the Rolan brainrot's hit me HARD; i did not expect to lowkey fall for an NPC when i started playing BG3 but here i am - making a Tav for a hypothetical Rolan romance 😔 and it didn't help that i absolutely love your Rolan fics HAHA (i can't stop rereading them 🐊)

anyways, the brainrot today has me thinking of being on the receiving side of being teased 😶‍🌫️ usually, it's Rolan doing work and Tav being the tease, but i believe that he has his moments too >:)

it's a time when he's actually finished earlier and all he can think about is snuggling next to his lover. however, he notices that Tav's not done with whatever it is they're writing and he sees the opportunity of some overdue payback.

he places a hand on their shoulder and leans over, lips slightly brushing against their ear and asking them a question that he knows doesn't fully register in their head. when he receives a distracted hum for a reply, he starts placing kisses on their neck.

if Tav notices his ministrations, they don't outwardly show it. but Rolan is nothing if not stubborn - he wants his lover to get a taste of their own medicine. so, his hand starts caressing the length of their swordarm, the nail of his thumb slightly grazing skin. he wraps his tail around their upper thigh and the tip slightly grinds against them. a soft bite on the neck and a hand grasping firmly on Tav's wrist is what it takes for Tav to stop writing. when he hears them sigh out his name, he immediately steps back and makes a leave for the bedroom.

he knows he wins when he hears the chair scrape against the floor.

I totally didn’t either, anon! My pipeline to Rolan obsession went like: spend 1 week in love with Astarion on full game release > spend 1 week besotted with Gale > finally play through Rolan’s full arc, and fall head over heels with him for the past...9 months with absolutely no end in sight.

There’s something dangerously addictive about Rolan’s character in particular 😩 It’s good to know we’re not alone in the madness, eh!

Love this scenario of yours 💓 I really really believe that Rolan does have a mischievous, playful side of him that would totally lead him to act like this with his significant other. I always felt the first real taste of it directed toward the player is that classic don’t be greedy~

I’ve always wondered if that little interaction is a glimpse of how Rolan acts when he’s really comfortable/around people he loves. Like the way he acts at the tiefling party in Act 1, trading little quips with his siblings. So fun to imagine him being playful like that with Tav…and maybe being a downright menace with it like you imagined here 😉 So unfair that Larian gave us these little in-game morsels of him being flirty and saucy and didn’t let us smooch his stupid face

I'm so sad there's no Minthara hugs. Well there's this silly thing with Gale but I wish we could hug a romanced Minthara :(

With how she talks about not being able to enjoy someone's company or the food without the fear of being killed and how the drows are stabbing each other in the back literally and figuratively, I think hugs are a big deal for her and she'd allow them rarely. Letting someone embrace her would put her at risk of being pierce through by a blade. So imagine that she can finally relax and feel safe in someone's arms, without the fear that they'll take advantage of this moment and hurt her :(

Oh man I so wish, because hugs are a great way to hide your face/emotions/intentions from the other, so for Minthara to trust Tav enough for hugging, ooof. The fact that she feels safe enough to sleep in Tav's arm that first night *go outside and scream again*

Since many companions get hugs in the epilogue, hopefully that will be implemented in the main game soon? My wishful thinking is besides the repeatable kiss option, you can ask for hugs too? *fingers crossed*

(arven x reader dancing in his kitchen late at night listening to his music while cooking together) That’s just what i’d imagine but literally i’d love to read anything! I love your arven fics smsm and the arven blog has been empty for a bit, i’d love to see more of what you write :)

It wasn’t unusual for you to be at Arven’s dorm. At this point, you found yourself being there more often than in your own dorm. 

Arven invited you over to hang out and keep him company while he studied. You, of course, agreed and that’s what brought you to his dorm.

For the most part, you were stretched out on his bed while idly chatting with him. Once he seemingly grew quieter, you knew the tells that he was fully focused on what he was reading and redirected your attention to giving Mabosstiff pets and then catching Iono’s stream.

