#zfpTreasureHunt Clue#7 At long last, we’ve finally arrived here. We really believed we’d find The Smile of the Silver Willows here. As you can clearly see, we are not at the Acropolis. My source and I were very confident the treasure would not be in the actual premises of the Acropolis - too many people, too many prying eyes, too much damage to the magic. We were correct in coming to this hill, the highest in the area, that has a direct view of the Acropolis. It is unbelievable to me still, that the actual treasure isn't here - but it was here, and we found proof! In the temple on top, we found an etched stone slab hidden under the stairs. Magical accounts of the journey and memories of the Silver Willows and indications of where the treasure was going to be. I've been confounded ever since. Where this will send us is where everything began. How could I have missed this? We are on our way now, as hurriedly as possible, to The True North, Strong and Free. It will be cold, but we know the Mounties will welcome us. And right before leaving the hill, I saw some faces that were familiar - other hunters! We need to get to the treasure this time, THE FINAL LOCATION, before it vanishes. And we need to get there before others. There can only be one winner! ------------------------------ 1. #zfpTreasureHunt CLUE#6 It’s been an emotional week. I am now in a small Dutch city at the southern tip of the Netherlands, known for its beautifully preserved medieval-era architecture and a vibrant culture scene. I’m staring at the Maas river that bisects this beautiful city in two. A sense of deep nostalgia haunts me. Long story short, our trip to Rotterdam was very effective. And our source decided to visit Berlin for additional info. We are now very confident where to go for, what we believe will be, our final destination. We needed to come to this small city before the endgame however, to collect an old memory charm that might give us an advantage over any guardians of the treasure. What we see in this photo is the narrow cobbled path we walked this morning. The final destination, if we are not too late, should be in the land where some of the most prominent of ancient mythologies originated. The great empire before the Roman empire. #zfpTreasureHunt Clue №5 From one volcano to another. Our source came with us to Sicilia. You can clearly see in the photo, the tallest active volcano in all of Europe, and the largest in Italy. Our initial goal was to go up there and home in on The Silver Willows’ trace. Collect magical stone artifacts as well. But we stopped here, at this hilltop town, just northeast of the massive volcano. Our logic was wrong. The Silver Willows was never here. We came the wrong way. Long story short, we have decided that since we lost our trail at a crucial moment, we will go to a place where we know we can get some help. We are going to the second largest city in the Netherlands - not to admire its modern architecture or visit the harbours - to talk to the willow trees themselves. -------------------------- 1. #zfpTreasureHunt [clue4] And there it is - the mighty, the prolific, the historical Vesuvius, shrouded in clouds! We made it to the ancient site of Pompeii a few days ago, and it was a productive excursion. We picked up the scent again - The Silver Willows was there. And since Pompeii is well-known throughout the treasure hunting community, and the antiquities community, and the magical historian community, it was no surprise that we picked up some good intel! Now we are in a major Italian port city, just west of Vulcano Vesuvio, waiting for our source to meet us again. We are supposed to meet at the Spanish Quarters, and then we are heading down south together - to the famous Italian south, the island region where the Corleone family comes from in The Godfather. ---------------- 1. #zfpTreasureHunt After arriving in Roma, we had some interesting interactions. The magic of The Silver Willows was lingering all over the city, but it was the strongest near the central train station. We walked around the blocks of the station neighbourhood, and found ourselves inside the courtyard of a traditional apartment complex - staring at this! It is a warlock’s tunnel, long been destroyed and covered up. But the Silver Willows hid a clue here… We need to head to the ancient city-cite that got wiped out by the famous volcano. I can feel it. It was a hot summer day and this city had lots of places outdoors to sit under the shade and cool down. I loved walking around the canals and through the green parks in the middle of the city. The main attraction was the riverside near the the old town though. This place truly felt magical. Even though we were there at high noon, it was an amazing vibe with all the restaurants, patios, and outdoor lounges lining the river bank, cruise boats and intercity connection ferries beckoning, and a cool breeze refreshing our spirits.
