the war is almost over. harry's announced dead, but is he? however, he's not the only one to come back from the dead.

"Harry Potter is dead!"

Laughter rang out on the battlefield as the Hogwarts' students and professors' faces dropped with Voldemort's announcement as Hagrid carried Harry's body. It can't be, can it? Harry Potter, the Chosen One, dead? Hermione and Ron are in disbelief as they hold each other close.

"And now it's time to declare yourself! Come forward and join us…or die."

There was tense silence as they looked around, fear in their eyes as they waited for whoever wanted to join his army. Harry was restless as he waited for the right moment, eyebrows furrowing a little when he heard Narcissa and Lucius call out to Draco.

"Come, Draco." Lucius beckoned him over. Draco looked at his mother who smiled a little and nodded. "Come now."

Draco's eyes watered as he stared at his father, hoping one last time he'd be better, but he continued calling him over. However, Draco was tired and stood his ground as he shook his head, closing his eyes as his father got angrier. Luna, seeing his discomfort, whispered to him in her dreamy voice, "Do not worry, you'll be safe here, Draco." Narcissa nodded once more as she held her husband back. All she wanted was to keep her son safe and she's hoping that she made the right choices.

Everyone looked as Neville limped forward, eyes in disbelief as they watched. Voldemort grinned, "Well, I must say I hoped for better. And who might you be, young man?"

Neville stood his ground, "Neville Longbottom."

The Death Eaters cackled. Voldemort was grinning as he said, "Well, Neville, I'm sure we can find a place for you in our rank."

"I'd like to say something."

"Well, Neville, I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to hear what you have to say."

"Doesn't matter that Harry's gone."

Seamus interrupted him, "Stand down, Neville."

Neville turned, frustrated. "People die everyday! Friends, family. We lost Harry tonight." 

"He's still with us, in here." He said, pointing to his heart. "So as Fred, Tonks, all of them. They didn't die in vain."

He looked at Voldemort who was grinning, "But you will, because you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us!"

Neville pulled the sword of Godric Gryffindor from the hat, saying, "It's not over!"

This prompted Harry to drop out of Hagrid's arms, screaming, "Confringo!" as he pointed at Nagini, who hissed as the spell bounced to the nearby Death Eaters. Voldemort screamed as he pointed his wands, sending spell after spell on Harry's running form. His Death Eaters were mostly leaving, but a moment of silence occurred as a spell went past Lucius.

"Hey, leaving so soon?" Everyone stared at the newcomers. Voldemort's eyes were twitching as he tried to remember who this was but Lucius, oh Lucius, was frozen in his spot. "We haven't even joined the party."

"You're supposed to be dead." Lucius said as he stared at Regulus. "You died!"

"Well, Harry's not the only one who, let's say, came back from the dead."

Evan and Barty stepped forward, eyes watering as they regarded their old friend. "Missed me?"

Everyone was confused and scared as Evan and Barty approached Regulus who was on the side opposite Voldemort, save for Hermione who remembered Regulus and turned to Ron, "R.A.B.! That's Regulus Black!"

Whispers erupted as they regarded the man, Sirius' brother, who had his wand still pointed to Voldemort. Evan and Barty were by his side, and for this moment, they weren't Death Eaters but brothers in arms as they also raised their wands towards Voldemort.

"It's not just me, Voldy, let's just say, I've brought friends."

"Aww, we're friends, Reggie?" Dorcas grinned, hand in Marlene's who snickered.

Harry stared, recognizing the people who've joined Regulus, which was impossible because they're supposed to be dead. Harry's head turned when he heard another voice, eyes watering.

"You can't sirius ly leave us, Reggie." James grinned, who found his son and waved. "Hey, Haz. I'm sorry I'm late."

"Prongs, what the hell is that?" Sirius has his hand in Remus' who was grinning as well, his wand pointed to Peter and the other Death Eaters. "Even I could sirius ly doe better than that."

"I swear, I thought this was all over. Guess I was wrong." Lily said to Mary as they walked together, smiling sweetly at Harry. "Hello, Harry."

"This can't be. You're all supposed to be dead!" Voldemort snarled, his wand pointed at them. "This is impossible!"

"Yeah, well, you're supposed to have a nose, but look where we are." Sirius grinned, winking at Harry who's still dumbfounded. How are his parents and their friends (SIRIUS) alive?

"Let's cut the bullshit, alright?" Regulus said, his wand pointing squarely at Voldemort. "You're nothing."

"I'll have you kn–"

"Look around you," Regulus grinned in a sinister way. "They're almost gone. You have nothing left, Voldemort. I can't let you hurt anyone anymore, not on my watch."

"Everyone, get back inside!" Ron and Hermione helped the students go back as they watched, some of the Death Eaters were still by Voldemort and ran to battle with the students, but the adults prevented them from doing so.

