So I'll admit I'm not super familiar with veldian terminology, but I find it so absolutely brain fucking when I see people say veldian/turian is the (masculine) equivalent to lesbian as if being veldian/turian is inherently masculine and being lesbian is inherently feminine. I know it isn't intentional, but something about it reminds me of lipstick lesbian anti butch terf rhetoric. Some people in this community just really hate nuance and are really stuck on this male female, masculine feminine binary. As a lesbian I feel inclined to talk about this. Queer identity is so incredibly nuanced, it's queer. I think the best shorthand way to describe lesbian is probably queer attraction to women, but I still think it's more nuanced. I don't think lesbian needs a definitive all encompassing definition because it's a very nuanced identity. Also just saying especially as a pangender lesbian/lesboy I really hate the whole non-men loving non-men thing. Anyway calling veldian/turian the masculine version of lesbian is just so ridiculous to me and I had to talk about it. Also If you try to argue exclusionist lesbian discourse in the replies I'm just going to delete it by the way. Genuine good faith questions and critique are welcomed.

Living and being a gender outside of exclusive man and woman is an impossibility to binary gendered people. You always see non-binary depictions in media be overwhelmingly non human characters, when someone is non-binary they are described as unhuman. It is a matter of objectification of genders outside the binary convention as they are seen as impossible to achieve in a such a heavily binarised world.

I had a friend who, upon learning I'm non-binary, started calling me genderless or things like 'gender: eldritch being'. Which is definitely affirming for some people, but not for me! I very much have a gender and it's neutral. Not incomprehensible. Not 404. Neutral. It's very normal, actually. You can talk about my gender the way you'd talk about anyone else's, actually.

yeah, it's one thing when people describe their own gender like that, but when someone else does it it just feels like a way to dehumanise us and framing our genders as inherently abnormal.

A few years back my grandparents and I wanted to see a gynecologist for reasons, I was under 18, but every gynecologist that worked with minors refused to take trans boys. I haven't had a single bit of medical transition unless you count birth control. I have a vagina and boobs. Everything about my body is female but I was denied care because my hair was short and I had a deeper voice.

And when I tried explaining this to a transphobe they went "Well yeah they don't want mentally ill people"

My exclusion was based off of me being too masculine. Y'know, the thing that transandrophobes claim doesn't exist?

Gender creativity and gender creatives will never not be beautiful in my opinion. I feel that xenogenderism, systems such as the galactic alignment system and the creation of new ways for enben to describe ourselves both in and out of relation to the binary is the forefront of queer gender abolitionism and individual binary deconstruction. It's wonderful to see that we are taking metaphors for gender, just like binary people, but we are running wild with them. It's queering gender, it's removing the seriousness of it, it's wholly enbiness. It's fully binary nonconforming. That is what being gender queer is all about.

i've seen a few posts talking about the common transmasc stereotype of: "he/they soft boy who likes cavetown"

i dislike this stereotype as much as anyone else, but i still think we should respect those who do fall into this stereotype. most people who identify with this are young queer teens who are trying to just live their lives.

a lot of transmascs gravitate towards cavetown's music because there's not many other artists or communities with people like us. especially one's as welcoming and usually positive as the one created by cavetown and his fans.

Hey, a blog I used to follow (nonbinary support) reblogged a post talking about how “trans men are the men of trans people” and I really advise all of y’all to stay away from them. It scared me, because I’ve been following them for some time, and they’re supposed to be for nonbinary support. You cannot support nonbinary people while also being transandrophobic. You can’t. I unfollowed them, and will probably block them like I did with another blog, a popular sex ed blog, and I’d really advise y’all to do the same. Trans men are men, but they are NOT privileged over other groups because of them being TRANS MEN. Nobody is privileged for being trans!

By being trans, by going against how society sees you. Because guess what, not every trans person is going to transition, not every trans person fully removes themself from their "AGAB", not every trans person sees their transition as going from one side to the other.

Transgender is just a made up word just like every other word. It's a label you're supposed to use to help describe your experience, not another way to force others to conform.

Besides, AGAB language is completely useless when it is incredibly flawed. It just tells you what letter they put on your birth certificate and that is determined by your primary, secondary and beyond sexual characteristics. Guess what, not everybody's sexual characteristics fit, not everybody's "AGAB" fits them at all. Why? Because it's a pointless binary category based off of small minded individuals who think nature draws in straight lines and has a very simplified version of reality in this minds.

Also stop ignoring Intersex folks just because we don't fit your narrative and we're making you confront your own intersexism.
