The wet grass stuck to the girls bare feet as she ran. Her dark hair had been messily undone, and was now rapidly flying behind her, dancing with the breeze. Her dress had been torn and frayed, but it was the least of her worries. .

She longed for the arms of her lover, and she ran in a race against time to feel his embrace once more, for that was all she would get. One more kiss, one more smile, and one more 'I love you'

Her father had found out about her secret romance with the prince of the neighboring kingdom, whith which they were at war.

A group of soldiers were sent for his head.

Her feet hit the ground in the same rhythm of her heat beating in her chest, longing for his scent. She pushed herself to run after, ignoring the burning sensation that coursed through her body. 'Faster.' She demanded to herself.

When she saw him she stopped. It almost felt unreal. There he stood, near the edge of the cliff, an exhausted look in his eyes. War would do that to a person. The moon shone beautifully behind him but she could only focus on his eyes.

Without missing a beat, she ran to him, pushing them both over the edge. He wrapped his arms around her and whispered in her ear ever so delicately, 'I love you.'

Their bodies hit the water with a splash, and they were never heard from again.

I hate this but I'm gonna post it anyway. It's been a hot minute.

A groan here, a whine there, all subtle hints you were throwing at your currently oblivious boyfriend that you were in no state to get out of bed.

Sero chuckled at your mannerisms, leaving you to glare at him. "Hey Sero, can you grab me the thermometer? Please?"

He was weak when it came to your soft, pleasing voice. Sometimes it bothered him, when you used it to your advantage, but alas, he complied.

After about 60 seconds of waiting, you pulled the thermometer from your mouth, gaping when you read the screen. '109°'

For the rest of the day, you layed as comfortably as possible, given your current state, as your living boyfriend took care of you. You smiled as he placed a cool, wet washcloth over your forehead.

"Thank you." You said softly. You were extremely grateful for the relationship the two of you shared. He only smiled and nodded, leaving a kiss on your cheek.

Hours passed and you felt your stomach rumble. You must've been hungry, because even Sero heard it.

He chuckled and asked, "Want some soup?" To which you nodded in reply.

Sero walked carefully into your room, a steaming bowl in his hands. You gladly took it from him and took a bite. You did what you could to keep your face from contorting in disgust. This was worse than awful.

"Sero? This is... Well, its honestly.." You found yourself unable to tell him what you really thought about the soup he worked so hard on.

"Its bad, isnt it?" He asked, making a worried face. You both knew that Seroncould not cook to save his life.

You nodded, feeling bad. After a second of looking at eachother, you both burst out laughing. You set the soup down on the side table. And hugged him.

"Thank you love. You didnt have to do all of this."

"Of course. I love you, and I hate seeing you sick."

Some small chatter here and there, and soon you had fallen asleep in his arms. You were just glad you didnt throw up on him.
