I should be asleep but was playing Stardew and then BOOM an idea of a 'what if' smacked me. It has Not even been that long since my last ask 🥹 it's kinda concerning...

Pushing on before I forget! So this 'what if' is based on my previous ask in regards to Aschy seeing (gossip) ghost and inspired by season 4 ghost father from the scroll. ...So remember Kotoe.. I uh didn't check what the Japanese mythology death gods/deities/Kami are and how they work, kinda typing this down as I go, ANYWHIZZLE, what if Ascharya is able to see her ghost? Cuz like she's one of the elder kitsunes of her family and she has a Big family, so she would have to make sure they were safe and doing well, especially since when & where she obliterated herself.., Kotoe being content and moving on to another sibling and repeating the process, cuz that would take some time. Like the ghost from season 4 finally moving on once they accept they have to let go and be content. I guess when she comes around to the Lopez family she would begin to be content and want to move on buf then her fam is in danger again and there aint nothing she can do physically. For some reason I think of her as the tired aunt just wanting to rest but then her fam gets up to problems and she's like "Not again." Like no matter what they be causing or be involved with shenanigans during her life and afterlife. Back on topic! what type of impact would she bring?

Now, about Kotoe being a ghost in this what-if scenario. As in the original story of Terrestrial Inquiry, celestials and demonkind do not turn into ghosts or have the chance humans do in the afterlife. You know… since they are ‘superior’ beings, it’s ironic they won’t be capable of being ghosts/spirits and would be permanently dead by a bizarre circumstance 🥲

However, I love the idea of Kotoe going from sibling to another after being satisfied with their lifestyle🙂‍↕️ I also adore the thought of her being the tired aunt because the Lopez Family keeps getting themselves in trouble *cough* Macaque *cough*

The impact she would bring to the story would be mainly on a hilarious note. Ascharya would be more knowledgeable in Macaque’s 200 years of his journey thanks to Kotoe ranting to him about how Macaque was always a troublemaker back then. She would also cheer for Ascharya when he goes kick bad people’s butts🥳🎊 Macaque would be cluelessly followed around by Kotoe’s spirit and feel an ache on the top of his head as if he was bonked there for a bad deed but also feel a warmth that draped his shoulders like a blanket when he feels down. When he cries, she cries, if he laughs, she laughs 😭

On a more sad note, Kotoe wouldn’t regret making her sacrifice if it meant protecting her siblings. She would be sad seeing Macaque hurl himself into an endless cycle of self-blame and survivor’s guilt but try to make the best of it by remembering what Ben had always wanted for Macaque. Something Macaque doesn't know either, ohhh, I wonder what he told our cute kitsune sister!

Small Question!

Many of you know I am on my summer break and have been writing diligently to release Chapter 13! And, oh boy, do I have news for you all… I have hit the 30k word mark and I am now unsure if I should split the chapter or not😳—

Oh jeez Louis, it’s just so much information and I am seriously considering splitting the chapter. That is why I am turning to all of my lovely readers for their opinion! What do you all think? Let me know hehe💕

Hey, silly random thought- what if Ascharya could see spirits/ghost simply as a side effect from Macaque being revived from the dead.

Just a silly thought I just got and curious how that'll play out ◝⁠(⁠⁰⁠▿⁠⁰⁠)⁠◜

OH also I don't fully remember if someone else asked this or something similar over on here or over in tiImk comments sections (Kinda typing this down with these ideas still on my mind 😅) if someone did pls let me know.

Continuing on~ This is in regards of Savage and Rumble (+the secret 3rd clone from the prototype set named "Thunder" by some fans; if ya want to include em), so in cannon they either don't exist(only in lego sets) or they haven't been introduced yet HOWEVER even though we don't know if your gonna add them or not- what if they like watch over Aschy whenever he goes out and they just chill in his shadow keeping an eye on him and only stepping in when something Aschy can't handle happens (which is like highly rare or non-existent but it puts them at ease or something knowing he can handle himself) and Baby Aschy playing with them while their in the shadows. And the only time they watch over him is when everyone(the crew) are super busy randomly which is even rarer. What would their dynamic be like for you?

