A knock startled Barty from his process, causing him to turn, grumbling, towards the door.

"What is it?" He asked quickly, annoyed and flushed, as he opened it a crack and pushed his head through to find Pandora standing there.

"Let me talk to my brother," she demanded, crossing her arms, her narrowed eyes starring daggers into Barty's soul.

"He's...a bit tied up at the mo'," Barty answered lightly, trying not to shrink under Pandora's glare.

"Is he?" She asked. "With what?"

"Er. Shaving," Barty replied, internally wincing at the poor excuse. Though Pandora was so good at telling when he was lying, she probably would have known either way.

"Shaving." Pandora deadpanned, her expression vague. "Right. Well. Tell him I'm looking for him, then."

"Will do, Pan!" Barty nodded eagerly, pulling his head back through and turning around to face his bed.

"Shaving?" Evan repeated, his face twisted with shock and humor even as he lay stretched across the bed, twisted and tied in ropes. "All the excuses in the world, and you went with-"

But Barty was quite past embarrassment. He crawled over the bed, straddling Evan's chest, and pulled the other boy into a searing kiss, murmuring, "Quiet. I'm not done with you."

And instantly, Evan stilled, his pupils going dark.

This because Katniss was willing to listen to logic to get Peeta back (because she had other family to protect if she didn’t it’d be a whole another story) but if KATNISS was left in the arena? There would be no logic, not even HEARING of logic. Peeta would act like he was when he was hijacked and throw shit around and wreak absolute HAVOC if he knew the capitol had Katniss. Everytime they would try to speak to him he would go ���where’s Katniss?” Over and over until they left him alone or went to get her.

He would break rules and refuse to eat and actively work AGAINST the rebellion and try and make it die out so they would HAVE to go get Katniss. He would give them no other option, even if they came up with a different idea that didn’t involve either of them he would make sure it failed and make sure he got her back. He would do ANYTHING for her.

I think it’s kind of funny how coin (who obviously wanted peeta rescued from the arena instead of katniss) doesn’t see what an absolute nightmare he would be for her to deal with if she left katniss in that arena

Like she thinks katniss was hard to deal with/manipulate/control after she left peeta behind? Peeta would’ve had her whole district eating out to the palm of his hand before she even realized who she was dealing with. She thought katniss was too single minded/stubborn about her focus on saving peeta over the revolution itself? He would have been her absolute nightmare (and I adore him for it)

The fact that no one has said this yet is shocking to me becuase it’s so rare that I come up with an original thought but it is seriously not talked about enough.

In The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes Lucy Gray is a songbird who’s “weapon” is a snake which she killed no one with except in the games, and she respects them greatly and Coriolanus is a snake who’s weapon who he used to kill one of the only people who loved him is a song bird and he wanted every last one of them dead including Lucy Gray.

Like why have I seen nobody make this connection yet like hello😭

Hi! Sorry there’s been kind of a delay in my writing since today was my first day back at school and I’ve been getting ready these past few days.

MARAUDERS APOCOLYPSE FIC

Hi, I’m James and I’m writing a new apocolypse fic for the fandom because I’ve noticed there is a SEVERE LACK

It’s going to be called something like Heart Eater or Cardiac I believe and will include TONS of ships, even if they aren’t endgame there will be plenty

However I’d like to ask for everyone’s help, I’d like to have some volunteer beta readers and editors(everyone who helps will be credited) and if people want to dm me ideas I’d be more than happy to take a look

I’d like to tell you some things about the fic while we’re here. It’s going to be written in third person with mixed POVs set just a bit after the start of the apocalypse. Don’t worry the disease will be explained not just RAH ZOMBIES yk? I plan on making it SUPER long, like Crimson Rivers long yk, and it’s the marauders AND an apocalypse fic so you can expect loads of angst(don’t worry plenty fluff will be included).

I don’t want to spoil my plans though! So let me know if this is something everyone is interested in and if anyone would like to give me ideas or be a beta reader/editor.