Her stream seemed to be about showing off food, all decorated to resemble Pokémon, at a cafe she was streaming at. The adorable food led you to switch apps and search up more videos, and you knew that you just had to recreate one of these. 

And that you had to get Arven involved.

He seemed a bit confused at your sudden insistence on making food at this hour, making you realize just how late it was. But you insisted there was no better time than the present, to which Arven eventually agreed to the idea.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that you accidentally admitted to skipping out on dinner because you were more focused on getting to Arven’s dorm right after your adventuring for the day…

Somewhere in the midst of finishing the bow-shaped pastries for the dessert, you stepped back and admired your work. The decorations still needed to be done, which you were partially dreading, but you were quite proud of what you’ve accomplished. You only interrupted Arven a couple times and managed to leave him alone long enough for him to focus on making bolognese sauce for the pasta that was boiling. He already completed the Yamper bun aspect for the dish, which definitely made you regret your decision in declaring that you’d take care of dessert instead of the pasta, but it was fine! You certainly wouldn’t offend every Sylveon out there once you began decorating the pastries to bear some semblance to them. 

Hopefully.

Deciding that you’ve stalled long enough, you returned back to your spot and went to reach the powdered sugar when you heard the next song playing from your Rotom Phone that hovered above you and Arven. 

You recognized the melody instantaneously and drummed your fingers on the counter. Within seconds, you put your decorating tasks on hold and sung along with the song below your breath. It didn’t take more than a second for you to sway along to the beat.

From the corner of your eye, you caught a smile unfurling on Arven’s face as he watched you from where he stood. The second that you both made eye contact, you wasted no time crossing the space between you two to approach him. You offered your hands to him and he easily slid his hands into yours after he quickly lowered the flames on the stove.

With a tug towards you, you guided him closer and began to swing your connected hands. As the song continued on, you both began to sway your bodies and eventually moved around within the space of his kitchen. It was a bit awkward with the limited space though neither one of you had any complaints.

“Me gusta la cena, me gustas tu,” You decided to sing along once again all while you maintained eye contact with Arven.

You savored the way that Arven’s face slowly bursted into a nice, rosy shade that coated the surface of his cheeks and the tips of his ears. His expression changing to one of surprise was a delight, causing you to miss the next line, but you immediately jumped to sing the following one.

“Me gusta su cocina—”

“Me gustas tu,” Arven finished the line, his gaze had long left you and shifted onto Mabosstiff instead.

Your eyes widened ever so slightly, glints of adoration shining at how Arven joined in with singing. Heat rose up in your cheeks and you could hardly stop the grin that broke across your face from growing. You returned back to dancing, giving Arven the space needed to gain the strength to glance back at you in his flustered state. The blush didn’t leave his face though to be fair, you were certain you were sporting a matching one as well.

Once the song came to an end and started on the next one on your playlist, you and Arven stared at one another. 

“We should probably check back on the food,” Arven said. Despite that, he made no effort in separating from your side or looking back at the neglected food on the counters and stove. 

You nodded your head in consideration though found yourself swaying to the next song. “Hmm, after one more dance?” You asked, giving Arven’s hand a light squeeze, as you looked up at him hopefully.

A sigh fell from Arven’s mouth, but his grin gave away his act. He spared you a quick glance and his expression softened along with his grin, “Sure, after one more dance, bud.”

I’ve actually never gotten food poisoning in my life, which unfortunately gives me an egocentric invincibility fallacy complex. I believe that I’m just built different and can eat whatever suspicious food I want without worrying about food poisoning because it’s always worked for me before. I fear that when I inevitably get food poisoning, I’m just going to be like “well it only happened one time. What are the odds of it happening again?” Because one thing about me is that I am a bitch that does NOT learn her lesson.

Hello, my dear! Wow, I'm amazed anyone noticed and so quickly hksjwoigsdj I'm very sorry for any inconvenience that caused you while reading! I locked my fics (for y'all who haven't experienced that feature, it's just making it so that all my fics are restricted to logged-in users only) because a very, very small minority of guest comments were making something I love into a somewhat stressful experience, and I felt like it's very goofy to let that happen.
