Wow! It's been awhile since I finished a book or posted to instagram. Life is ever changing and it can be a real struggle for yours truly. American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis might not have been the right book for my current state. It's probably one of the most violent books I have ever written and while no stranger to deranged acts this pushed me pretty hard. A lot of descriptions and passages while well intended didn't seem to be completely needed by the end of the story. We know Bateman is crazy. I got that 20 pages in. The Harder They Come by T.C Boyle... first time reading one of his books and I enjoyed his writing. It was pretty dark and makes me want to rewatch the Rambo movies. If that makes any sense. The only issue I had with the book was it's initial direction. It almost seemed like the begin was to another book with out an ending and the ending one without a clear begin.