"Harry, dear, I know you're the chosen one and all, but let's leave it to the adults, yes?" Regulus grinned. "Let's get to know each other after this, I'll see you."

Harry nodded, running to where Hermione and Ron were. They fought the other Death Eaters with less power, still confused, but didn't stick around to know until the war was over. James grinned as he looked at Regulus, raising his eyebrows, suggestively. Regulus huffed, rolling his eyes. "Later, Potter."

"Wouldn't have it any other way, Reg."

"Keep it in your pants when I'm within earshot, okay, mate?" Sirius playfully glared at his brother and his best friend. "I'm serious. I don't want to hear about anything."

Regulus breathed out a laugh. "Of course, you're serious. You're Sirius Black."

"And, I'm Regulus Black," his eyes turned grim as he looked at Voldemort. "Let's finish this, shall we?"

I decided to compile a list of my own prompts to use for future requests.

There are a total of 210 prompts. Genres are: angst/emotional; fluff/romantic; Miscellaneous/Humor; and Scenario Prompts (the scenario prompts aren't necessarily 100% original, but are versions of popular tropes).

Requests: I prefer 1-3 prompts per request. Feel free to mix and match from other writing prompt lists as well (you can find the other prompts lists here). - please check my bio to see if requests are open.

Scenario Prompts: *For prompts with Characters A and B; you can choose who is who in your request (who is reader and/or character)

Huddled together to keep warm.

Fall asleep in same bed, on opposite sides, wake up in each others arms.

Character A comes to talk to Character B, pretending to be B's s/o when a stranger is making B uncomfortable. Leads to them asking B out on an actual date.

Running from dangerous person or monster.

Hunting down dangerous person or monster.

Separated forcefully or for reasons you can't control, run into each other again years later on accident.

Get locked in somewhere together.

Continuously running into one another for days after having a meet cute.

Hands brush as you stand next to each other, you think it's on accident until their hands gentle wrap around yours.

Shielding the other with their body to save/protect them.

Caught staring too many times for it to be a coincidence.

Size difference hug; they engulf you.

You refuse to leave so they pick you up and throw you over their shoulder.

Character A can tell Character B is getting nervous in a big crowd, so A slips their hand into theirs to help them calm down.

The panic between thinking you lost them and the relief of seeing they are okay.

Character A teaching B to ice skate/roller skate.

B taking care of A when they are sick.

Holding hands underneath the table.

Bandaging the other and then kissing the injury gently.

A surprises B with a picnic.

Getting stuck at the top of the Ferris Wheel.

B sitting/standing behind A and leaning into them as they show/teach them how to do something.

A kisses B, but A can tell there is no feeling behind it anymore.

As you begin to fall asleep, you feel a gentle kiss pressed to your temple and a blanket draped over you.

B comforting A as they wake up from a nightmare.

A realizing that they have feelings for B when they see them with someone else.

B bringing A hand-picked flowers.

Thinking you are alone in the house but you hear a noise upstairs.

B buys A's dream house and surprises them.

Cliff/floor breaks out beneath A and as they fall B manages to grab their hand at the last second.

A leaves baked goods for B anonymously, but B already knows that it's A.

B surprises A with a cake for their birthday even though A forgot what day it was/or didn't know B knew it was their birthday.

Sharing an umbrella.

Walking together and it starts to rain, so they grab your hand and you start running until you can find somewhere to escape getting wet.

A and B meet randomly, B finds out A is on an important mission or quest and decides to go with them to protect them/watch over them.

Fake date to a wedding; leads to confession.

A game of 20 questions that ends with "Can I kiss you?"

There's a big storm going on outside while A is at B's house, so B insists they sleep over.

A hears that B got hurt and rushes over in a panic to see if they are okay.

B just moved to town and really only knows A (just met). B is being followed or is lost and calls A for help. Of course they come to help and it turns into a date of sorts.

A falling asleep while sitting next to B, as there head falls onto B's shoulder, B stays as still as they can, afraid to wake A.

Cloudgazing or Stargazing together, as you lie next to each other, their hand slips into yours.

Looking around for the shirt you left at your s/o's house; only to find it in a drawer with other clothes and items you've left.

B get's so nervous about their dinner date with A that they accidentally make enough food to feed ten people.

A hand written love lover left at your doorstep.

B dancing to music as their cooking or cleaning, and as they spin around A suddenly appears, grabbing onto B and continuing to dance with them.

A grabs B's hand instinctively out of surprise or fear, and continues to hold it.

A keeps catching B (a stranger) staring at them from across the room and feels self conscious, until B finds them later and tells them that they couldn't stop staring out of awe/attraction.

A and B realizing they were holding hands the entire time the moment they had to let go. (after getting scared, nervous, frightened, etc.)

