a series of rhythmic clicking could be heard from a certain dorm room. well, not like that was abnormal coming from the students of ignihyde, a yellow shines brightly as the student groans "booo.... another 3 star."

skipping through the gacha animation, the girl sighed. "what shitty rng luck." oh boohoo, same old boring routine. she'd save up how many crystals only to waste it on a duplicate. someone get the tissues because that's just so sad!

she closed the game to wallow in sadness as she sank into her comfortable bed. she opened her calendar, wait a damn minute-

isn't it the entrance ceremony tomorrow? ohhhh... great! a new bunch of newbies who haven't allocated their skill points yet! hopefully the new ignihyde students aren't gonna be a massive pain in the ass.. well, ignihyde doesn't have it as bad as heartslabyul at least (like seriously who let heartslabyul be so overpopulated...)

"you must attend! it is truly unbecoming of a student of our prestigious school to not attend our solemn ceremony!" the thunderous voice coming from yowa's phone was so... noisy.. but who was she to not listen to his rants? well, she was listening to him politely scolding her as she was putting on the ceremonial robes "idia's not going either tho.." she responded. "well, it does not justify your absence from the ceremony!" "i get it. I just don't want to attend in person tho."

the person on the other line of the call only sighed, why is she always like this?

"hmph.. very well, just be sure to attend the club fair!" "i won't miss your terrific horse riding skills" "eurk..!" hes probably as red as a rose right now. "see you during the club fair." she said before hanging up. she had a bit of time left.. she can play some gam-

another call? seriously?? she has like 4 contacts on her phone, who the hell is calling he- oh. Rubia.

"what's good" "you're not attending the ceremony, correct?" "oh goddamnit" "as i thought" "no shit rubia" silence filled the room for a few seconds

"so, how was the call with riddle?" "are you stalking me? where are you?? under my bed??" "it'd be difficult to be under your bed when you don't even have a bed frame" the ignihyde student rolled her eyes "i do have a bed frame for your information." "what? the headboard you forged out of pillows? that does not classify as a bed frame and I know you know it." "it's better than nothing tho" "you have idia to pay for a bed frame." yowa chuckled.

"yeah yeah." "the ceremony should be starting by now." rubia mentions "welp, cheers to the next generation of level 1 newbies" yowa joked as she hung up.

logging onto her account to attend the ceremony online, it seemed like it was approximately 9 minutes from starting.

let's watch the newbies join the game for the first time, shall we?

okay. wow. that ceremony was... fucking wild.

yowa needed to turn off whatever device she was using right now because what the actual fuck was that. so, a random student from another world basically isekaid and triggered a level 5 boss which was a fire-breathing cat (not the weirdest but definitely weird.) that started committing arson? this ceremony was a goddamn mess, but it was an entertaining mess.

after observing the ceremony she had screen recorded over and over, she couldn't help but shrug her shoulders and feel a little bit bad for the newbie. maybe it was because they had to live in ramshackle of all places, but eh. they'll adjust to this world despite being magicless.

she was typing all of this down until she heard a familiar voice coming from the other side of the door "nee-san! the ignihyde welcome celebration is about to begin!" yowa chuckled as she heard the robotic, but lively voice called for her "yeah... give me a moment"

i guess she can wonder more about that newbie later. for now, she'll enjoy her life the way it is.

Here^ ; this is a part of why i stopped writing new fics for twisted wonderland; fanfiction is a community, not something to be consumed.

You don't just "consume "content"" , fanart/fanfic is a give and take, people make things for themselves but share it for passion and conversation.

Also, while we are at it; please, stop calling art "content", you're dehumanising the heart that goes into making it! Fanart isn't made in factories, fanfic isn't made in bulks of copies! All of it is made individually, often painstakingly, with so much care! Each and every single piece of fanmade art and writing and song is ONE OF A KIND! IT'S NOT CONTENT, IT'S NOT MADE IN MUNDANE COPIES!

No one shares their passion when a quiet audience turns they joy into a chore.

Send an ask to your favourite artists and authors, reblog with tags even if it's just exclamation marks upon exclamation marks, if you want to go above and beyond then make something for them.

Make a moodboard inspired by their creations, draw something, write something, send them songs, descriptions of what their art felt like in poems, or one of the many other ways I haven't listed; just don't be a ghost audience.

The best part of being a part of a fandom is being a part of a community; and I had my fun in this one, whether it be with the collaborations, the Twst spotlight, or just generally getting to know everyone.

People who share their passion leave when the community is silent, because they don't share their passion only for it to be 'consumed' and given nothing in return.

it’s no secret that tumblr writers have been leaving or deactivating their blogs, especially in the last year or two. and i think the reason why is even less of a secret.

the fact that writers have to practically beg for feedback and interaction on a site where they post their works for FREE is ridiculous. the fact that most of the people who are reading and consuming these works don’t even spare 10 seconds to add a nice tag to their reblog (if they even bother to do that) is borderline enraging. this is tumblr, not instagram or twitter. likes on tumblr do nothing for the writer. i don’t care if you think that it helps them appear in the tags, or if you think that seeing yet another “___ liked your post” is encouraging to them, because it doesn’t and its not.

and speaking of likes, why is the ratio of likes to reblogs so fucking huge? and before you think i’m being dramatic, lets take a look at some of the notes from my own works.

at the time of me writing this, my one-shot, dream lover, has 821 notes. that’s pretty good right? but let’s see how many are empty likes and how many are reblogs.

