Some of the key art I made for my youtube video discussing Magnificus as the "weakest link" in the otherwise perfect game, Inscryption. The video goes over everything in more detail, but to be concise: I argue that Magnificus is an afterthought, and that everything from his character design all the way down to his deck gimmick and mechanics are out-of-tune with the rest of the game.

Obviously this isn't a super serious critique, because I think Inscryption is a masterpiece! I show love to things by critically analyzing them, and seeing how wonderful this game was really inspired me to study it! Card designs explained below the cut!

I redesigned Magnificus' cards to rely near-exclusively on a stacking mechanic, with their own variety of special sigils.

I made these sigils and that video prior to playing Kaycee's Mod, but I still think a lot of the ideas present here can still coexist within the realm of Inscryption's Mechanics. Basically, whenever a card would another card behind if it perishes, I swapped those mechanics out with stacking and added more to the concept afterwards (like pokemon or digimon).

All of the Golem Cards can now be stacked atop their respective moxes and they also bear my "topdown" sigil, so when they are defeated the moxes remain on the board intact. I added some new Golem cards as well: The Sapphire and Emerald Golem to campanion the Ruby Golem. Unlike the Ruby Golem which is meant to be a high power value card, the other two have weaker values but carry unique sigils which I elaborate more on the video. I also gave each Golem an additional stacked card called "Rubier, Sapphirer, or Emeralder" Golems. And of course, I made a fusion of them all called "Mox Titan".

Then, I also designed some magicians to redo the mechanic. I have the Apprentice Wizard who replaces the Junior Sage and can be played with any mox color. It can then be used to play any of the other magicians here, the Blue Orb Slinger, The Ponderer, the Junk Magician, and the Blood Witch. I explain all of them in slightly more detail in my video. The Blood Witch is my favorite: she has the "many lives" sigil and can be sacrificed repeatedly.

Anywho yeah that's it for that! I still have some ideas for Inscryption related work in the future.

A slightly redesigned Magnificus for a conceptual youtube video I made. Obviously I don't really think that Magnificus "needed" a redesign, but I argue that he is the weakest link in an otherwise perfect game, so I figured I would take a shot at it!

I explain all of my inspirations in the video, but in short, this redesign is inspired by cephalopods and lovecraftian horror! I realize after the fact that it also resembles characters from the Splatoon Franchise, which I also love!

This game probably changed my life. The Four Scrybes of Inscryption! I drew these for a video essay where I explain what I believe to be the game's "weakest link". Don't get me wrong, this game is basically perfect, I just noticed something I thought would be worth pointing out!

The first four of my "Severance x Persona" AU concept starring Macrodata Refinement. I'll explain myself in explicit detail later.

My plan is to tease them all out and give them properly fleshed entries like my first one here with Mark, but something came up preventing that from happening at the moment! Until I'm able to proceed with that, I figured I would put them all up at once for now to share as opposed to keeping everyone waiting!

This is meant to be a simple concept I thought was interesting. I would definitely like to do more serious interpretations of these concepts in the future but one thing at a time. For now, please enjoy, let me know what you think, and consider following me for more? Thanks!

Hello, I'm a professional artist with two art degrees. I do all kinds of work. Consider following me here or anywhere else.

My absolute goal as an independent artist is to create my own graphic novels, games, and stories. I also like doing murals and selling my products at conventions, shows, and art spaces.

I'm also interested in working with other artists as well but this is not like, a burning priority for me.

I like to make mostly original work, but every now and then I may make some fan art. If I make fan art of something that means I really like it in some way.

My pronouns are they/them. I'm 27 years old.

This blog is actually a side blog! My primary account blog and sketch blog is @raineworker. I'm interested in following fellow artists who work on OCs or enjoy similar things that I do, but I prefer following art blogs that focus mostly on art! I'm here for art first, foremost, and strictly.

I don't make a lot of fan art but I liked this show so much it inspired into a fun idea. Macrodata Refinement as Persona Users, starting naturally with Mark S. I started working on them all at once but I'll upload them as I finish them and feel like it etc. I won't go too much into lore details here but basically imagine Severance if it was a 4 person party turn based JRPG with magic and the works.

Hi folks! I've officially launched my kickstarter for my art project! For a whopping $15 YOU can own an originally designed deck of playing cards full of unique suits, court cards, aces, and jokers backed by a unique theme I call "Celestial Forms"!

I appreciate any support. I designed and illustrated all of the art myself, and outsourced the typography from my friend!

I'm still really pleased by this. I put a whole foot into it (and a gigabyte or so of work too, tbh). The two guys behind me are my ocs. I draw/represent myself a little differently now so I look forward to redoing it again for 2025.

Hi Tumblr.

I opened up this blog at the beginning of the year (2024) in hopes of getting back into a groove of uploading and sharing art. Then while I was setting up and getting ready, the site openly and proudly pronounced that it was shaking hands with artificial intelligence, so I dipped. I lurked on cohost for a little while trying to decide what the best course of action was but since that site's going up I figured I would give tumblr another shot. I spend most of my time on instagram but we all know that tumblr has been and always will be the spot to go for niche art. I still greatly dislike AI but if it's not deterring some of the artists I like then I won't let it deter me (for now).

I want to make a living as an artist. This blog and any other I make on this website are an attempt to do just that. I have projects in the works and aspirations for a better future for myself. Tumblr has always been one of my favorite platforms, so I'm hoping I can make this work like in the days of old.
