing around he couldn't help the twinge of panic he felt when he realized he couldn't see you or Younghyun anymore. His mind raced with thoughts questioning whether or not he had scared the two of you away by staring, maybe you had felt his awkwardness from across the room and decided to leave. He did his best to push the panic away as he scanned the party hoping to catch a glimpse of one of you.
He sighed in relief as he spotted Younghyun entering the kitchen. Thinking that he maybe needed to loosen up a bit, Chan decided to brave going to the kitchen for a new drink. He pushed away from the wall and was about to take a step when he was stopped by a hand on his shoulder. He jumped at the sudden contact and spun to the side to figure out why someone touched him.
"Going so soon?" you asked, a sly smile on your face as you held back a giggle at Chan's wide eyes.
"I -uh- was just going to the uh, the kitchen?" Chan sputtered, entirely unprepared to be talking to you, he could feel his cheeks heating up as he struggled to talk and wanted nothing more than to crawl into a hole and never come out.
You laughed, the sound was like music to Chan's ears and he found himself zoning out, focused on the way your lips moved while you talked. It wasn't until you stopped talking that he realized he hadn't actually heard anything you were saying. He shook his head, "Sorry, what?" he asked, making you laugh again.
"How much of that have you had?" you asked, gesturing to his cup.
"Not enough apparently," he mumbled before taking a swig and immediately regretting it, he grimaced at the taste and couldn't hold back a cough as the alcohol burned its way down his throat.
"Not enough for what?" you asked once he seemed like he had recovered from his drink.
"Not enough to stop being so damn nervous," he responded without thinking, his eyes widened as he realized what he said. So much for his plan to seem cool in front of you, he braced himself for you to laugh at him for being nervous but you only leaned slightly closer to him.
"What's making you nervous?" you asked, your voice seemed slightly lower than before but he assumed it was just his mind playing tricks on him.
He thought for a second before deciding to go with the truth, "I've never actually.. been to a party before," he confessed with a sigh.
"Well you picked a pretty boring party for your first one," you responded, he was shocked that his confession didn't trip you up at all but he was also grateful, he wasn't sure he could've handled the embarrassment of having to explain how inexperienced he was to you. "What made you come tonight?" you asked.
Chan sputtered, trying to come up with a valid reason for coming to conceal that he was really hoping to see you and Younghyun. "I -uh- yknow- just -uh- cause," he said, mentally slamming his head into a wall for not being able to come up with a response better than 'just cause'.
You cocked an eyebrow at him, "Just cause?" you asked before the tiniest smirk appeared on your face, "Are you sure you weren't here to see someone?" you asked, tilting your head innocently.
Chan could practically hear his heart racing, he tried to convince himself that you were just asking him an innocent question and it wasn't like you could read his mind or anything. The fact that you had leaned closer to him again wasn't helping him focus at all, "N-nope, no one, d-definitely not," he stammered out.
You hummed, "Damn, I thought you were here to see me," you said with a pout before leaning back.
Now Chan was conflicted, should he confess that he was actually here to see you in case you were being serious, or stick to his story and try to match your lighthearted attitude. He decided to combine the two in the hopes that it would get a laugh from you, "Oh, you're right I forgot, I'm totally just here for you," he said with a chuckle.
You let out an overdramatic gasp, "Chan I have a boyfriend," you said, slapping his arm lightly.
Chan panicked slightly, his brain searching for a way to respond without making things weird when he was surprised by the feeling of an arm wrapping around his shoulders. He jumped and looked to his side to see Younghyun who immediately leaned all of his weight onto the smaller boy causing Chan's shoulder to bump into the wall. "Did I just hear you flirting with my girlfriend?" Younghyun asked, looking down and cocking an eyebrow at Chan.
"N-No I was just-" Chan scrambled for an answer before Younghyun cut him off.
"Relax, I'm just messing with you," Younghyun said with a smile before standing up straight, taking his weight off of Chan but not moving his arm. "What'd I miss?" Younghyun asked you, ignoring the way Chan was trying to collect himself, being this close to both of you was proving to be too much for him to handle.
"Chan was just telling me this is his first party ever," you said with a smile, stealing Younghyun's drink to take a sip before passing it back.
"Really? You deserve a better first party experience than this," Younghyun said with a frown.
"I-I mean it doesn't seem that bad," Chan said, his eyes flicking quickly between the two of you.
"A party is supposed to be fun, not just 'not that bad'," Younghyun said.
"I say we make this more fun for him," you said, shooting a look at Younghyun that confused Chan.
"H-How?" Chan asked, now desperate to be let in on the silent conversation the two of you seemed to be having.
"Channie, you trust us right?" Younghyun asked, looking down at the smaller boy softly.
"Y-Yeah?" Chan responded, trying his best to hold back his nerves.
"So what if we said we could make your first party unforgettable?" you asked, reaching down to take one of his hands gently into your own.
At this point Chan was positive he was dreaming, the scent of Younghyun's cologne was making him feel drunk and the way you were rubbing your thumb gently across the back of his hand wasn't helping.
"Channie?" Younghyun asked, stepping away from the smaller boy to look at him when he realized it didn’t seem like he was going to respond.
At the feeling of Younghyun moving away from him, Chan couldn’t help the tiny whine that slipped from his mouth. His eyes went wide when he realized what happened, his hands immediately flew up to cover his mouth, he couldn’t bear to look at the two of you opting instead to try and wiggle out from underneath Younghyun’s arm. The older boy only tightened his grip around Chan’s shoulders and stepped closer to him once again, “I won’t go anywhere if you don’t want me to, Channie,” he cooed. Immediately Chan’s cheeks flushed a bright pink and you did your best to bite back a smile as you brought your hands up to pull his own off of his face.
“T-Thank you,” Chan mumbled softly.
“So polite,” you hummed making Chan duck his head as his blush deepened.
“What do you say we move this somewhere with less... eyes,” Younghyun said, peering at the couple of people that had taken notice of the way the two of you had seemingly cornered the poor boy.
“Are you okay with that, Chan?” you asked, leaning down to meet his eyes where they were trained on the floor.
“Y-Yeah,” Chan said softly and you smiled. You let go of his hands, not missing the tiny whimper that left his lips before you turned around and began leading the two boys towards one of the bedrooms at the back of the house. Once you found an empty one, you pushed the door open wide enough to allow Younghyun to guide Chan into the room before stepping in behind them, shutting the door, and turning the lock to keep out any unwanted visitors. You moved to the bed where Younghyun had sat next to Chan, his arm still wrapped around Chan who was now leaning subtly into Younghyun’s side.
“What are you thinking, Channie?” you asked softly, taking notice of the far away look on his face that indicated he was deep in thought.
“I-I’m -uh- trying to.. figure out if this is a dream or not,” Chan said softly.
Younghyun chuckled before moving to pinch his arm gently, Chan jumped at the feeling and Younghyun smiled, “Definitely not dreaming,” he said.
“Well that was my only idea, now I’m completely lost,” Chan said, sitting up slightly and looking between the two of you for an explanation.
“Right,” you said before sitting down on his other side, “Younghyun and I think you’re pretty cute and we would like to offer you the opportunity to sleep with one or both of us, if you want to that is,” you explained.
“Okay I know I just got pinched but I have to be dreaming,” Chan said.
“I can’t tell if that’s a positive reaction or not,” Younghyun said, drawing Chan’s attention off of you.
“No, it’s positive, I just...” Chan started before pausing to collect his thoughts, “I’ve had a crush on you both for like so long,” he continued, somehow gathering the bravery to confess.
“Oh god wait that’s so cute,” you said softly, a smile spreading across your face.
“If we had known we would’ve done this earlier,” Younghyun added.
“In my defense, confessing that I have a crush on two people who are dating each other isn’t exactly something that people do,” Chan said, earning another chuckle from Younghyun.
“Well, now that we’ve got that out in the open, there’s only one more question,” Younghyun said. Chan tilted his head in confusion, a small gasp leaving his lips as Younghyun leaned in so their lips were close to touching, “Do you want to do something about it?” he asked lowly.
“P-Please,” Chan said, his voice wavering slightly as he stayed completely still. After what felt like forever for Chan, Younghyun leaned in further, closing the distance between them and pressing their lips together. Chan let out a muffled whine, his lips parting slightly and Younghyun takes the opportunity to slip his tongue into the other boys mouth. Chan brought a hand up to grip Younghyun’s shirt tightly as he let the older boy control the kiss. Finally Younghyun pulled away, he still seemed perfectly put together while Chan gasped for breath, his pupils blown wide and his mind fuzzy.
“My turn,” you said, reaching up to grip Chan’s chin and turn his head towards you. He let out a surprised squeak as your lips made contact with his. You maintained the same bold precedent that Younghyun had set, kissing Chan until he was dizzy before pulling away, feeling more put together than Chan seemed.
“W-What are we gonna do?” Chan asked, his voice soft and squeaky.
“What would you like to do?” you asked.