1. What if Ascharya can see ghosts/spirits as a side effect of Macaque being revived from the dead?

First, Ascharya isn’t exactly human either and is very much like his dad— kind of an anomaly or a special case. So, this could be seen as a canonical sense of the story 😉 He wouldn’t be exactly spooked at the sights of these ghosts and converse with them privately, so he doesn't look like a maniac who talks to a wall. In a clear sense, Ascharya was exposed to much more startling things at the beginning of his life and has grown used to a lot of things. Though it is not trauma he has experienced. He was simply born with a different mindset since day one and views things differently, unhinged is a better word for that.

Peenut, my editor, says he is more psychopathic than unhinged, but I beg to differ. Ascharya is capable of feeling love and very human emotions, he is an everyday normal kid who definitely isn’t planning your ultimate demise if you tick him or his friends off on purpose! 🫢

A little note I want to add to this prompt is that, as some may know, Macaque isn’t exactly someone who would profess and rant all of his problems to his child. More precisely, he rarely tells Ascharya how he feels about Wukong specifically. Ascharya learns the majority of Macaque’s mental responses by observing him and by also speaking with the ghosts of Flower Fruit Mountain… let’s just say Macaque and Wukong are not spared the benefit of the doubt in those stories😅

2. Anywho: Rumble, Savage, and Thunder. Aaaa, just know I have them in mind for the story (even if they exist solely for the Lego sets), so stay tuned~

In regards of these three shadow monkeys watching over Ascharya, they definitely would watch over him and step in if something happens, you’re correct on this!! You’re also right that their interference would be rare because Ascharya can handle himself, he’s very capable of handling his ground, and we will be getting into that side of his more on the next chapter >:3c The thought of the three playing with Baby Ascharya is such a heartwarming picture to imagine. Even watching over him when the crew was busy with their things is something I also agree with. I shall say that these cute moments have happened! *Bangs gavel*

Now for their dynamics! Their dynamic would be just three shadow monkeys freaking out over a daredevil of a baby during Ascharya’s infant and toddler days. They would be more used to Ascharya’s antics when he’s older, of course. Rumble would be on meal prep and feeding duty, Savage would be on changing and outfit duty, and Thunder would be on toy and guard duty most of the time (he’s physically the strongest out of all three🤭)

The heart attacks these cuties would experience will be an everyday experience. Ascharya likes to crawl and climb a lot as an infant, making him appear to be above high places or underground a lot… It’s either them scrambling to catch the baby in case he falls, or they need to prevent the kid from getting kidnapped by low-level bad guys. Ascharya would either bite those guys, definitely biting through the skin and muscles like a hungry baby lion (not surprising he learned that from Nezha when he was an infant.) Even with kidnapping attempts becoming successful, the trio would find the baby being surrounded by the men, beaten to death, and Macaque glaring at the three clones with Ascharya sleeping soundly in his bloody arms. There would be no need to worry because Macaque always keeps an eye on his kid and knows when something is wrong the second it happens 😭

Hi train, hope your having a good day and sleeping a lot, i just wanted to ask what is mac and Bens cats name, and what breed/gender are they, i couldn't draw them accurately in my last post cuz i didnt know what breed they were thus their color, you mentioned them having a velvet coat but i didn't know if that was the actual color of their fur or if that implied something else. Kinda a bad time to ask, considering that i already drew them with a velvet fur color 😅 but when i get more information (and freetime, please im dying from schoolwork send hel-) i'll be able to redraw them accurately, anyway sorry this is so long, have a good/night.

Now onto the question; This has been nagging me for a while.. So I went back and read through the What If's questions and mortal4d "What if Ben and Mac never met" stood out to me since you mentioned in my What If that at BD Ben & Mac point of time they're at their lowest so since they'll be alone in their journey until post s3 and seem to be doing well.

What If - Ben & Mac did meet but separated due circumstances (you decide) and met again either post s3 or the plot (begining or at random)?

