Lewis Fic Recs: Let It Snow!
The weather ships them! Winter storms, snowball fights, ice skating, and huddling for warmth. As usual, this list is far from exhaustive, so please feel free to add your own favs to the list!
Free Programme by paperscribe
1,999 Words, James/Robbie, Robbie/Val, Rated T, No Archive Warnings Apply Happy memories of Val and Robbie watching Olympic ice skating, full of affectionate teasing and Val's casual acceptance of Robbie's tiny crush on one of the male skaters. Many years later, James puts his arm around Robbie's waist and guides him out onto the ice, and Robbie remembers a decades-old fantasy.
Olympic Interlude by Lindenharp
1,609 Words, James/Robbie, Rated M, No Archive Warnings Apply Established Relationship. James wakes up an irritable Robbie early one morning to watch Olympic curling. But as James becomes engrossed in the match his inhibitions fall and his hand begins to wander, resulting in a pleasantly distracting method of celebrating Britain's win.
Team-building, Japanese Style by Willowbrooke
6,717 Words, Gen, pre-James/Robbie Rated G, No Archive Warnings Apply Innocent's latest innovative team-building attempt—Yukigassen, or competitive snowball fighting—leads to an exciting match and a fascinating look at different methods of workplace leadership—and a rather jealous Robbie when James ends up on Peterson's team.
Sunny, Snowy Sunday by Vita_S_West
3,106 Words, James/Robbie, Rated T, No Archive Warnings Apply Out for a walk after the evening's snowfall, Robbie comes across James in the park and resorts to throwing snowballs to get his attention. The lighthearted snowball fight that follows grows tense when James falls on top of Robbie and miscommunications threaten their pleasant morning.
More than fine by greenapricot
7,372 Words, James/Robbie, Rated T, No Archive Warnings Apply A storm leaves James and Robbie driving through the Peak District in dangerous conditions on Christmas Eve, until suddenly they find themselves stuck in a snowdrift. Braving wet snow and ice without adequate clothing, they find shelter in an empty cabin. Eventually, the necessity of physical touch in staving off hypothermia shifts the initial awkwardness and irritation into some beautiful moments of quiet intimacy.
Winter Storm by wendymr
6,497 Words, James/Robbie, Rated G, No Archive Warnings Apply A blizzard hits as James and Robbie are driving back form interviewing witnesses up in Sheffield, forcing them to endure traffic closings, the horrors of roadside food, an irritated, stranded populace, and the last open bed at the roadside motel. While the closeness puts an initial strain on their moods, it eventually leads to a much-needed discussion about loneliness and friendship—and a bit more.
Blame it on Derek by Evenlodes_Friend
4,011 Words, James/Robbie, Rated M, No Archive Warnings Apply Robbie doubts that Derek is a proper name for a winter storm of this size, though its toppled trees leave them stranded, all the same. Forced to share the last room at the nearby pub, an evening of childhood reminisces and pointed teasing slowly, without rushing, draws them ever closer together.
Snowpocalypse by Sarren
13,077 Words, James/Robbie, Rated E, No Archive Warnings Apply On what should have been a quick jaunt up to Newcastle for a case, the car dies, leaving James and Robbie stranded in the middle of a blizzard without emergency supplies. After a freezing trek through the snow, the two are taken in by a kindly elderly couple and put to bed in the spare room. The spend the next few days reading, playing bridge, doing chores around the house—and growing closer at night.
Snowbound by Willowbrooke
12,253 Words, James/Robbie, Rated M, No Archive Warnings Apply A witness attacks Lewis and Hathaway with a shovel then flees, leaving them injured and stranded in a remote cottage with a blizzard approaching. And while it may not be the most advisable behavior when stuck in a violent suspect's house, they make the most of the well-stocked pantry, the warm fireplace, the comfortable bed—and the hot shower.
Winter Wonderland by greenapricot
5,530 Words, James/Robbie, Rated E, No Archive Warnings Apply Robbie invites James for a short holiday at a remote, snow-covered cottage up in Scotland, complete with sheepskin rug, tartan decor, champagne bottles, and a single double bed. Things grow wonderfully heated between the two, despite the cold winter landscape beyond, and Robbie proves to be delightfully confident and sneaky.
Comfort Zone by lamardeuse
718 Words, James/Robbie, Rated T, No Archive Warnings Apply Established relationship. On an exchange program with the Mounties, James and Robbie find themselves stranded in a small Canadian shack. But the fire is warm against the cold outside, and James rumpled after his fight with the generator, leaving them with some rather enjoyable methods of keeping busy.