“Yeah,” Younghyun continued for you, “You’ve had a crush on us, I’m sure you’ve had a few fantasies floating around in that head of yours. Share your favorite, maybe we can make it happen.”
Chan’s cheeks turned pink and Younghyun chuckled, “I see I was right, spill,” he encouraged.
Chan took a deep breath, “Well I, uhm, I’ve thought about uhm, you,” Chan looked at Younghyun, “Yknow, uh, fucking me,” he said, whispering the dreaded word like it would somehow make him less embarrassed to say it out loud. “And uh, you,” he continued, turning to look at you now, “Letting me uh, yknow, fuck you,” again whispering the important word though it didn’t help the first time.
You smiled, “Yknow you’re cute when you’re embarrassed,” you said softly, bringing a hand up to cup Chan’s cheek as Younghyun stood up suddenly surprising both of you.
“I know the owners of this house are freaks there’s gotta be some lube in here,” he said as he began to search the room. “You two get started I’ll join in once I find lube,” he said, sending a wink your way which you responded to with a smile.
You turned back to Chan, your hands moving to grab the bottom of his shirt, “You heard the man, let’s get started,” you said with a smile. You tugged gently on his shirt and he was quick to raise his arms up, making it easy for you to tug the fabric over his head and toss it to the ground. “Very nice,” you hummed, bringing your hands to his chest and using your fingers to gently trace the contours of his muscles.
“T-Thanks,” Chan responded, his cheeks still pink and turning a deeper shade with every second you spent admiring him. You let him suffer with the embarrassment for a few more moments before grabbing your own shirt and tugging it off over your head, letting it join Chan’s on the floor. You giggled when Chan’s eyes went wide at the sight of your bra before he looked up, desperately trying to look anywhere except at your chest.
“Yknow they’re nice to look at but even more fun to touch,” Younghyun said, clearly still keeping an eye on what you were doing though he was searching through drawers.
“Come on Channie, you can touch, it’s okay,” you said, grabbing his hand after a few moments when he didn’t seem like he was gonna make the first move. You guided his hand to your chest and let it come to rest on one of your boobs. He gave it a few gentle, experimental squeezes before beginning to get comfortable with what he was doing and starting to massage you slowly. You smiled before grabbing his wrist gently, stopping him momentarily and allowing you to reach behind your back and unclasp your bra, slipping it off and tossing it to the ground.
“Ah ha!! Found it,” Younghyun shouted, startling Chan out of the dazed state he was in from staring at your boobs. Younghyun approached the bed, a bottle of lube held triumphantly in his hands, “Told you guys they were freaks,” he said. He tossed the bottle on the bed before tugging his shirt off, “I guess it’s not fair to be the only one with my shirt on,” he said as he tossed it into the steadily growing pile. Chan gulped at the sight of the lube and Younghyun looked at him with concern on his face, “You okay, Channie?” he asked.
“Yeah I uhm, I just haven’t uh,” Chan trailed off, gesturing towards the lube.
“You’ve never been fucked?” Younghyun asked, sitting down next to Chan and putting a gentle hand on the younger boys thigh, “You don’t have to if you don’t want to, you can fuck me I make a fantastic power bottom.”
Chan took a deep breath, “No I want this, I want you,” he said, putting as much confidence into his voice as he could, “Just, uh, take it slow.”
“Of course, Channie, we’ll take care of you, if you need us to stop or slow down just say so,” Younghyun said comfortingly.
“Thank you,” Chan said, giving a soft smile to Younghyun.
Younghyun returned Chan’s smile with one of his own before patting his thigh, “Now, I think in order for things to continue, we’re gonna have to make a new rule in here,” he said.
You cocked an eyebrow at him, “And what might that rule be?” you asked.
“No more pants,” Younghyun said with a smile and you laughed.
“That’s fair,” you said, “Chan first,” you smirked at the younger before reaching down to unbutton his pants. Chan took a second to comprehend what you were doing before he stood up, allowing you to tug his pants to the ground which he then, less than gracefully stepped out of before sitting back down. He crossed his arms over his lap, doing best to cover up his hard on that was very obvious now that he was just in his underwear.
“It’s so cute how shy you are,” Younghyun cooed, trailing his fingers across Chans inner thigh.
“‘M not shy,” Chan mumbled, a slight pout on his face.
“You’re like a cute, shy little puppy,” you cooed, reaching up to card your fingers through Chan’s hair. Chan bit back a smile as he pushed his head into your hand, “What? Do you like being called Puppy?” you asked.
Chan bit his lip and looked down, unable to make eye contact as he nodded quickly. “Jesus Christ you’re gonna kill me that’s so fucking cute,” Younghyun said, moving his hand up Chan’s thigh and nudging the younger boys hands aside so he could palm Chan’s erection. “Such a cute, needy puppy,” Younghyun cooed as he stroked Chan achingly slow through his underwear.
You watched the two of them for a second before wiggling out of your pants and underwear at once, tossing them into the pile before moving to the middle of the bed and sitting up against the headboard. You spread your legs apart and patted the mattress between them, “C’mere Puppy, lets put that mouth to good use so Younghyun can prep you,” you said.
Chan looked back and forth between you and Younghyun, trying to decide whether to listen to you or stick with the pleasure Younghyun was giving him no matter how slight it was. “Go on, Pup, do as you’re told,” Younghyun said, “But first, lose these,” he snapped the waistband of Chan’s underwear for emphasis. Chan hopped up, tugging his underwear off so quick he almost tripped on his way back to the mattress. He kneeled down between your legs, sitting back on his heels and waiting patiently for your next instruction.
“Such a well behaved puppy,” you cooed. You reached forward, tangling your fingers into his hair and guiding his head down between your legs. You held him still when he was close enough for you to feel his breath fanning across your skin. He was eyeing you hungrily, his mouth just short of watering as he waited for you to let him go. “You should be thanking me for even letting you this close,” you said.
“Thank you,” Chan gasped quickly, his eyes still trained on your pussy.
“Good boy,” you cooed before finally loosening your grip on his hair. He pushed forward, eagerly licking a stripe up your folds and you let out a contented sigh as Chan swirled his tongue around your clit. You could tell he was a bit inexperienced but he made up for it with eagerness, trying his hardest to please you with his tongue.
While Chan was focused on you, Younghyun had stripped himself of his own pants and underwear and began to position himself behind Chan. He placed a gentle hand on Chan’s ass, slightly startling the boy but not deterring him from his focus on you. Younghyun began to massage Chan’s ass, spreading his cheeks gently with both hands and using one of his thumbs to trace Chan’s hole. Chan squirmed slightly at the unfamiliar sensation and pulled away from you slightly just to take a deep breath and relax himself before continuing.
Younghyun grabbed the bottle of lube and opened it up, drizzling some over his fingers and spreading it around before bringing them up to Chan’s hole. He put his clean hand on Chan’s ass, using his thumb to rub soothingly at his skin, “You ready, Pup?” he asked.
Chan pulled away from you again, “As ready as I could be,” he responded. Younghyun nodded, teasing Chan’s hole for a couple more seconds before slowly pressing his finger inside the younger boy. Chan pressed his cheek to your inner thigh, his face scrunching up as he tried to adjust to the intrusion. Younghyun held still for a moment, waiting until he felt Chan relax before he began to move his finger, letting the boy completely adjust to the feeling before slipping another finger into him.
You carded your fingers through Chan’s hair, trying to help him relax as Younghyun prepped him thoroughly. Younghyun moved slowly, trying to bring Chan as little discomfort as possible. When he was able to slip a third finger into Chan he began to curl his fingers, feeling around for the bundle of nerves that would send Chan reeling.
“Oh shit!” Chan cried out, his body jolting forward when Younghyun finally found it.
“There it is,” Younghyun said, sending a triumphant smile your way.
Now that you were sure Chan was enjoying himself you tightened your grip in his hair, “Back to me, Pup,” you said. Chan dove back in eagerly, dragging his tongue between your folds and around your clit, letting out an occasional moan as Younghyun fingered him. The vibrations from the little noises Chan was making were sending waves of pleasure up your spine.
Chan pulled away from you just enough to speak, “More, please, I need more,” he begged.
“Aw,” Younghyun cooed, “Want me to fill you up, Pup?”
“Yes, please, I just need-” Chan rambled, his voice shaky from how desperate he was.
“Okay, let’s move things around so we can make your dreams come true,” Younghyun said as he pulled his fingers out of Chan, drawing a small whine from the younger boy.
You sat up and moved over to the side before patting the mattress where you were laying, “C’mere, Pup, lay down,” you instructed. Chan was quick to react, settling into the position you wanted and allowing you to tuck a pillow under his hips while Younghyun got up to search through the pockets of his pants.
Younghyun smiled triumphantly as he pulled two condoms out of his pocket and held them up for the two of you to see, “I always come prepared,” he said as he tossed one to you.
You caught it easily, “Horndog,” you muttered as you tore open the foil.
“Hey, you love how horny i am,” Younghyun said as he opened up the condom he still had in his hands and tossed the foil onto the pile of clothes.