Another What If is one of yours - "What if Ben was present with Mac" (+ Aschy)? Would Ascharya have his lil sibling he asked for before Bai He came to the picture? Would Bai still be seen as a little sister? Does Ben stick with Mac during confrontations such as Inari's visit and Redson encounter + Mayor? What would change? I guess Pigsy & Tang can't be mad about the missing parent now. (⁠ㆁ⁠ω⁠ㆁ⁠)

Now, this ask *cracks knuckles* will be tough to answer without revealing any spoilers. Thank you so much for your ask! I love all the asks, and I get to continue fanning over my fanfiction. 🫶🫶🌟

1. What if Macaque and Ben have met but have separated due to heavy and undeniable circumstances, and then meet again post s3/during s3 or any random plot?

For the season three plot part, if whatever miraculous occurrence has separated the two and they reunite at this timeframe:

Ben would sob in a waterfall of relief seeing Macaque is alive and well… or so it would seem. He would ask him everything and begin to notice through his emotions that Macaque had his lantern taken by the Mayor and given to the Lady Bone Demon. While Ben’s realization is forming, Macaque would be overwhelmed by Ben’s worry and care (probably because Ben is one of the few beside MK who actually worry about him) that Macaque would probably crumble on the spot and do terribly in trying to hide his face on the brink of a frustrating meltdown.

Can’t blame the guy, season three was the season Macaque messed up on a LOT of things, and was pushed to make worse decisions but should’ve done things differently. Outbursts and panic do wonders for anyone.

And Ben’s reaction to that? He’ll definitely be there for Macaque at all costs and do something more than just “talking” to the enemy out of their plan. Wow, I haven’t gotten to the part of the story when Ben genuinely gets angry… let’s leave it to our imagination, shall we? 🤭

2. What if Ben was with Macaque in the present + with Ascharya?

Now this one is tougher. Oh gosh, let’s do this!

Would Ascharya have the little sibling he had always wished for before Bai He came into his life?

To be exact, no. At least, not yet... Since the circumstances of the family would be different, Ascharya would not be as adamant about having a sibling. Rather so, he would be satisfied with his family home life until then.

Would Bai He still be seen as a little sister?

Of course!! Her entrance into their lives would be as normally intended and she would be fascinated with Ben’s role in Ascharya’s life.

Would Ben stick with Macaque during his encounters with Inari, Redson, and the Mayor?

Definitely. No shortcuts.

While Macaque is evasive to anyone when it comes to anything personal about his relationship with Ben, Ben (if he was there), would be the one to admit the assumptions and accusations made to either one of the two. It would be rocky with Inari, not as heated of an argument as with Macaque alone, but definitely bittersweet. The part with the Wukong confrontation would end up with Ben quietly freaking out and already sprinting to the train with Macaque and Inari hooked under each arm. He is not risking a fight with some god that early into the story, he just doesn't want to! They all have a reputation! 😭

With Redson, Ben would admit a lot of things and do most of the talking about the really bad stuff that happened last century- as he was comfortable explaining that to his sworn nephew since he has mentally recovered enough to speak about it.

And last but not least, the Mayor. This one is a tough one to imagine as Macaque and Ben are fantastic actors and would seem like the perfect pair of plant shop owners. It wouldn't even be a good interrogation as the two would play around with the Mayor until he is close to bursting into flames from their annoying charades.

What would change?

A LOT OF THINGS. Macaque wouldn't be as nostalgic and depressed anymore. Even with facing his hurtful past, Ben would be there to encourage him. He wouldn’t be scared anymore and actually much more confident when he gets stopped by Sun Wukong the first time, handling his emotions and finally making progress on his way to healing from the bad things between him and Wukong, they could actually work it out soon and Macaque’s reveal wouldn’t have to end up in a fight.

Ben would’ve loved MK and Mei, alongside everyone else. Ben is much smarter than I give him credit for and recognizes the paths that are set out for the friend group soon.

Oh my stars, the Pigsy and Tang situation about the missing parent. Ben’s presence in Macaque’s life is only going to cause more hilarious misunderstandings. Why? Because Macaque would be avoiding the topic on purpose and tease his two friends while Ben plays along and only shrugs when asked the big question haha! Basically, less fights and more making up peacefully~

I got another permission slip from my editor btw! I’m happy to say that the possible candidates for the awesome “Who is the parent of Macaque’s son?” will be introduced and assumed by a new character soon!!!

