some days, it feels distant to be a part of this world, to be a part of an ever flowing magic that works behind the scenes for no one to see but only wonder about. some days, it feels as though real magic is a fairytale away, a part of a land far far away from what he knows. some days, it feels as though magic isn’t a part of him, not the kind that he learns in school anyways. most days, he feels the magic on the ice, where he feels freer than a bird flying through the vast sky.

unlike many of his friends, sicheng doesn’t feel the parting ache in his fingertips when he sets his wand down, tucking it away into his locker before he makes his way to the rink. he doesn’t feel a worry seep into the layers of skin, nor does the fear of being unarmed settle into his bones as he walks further and further away from what is supposed to be an extension of himself. he never has felt those things.

but the feelings his friends and family describe to him are familiar - its what he feels when he’s been off the ice for too long, when he starts to forget the feeling of his blades gliding on ice, and the slightest wind pass him as he rounds the ice at high speeds right before a jump. so he can relate, just not entirely the same.

sometimes, late at night when he’s closed his eyes and see the reflection of ice behind in the darkness, or for a split second before his skates hit the ice for the first time in a while, sicheng wonders if he truly belongs in the wizarding world, if being a part of this school, this lifestyle, this population, if it’s really for him. sometimes, he feels as though he’s not a real wizard, that maybe he’s living on borrowed magic.

because the only time he truly feels magical is when he skates across newly smoothened ice, or right after he’s landed a quad, or when his blood thumps to the beat of his routine’s song. it’s in those moments he truly feels like himself, like he’s everything he’s supposed to be. maybe that’s why he’s so drawn to the ice, to the beauty and hard work, to the pain and thrill and challenge, to a lifestyle where he doesn’t have to rely on a flick of a wand that feel like a part of him.

There’s something calm in the early April wind, something that covers Donghyuck in a warmth so fierce he almost feels scorched. But it’s the good kind, definitely the good kind, because the fire that’s burning in his heart as he stares down the hill at his friends is pure joy so fierce it has to be love. An unconditional love for the people he considers a second family. 

In a whisk of blue and green and yellow, he watches as six other boys run to tackle each other in fits of giggles, their school uniforms covered in grass stains and mud from the slide down the hill. Donghyuck supposes it’s his turn for a nasty roll down the damp field, but the wind tells him to stand and watch, even for a short moment, to listen to the joy in the air, the high shrieks of Chenle running away from a mud throwing Jisung, the trills of a giggle so distinctly Mark there’s no denying it’s source, and the wind tells him to watch as well, take in the sunshine warmth from Jaemin’s eye-to-eye smile as he sits on top of Jeno like he’s on a throne, and Jeno’s crescent moons for eyes disappearing as he can’t seem to stop laughing at the way a twig sits in Mark’s hair. And it’s absolute chaos, but it’s Donghyuck’s chaos. And it’s about to turn a whole lot more chaotic as he makes his way down the hill with a fire burning in his chest a shit-eating grin on his face to join the other Dreamies.

scorpius headcanon

can yall just imagine a malfoy manner thats been completely revamped into a nice, normal, probably a bit more modern and upperclass home? Like the year before astoria dies, draco sets out to make the manner into her dream home. he closes off most of the mansion and the malfoys only live in lets say the east wing. and the inside of the east wing turns into a normal villa where Scorpius is raised like a normal boy in a normal (far more normal than the aristocratic shitfest lucius raised draco in) where Scorpius wakes up, trods downstairs and into the kitchen in nothing but his pjs and a tacky morning robe, and makes his own bowl of cereal because draco’s instructed the house elves to let them make breakfast and snacks on their own, oh my god i can’t deal like imagine scorpius with awful bed hair, platinum blond hair just poking up everywhere, and when draco comes down to join his son, he can’t help but simply roll his eyes and imagine how infurited lucius would be if he could see his grandson. oof and like scorpius is such a soft boy, and worlds happier than his father was growing up (they obvs have their own issues but stillllllllllll)

what feels like a century after they’ve graduated, doesn’t quite matter when they’re in a world so far away and so different from home. it feels like they’re eighteen again, like their relationship, blooming and thriving almost fifteen years overdue, is just an extension of their playful friendship back at school. taeyong feels young again. he feels like he can breathe fresh air and see the wonders of the world in a new light. he feels as though there are infinite possibilities for him to explore, to live for, and it’s only through the generosity and persistence of yuta he’s able to be thankful to be alive again.

here, in tokyo, taeyong’s living a life he never thought he would, spending days on end in bed, tangled in white sheets with a man he never knew he could love this much. it’s a new start, for the both of them, and yuta is delicate and forgiving of taeyong, like he doesn’t expect anything from him at all, like all that taeyong is is enough for him.