You chuckled, “I guess you’re alright,” you said, opting to place your trash on the table next to the bed.
“Guys,” Chan whined, “Your flirting is so cute but I’m so hard I think I might die,” he pouted as the two of you turned your attention back to him.
“You’re right, Pup, you need attention,” you cooed, reaching forward to wrap your hand around his dick, running your thumb over the slit and collecting the precum that was there. You used it to help the glide as you stroked him slowly, relishing in the way he gasped and moaned from the first contact to his dick all night. You let him enjoy it for a few moments before slipping the condom onto his dick, “You ready, Pup?” you asked.
“I’ve never been more ready for anything in my life,” Chan whined as Younghyun positioned himself between the younger boys legs. As Younghyun got into position you swung your leg across Chans waist and moved so you were straddling him. You reached down and wrapped a hand around his dick to line it up with your entrance. You teased him for a few seconds, dragging his dick up and down between your folds and waiting until he started to squirm. “Ah- please,” he begged, looking up at you with puppy dog eyes, his hands gripped the sheets at his sides tightly as he tried to keep himself from bucking up into you.
Finally, you decided to have mercy, letting out a low moan as you sank down on his dick, keeping your pace slow as you settled down in his lap. You stayed still, letting yourself adjust to his size before beginning to grind down, rocking back and forth and enjoying the feeling of him filling you up.
“My turn,” Younghyun said and you stilled your movements, lifting yourself up slightly to allow Younghyun to push himself forward and line himself up with Chan’s entrance. “I’m gonna move slow, Pup, if you need me to stop just say so,” he said, being sure to make eye contact with Chan to make sure he understood. Chan nodded quickly, his hands gripping the sheets so tightly that his knuckles were white. You reached down and grabbed his hands, moving them to your hips before leaning down to kiss him deeply. You felt his grip on your hips tighten as Younghyun pushed into him, disconnecting the kiss to allow him to take a deep breath and relax. You brought a hand up to cup his cheek, rubbing your thumb soothingly across his skin to help keep him relaxed until Younghyun was pressed fully into him.
You sat back up, trying to help Chan adjust to the feeling of being filled by beginning to ride him slowly. “M-Move, please,” Chan gasped out after a few seconds.
“As you wish,” Younghyun responded, trying his best to sound put together but you could tell the feeling of being inside Chan was getting to him. He began to pull out slowly, making sure that Chan showed no signs of pain before pushing back in.
“More, please, more,” Chan begged, his grip on your hips was definitely tight enough to leave bruises as both you and Younghyun began to pick up the pace.  You felt Younghyun bring his hand up to your waist, trailing it slowly around to your front to press his fingers to your clit.
“So fucking tight,” Younghyun groaned, you could hear the slap of skin on skin contact as he snapped his hips roughly into the boy beneath you.
Chan was a mess, his moans were high pitched and cracking and his face was scrunched up, you could tell that he was struggling to hold off his orgasm. The combined sensations of you riding him and Younghyun fucking him were proving to be too much for him to handle. “You gonna cum for us, Pup?” you asked, trying your hardest to keep your voice steady though you were pretty worked up yourself.
“God, fuck, ah- can I?” he asked, barely managing to slip the words out between moans.
“Hold on just a little bit longer, Pup,” Younghyun gasped out, his hand beginning to work faster on your clit, trying to make up for the fact that his rhythm was falling apart as he got closer to the edge.
Chan whined in response, his body tensing as he tried desperately to hold back his orgasm. You focused on your own pleasure for a moment, trying to push yourself closer to the edge, not wanting to make him suffer much longer.
To your surprise, Younghyun was the first to cum, letting out a low groan as he released into the condom, his hips slowing down as his hand completely stopped before he pulled out of Chan slowly. You were quick to replace his fingers with your own, bouncing up and down in Chan’s lap quickly as you got closer to your orgasm. “Cum for me, Pup,” you gasped out once you were finally on the edge.
He was quick to comply, spilling his load into the condom with a loud cry. It only took a few more bounces before you were cumming too, clenching around him and causing him to whine from the slight overstimulation. Your hand slowed down on your clit, working yourself through your orgasm before slowing to a stop.
You lifted yourself off of Chan, moving to the side before pulling the condom off of his dick and tying it off, searching around for a trashcan for a second before just setting it on top of the wrapper on the table. “I need a nap,” Younghyun sighed, flopping down next to Chan after having already disposed of his condom.
“I don’t think I could walk out of here even if I wanted to,” Chan said, trying to catch his breath.
“Well we can’t stay here all night, this isn’t our house,” you reminded the boys.
“I say, we nap here for a little bit and then we carry Channie back to our place for round 2,” Younghyun said with a smile, putting an arm around the younger boy and tugging him closer.
“Round 2?” Chan asked, surprise evident in his voice.
You chuckled, giving in and laying down on the other side of Chan, “Well yeah, I hope you didn’t think this was a one time thing,” you said.
“That was fantastic, there’s no way I’m letting you go after this,” Younghyun said, snuggling up to Chan’s side and letting out a content sigh.
“S-So does that mean...?” Chan trailed off, his eyes flitting back and forth between the two of you.
“We can discuss the details after sleepyhead gets a nap,” you said nodding towards Younghyun who was somehow already asleep, “For now just enjoy the cuddles.” You mirrored Younghyun, snuggling up to Chan’s side and letting your eyes flutter closed.

Ways to Fall in Love Series
44. At an arcade
Genres: fluff, coworkers au
Pairing: Reader & YoungK (Day6)
Words: 1.8k
Note: I’m sorry this is so late and also not my best work :/ but hey this is one of my favourite tropes, and fun fact it’s actually inspired by an episode of “my classmate from far far away” which is a chinese drama I uhhhhh never finished watching lol
You don’t know Kang Younghyun all that well, but you’re definitely okay with learning more.
•••
You’d classify work like this.
At home, you spend an awful lot of time on your laptop. Like, maybe an unhealthy amount, just staring at a screen for hours.
Work is just like that. Except bad.
You’ve been reading the recent stats report for the past half an hour, at least, and either you’ve suddenly teleported to an alternate universe with a totally different number system, or you’re really, really tired. Honestly, you kind of wish it’s the universe one. If you were in an alternate universe, maybe an alien could come down and abduct you from your boring-as-hell desk job, then you could introduce MarioKart to the new alien race. Even aliens must like video games.
“Working hard, I see.”
You look away from your computer screen, eyes burning a little, to find Kang Younghyun standing in the open entrance of your cubicle, a cheeky smile on his face and two steaming mugs in hand.
“Coffee?”
He holds out one hot cup o’ joe for you to take, and you scrunch your nose with a regretful smile.
“Sorry... I don’t really... do coffee.”
Now, Younghyun would know that if the office was open-concept, but no, you’re all stuck in these personal hell-boxes called cubicles that don’t allow any interaction between coworkers other than the occasional overlapping break. And you say occasional very sparingly.
“Oh,” he says, awkwardly pulling the coffee back. His other hand moves to scratch the back of his neck, but he suddenly remembers the other mug in his hand when the coffee inside swishes and nearly spills out. He laughs, and you join him. “Sorry, I didn’t—”
“It’s okay.”
It’s his break, apparently, but he tells you there’s someone in the communal breakroom he can’t stand, so you invite him in. Anything that could help you with this statistics report. He leans over your shoulder from behind your chair, examining the spreadsheet when the last thing he should be doing during his break is more work. But with his help, you get it done and have good conversation along the way, so you aren’t complaining.
Once your work is done, you let out a sigh, leaning back in your chair. You look up at Younghyun with a thankful smile, but when you see his face, you realize something.
“Didn’t your break end, like—” you check your watch “—twenty minutes ago?”
He doesn’t respond, just looks at you with a tiny, almost unnoticeable smile. Weird.
“Younghyun?”
His eyes widen. “What— oh, wait, hold on... what are we talking about?”
You raise your eyebrows, laughing a bit at the way he shifts on his feet. “Your break? I think it’s over by now.”
“Oh shoot, you’re right!” He fumbles to grab the two empty mugs he brought (having drank both coffees) and rushes out of your cubicle before you can say anything else. You laugh softly again, turning back to your computer to email out your updated report, but your fingers barely graze the keyboard when he suddenly reappears. “Hey.”
“Yeah?”
He purses his lips together for a second, his fingers drumming against the empty coffee mugs. “Um... let’s hang out. After work. I know a place that might help you unwind.”
He runs off before you can ask where.
“I must say, I did not expect this.”
The entire arcade sports a blue and red theme — very much an homage to the classic red vs blue video game trope. You can hear the delighted screams of children and the competitive grunts of over-serious teenagers from just about every direction. Standing there next to Younghyun in your business clothes (though Younghyun has removed his tie) you feel tremendously out of place.
Younghyun chuckles a bit at your reaction, his hands stuffed casually in his slacks’ pockets. “What were you expecting then?”
“I don’t know,” you muse as a little boy runs past, “maybe a place where they don’t serve minors?”
