Writing Help

Currently I'm working on outlining a story but I'm unsure what point of view I should write the Prologue in. In it, somebody gets murdered which sets off the plot as the main characters tries to figure out why they were murdered. What I'm struggling with is whether to write in from the victim's point of view or the murderer's.

The murderer and the main character are both supernatural beings (haven't come up with the name), though the main character is hiding it from the rest of the town.

Writing it in the Victim's POV will keep the mystery about why it had happened, which would be especially useful as the protagonist tries to figure out the motive. It would also help establish why the main character is hiding themselves from the town through the victim's superstitions. But, I feel like doing it that way could be boring unless I start it with them getting attacked straight away.

Writing it in the Murderer's POV would get rid of some of the mystery, which could make it slightly frustrating for the reading since they already have some idea, though I could make it so the motive is hidden. Doing it this way would also help establish what could be possible for the main character later on in the story since they don't have as much knowledge as the murderer.