Yukigassen: La Battaglia di Neve Giapponese che Diventa un Fenomeno Globale

Yukigassen: La Battaglia di Neve Giapponese che Diventa un Fenomeno Globale
Tumblr media
Introduzione
Espansione Globale
In sintesi

Interesting Sports Around the World
Interesting Sports Around the World https://ift.tt/y4UstBN Sports have always been an integral part of cultures worldwide, reflecting the diversity and creativity of different societies. While some sports are widely known and played globally, there are also unique and fascinating sports specific to certain regions or communities.  Let’s explore some of the exciting sports around the world: Sepak Takraw (Southeast Asia):  Originating in Southeast Asia, Sepak Takraw is a sport that combines elements of soccer and volleyball. Players use their feet, knees, chest, and head to keep a small woven ball off the ground and attempt to score points by kicking it over a net. The acrobatic moves and incredible athleticism in Sepak Takraw make it a captivating sport. Kabaddi (India):  Popular in South Asia, particularly India, Kabaddi is a high-energy contact sport that requires strength, agility, and strategic thinking. It’s a thrilling mix of physicality and mental agility. Buzkashi (Central Asia):  Buzkashi, which translates to “goat dragging,” is a traditional equestrian sport played in Central Asian countries such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. It involves horse-mounted players competing to grab a goat carcass and score by dragging it to a designated goal area. Buzkashi showcases its participants’ horsemanship skills and strength and is a significant cultural event. Bossaball (Various Countries):  Bossaball is a unique and entertaining sport that combines elements of volleyball, soccer, and gymnastics with music and a trampoline-like inflatable court. Played on a volleyball-like net, teams aim to pass the ball to the opponent’s side and score points by hitting it onto the opponent’s court. With its acrobatic jumps, spectacular spikes, and lively atmosphere, Bossaball creates a vibrant and engaging experience. Calcio Storico (Italy):  Calcio Storico, also known as historic football, is a historical sport played in Florence, Italy. It dates back to the 16th century and combines soccer, rugby, and wrestling elements. Teams representing different districts compete in a fast-paced, highly physical match where the objective is to score goals by any means necessary while enduring intense physical contact. Bo-Taoshi (Japan):  Bo-Taoshi is a large-scale team sport played in Japan. It involves two teams of 150 players each, with one team defending a large pole and the other team attempting to bring it down. The game features an intense struggle for control of the pole, with players working together to topple their opponents or prevent them from achieving their goals. Yukigassen (Japan):  Yukigassen is a popular winter sport in Japan that translates to “snow battle.” It is a snowball fight played as a competitive team sport. Two teams with snowball ammunition and shields face off in a designated field, aiming to eliminate opponents by hitting them with snowballs or capturing their flag. Yukigassen combines the joy of snow play with strategic team-based gameplay. These are just a few examples of the fascinating sports around the world. Each sport offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage and sporting traditions of different regions, showcasing the universal appeal of sports and their ability to bring people together through competition, athleticism, and shared passion. What if Lizzie competed in Yukigassen, aka the Japanese sport of professional snowball fighting?
She would win, seeing as she's basically got an unfair advantage, but I bet she'd frickin' love it.

Super chill, Anon!
What's up? This the right place to register a Quirk? Hope so, cause that's what's I'm gonna do. Y'know that iceberg feeling in your mouth when you drink water with gum?Yeah, well, when I get that I can breathe out this super-cool mist that freezes anything it touches. I can also catch the mist in my palms, shape it, and throw a sphere that, when broken, spews out the same mist but it's a little weaker. See ya and thanks!
Thanks for registering your quirk. It's been updated:
Quirk: Vapor - The ability to blow a freezing mist. Type: Emitter Range: Close Range
Goddamn, just thinking about this gives me the chills. There was this bitch in grade school that used her ice quirk to try and freeze my spinal fire vents closed, and yet I’m the one that got in trouble for burning her hair off. Is that weird iceberg feeling something that happens when you use your quirk or something you have to have to use your quirk? Are there other ways to get that feeling? What if the flavor of gum affected the mist? That’d be damn cool. Have you ever checked out how cold the mist is? Normal freezing or is it sub-zero freezing? And how resistant is your body to it? Okay, these mist bombs you make. Are they solid mist or ice, and how easy are they to break? Either way you’d be fucking awesome in a snowball fight! Anyone who won’t throw ice balls in a snowball fight is a damn coward.
I’ve totally seen Shouto breathe frozen air before, which may be about as close as you’re gonna get. There is another hero, who isn’t exactly the same but she’s still super kickass. Miss Illusion doesn’t do frozen shit, but she does breathe out mist when using her quirk. Between the two of them, I figure you’ll be able to get some good experience.

1. In a country which functions on practicality, knows when to let loose, and maybe that balance is what that keeps them going. Tokyo promotes worlds largest morning disco, for an entire bunch of people who have a long day to survive at work. PS. People attend these early in the morning and then start their day. 2. Ikigai: The Japanese secret to a long and happy life quotes, "..... Taking about the same, Japanese reflect their ideologies through idioms such as "Never Bite Your Own Naval" or " If you speak of tomorrow, the rats in the ceiling will laugh" expressing a universal truth: The future is unpredictable. This is similar to the English saying, “we make our plans, and God laughs.” 3. How does Japan look during winters? Well, Hakkaido City, Japan - Snow clapped mountains promote "Dog snow sledding" where you ride a bunch of dogs as an authentic activity. Japanese Winter season also reminds me of "Snow ball fight" called Yuki Gassen is considered an official sport and not just another game. #写真好きな人と繋がりたい #いいね返し #japanesecultures #japanesetradition #japanlife #japan🇯🇵 #japaneseculturefestival #japaneselifestyle #japanmade #sexworkers #kanamaramatsuri #kanamarafestival #japanmade #japanese #exploredjapan #yukigassen #yukigassen❄️ #japanesepop (at Japan) https://www.instagram.com/p/CC3bAG_DBks/?igshid=15k0m1mdzbo00