After joining you in laughing at your own joke, Younghyun clears his throat. “I mean, if you don’t like it...”
“Luckily,” you interrupt, “you happened to invite the second geekiest person in the office to an arcade.”
He furrows his brow. “Second? Who’s the first?”
Resisting the urge to roll your eyes, you smile. “Who do you think brought me here, you geek.” You grab the sleeve around his wrist, ready to dash. “C’mon, I wanna crush the Donkey Kong record.”
It starts with Donkey Kong, of course, and maybe you spend a bit too much time there refreshing your memory, but Younghyun doesn’t seem to mind. You both almost end up on the floor, bursting with laughter when you play a round with him at the joystick and you at the buttons. (You don’t make a great team.) Maybe you look crazy, two fully grown adults losing it over a retro arcade game, but you don’t care.
Later, he tries to show off his ‘shooting basketballs in a hoop that’s five feet away at most’ skill, and you hate to admit it, but you are kind of impressed. You yourself have never tried the game before, but he makes it seem fun. You’re crouching down, just about to slide in a token to play your own round when something wraps itself around your arm, effectively making you pause.
That “something” being a very small, very crying child.
The boy hides his red face in the sleeve of your shirt, his tiny hands fisting the fabric between his fingers as he sobs.
First, there’s the general panic. You gather the kid in your arms, cooing sweet nothings and asking if he’s alright or what’s wrong. Then there’s the confusion. You don’t know this kid — never seen him before in your life. Looking up at Younghyun, you form a silent question with your eyes, but he looks just as confused as you do.
You change your position from an awkward crouch to a more comfortable one on your knees, the boy’s face now tucked into your shoulder as you gently pat the back of his head. Babies like that right? Or is that dogs...
After a few minutes of soft shushes and light assurances, the boy calms down, his once wailing cries turning into silent, slow tears. You pull him back a little, just enough so you can see his face, but his hands tighten their grip on your shirt.
“Hey there,” you say, trying to keep your voice as light as possible. You brush his bangs out of his eyes. “What’s wrong?’
The boy says nothing, but his face scrunches up, and you’re scared he might start bawling again.
“No no no,” you rush. “I’m sorry, hey it’s okay. It’s okay.” Cupping his cheeks, you brush away his tears with your thumbs, mouth spewing whatever niceties come to mind.
You wouldn’t say you’re the best with kids.
Shooting a desperate look to Younghyun as a silent plea for help, your jaw drops when you see his eyes all squinted, his hand up to cover his grin — but not enough.
He’s laughing at you! The nerve! The audacity! The—
Just as you’re about to call Younghyun a very choice word, the boy mumbles something. Your attention returns to the boy in your arms, whose incoherent mumbling is a far cry from actual words. You think you get the gist — lost his guardian; scared; is a baby.
And it’s all good and well that you’ve got the gist, but really, you’re at a loss.
You scoop up the boy in your arms and stand, resting him on your hip in a way you hope is comfortable.
“Uh...” You look around for a parent or guardian or something, someone who would be way more panicked than you. After all, you may have just found a random kid, but someone else just lost one. No one appears in your search. The only person in the entire place that could help you is the teenager working the prize counter, but you’re not about to dump this kind of responsibility on some kid who probably doesn’t even make minimum wage.
Instead of helping you try to find a solution, Younghyun focuses on the boy whose face is once again tucked into the crook of your neck. While you steadily bounce him like you’ve seen mothers do on television, he attracts the boy’s attention with silly faces and weird hand gestures. Just standing there in the middle of an arcade, you hold a slowly calming-down boy in your arms.
Thank god for Younghyun, you suppose, else you’d probably spiral. You take back the whole “choice word” thing -- for now.
Watching as Younghyun coerces the kid into smiling and laughing (okay, maybe coercing is a bit of a harsh word,) you consider your options.
“Should we just wait here?” you whisper, though that makes no sense since the boy is closer to you than Younghyun is. No matter, the boy isn’t paying any attention to you anymore, not now that he’s playing with the stack of tickets Younghyun gave him.
“That’s probably our best option.”
Now, you’ve never really considered yourself a gushy kind of person, but... watching Younghyun fail miserably to win a claw machine toy for Jinwoo (whose name you only know because Younghyun actually had the brains to ask) while the kid sits atop his shoulders, his tiny hands clutching at Younghyun’s hair... it sort of makes you smile. And the smile hasn’t gone away.
You’ve basically just been watching the two play around for the last half hour, simply enjoying the sight of Younghyun toting Jinwoo around the arcade and playing various games, or even just holding him up high in the air while making horribly inaccurate airplane noises. It seems like Younghyun’s completely forgotten about you, though for some reason, you don’t really mind. Seeing him with Jinwoo is worthwhile, you think.
And another half hour later, when you’re waving goodbye to Jinwoo sitting in the arms of his hysterical older sister -- who had run up, scooped Jinwoo in her arms, and berated Jinwoo for wandering off until Younghyun stepped in to calm her down -- you turn your smile to Younghyun again, and he finally returns it.
“Sorry,” he says, nervously playing with his hands, “I just really like kids.”
“I could tell.”
There’s an awkward bit of silence, and since you know you ran out of tickets a while ago, you’re pretty sure the day has come to an end. Besides, you have to get home sometime for dinner.
“Well, I must say.” You put your hands on your hips and let out a loud breath through your nose. “This has definitely been the most interesting date I’ve ever had.”
“Date?!”
You meet Younghyun’s bewildered expression, laughing a bit at his shock.
“What? It wasn’t a date?”
“Well, I mean, I wanted to -- but then I -- and...” he fumbles over his words. You grin at his antics. With a short groan, he attempts to collect himself. “If you want it to be a date, then...”
“Then it was a date.” You stick out your hand to shake his, as if you’re making a business deal. Can’t be too serious, right? You’re you.
The joy on his face when he shakes your hand is barely veiled, and you can’t help but start laughing again.
“See you at work tomorrow, Younghyun.”
“Actually...”
You turn back to him.
“Would you like to grab something to eat?”

pet play with young k where he wants you to give him head while wearing cat ears
I am losing my mind!! Can you imagine being on all fours in front of him while he sits back in his chair,his pants and boxers would be sitting pretty around his ankles and he'd be slowly stroking himself to the sight of you,,you would be practically drooling watching him lazily work his hard on, all you'd want is to reach over and take him into your mouth but you'd know better than to break one of his rules,,so you'd sit there patiently,readjusting the cute cat ears that sat on your head,,you'd watch as your boyfriends eyes flickered up to them and then dropped down to the pink collar he had fastened around your neck,,he'd be watching as the bell on your collar started to jingle as you fidgeted,needing someway to distract yourself from the problem between your legs,,you'd hear  Younghyun laugh under his breath before telling you to come closer,,you'd make your way in between his legs and you'd be biting your lip as you looked down at his flushed cock,,he'd tease you a little,asking you if you had been good enough to be able to suck him off,,you'd be nodding up at him,cheeks feeling so hot as he smirked at you,,he'd finally give you the green light and you'd greedily take him into your mouth,bobbing your head and swiping your tongue over his sensitive spot,,you'd hear him hiss and it would only make you lower your head more till your nose was pressed against his lower stomach,,you'd look up at him with his cock down your throat,eyes blinking away the tears that began to form in the corners of your eyes,,you'd know all the waiting would have been worth it when he smoothed down your hair and told you what a good pet you were,,

day6 reaction — having a curvier significant other
You and your boyfriend’s relationship was built on trust and love. In fact your boyfriend loved nearly everything about you, and especially your body.
jae
Tumblr media
Not to be too cliché, but Jae loved you for your personality and not just for your looks. Those were definitely a plus though.
Even after dating for a while and seeing each other without clothes, Jae would freak every time he walked in on you in anything less than shorts and a tee shirt.
“Oh, my go- Sorry!” He squeaked out, covering his eyes and refusing to move.
“I’m just in my underwear” you laughed looking at the already blushing male. “And, you know, you’re my boyfriend”.
He cleared his throat, removing his hands to finally get a good look at you. Your usual overly confident boyfriend was suddenly nowhere to be found.
“You look... good”.
sungjin
Tumblr media
“Where are you going?” Sungjin asked, his tone unintentionally brash yet needy.
“The gym” You answered, though it sounded more like a question too.
“In that?” He continued, now standing from the couch to view your body at a different angle. You watched the way his dark eyes lingered over your exposed bust and down to your hips.
Looking down at your leggings and sports bra, a small smirk came too your lips.
“Jealous?” You asked. One simple word that set him off.
“Me?” He laughed dangerously, quickly shortening the distance between you two. “Why would I be jealous of something that’s all mine?”.
young k
Tumblr media
“Wow” your boyfriend whispered from the doorframe, but it was just loud enough to be audible to your own ears.
Whipping around to face him, a wide smile was already spread out on his lips.
“Hmm?” You hummed, curious of his actions.
“You are stunning” he answered shamelessly while running his hands along the fabric of your new dress that perfectly hugged your curves.