“i don’t know what to say tho!” we’re not asking you to be shakespeare. if you’re really that no thoughts head empty just put a keyboard smash, if nothing else.

“but i’m shy and embarrassed!” the anonymous option is there for a reason, and most writers have it turned on. being shy when you have the option of keeping your identity a secret is no excuse.

and yes, i’m aware that some writers don’t have the anon option on, which brings me to my final point.

stop. demanding.

if a writer has requests open, be a decent human being and use your manners. going into their inbox and saying “____’s reaction of this.” is no way to request something. saying please, thank you, or even “hey, could you do a reaction of _____?” is a thousand times better than just telling them what you want them to write.

writers spend hours of their time and energy to write things for you to read, and leaving an empty like is meaningless to them.

if your liked a writer’s works, reblog them and maybe add some nice fucking tags while you’re at or send an ask to them about it. because sooner or later, after so many likes and barely any interaction, more and more writers are going to leave.

stop making them desperate for any spare crumb of interaction and start leaving feedback if you love these writers so much.

An unconscious, seemingly pained stranger on campus grounds was surely not what a group of students expected to encounter today.

They were confused and unsure until one of them raised a hand to gather attention ; "Pardon me," The polite but firm boy began, looking around to make eye contact with various people, "-but i believe we should take this person to the infirmary before we talk about anything."

"So you don't even intend to find where they might've come from?" Questioned another figure, his tone was blunt: direct and inquisitive yet non-hostile, pushing for a genuine answer rather than jabbing for a taunt.

Someone else interjected before the boy could answer; however, they seemed to be on the same page- which he was thankful for.

This voice was calm, belonging to a person who was absurdly tall in comparison to some others who were nearby. "They might be able to tell us their story when they're awake, but i doubt they'll be in good condition if we don't bring them to be treated."

To his left was a figure of nearly identical height who leaned down to pick you up, doing so with ease; setting the plan into motion.

So, a few of the other hooded students nodded in silent agreement, unsure of how to deal with the mysterious entrance of this wounded stranger.

A few glances and ushered sentences akin to "Does anyone know this person?" were exchanged, making some of them confused and others skeptical when it seemed that no one knew you.

One of the upperclassmen joined them on the way temporarily, asking who you were; a frown briefly strained on his features when they told him they didn't know. -Yet, it was gone nearly as fast, followed by the upperclassman saying he'd look through campus and see if he could find anything about you online.

Placing you on the bed, the one who carried you with ease put his hands back in the pockets of his pants; relaxed posture, leaning lightly to the back as he tensed and un-tensed his muscles in place with a sigh of relief.

"..Does anyone even know this minnow's name?" his voice slurred as quiet as can be, as if to not wake you up, eyeing every single student in the nurses' office as they all stilled- aside from one other figure.

Silence devoured the room.

Watching carefully with an interrogative gaze, the tall, unbothered student leaned his back to hit the wall, one foot further out while the other remained steady, closer to the wall.

Soon, someone spoke up - "No. I don't think we do." Replied a careful voice with a skeptical tone, following with a "Do you?" ; directing it at the one who looked all-too-comfortable in this weird situation.

"Nah." Said student shrugged back in return, "- don't recognize 'em."

To the left of this lax figure was someone else that stood nearly the same height as him when standing up, except he now sat on one of the chairs of the infirmary.

"it might be wise to check the student files and see if anything matches," offered the more formal voice, receiving silent approval.

it continued on like that, for a while, back and forth of questioning and wondering- without any satisfactory answers, or any at all.

Eventually, the group checked on the clock, then explaining everything when the nurse arrived, time blurring into a confusing fog- until the silence was cut through with a noise of strain.

...

...Your head hurt like hell- your entire body hurt like hell: it burned in your blood and forced itself out of your system via an involuntary hiss of pain.

it stirred you up with a jolt as it traveled all over your body with a speed you cursed in the back of your mind.

And then followed the storm when you registered the feeling of a bed beneath you, alongside voices of other people.

You dared not to open your eyes, not yet.

Because there was just one problem, a massive one -

you not only couldn't recognize the air within these walls, nor the voices of the ones above you, that was not troublesome enough.

- you couldn't recollect your own name.

Malleus, who feels so happy in a fullfiled way when he gets to do the small, important things for you.

Brushing your hair, styling it with the ease he has in spinning threads- pinning things in place, with a hum in his haze; he sounds zen, in peace and tranquil.

It'd be impossible not to be, when you lean further into his hold as he reaches out to grab a make-up brush; sitting on his thigh, your loving hand on his tail, unhurriedly drawing in a soothing motion.

He works in silence as he puts your make-up on for you, per your request; your wish is his command, and your wishes are all so lovely, each and every one. He thinks though half-closed eyes.

He almost doesn't want it to be over; yet he can't bring himself mind it when his sigh breaks the silence, when you lean your forehead against his.

A smile finds its way on his lips, it always does.

You are the cause of it so often, having sprouted your roots in his heart so that his lovely smile of his blooms much more often.

Lovely, in your words.

He wonders if you're aware of it, how much more deserving you are of it.

But he dares not ask, not when you look at him with such an angelic smile, no, he wouldn't dare to deny it.

Not if the love-struck expressions on his face are the cause of this.

So pretty, he thinks, pupils shrinking in momentary shock as his words reach your ears; the surprise is then replaced by a gentle, polite and almost-shy smile.

So lovely, he barely whispers in a breather.

Together, you eventually get up and take on the day , like you always do.