In chapter 15, you all will be given the possible contestants MWHAHAHA

Good morning! Ahh, Cookie Run Kingdom. I haven’t played that game ever since that BTS collaboration, I get nostalgic thinking about it. Luckily, I keep up with the lore thanks to my mutuals and my little brother😊

To answer your question, I would say that my favorite cookie/character in the game would be Affogato Cookie or Sorbet Shark Cookie. They both are so cute and Affogato might be a heavy implication of what type of characters I like a lot— *stares at the other pretty emo I am currently writing a story about*

Now, for my favorite ship!🥳 I remember this ship being so popular back in 2020, and now it’s not as popular anymore. Wow. As much as I value Sea Fairy Cookie x Moonlight Cookie, my number one ship has to be ChocoMilk/DarkMilk (Dark Choco Cookie x Milk Cookie). They are so wholesome, I used to fan over those two so much and I still value them to this day hehe.

Before getting to the big question, I am truly grateful you and many readers are eager to see the next update. 🥹 I promise, I am working slowly but hard on making it come true!

We finally have arrived at the juicy question: Hermes’s appearance in Terrestrial Inquiry.

To be frank, yes! He will definitely make an appearance in the story. With my editor’s permission, I am happy to say he will be mentioned once more and finally make a small but meaningful appearance in a chapter soon before Chapter 20. Can’t say which chapter precisely 😅

Also, since 2025 has not been my year, I would like to also give some context to my readers about the gods who will be re-entering Macaque’s life and problems. Something to prepare yourselves for in the following chapters of complicated feelings and relationships…

Most of the gods that are/soon-to-be written along with Macaque’s adventures with Ben in the past… are very different in the future/present. They have changed for the better and sometimes for the worse. Just like how Inari used to be a passionate and kind god, loving to anyone, they are now distant and difficult to agree with when they want to remain in denial many times.

The same thing will apply to the next FIVE gods who will make an appearance under five chapters that are 20k+ words each! One or two will not be a surprise to most. As for the other three, *ahem* possibly our goofy speedster, they will act differently for specific reasons. 😬

Who knows? Many people’s defense mechanisms are to lock themselves away in denial or to lash out at anyone they care about. Others do it because they feel like they are deserving of no love. Coping is natural and takes time.

But for these gods, something they have forgotten to take into account many times is how Macaque’s opinion on their hurtful reactions will be. It is a personal blow for someone who is stuck in the past and can't bring himself to move on just yet. It’ll hurt more to see his face of disappointment than the amount of pain they were so confident they could handle before committing the deed.

Oh my gosh, hi Zeto! I did remember you mentioning this question but I never got to respond to it unless it was an ask hehe. Thankfully, I have the answer and boy, I needed to shorten the list because it was too many character inspirations.

Fun fact: as much as I love angsty situations in literature, I am very much a huge fan of healthy relationships too! So, if any of you fear for some fallout between Macaque and Ben, I wouldn't worry about that. I can't bring myself to do that.

okay- random night thought

What does Maali's crew do in their free time/break time?

I know this probably isn't all that important except being background characters that's connected to certain characters (like Shiori's guards).

Oh! And also, what undertale characters would be liked for you characters? (Just for fun, with undertale being a video game).

For some reason I thought of this during school and it's been a recurring thought since then..😅

Little did you know, Maali and his crew, alongside Shiori's guards, matter more to the story than they seem. An example might be when I mention a character for a chapter or two but they are actually important in what the future events hold. 🤭🙂‍↕️

Now for the Maali's crew! (Their names will be revealed later) they are a couple of rascals in their free time. Up in their term of heaven, they enjoyed eating, drinking, making fun of their leader's taste in partners, and playing games of all sorts before needing to head to the battlefields for clean up.

But, ever since they got temporarily banished from heaven for a while and learned all those great things do not come for free, they are now learning basic manners and making discoveries of nature far too late in their age. Poor Macaque, he feels like he is surrounded by grown toddlers!

He can't make fun of them because they genuinely cannot catch a joke and take it too literally. They are immune to his sarcasm. 😔

But the crew aren't the worst type of celestials, they have good moral ethics and mean no harm. It's their leader, Maali, who is the biggest idiot out of all of them and Macaque feels like he will pop a vessel at how restless Maali is. Which is probably soon due to what will happen in the future...

Now, for which characters will be undertale-based... hmm. Gosh, that’s so difficult. I would love to hear anyone else’s suggestions based on it!

For the ask’s sake, I would say the following:

Voting Poll for Writing Prompts!

Oh jeez, where will I start with this one?

Uhm, to my amazing followers and readers for the Lego Monkie Kid fic I have been writing about and postponing, I would like to address something to you all and I guess the other audience that might see this post…

I lost a bet, hard— and it was funny 🤧

I won't be going into detail about it but I will explain my end of the bargain. My proposition was: If I lose, I write the winner’s preferred fic of ANY fandom and ship of their liking as long as I am comfortable with it. Boom, they won and they got to choose. 😅

Thus, I am in a dilemma.

Mainly it is the winner’s dilemma because they can't choose between two options so we are turning to Tumblr for options! (Oh god, I haven't interacted with the Transformers fandom in years! But that's okay; I'm familiar with the franchise and I love my friend enough to dive back in).

So, the result is a vote against time and what the audience prefers out of these possibilities.

I did say I am a multifandom writer so why not go for it These options are so out of pocket compared to the Lego Monkie Kid fandom I'm in but hey, can't take risks unless you try them, amirite? Hehe.

So go ahead and vote everyone!! These are simply options for future writing, nothing official yet my sweet readers 😉

Small Update/Announcement!

Hello, everyone! Train here. As some of you may know, I haven't been updating my LMK Fic, Terrestrial Inquiry, as of late and it is reasonable to assume I might have abandoned it or have been so busy with life that I haven't been writing anymore.

Thankfully, that isn’t the case hehe.

The reason why I haven't been updating for a good month now is that I am actually writing a huge chunk of chapters! Allow me to explain. Since I have realized the arcs in Macaque and Ben’s travels in Australia are quite large ones, along with the events that will happen in the present, I am pre-writing these arcs/chapters! So, when I finish them, they will be uploaded weekly for a good month or two 🥳🫶

What does that mean? That means you all are getting a good 5+ chapters with about/more than 20k words each!! Gotta prepare the table for that angst and comfort everyone 🫂

Thank you for the support— I shall continue writing and I shall give another announcement once I am finished. Here to let you all know my editor and I have been working hard with this one 💕🩵💜

I wonder how Ascharya would react if he met/saw the LBD, and how do you think macs friends and extended family would react to Ascharya, i would love to know ^_^

Oh gosh, Ascharya meeting or seeing LBD is a recipe for disaster 🫢

Ascharya might be sweet at times but that is only with people he cares about. He’s actually quite impulsive and blunt. He makes decisions based on whether or not someone is annoying to him or anyone he cares for in the long run and doesn't doubt his moral code once he is set on eliminating something (like the alleyway demon he killed or when he told Macaque he should kill the Not-Mayor and get it over with it).

So, Ascharya would immediately conclude that the Lady Bone Demon should die. Easy and quick, done.

How I think the reactions of Macaque’s extended friends and family would be hilarious 😭 Many would stare at Ascharya like he's some alien and be super confused, like Kaiya and Cardinia. Others would congratulate Macaque and the rest would sob at how much Macaque has grown. Of course, the first question in mind in everyone's mind is who is the other parent ;)

Speaking of which, very soon in the future chapters, we will see how someone else reacts to Macaque’s son! Keep a look out hehe

Last but not least, thank you for your kind wishes for my family and winter break! I hope you all are doing great too <333 We are doing amazing and my editor and I have flown back to Europe to return for the spring semester (FINALLY). Hopefully, I can wind down from my busy winter break and get back to cranking more chapters 💜💕
