Ted Spankoffski is attempting to get back into theatre, manage his feelings for Charlotte Sweetly, and not strangle the oddly-friendly Sam in the process. Meanwhile, Zach and Zoey Chambers are out for blood, and Melissa is trying to prevent her younger siblings from killing each other—or getting caught in the crossfire. And Ruth Fleming is hoping to conquer her anxiety and finally fulfill her dream of performing onstage.

“I’m going to kill her,” Josh was still seething, as Zach sat on the couch. He paced around the room, his fingers clenched into tight fists.

“Get in line.”

“I’m serious, Zach!” Josh exclaimed, whirling on him with real anger in his face. He was red in the face, lips curled in anger and disgust.

Zach snorted, bitter. “And you think I’m not?” His hands were still shaking with pure, blind rage. He hadn’t spoken to Meemaw in years, sure. He’d stopped coming over once he just couldn’t stand it anymore. But for Zoey to out him? To their homophobic grandma?

Zach and Josh have a heart-to-heart after that phone call.
