Idea: Pit Babe High School AU

Where Babe is obviously the popular jock who is trying to get everyone-loves-him class clown Charlie to return his feelings. Emotionally stunted, Babe does the typical BL trope of betting and winning against Charlie in something, making Charlie his page boy/servant for a couple of months (so he can live out his babygirl dreams) and putting Charlie through various embarrassing and romantically suggestive situations.

Except before Babe can suggest anything, Charlie suggests it first and then loses on purpose. Charlie thoroughly enjoys every situation Babe throws at him and circumvents Babe's grand plan by being flirtatious and suggestive himself. Babe suspects Charlie threw the match and is both enraged and endeared and they become the most nauseating couple in the school, bickering over who really pursued who.

Also, with a jealousy sub-plot, because Charlie is very protective and caring over some random younger schoolmate who Babe doesn't realise is Charlie's foster brother until he teams up with his senior, Alan, to 'break them up'.

Jeff is basically a genius and is taking advanced classes with last-year student Alan who keeps trying to get into all of his group assignments. Jeff is so unimpressed with him that Alan must have him. Cue a little push and pull between Jeff and Alan because damn it, dimples and romance are Jeff's weakness.

Kim is Babe's bestie and they have a very good-natured rivalry for whatever sport they are in, if one isn't MVP it is the other (Alan is their sport senior) but really Kim is only following Babe home after school everyday because he wants to flirt with Babe's grumpy, older brother. Kenta has the sickest collection of swords Kim has ever seen and if he keeps trying, he knows one day he'll wear down Kenta's defenses.

Unfortunately for Kim, Kenta just thinks Kim is making fun of him, the school's quiet weirdo, and he has his heart set on classmate Pete, who is the personifcation of a dumb puppy energy wrapped up in a very hot package. Kenta starts working out in the same gym as Pete and Kim's heart (and other parts) cannot handle the glow-up.

Pete, oblivious to Kenta, is trying to get over his failed confession with his online video game friend who ghosted him. Pete obsesses so hard he finds an old grainy display pic and is ecstatic to realise that aScientificEnigma22 is the new transfer student from the US. The only problem is that his identical twin transferred as well and now Pete has to figure out if he is in love with Way or Chris and how to make the right one fall in love with him without revealing they have already rejected him once before (see: dumb).

Chris thinks everyone are idiots. Way, of course, gets a bit of a crush on Babe. Potentially pissing off Charlie and Kim (challenge to BFF status/ sports position) in equal measure or not. It definitely makes Pete panic, because what if it is Way? But also, what if he is Chris? Neither of them have owned up to playing video games.

North and Sonic are fresh recruits in the same sport as Kim, Babe, and Alan. They've been best friends since they were in diapers and sit on the bench eating popcorn as the drama unfolds around them, pointing and laughing at the antics and stupidity of their sport seniors, confident that they would never make the same mistakes even as they hop around each other not discussing feelings.

Unbeknownst to them, their feelings are so obvious to everyone that Kim, Babe and Alan (and boyfriends) get fed up and they make up a fake sports camp just so they can get NorthSonic to share one bed and when that fails (because duh, they've had sleepovers for ages) they lock the pair in a walk-in closet and yell scripted confessions through the door until NorthSonic emerge as boyfriends.

This could also be a college au I guess - or any setting that forces them to interact regularly.

OP makes a good point, I didn't question it either.

But now I'm building a camp for: Get-Shit-Done-Kim Min Su knows how to do anything because everything is easy when you just think it through. Governmental approval/permission is optional and only relevant when he feels like being compliant.

The way I did not question that Kim would be able to operate a crane. Yeh he clearly got his large machinery licence in Korea while he was learning racing and fighting and cooking, no biggie.

On Pete becoming Tony...

I wanted to re-blog this with the post talking about Pete turning into Tony on his way to defeat him but I lost it and at first I was like, this is cool and I could see it, evil!Pete is such a good idea especially if he thinks he is doing good because there is so much good creative juices in that stuff.

But then I was washing the dishes and my brain started whispering this is why Kenta, Way and Chris are all attracted to Pete.

All 3 were trying to find some semblance of a Tony-replacement/ acceptance/ approval in their lives and they. all. gravitated. to. Pete.

Because he is similar but 'better'.

It also explains why Chris is the only one that can walk away because once he got the truth, he got closure and whatever acceptance Pete could offer (read: dick) wasn't enough to throw away self-respect for.

I think this was the first time Babe got ignored by someone because the angry cat looks he kept giving Charlie after day two (which he spent drinking his liver off, and crashing out)..

Kim was onscreen for LESS THAN THIRTY SECONDS this episode and he already figured out Tony's super secret evil plan to send Alan in as a spy. Alan literally only just made his deal with Tony, and Kim takes one look at him and figures it out!!!

KIM IS SIMPLY TOO POWERFUL FOR MORE SCREENTIME THAN THIS

S1 all over again where they had to kidnap him and drag him offscreen bc he was taking a sledgehammer to the "let's keep secrets and slowly uncover this alpha trafficking plot" that everyone else was doing and he would have completely taken over the story if given the chance.

They have to split Kim and Kenta apart bc otherwise they would have Tony killed and his ashes divided and locked in separate boobytrapped tombs all over the planet before the rest of X-Hunter figured out their interpersonal drama.

And I will sit here and wait for my KimKenta spinoff bc Kim was not joking around when he said he was born to be a main character. Plot sticks to this man like fucking glue.

These, interceded with scenes of Babe taking care of comatose/memory-loss-emotionally-distant Charlie, because I think showing progress for the others would add to the heartbreak of the main pairing being in limbo:
