what influences your style?

Mood, mostly. I have a large variety of clothing, from monochrome pieces to soft pinks and bright yellows. Combat boots and point-toed bright yellow summer heels. I need variety to accompany all of my different moods.

who do you confide in?

My significant other, primarily. My best friend sometimes.

sweet or salty?

I love both, but I lean toward sweet.

if someone does something embarrassing public, would you laugh or look away?

I cringe and look away.

what do you see beauty in?

Everything. Sky and sea, melancholy lows and manic highs. I love living.

how long does it take you get to ready to leave the house for an event?

It depends on the event. About 20 minutes for day-to-day things. For a date, more like 35.

do you prefer assistance when shopping or to be left alone?

I really prefer to be alone. I'm not terribly shy, but I am introverted.

where do you like to sit in the cinema?

I don't have a super strong preference but definitely in the middle of the row.

do you like sharing your bed with someone?

With my significant other, yes.

what is balance to you?

I'm not sure I have an answer for this. I'm not always good at achieving balance, but I do know it when I have it. Solid boundaries are important, I've noticed.

do you journal?

Off and on.

honest opinion on rom-coms.

I don't like them. They're dull and tend to involve people who shouldn't actually be together somehow falling in love (usually with the woman compromising her entire life's work for the man).

I remember sitting you down that morning, tears already swelling in my eyes. "Why don't we talk anymore?"

You looked thoughtful. "We're talking right now."

"Only because I have a problem and you can tell that we're in trouble."

You paused and shuffled, clearly uncomfortable, wanting this to end. "Okay, we'll talk more."

I wanted to believe you, but I didn't. I shook my head.

"Well, it's just, I don't really want to talk," you explained. "I just want to joke around and have fun."

"So you want a friend, not a partner." At this point we were both crying a little.

"No- maybe- I don't know. Does it matter? I like what we have now."

It did matter, though. I needed something more than a friend in the guise of a lover. And that's when you found out, there was one person I loved more than you...

"Then we should end this."

In between work and writing, when I have nothing to do, I prowl my 750 square-foot territory searching for anything out of order that I might clean. Downtime makes me oddly uncomfortable. Sometimes I stop to wonder why.