Rolling your eyes, but being unable to stop the blush from rising to the surface of your cheeks, you turned and attempted to ignore him.
“Oh, don’t mind me! I’ll just watch you finish getting ready” he spoke, completely unbothered, before hopping onto the bathroom counter.
wonpil
Tumblr media
You couldn’t help but notice the way your boyfriend’s eyes were fixed on you as you two sat together on the couch. Because one: he wasn’t paying attention to the movie in the least bit, and two: his breathing would hitch every time you moved. More specifically though, his eyes were fixed on your neck down.
“Wonpil” you whined, playfully hitting at his chest. “I’m literally wearing an oversized hoodie and sweatpants”.
His eyes widened at your confrontation with him and he couldn’t do anything but smile. “I think you always look great, no matter what you’re wearing”
You laughed, though simultaneously cringing at his words.
dowoon
Tumblr media
You thought it was sweet the way Dowoon would immediately just stop, stare, and smile at you every time he got a first glance at yourself. He wouldn’t ever say much about your body, but you could tell he noticed your curves.
His hands running along your sides as you laid in bed, Dowoon had believed you were asleep. To his horror, though, you slightly flinched at the touch and turned to face him.
“I was just-”
“I love you” you interrupted, his eyes widening even more in surprise.
“I love you too” he finally responded after a few seconds and soon his arms found themselves around your waist once again.

Tumblr media
~~~
As you headed out from the cold, arid interior of the garden centre, it took your eyes a few seconds to adjust to the sudden darkness.
The clouds had covered up the stars above, and the trees leading out of the sliding doors covered up a majority of the floor lights. You couldn’t really see where you had to go next.
But you had Younghyun.
As soon as you turned the corner, in the shadows, a hand brushed against yours, your fingers intertwining, and led you through the dark.
As the trees dispersed, you walked into a wider opening, with bunches and rows and gatherings of Christmas trees.  Some were small and stumpy, others elegant and tall. One or two looked to be built for refurbished cathedrals, with how tall and grand they were. A couple were dusted with white, and a few already decorated with fairy lights, but you couldn’t tell if they were up for sale or not.
Your boyfriend brought you up to his side, gently pulling you closer by the hand. Looking up, you found a gleaming smile, the one you’d fallen in love with from the start, even if it appeared the majority of the time when he was relentlessly teasing you.
“Well,” he began, “where do you want to start?”
You hummed, surveying the clusters of rich and pale green. Spotting a vague organisation of the trees—tallest on the left and smallest on the right—you pointed to the centre, seeing as they were the average sized trees and the tallest ones that could still fit in your apartment.
“How about those ones?”
“Classic, of course. I knew you’d go for them.”  He sent you a wink, something that never failed to make you a blushy, flustered mess.
“W-well, it doesn’t mean we’ll choose one of those ones…!” you countered weakly.
“Of course not,” he gave your fingers a squeeze, “but there’s only one way to find out. Come on.”
.
.
You’d looked at so many trees, you could barely distinguish one fir from the other.
None were really standing out to you, and though you wanted to find the perfect tree, the search was starting to bore you, and dampen your spirits.
Younghyun however was having a better time, though he was only really letting you lead the charge, agreeing or disagreeing with you at most.
The two of you reached the end of the aisles of trees, without a stroke of luck.
You let out a disappointed sigh before you could stop yourself.  You were enjoying time with your handsome, ingenious and frankly damn perfect boyfriend, of course (you still had no idea why he chose you, it dumbfounded you every morning when you woke up to see his beautiful face, and every evening when you fell asleep in his arms, but he was still by your side nonetheless), and since he was so busy all the time, you took all the time you could possibly take to be with him.
But trawling through aisles and aisles of…  Trees…?
Looking at trees and only trees for a little over an hour, non-stop?
It just wasn’t your style.
You longed to go home and snuggle with your man instead—under three blankets at the very least, with a frankly enormous cup of warm tea, and a dumb film playing on the TV that the two of you could tear apart between fits of laughter.
He picked up on your sigh immediately, leaning his head in closer to your level. His focus was trained only on you at that moment as he whispered, “You ok, baby?”
“Huh?” you breathed. “Oh, yeah, I’m fine!” You pushed a smile on your face, though your eyelids seemed to sink more and more often, and it appeared he’d noticed that too.
The two of you stopped between a pair of pink trees, allowing him to lean in better, a hand gently resting on your shoulder. “Are you tired? Do you want to go home? We can come back another day, it’s not Christmas yet so there’s no need to rush.”
You met his gaze, bringing your hand up to his jaw to lightly run the pads of your fingers across the very thin stubble there. “I’m a little tired, yeah, but…” The thought of having to come back and do it all over again, spending another hour or so looking at trees that could be much better spent doing something else, didn’t exactly appeal to you. “We can keep going, for a bit.”
“Ten more minutes?” he suggested, a reassuring smile playing on his lips.
You nodded, rubbing your eyes, trying to coax a little bit more energy into them.
Planting a kiss on your cheek, he stroked the hair away from your face, and collected your hand in his as you continued to walk. He coaxed you back into a steady pace, not letting your hand go as he swung it playfully back and forth, offering you some of his energy.
You appreciated his attempts, tiredly giggling.  He was such a dork sometimes.
Turning the corner to have a look at the smaller trees, you played with his fingers.
It had always fascinated you how much broader his hands were than yours, how much more aged his fingertips were. They were rough, carved by the strings of his craft, all in the pursuit of having the world hear his song.  And yet they were so... delicate? Careful?  Gentle.
Yes, they had been the fingers that had tickled you until you barely knew what air was, and yes they were the ones that held your face as he stole kisses and then ran away before you could catch him.
But they were also the fingers that eased the knots from your hair, the fingers that dashed away crumbs from your shirt and muck from your face, they were the fingers that dried your tears when you wouldn’t dare sleep.
How one man’s fingers could do so much astounded you, and you held them between your own so simply.
His thumb caressed runes into the back of your hand, the next notes to his new song, or crude symbols of the thoughts in his own head, you didn’t know.  But you couldn’t deny how soothing it was.  Nor how quickly it was lulling you closer to sleep.
However, you didn’t need to worry about working up the courage to ask him to stop.
Glancing up from looking at your hands, your eyes caught sight of a wonderful specimen.
Your feet immediately stopped in their tracks, and Younghyun stopped just in time to not let his hand slip from yours. “Baby?”
You pulled him closer, and crouched down to the ground.
Confusedly, he joined you.
“Is there... a reason why…?”
You pointed with your empty hand into the slight shadow.
“Look!”
There, beneath one of the branches of a bigger tree, was a wicker pot. And in that wicker pot, was a tiny fir tree.
It was the smallest one in the centre, you were sure of it, and it was very nearly spherical at the bottom, with a tiny, spindly top.
“He chonkeh,” you sung.
Younghyun did a double take at you and the tiny, fat Christmas tree. “Yes… he’s very chonky.”
“He’s so fat and stumpy,” you whispered, “I love him…!”
Your boyfriend sighed, chuckling. “You want this one don’t you.”
You thought about it for a few seconds, but he already knew the answer.
“Pretty please…?”
He knew it was going to warrant laughter from his band mates. And that it wouldn’t match the rest of the living room.
“Anything for you,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to your hair before helping you pick up your Christmas tree.
.
.
The pair of you made your way to the till.
Younghyun had grumbled about having to let your hand go, but watching you grin delightedly with the tiny Christmas tree hugged to your chest as he fished out his wallet made his heart swell.
He must have saved an entire country in his past life to deserve you, with your kindness, and your sweet caring nature.
You were made for him, you got his humour, and teased him back, unafraid to call him out when he went too far.
You were his muse, undoubtedly. Every song he wrote that spoke of true love, or falling in love, or love at first sight, they were all written with you in his mind. Even the ones that inferred marriage, but he wasn’t going to tell you about that one yet.
He couldn’t wait to get home and cuddle under several blankets, with a mug of tea and an awful movie playing, laughing with you until you fell asleep in his arms.
That, and eventually decorate the stumpy tree you found with you.
AN: Yah this was so hard to write for some reason.
Truth or Dare
Genre: Friends to Lovers!AU; Drabble
Member: Young K (Day6)
Word Count: 706
A/N: I imagined this with someone completely different (like someone I know irl) in mind and I just had to put this out here. Just emptying my head out into the void because maybe speaking it into existance will help... Idk you guys, I think i’m in love.
You were standing on a balcony watching the sunset, a cool breeze wafting through your hair. You were up high enough to see a good chunk of the city and its night lights, the growing darkness making them appear more and more like man-made stars. You thought back on your day with your best friend and it made you smile.
“Let’s play a game,” you heard an oh-so familiar voice say behind you. Turning around, you saw Young K rubbing the last bit of sleep from his eyes. His tousled hair from his nap on your couch made you grin with amusement.
“What game did you have in mind?” you asked as he took his place next to you on the balcony.
“Truth or dare,” he grinned, leaning his arms on the ledge.
“Ok,” you smiled in return. “You first.”
“Truth or dare?” he asked.
“Truth,” you answered quickly.
“Do you think there will come a time where we’ll have to go our separate ways and.. forget about each other?” Young K asked quietly.
You stared at him for a second, locking gazes with each other, before replying. “No,” you started, shaking your head. “Even if our lives were heading in different directions, I’d want you to be my constant. I think we’d find time for each other. I honestly couldn’t imagine a life without you.”
He dropped his gaze and smiled at the ground. “Yeah,” he said. “I couldn’t imagine life without you either.”
“Truth or dare?” you asked.
Young K turned to stare at the city. “Truth,” he replied.
“Where do you go when you want to be alone? Your secret, special place that you haven’t shown anyone, not even me?” you asked.
He gave a quick chuckle and dropped his head before answering. “Believe it or not, it’s in a garden. In one of the city’s parks. If you go past some of the thicker copses of trees, there’s a field with an old gazebo and some overgrown topiaries. It’s nice and peaceful and I can be alone with my thoughts.”
“Will you take me there sometime?” you asked without thinking. Young K looked at you in surprise and you quickly scrambled for words. “It’s just... we’ve known each other for so long and yet I feel like I don’t know the real you. The you that you don’t want to show, that you only let out when you’re alone. The person you probably don’t realize exists.”
Young K reflected upon your words for a while, a small smile forming on his face. After a while he nodded and said, “Sure, I’ll share that place with you. But only if you show me the real you as well.”
You gave a small chuckle and replied, “Deal.”
The two of you stood in silence for a while, taking in the faint sounds of the busy streets deep into the city. You felt warm and at ease in his presence, as you always had, the silence between you never feeling awkward.
“Truth or dare,” Young K spoke up, breaking the silence.
You thought about it for a moment before you gave him a cheeky smile, “Dare.”
Young K bit his lip and turned to you. “Kiss me,” he said, his cheeks turning a slight shade of pink.
Your eyes widened in shock and your cheeks mimicked his shade. Your heart began to race as you leaned towards him, his hand cupping your cheek right before your lips touched. Your hand searched for his free hand and laced fingers with him as you deepened the kiss. It was warm and sweet, giving you butterflies in your stomach and leaving you feeling breathless after you parted. Young K laid his forehead down on yours as you both caught your breaths, one hand squeezing yours while the other played with a strand of your hair.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time,” he whispered his confession to you.
You looked up at him, gazing deep into his eyes. “What else have you been wanting to do?” you asked breathlessly. His lips curled into a smirk before leading you back inside and turning off the balcony light, one less star burning in the city’s nightly cosmos.
Peripeteia
Loving him secretly was so hard, but you are afraid to take the risk. You're afraid that you might lose your friendship, so you kept it by yourself. What if we won't work? What if he doesn't love me the way I love him. There just so many what ifs that was running in your minf and you don't know, you were so scared.
You were so afraid that you might lose him, you might lose your bestfriend, that your friendship might be ruined. You've been in love with him for a long time now. You couldn't remember when and how did it start, all of a sudden your heart was beating erratically whenever you're with him. Your heart flutters when he compliments you and whenever you see him laugh and smile. You even felt things that you thought that it was just in movies or books that you watched and read.
There are times that you thought of telling him what you feel but you were such a coward. You'vee been so coward since you don't know when. Maybe being in a broken family had left a deep and big scar that affects you and thought that there a chance that would happen to you too. You know, the saying 'history repeats itself', that what if you would end up like that.
But someone told you that love is always about risking. You would never know if you won't take the risk. If the person is worth it, you would take the risk even if there's no assurance the he would reciprocate it. That made you realize things and had a bit of courage to tell him. No, you gathered all your courage, pluck up your heart, or whatever you call it.
You grabbed you phone trying to message him to meet me up. You even don't know how should you ask him like it was new to you asking him out, when it was normal for both of you to messaged each other to bond. You've been typing for how minutes that day before you received a message from him, saying "Hey Amara, you've been typing for how many minutes now. Are you ranting something, tell me everthing later, okay? Cause I'm on my way to your condo, I brought your favorite." he really knows when you need someone, more likely when you wanna see him but before you forgot, you replied immediately saying "Hahaha you really know me so well. Take care!"
When he arrived, he sat down on the couch while putting your favorite ice cream on the center table. You saw him smiling, his smile was different, so bright like he won a jackpot or something. You went to the kitchen to get a spoon while reminding yourself that this would be the day, the day that you will confessed your feelings.
You went back to the living room, gave him the spoon and you both started eating the ice cream that he got for you. You remember his smile, that was kinda different, you felt that he was so happy so you asked why. "Remember the girl that I like?" he asked and you nodded. "She already said yes to me!" he was so happy and your world got crashed.
This was the first time you saw Brian smiling like this, you wanted to be happy for him too but you can't, your heart was shattered in to pieces, you wanna cry, you were teary eyed without you realizing it, he suddenly ask you why you are about to cry, you just told him that you were so happy for him. All the courage that you gathered suddenly got lost in just a snap, even your voice, you can't even speak but you forced yourself, you pulled up your shits and pretend that those tears were just a tears of joy. "Glad, you found the one Bri! I'm so happy for you! You deserve to be happy and she's so unlucky huh." you jokingly said.
You were reminiscing that day, now you are seeing your bestfriend teary eyed while at the front of the altar waiting for his bride.
You remembered something before this day came. He told you he loved you but he didn't take the risk because your friendship was more important than taking the risk without any assurance. He was thanking you for everything and that he would be always be here for you and his wife when you need any help. He just got married but nothing will ever changed he will always be your bestfriend, he assured you.
Life is so unfair, if one of you took the risk or made a move would this happen? You asked yourself but it was too late. Regretting and thinking of what ifs wouldn't make any change anyways. You have to move forward, and moving on will be your next move.
—end.
Parker made her way into the hallway, nervously tugging on the hem of her new favorite hoodie. It was tan with bear print, a gift from Younghyun.
As she entered she found everyone in the living room with snacks and a stack of board games. It was game night and Parker had been excited to get to pay with everyone, but now she had a dilemma.
She had just woken up from a nap and she wished that she hadn’t. (She should have never taken that nap.)
“Hey, Soojin,” the leader greeted, then stilled. He looked back at the maknae and Parker knew that his ‘Parker Senses’ were going off.
“Hey, Oppa,” Parker smiled, shuffling her way over to sit next to Wonpil and Dowoon.
“Soo? Everything okay?” Sungjin asked, eyeing the girl. To this, everyone looked over to Parker.
“What?” Younghyun asked, giving Parker a once over.
“Everything’s fine guys. Chill,” Parker chuckled, somewhat nervously.
“Bullshit,” Jae quirked an brow at her.
“Soojin,” Sungjin started and watched as Parker, tugged her hood down over her eyes a bit more. “Can you take your hood off please?”
Parker dropped her hands onto her lap, playing with a loose string on her shorts. She chanced a glance up at the leader and found him raising a brow at her, arms crossed over his chest.
“Sure,” Parker answered, clearing her throat as her voice cracked. She slowly reached up and pulled her hood off. Once off, she looked up at the leader and smiled.
“And the hat?” Jae asked, catching onto what the leader was getting at.
Parker’s eyes darted from each of the two oldest then took a deep breath letting it out. “Okay, before you say anything. It was an accident and it’s a simple fix.”
“Soojin-ah, what did you do?” Dowoon asked from her left.
Parker chewed on her lip, figuring out the best way to word her problem. “So, I took a nap,” she started off.
“Yes?” Jae asked impatiently.
Parker glared. “I’m getting there.”
“Hyung, let her finish,” Sungjin said, then turned back to Parker, motioning for her to continue.
“So I took a nap,” she repeated, sending a glare at Jae, daring him to speak again, “I hadn’t planned to fall asleep. I was chewing gum right before I fell asleep. And I-” Parker cut herself off as she pulled off her beanie.
“Oh, Soojin,” Sungjin sighed. Jae snorted from next to him and Parker could tell that the others were trying to hold in their own laughs.
When Parker had woken up, she realized that the gum that she had been chewing on had fallen out and was stuck to the front of her hair. She had quickly tried pulling it off, but it was stuck and collecting more and more hair. In a panic, she grabbed a pair of scissors and cut.
It hadn’t set in until she saw herself in the mirror with an uneven cut. She looked like those anime characters with the slanted bangs. Parker almost screamed.
“Why did you-” Dowoon coughed, masking a laugh. Parker turned to him, scowling. “Why did you think that you could solve your problem on your own?”
“It was gonna have to get cut anyways, whether by me or one of you guys. It’s too late at night to go to someone to fix it, and I couldn’t very well sleep with gum in my hair,” Parker said, rolling her eyes.
“So naturally, cutting it off yourself was the answer,” Wonpil smirked.
“Naturally,” Parker shrugged.
“You’re gonna have heavy bangs, with how much you cut off,” Younghyun said, as he ran his fingers through the uneven strands.