those are the thoughts that fill taeyong as he looks up at the camera, staring right at yuta who’s fascinated by this vintage technology. yuta’s smiling, small and sincere, like he’s afraid to ruin the magic of it all. but taeyong looks at the other like he’s the magic, the essence of what drives his happiness forward in life, the fairy dust that glitters in the warm sunlight from their large bedroom windows. for a moment, the sun hits yuta’s face perfectly, casting a golden sheen to the highs of his face, and taeyong breathes a sharp breath in.

yuta is beautiful, taeyong thinks. in every sense of the word, yuta is beautiful.

the light casts shadows down on his sheets from the barely shut curtains. the dark blue bedding looks lighter, more inviting than it usually does, with the warmth of the summer sun on it. golden hour. jeno realises that it must be nearing dinner time in that case, but that doesn’t do him much. he’s not getting out of bed any time soon, not with this broken ankle of his. hope buds in his chest for someone to remember him, maybe bring back a sandwich or two, but then he remembers how doyoung will come a little later with a whole meal, because that’s what big brothers do. 

but for now, jeno has to lie in his temporary bed and watch as quidditch practice is about to begin. it’s bittersweet that he gets a perfect view of the field from here; it keeps him entertained in the meanwhile, but he also wishes he was out there, roughhousing with the others. he watches as people in yellow and blue mount their brooms, marking the beginning to interhouse workshop that’s been in jeno’s calendar for months, and a pang of guilt hits him. if he only had been more careful, he’d be out there playing with some of his best mates, people he never really gets to practice with, possibly make new friends through the one activity he loves the most. but he’s stuck indoor on this beautiful day, only a witness to the zooming broomsticks and the faint glimmer of customised metal plates on brooms.

“stop looking like a kicked puppy,” startles jeno out of his daze, and quickly, the he switches out the sight of the quidditch field for his brother, a very welcomed view, as a matter of fact. especially when doyoung’s carrying what looks like a rather large slice of cheese pie. “you still have next year,” doyoung says with a softer smile, and jeno is glad for the sympathy, and the company.

“thanks,” jeno says under his breath as doyoung sets the plate down in his lap. “i’ll be more careful next time,” he looks up at doyoung, who’s rolling his eyes as he pulls a chair close to jeno’s bed.

“i’ll believe it when i see it.”

His fingers slowly graze upon the silk of his tie, feeling the intricate embroidered lily with the pads of his fingers. The raised design emits a feeling of melancholy in his chest, a small ache for a life he wished he could go back to. Jaemin thinks back to last year, when his sister had sown in the lily with her own two hands. It had been more than funny to watch her almost non-existent brows furrowing together in deep concentration.

The two of them had sat themselves in the parlour, their oldest pyjamas on and a teapot for them to share. raspberry it had been, if Jaemin remembers their house elf correctly. When he’d gotten to the end of a chapter in the book he’d been reading from his spot on the velvet couch, something made him turn to look at his older sister, watched as Rose, clad in a pale green school hoodie and bright pink sweatpants with her hair up in a messy bun and completely barefaced (something she’d never do at school), spent two hours to sow something that could easily be done in a matter of seconds with the flick of her wand.

“No, I wanted to make it myself,” she had sad when she was giving him the tie, a look of pride twinkling in her eyes, as if it were more important for Jaemin to have something truly homemade by her. And in a way it was. It is.

Jaemin sighs deeply, tucking his tie into his vest as he continues to ready himself for the day. There’s no reason to think about such melancholic themes, but he wears his tie with the blue lily almost every day, at least until rose gets better and can come home again. At least until then.

Hogwarts is filled with secrets, overflowing like someone’s poured a little too much hot water into their mug. Everyone has a secret of sorts, some shared, some personal, some minuscule, some monumental to the point of destruction. And even if he were to consider himself an honest man, a loyal and dedicated man to the truth and to what is right, Johnny, too, has secrets he does not want to reveal.

This revelation becomes apparent in the smallest of moments, when he sits on his broom, watching as the reds with golds and greens with silvers whisk past him at alarming rates yet, in one fraction of a moment, all he can think of is gelled blond hair between his fingers, soft, pillow like lips on his neck, and large, pale hands gripping his waist like the world depends on it. It’s only a fraction of a moment, but it’s enough to throw him off balance, to feel like his insides have churned like a brewing potion, and he thinks to himself how his secrets aren’t just for him to keep to himself, but also for the world of romance and integrity to dust away under the carpet for no one to see. A disgrace, of sorts, to the core of romance and love, because what he has with Sehun is nothing like that, far from that notion of romance, and that’s a secret he’d like to take to his grave if the world allows it.

Johnny Gordon Seo was born in Chicago to his muggle mother, Eleanor Kim, and Magical Zoologist father, Dongjin Gordon Seo, whom are both American born Koreans. He is an only child and is showered with love as a child in the US.

