To @theoliviaset and all the endos fighting against this post, you cannot say that traumagenics and endogenics have the exact same experiences. They do not, or else how would they have different system origins? That’s speaking out over pluralities like us that are trying to let people know that we are not the same thing as traumagenic systems. Besides, what the important part is, is the treatment. Medical systems need different treatment then non-medical pluralities- that is scientific fact.

And I never said OSDDID systems*have* to use only medical terms. You are free to use any terms you want. But endos *should not* use medical terms like alter, system, or introject. I don’t know about the term fronting, but personally, it is very easy for us to just use alternatives.

We are not trying to divide the plural community. But we cannot act like every plurality is the same, and that medical language means nothing.

🌻 Terms For Endos🌻

Fellow endos, I support you. But we must remember that, since we (most of us) are not medical, we should not use medical terms. That could cause confusion- say, you tell a doctor you are a system. They misinterpret that as you saying you have DID/OSDD/UDD and set you up with a therapist dedicated to those conditions. This would be not only be now what you need, but also taking away from DID/OSDD/UDD patients. So we've made a list of terms that don't have medical connotations that endos should use more! We also added alternative words for "Tulpa" because that is sometimes considered cultural appropriation. System -> collective, plural, community Alter -> headmate, mindmate, headfriend, member Fronting -> in control, in front Switching -> changing, transferring consciousness Inner World -> headspace Tulpa -> Thoughtform, mindform, mental creation

You aren't 'invalid' if you don't use these terms but we highly recommend doing so!

the thing is you will probably never know the small nuances of people's identities, online or offline. you don't know their history or their emotions that leads them to use certain labels. and they don't have to explain it to you, either. you literally cannot understand why people will ID the ways they do, and if there is no tangible harm, why get so upset over it? who was this community made for, if not the undefinable freaks of gender and sexuality?

How about this- we medicalize systemhood, not the entire concept of plurality?

The idea of having more than one personality or soul in one physical being exists in many aspects outside DID/OSDD. Being a system is another word for having DID/OSDD, but plurality is not.

We totally support endogenic pluralities thinking critically about whether they have had trauma, or have been in a situation where their brain could have suppressed trauma. This is not some cult that tries to trap people in it. If every endogenic plurality realized they did actually have trauma and were a system and went on to seek treatment for that, we would be happy for them. But that’s not going to happen, because some pluralities just don’t have trauma.

I wouldn’t say it’s ableist not to support endos as a whole, unless you are specifically going after pluralities who have other disorders such as autism, ocd, bpd. I think being anti-endo makes you disrespectful and inconsiderate, but not necessarily ableist.

at this point im against any form of non-disorder plurality. does it exist? fuckin hell if i know. but being "plural" and having did/osdd is so intrinsically linked that the two cannot be separated. there are people who will have did/osdd and not realize, thinking its just "oh im just a non-disordered plural :)" and that's fuckin dangerous. people not getting treated for their disorders is dangerous and acting like its "fine" is pushing anti-recovery rhetoric. did/osdd is an ESPECIALLY dangerous disorder to not seek therapy for. with a 70% suicide rate and intense symptoms stemming from trauma it's something that NEEDS to be diagnosed. we NEED to be helped. we NEED therapy. and no this isn't me saying we need to reach final fusion, it's me saying we need to be functional and be able to recover with our disorder.

"oh but this harms non-disordered plurals !!!" how? how does it? give me one reason how it does. and either way i would rather the DISORDERED. the DISABLED. people be safe. yes. i put the safety of disordered people who have a high suicide risk higher than the safety of a 14 year old on the internet with a non-disordered "monsengenic" system or whatever the hell yall wanna call it. so yes. we should medicalize plurality because the safety of the mentally ill people comes first. if you disagree with that, then hate to break it to you but you're ableist/sanist.

Our wonderland/headspace is a prairie surrounded by a starry void. Around the edges of the prairie to protect people from falling off is a ring of tall snowy mountains. In the middle of the field is a group of houses where our collective’s human members live! Some notable landmarks on the plane are the flower tranquil flower garden protected by a rock wall, the bubbly creek that leads to Otter’s pond, and a beehive for our co-host Bee! On one side is a pine forest where one of the trees is always decorated festively. On the other side is a bamboo forest that holds tricks and traps and puzzles! None are dangerous, of course, just something for our most intelligent member to do when they are not in front. All in all the place is sunny and warm and full of life both from our plurality and not.

We can’t wait to see what other plurality’s look like!