“It’s okay. I’ve had bangs before. I look decent in them,” Parker shook her head, putting her beanie back on then her hood.
Sungjin chuckled, shaking his head. “Never a dull moment with you, huh?” he asked her, and Parker grinned at him.
“That’s why you keep me around,” she winked.
“I’m gonna need a picture as proof to show Myday,” Jae laughed, pulling out his phone.
“Nope,” Parker shook her head, folding her arms over her chest.
“Yes. With all the meme pictures you have of us that you post online, it’s only fair,” Jae nodded.
“He has a point,” Dowoon agreed.
Parker turned to him. “Traitor,” she hissed, then squawked as the drummer pulled both the hood and beanie off. The shutter of the camera sounded, and Parker whipped her head towards the oldest. Another shutter.
“Oppa,” Parker whined, turning to Sungjin with a pout. The leader ignored the girl in favor of reading the rules to one of the games.
“Parker, Myday are having a field day!” Jae cackled, looking at all the comments on the pictures he uploaded.
“I hate it here,” Parker pouted, throwing herself back onto the ground, pulling the hood back up.
A/N: I WAS going through a tough time wanted to write angst but got stuck but finally got another idea so HERE I AM
Word count: 422
Tumblr media
You did wrong.
“How could you do this?” Younghyun yelled and swung his arms around the room as he paced it, you sat silently on the couch as he vented. “What makes you think this was a good idea? What in the world were you thinking when all of this was happening?” Younghyun’s voice was rising with every word, now making you flinch when he turned towards you.
“I’m sorry” You whispered
“You’re sorry? You’re sorry?!” Younghyun was now as loud as he could be and you sunk lower into the chair “Younghyun, please” You whispered again, hands starting to shake and worried the neighbors were going to complain about the noise and may even call the police. “What? What do you want now?!” He burst and you flinched again as he almost hit you when he flung his arms again. When he noticed he almost hit you, he took a step back and ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the strands hard.
"Younghyun, you're scaring me," You said, voice breaking as tears started to stream down your face. He sighed heavily and sat in the armchair not far from you and bounced his leg quickly, he ran a hand down his face, pulling his facial features and squeezing his eyes shut. "Why?" Younghyun asked, voice at a normal volume, eyes still closed before he snaps them open and meets your eyes "Why?" Younghyun repeated himself, louder now as he was winding up for his second round. “Am I not enough for you? Did you have that much of an urge from something more that you couldn’t ask me?” Younghyun said with his voice loud still but also sounding like he was crying, you glanced up and saw that he was crying which made hang your head down again cause it hurt your heart too much to see him cry. “Are you happy now?” He almost whispers and leaves the room without another word and you hear him shut the bedroom door with a small click behind him.
You broke down into sobs, folding over yourself and bawling into your hands as Younghyun sat on the edge of your shared bed and cried to himself as quietly as he could, harshly wiping the tears away when they traveled too far down his cheeks. After about 20 minutes that felt like 2 hours, Younghyun came out of the room and walked into the kitchen, getting himself a glass of water and taking a drink before sighing and looking at you “I think we should break up” He said
can i request hard dom demon chris and brian, with choking and degradation? thank you, in advance!!
The urge to just keep writing and writing and writing was just so strong but im trying to get everything on my list finished so i had to hold myself back and make this drabble length but maybe one day in the future there will be more demon chan and brian
You gasped as Chan placed his hand on your throat, his eyes flashing black as he began to squeeze gently. Your twinge of fear at his actions quickly turned to arousal as you felt Younghyun’s fingers trailing up your inner thigh. “You’re gonna be our good little whore tonight, right?” Chan asked, the low rumble of his voice sending a shiver down your spine. You nodded quickly, your mouth hanging open as Chan slowly cut off your air supply. You managed to get out a squeak as Younghyun pressed two fingers into you, curling them immediately and hitting your g-spot expertly, making you squirm beneath Chan’s grip.
Chan loosened his grip, letting you gasp for air, clenching around Younghyun’s fingers as you caught your breath. You moaned as you felt Younghyun swirl his tongue around your clit, your toes curling as Chan applied just enough gentle pressure to your throat to make your breathing strained. “You sound so pretty like this,” he hummed, maintaining pressure on your throat as he shifted around until his dick was in your face, “But you’d sound so much prettier choking on my cock.”
He let go of your throat, moving his hands to your hair and barely giving you a moment to catch your breath before pushing his dick into your open mouth. You gagged as he began to set a ruthless pace, gripping your hair tightly as he fucked into your mouth. You squeezed your eyes shut, trying your best to adjust to the sensation of Chan pushing into your throat while Younghyun slipped a third finger into you. You couldn’t hold back the noises, your gagging and moaning sending vibrations to Chan’s dick.
You choked out a whine as you felt Younghyun pull away from you, the loss of his fingers making you feel empty as you clenched around nothing. Luckily, you weren’t empty for long as Younghyun was quick to line his dick up with your entrance. He pushed in quickly, making you choke around Chan’s dick and not giving you a moment to adjust before beginning to thrust into you quickly.
Chan pulled out of your mouth, watching the drool that had been collecting your mouth begin to drip down your chin. “Such a messy little slut,” he said, tapping his dick on your cheeks and wiping his precum mixed with your own saliva on your face.
“What a pretty toy,” Younghyun grunted as he continued to thrust into you, making you moan loudly.
“What’s wrong? Can’t even say thank you to us for using you like the toy you are?” Chan asked, reaching back down to grab your throat and squeeze, once again making it difficult for you to breathe.
You gasped, trying to collect yourself before gasping out a desperate, “Thank you.”
“Good girl,” Chan said before roughly thrusting back into your mouth, both boys grunting as they continued to use you.
Ways to Fall in Love Series
29. On a roof
Genres: romance, angst, office setting au, strangers to friends to lovers
Pairing: Reader and Younghyun/YoungK (Day6)
Words: 2.5k (00:10)
Note: HEAVY dialogue. And I mean heavy. Let’s call it my writing style. Dear anon, I personally like this story and the style it has, but I know this kind of style isn’t for everyone, sorry about that. [I hope you still enjoy it :)]
Two years ago, Kang Younghyun caught you smoking on the roof. You weren’t smoking, so you weren’t really caught, but it was on the roof and it was Kang Younghyun, and he was where the story really began.
•••
Two years ago
Your cheeks burned with pricks and pokes as cold air continued to berate your skin, yet you made no move to fix anything. The view of the city was always too beautiful to look away, and you certainly wouldn’t now, not when the sun was about to set.
All the new-age buildings glowed in reflection of the orange sunlight, and even your breath — which you could see furling up in such temperatures — captured the rays beautifully.
The sucker in your mouth, a childish little thing you’d snatched from someone’s cubicle, tasted of lemonade. Your lips, dry and cracked from the recent cold weather and lack of scheduled balming, took to the flavor badly, the sourness of the candy causing your split lips to temporarily shoot with an oddly endurable pain. You kept the sucker in your mouth so as not to have it touch your lips again.
“You can’t smoke up here.”
But you weren’t.
You turned to the voice, where a man stood just in front of the roof’s entryway. He looked upset, though he had no reason to be – you had done nothing wrong.
Your breath fell out again as you opened your mouth to speak, the water vapour curling and furling in the cold. The candy was stored to your cheek by your tongue.
“Did you hear what I said?”
You did.
Perhaps this man had never seen a cigarette in his life, as the thin paper stick slowly disintegrating in your mouth looked nothing like one. You scoffed at his ignorant dismissal of you when he had no idea who you were and you the same of him. Assumptions had made a fool out of greater ones before him, and would continue to long after.
You didn’t bother trying to answer him a second time. If he wasn’t going to listen in the first place, why would you deign him a response anyways?
“I said, you can’t smoke up here.”
Persistent, he was.
You jumped down from the viewpoint you’d found months ago, hands leaving their refuge in your coat pockets to aid in your balance. The walk up to him took no time at all, and soon you were directly in front of him, blocking his view of the sunset.
His cheeks were red in the wind, his clothes not nearly warm enough for the weather. You recognized him from somewhere, perhaps he worked on your floor. Kang, you thought his name was, though you couldn’t be certain.
He seemed about to stutter something else – perhaps about not wanting to catch your supposed second-hand smoke.
You popped the sucker out with a sharp tug, putting emphasis on the sound and extra care into not cringing at the sour flavour meeting your chapped lips. Feigning the exhalation of tobacco, you let more warm breath pour out.
His eyes widened. He said nothing.
Slowly, you stepped around him, going faster when he tried to hide his back. You snatched the small cardboard box from his hands with quick fingers
The thing with cigarette boxes is that they always have warnings.
Smoking while pregnant can cause serious impediment.
Smoking is known to cause lung cancer.
Do not smoke if it could affect your health.
Nice little things like that.
“You can’t smoke up here.”
One year, nine months ago
“I don’t smoke.”
The sun no longer set while you were still at work, yet the view was still alluring enough for you to return day after day. You turned at the sound his voice again.