Appearance

Born with a tuff of mighty black hair, and with eyes deeper and darker than space, Johnny captivated many hearts as a young child. He does however bleach his hair into a more caramel colour every once in a while, for variation as he likes to say, and every time he does so, people fawn over him and his precious face. At Ilvermorny, his hair is long and in his face most of the time, and whenever he looks back at pictures from that time, he can't help but cringe. Thankfully, when he gets to Hogwarts, his hair is cut and neater, even though it's still in his hair. In his last year of school, he gets an undercut that shakes the entire school, and even years after, people talk about the drop dead gorgeous caramel locks and undercut from that one graduation party where Johnny was the DJ.

Johnny is of S. Korean descent from both sides of the family, and is multilingual, however he isn't a hundred percent comfortable speaking korean. He spends almost every summer travelling to S.K. for a couple of weeks to see his relatives, as his parents are very close with the rest of the family, and hence knows quite a bit about his heritage and distant family.

Up until Johnny's sixth year at school, he's kept his fashion and style very casual. He walks around in his Gryffindor sweater and sweatpants or basketball pants more often than you'd think, and doesn't really care for anything beyond comfort. He does dress a bit better, aka jeans and a graphic tee, when he has to, but it isn't until halfway through sixth year he develops an inkling towards fashion. When he comes home from the winter break, he looks sharper and is following more fashion related things on instagram. In seventh year he looks classy for the most part, even his unifrom is a bit more crisp and there's a little more care in the way he ties his tie or keeps his shoes clean.

Personality

Johnny has one of the most outgoing personalities in Gryffindor. He is always kind and sparks up conversations with people he doesn't know, just to talk to people and maximise his time socially. He isn't the biggest on partying, however no one really cares considering Johnny is really chill and funny, and vibes with everyone he meets. He doesn't care about class, blood, or house, and not even about age, and will gladly help out wherever he can.

As a Gryffindor, Johnny is one of the bravest, but in the sense where he feels a responsibility to do what he has to do without complaint. Johnny feels responsibility as an older student to help out, and does so regardles of the task. He feels duty is just as important as kindness, and never backs down from an agreement or from a task. He isn't as arrogant as many initially assume, and isn't much for boasting about what he's achieved. He is however very prideful, albeit not so verbally.

Flare is a Golden Owl native to the Americas. He's a young bird Johnny aquired right before transfering to Hogwarts. The owl was no more than a few months old, which means that the bond created as Johnny raised the young bird is very strong. Johnny has watched as Flare has grown from a small little thing into a big owl, bigger than most in the owlry. There's a special, protective bond between the two of them that Johnny cherishes. It's also fun knowing Flare isn't the sharpest owl at school, but what he lacks in smarts he makes up for in loyalty.

Johnny was always considered the 'untouchable boy' at school, in which countless of people had crushes on him, blatantly flirted with him, and tried to get with him in various ways. The amount of letters he received on Valentine's Day could cover his entire bed in a large pile.

Despite his popularity, he never really dated during his time at Hogwarts. However, his last year was filled with an on-again-off-again hookup thing with Sehun Wiblin that never seemed to lead anywhere.

Moving away from Hogwarts, his university life became a little different. He didn't enter any relationships, had no intention of doing so either, and kept all of his hookups and friends-with-benefits casual, mostly to not get hurt.

Johnny forced himself to learn how to live life like a suavey bachelor, owning the 'untouchable' title. He's often the one with a string of lovers following him.

It isn't until a large scale business trip to Peru his bachelor lifestyle is turned around. During the trip, he meets with an old school mate, Ten Verhagen, and after around a year of being friends, they start a fullblown relationship.

Misc

Johnny studies at Ilvermorny until he decides to switch to Hogwarts at the age of 13.

At Ilvermorny he was pretty wild and he was very impressionable.

He hates the long distance travelling he has to do during the holidays. Port-keys have a tendency to make him very sick.

In year 5, at Hogwarts, he decides to try out for the Quidditch team and makes it as the reserve Keeper. However, it's only in his last year he gets to play main Keeper for Gryffindor, which he isn't too mad about.

Every summer, he spends about 2 weeks at home in Chicago before he and his family port-key to South Korea for another 2 weeks. He loves spending time with his extended family, especially when he's a little older and can babysit the younger cousins and play with them.

In his seventh year, he tutors a younger gryffindor boy, Jaehyun Jeffrey.

Johnny attends Wizarding Business School in New York (NY WizBiz) to study applied Economics with an International Business focus.

He returns to Hogwarts for a little while in his second year of University to work with the world leading Economics and Accounting Academic Siwon Choi who is a professor at Hogwarts.