A buying B groceries because they knew they forgot to buy themselves food again.

B is sad because they accidentally threw something important away. A shows up later with said thing, smelling like trash.

A finding a hand-sketched photo of them on B's desk.

B hearing A sing for the first time (due to karaoke, or walking in on them, etc.) and being surprised at how good they sound.

B helping A step down from a high place by taking their hand, and then not letting go as they continue to walk.

Comparing hand sizes, then linking fingers together.

Dancing around the living room of the first home you've bought together.

Long distance relationship; receiving a good morning text every morning, until one day you don't. You are worried, but then there is a knock at your door.

B is sunshine, rainbows and kindness. A is night, rain-clouds and anger. But when A meets B, they bask in the sunshine and never want to leave.

A asking B on a date until they say yes.

B asking A to attend a wedding with them, to get out of going with someone their parents tried to set them up with.

you were fixing your hair in the mirror as your boyfriend, george weasley, came into the room. you smiled at him as you looked up at him and he kissed you. he grinned and said, "hello, lover. you look so beautiful tonight."

you laughed, shaking your head and fixed your earrings. "oh, stop it. you don't look so bad yourself, my love."

you stood up, locking eyes with him as you held hands. you bit your lip to stop from laughing as george moved your hands together as if you were dancing. your eyes traveled to his robes which were a bit askew, and without a word, moved closer to him.

he grinned as he looked at you fix his clothes. the thoughts of being with you for the rest of his life flashed briefly that he couldn't help but place a soft kiss on the top of your head. you smiled widely, confused. "what was that for?"

"i'm just feeling a bit sappy, dear."

"cute," you whispered as you got closer to his face. he closed the distance, kissing you softly. "i love you."

"and i love you."

you both stared at each other for the next few minutes, startling when fred's voice rang out, "enjoying, you two?"

"sod off, fred."

you laughed, holding george's hand in yours. "well, come on, they must be waiting."

you were on the grounds with your boyfriend and his "friends", severus, barty crouch jr., and several other slytherins because everyone knows that slytherins are better when in packs. you laid on his lap, as you chat with narcissa and bellatrix about something that you didn't notice your boyfriend silently watching you, a small smile on his face (which he will absolutely deny).

barty crouch jr. noticed and with a teasing smile, caught regulus eyes as he and the others made kissy faces making regulus scowl silently.

you were laughing at what bellatrix said, making regulus look at you once more. you caught his eye, smiling at him as well as you said, "hey, lover."

regulus shook his head, trying to hide the smile from you and his friends but couldn't. you reached out your hand to his face and before regulus could turn away, your finger touched his nose in a successful attempt to boop him.

"y/n." his tone was warning you but there was a smile he was trying to hide on his face so you grinned.

"reggie," you laughed, booping him on the nose again. "you are literally so cute."

his ears burned at the compliment, glaring at his friends who heard and immediately teased him. he turned to you and glared playfully. "i am not cute."

you were sure your moments together said otherwise.

pansy swore she hated gryffindors. potter and his "gang" always tried to outdo and outshine the slytherins. gryffindors were always a pass on her book.

but then you came along. you were a transferee from ilvermony when your family moved back to scotland, and officially joined hogwarts in your fifth year. you were re-sorted, albeitly slightly embarrassed, with the first years during that year and pansy couldn't help but stare at you, that it took draco nudging her and looking incredulously at pansy and switching to you as a smirk formed on his face.

"not a word," pansy hissed, finally averting her eyes as the hat announced your house, gryffindor.

the next few days had pansy looking out for you, which she would absolutely deny. you were in gryffindor, she was in slytherin, how could that even happen? fortunately for her, not that she'd know, she also caught your eye during one of your classes. you were slowly becoming great friends with hermione and asked her, "who is that?" pointing to pansy.

"parkinson?" she looked at you, confused, but saw your smile. "she's pansy parkinson."

"pansy." you said, nodding. "thank you, 'mione."

when hermione realized what you were planning, she told you the history between the houses, especially the turmoil between gryffindor and slytherin. you were confused as ilvermorny didn't have such prejudices between the houses. sure, there were friendly banter and competitions between the houses but to say one is evil just because of being in a certain house? well, that didn't sit right with you.

you were in the great hall, eating dinner. your seat was facing where pansy was so she couldn't help but stare at you once more. you were laughing with hermione and the others, and she couldn't look away. draco, beside her, noticed and nudged her, eyebrows raising to tease her. he whispered in her ear, "careful, l/n's going to think you're obsessed with her, what with all the staring."

"shut up," pansy's face burned as she averted her eyes from you. just as she did, you looked at her in amusement when you almost caught her staring. but, you did notice, you weren't daft. maybe you'll just approach her later, you were getting rather impatient to wait for her to be the one to approach you.