What a strange thing to have said.
“Sure.”
“I really don’t.”
Your gaze returned to the horizon, where you were watching the skyline. You didn’t know who he was trying to convince. Someone below honked their car horn, and your eyes trained to the disruption.
He came up to stand beside you at the edge, gaze on you before it shifted to look down.
“I kept thinking that I was going to start… That day was the closest I ever got.”
You’d never heard of someone struggling to start smoking. It was always the struggle to stop – the battle, as people called it.
“Why are you telling me this?”
His hands were in his pants pockets, clothes still too little for rooftop wind. He didn’t shiver.
“I just… wanted you to know.”
Your eyebrows raised without meaning to. A silent question suspended itself between him and you. Why?
“I… thought you might have a bad opinion of me.”
The truth was you had no opinion of him. It was a single day, three months ago when you’d spoken with Kang Younghyun for the first time, one that you easily forgot. People assumed things. People smoked. It was just life. That day was entirely insignificant to you at that point, not important enough for you to remember his small mistake or the idea that he may or may not have smoked once you went back to work.
You propped your arms on the concrete barrier between you and a twenty-four story drop, turning your head to finally look at him for longer than a moment.
“And why should my opinion matter?” you said. “I’m nothing but a stranger, a coworker at most. The only opinion you should care about is your own.”
A pause.
“What do you think about smoking?”
His answer came as no surprise to you. It was quite the easy situation to read.
“It’s bad, I suppose.”
“Then you have your own opinion. No need for mine.”
One year, eight months ago
“You keep invading my secret spot, Kang Younghyun.”
Your eyes didn’t leave the horizon, yet you knew he was standing there, next to you.
“It’s not secret,” he said.
“Not anymore.”
The silence between you stretched on, comfortable in its simplicity. You were used to the silence that wasn’t silence (as the noise of the world around you kept on) from the months you’d already spent on that roof alone.
He didn’t appreciate the silence like you did. “…It’s a beautiful spot.”
It was.
“It is.”
“Do you think,” he paused for a moment, looking to the ledge and you and the horizon, “it’d be a good place to propose?”
Another strange question, but by now you were used to those from him.
“For me, it would be perfect. For anyone else… it’s all up to them.” You turned from the view and leaned your back against the railing, elbows propped up on your sides. “Why? Are you planning on proposing to someone in my secret spot?”
“Maybe.”
“Well, forget about it. This is our secret spot now. You’re not allowed to show it to anyone else.”
Not that you could truly keep the place to yourself, it was simply that no one but you ever really stayed there. After all, there was no smoking allowed.
“Would you stop me?” he asked, “If I did?”
“I wouldn’t have to. You’ve promised.”
“No I haven’t…?”
“Of course you have.”
One year, one month ago
You were in a precarious position, standing up above the entrance to the door – having climbed up in the most awkward way possible – with a basket of rose petals cradled in your arm, the other hand poised and ready to shower the petals on cue. But the cue never came.
Well, it did, but only one person came through the door when you were waiting for two.
“Where is she?”
“A break…” he mumbled, but you could barely hear it. He was so quiet you thought you’d misunderstood.
“What?”
“She said… we should take a break.”
You’d never experienced something like that before, the whole idea ran past your mind as you tried to comprehend it, but you just couldn’t. Younghyun was about to propose, and that was a big deal to him, you knew that. It had taken months for him to convince himself to just do it, asking you for advice along the way. And now…
“…And? What did you say?”
“Okay…”
“You…?”
“I said okay!” he exploded, “I’m an idiot!”
He hid his head in his hands, no tears falling even though there should have been.
“Why would you say that of all things? Aren’t you in love with her?”
A definitive answer. One more sure than sure. “Yes.”
“Then why?”
“I don’t… I don’t know.”
You looked at the petals in the basket, useless now without someone to drop them on. They’d seemed beautiful only minutes ago, yet as you ran your fingertips over the soft velvety flowers, you couldn’t help but see the red color as an omen. You had nothing more to say.
“I don’t know.”
One year ago
“You seem to be coping well.”
It had been a while since you and Younghyun had run into each other on the rooftop. Ever since the proposal incident, you hadn’t had any chances to speak with him. He was there now, standing next to you at the railing like he always would, except his frown and dark circles were deeper than usual.
“Oh yeah?” he scoffed. “What gave it away? My dark circles? My chipper attitude?”
“I was trying to make you feel stronger.”
“It didn’t work.”
“I can see that.”
The longer Younghyun’s break went on, the more he seemed to appreciate silence. But you knew that wasn’t true. Unlike you, who harmonized with the silence, Younghyun hid himself within it. He treated it as a wall, a fragile wall, but a wall nonetheless.
It wasn’t your job to get through his walls. It shouldn’t have been.
“Then… how are you coping?”
He said nothing, but he turned to look at you for a moment, an emotion you couldn’t identify twisting on his face. His hand went to the back pocket of his slacks, pulling out a yet unopened pack of cigarettes.
“Those won’t help.”
“I know.” He brought the box up to his face and turned it over in his hands as if reading the labels. “I still haven’t ever used one.”
“Then why do you have them?”
The breath he took was deep, and you wondered if you should’ve stopped talking.
“I don’t know. I guess I keep them as a reminder. I look at them and know that I’ve been through worse and will be in the future, but I’ve never turned this way yet. Every time I put them back in my pocket… I’m a little stronger than I was before.”
You looked down at your hands, playing with your fingers. “…That’s quite poetic.”
“I’ve had some time to think.”
Bracing your hands on the railing, you pushed back and swung around. You stuffed your hands in your pockets. “I suppose that’s one way,” you said, resigned. “You don’t need me then.”
When you moved to go, to leave him alone with his walls and his unopened cigarettes, his hand wrapped around your arm. Not hard — gentle, but enough to make you stop.
“No. Stay.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. It’s just better this way.”
This way?
“What way?”
He gave no answer. Though, there isn’t always a need for one.
“I don’t understand,” you muttered, looking down because you didn’t dare look at him, “I thought it was just a break?”
“I guess it wasn’t for her.”
The news had surprised you more than him, though he didn’t know it. You had honestly thought that two people so in love with each other could take a break and return to what they once were, and Younghyun had told you himself that he loved her.
“Are you okay?”
His head had been resting, defeated, on the metal railing, but your ignorant question made him jerk up to glare at you.
“No,” he seethed. “No, why in hell would I be okay?”
You stepped closer. “It’s not a real question, it’s an opener. I’m asking if you want me to comfort you.”
A moment passed where nothing happened, nothing except him turning to face you, one hand still gripping the rail, knuckles white. You had no idea what he was thinking about if not his recent heartbreak, but the look in his eyes, the ones that were studying yours so intently, told you it couldn’t have been that. He was thinking about you. But what, exactly, was the question.
“…That would be nice.”
Then he leaned in and his arm wrapped around your waist and you stumbled forward in surprise and your hands sandwiched between his chest and yours and his lips grazed yours and it was all too fast and you were almost too shocked for a second to hate it but you did. You hated it.
Pushing him off before he could complete whatever he’d planned to use you for, you took a deep breath and closed your eyes. As you opened them again, you did your best to not read into his desolated expression. You didn’t want any reason to stay.
“I’m sorry,” you gasped out — because you really were, “I’m sorry, but I can’t comfort you like that. I won’t.”
And you walked away.
“I’m sorry.”
“I know. You’ve told me already.”
“Then why won’t you look at me?”
You looked at him.
“Do you want me to?”
He looked away.
“I’m sorry.”
“I know.”
“I’m sorry.”
“I know. Thank you.”
“I want to try again,” he said, a finality to his voice that you hadn’t heard in a long time. There was a finality, yes, but also uncertainty. An uncertain conclusion.
Your gaze kept to the horizon, as it always was. “Try what again?”
“Kissing you.”
You tensed. Suddenly the wind felt stronger than before. “Younghyun…”
“But not now,” he cut you off. “Not now, because I made a mistake and I want to do it right. I want to make this right.”
“Younghyun, I—”
“And only if you want it. I made you uncomfortable before and I never want to again, but I have these… feelings, and— and I can’t seem to get rid of them and I know I messed up but…”
His words seemed to fail him, yet you said nothing. You wanted him to continue.
“But I want to fix this. I don’t know if I can… but if you’ll let me try…”
You looked at him.
“Can I get back to you?”
Today
“Do you remember, a year or two ago, when you said this would be a perfect proposal spot?”
“You’re remembering that? On purpose?”
Any memories associated with unfriendly exes, you thought people liked to forget.
“Shut up, I’m trying to be romantic.”
“Oh.” You shrugged. “It’s working?”
“Don’t sound so surefire.”
You laughed together. What a lovely sound.
“Well, are you going to propose? A little early, don’t you think?”
His smile could have blinded you, or perhaps could have been hung in the Louvre, in your opinion. But then you’d never get to see it, so maybe not. You’d rather keep Kang Younghyun to yourself.
“Someday. I’ll surprise you.”
“I’d like that.”
