The discourse about shipping antinous and telemachus is not, should not and probably will never be (imo) that big of a deal. I completely understand not shipping it, being uncomfortable with it, and seeing it, however sending death threats to the artist who started this is unacceptable. And I think people; especially newer members of fandom spaces need to understand that fandom will fandom regardless if it's 100% wholesome, sfw, or non problematic or not.

Antinous is an awful person, no cookie cutting that, however if you think that being a awful person in fiction means that that character(s) should/will never be loved, related to, liked, or shipped with anyone in their story, then I'm sorry but then maybe fandom spaces aren't something you should be in yet. Another important thing; antinous is a fictional character, yes his actions can be real(which can be said about every characters actions) he himself is not.

This purity mindset in regards to fandom and using it as an end all be all morality compass isn't healthy. While someone's media preferences can be a small insists it isn't 100% their good/bad, cuz if that was true mlp fans are completely innocent and Hannibal fans are sycophantic cannibals.

Also can we stop using our own preferences for media has how people should write or create? "I don't like X I this is" perfectly vaild, and someone else liking x doesn't mean you're wrong, or their wrong, two things can be true at the same time, I personally don't like the chosen hero x secret goddess dynamic, I think it's overplayed but I know people who love it, and you wanna know what I do?

In conclusion fandom spaces should be fandom spaces and people are allowed to explore problematic dynamics and ships, use your own moral compass and decided if something in a fandom is for you, key word; you! Not your friends, your follows, your cat, just you

Alright, so I love voltron that's not a secret or wowing right? I love the show(for the most part) I loooove the characters, the universe, the charm of it, even the kinda creepy mice(I'm sorry they look like those off brand cute then evil furrbies) but ya know what I don't love? The 2018 voltron apocalypse that happened on this app and was so bad it crossed over to other apps, the fanbase at the time was really traumatic for me cuz I just recently at the time starting contributing in fandoms, like writing fics and all that. And I really wanted to share that, but after voltron ended and so many people from the fanbase and outside of it started coming out of the woodwork and spitting so much negativity into the show. I tried to keep going but just kinda stopped after awhile

The reason I'm writing this is cuz It's been a long ass minute since then, and I've rewriten the voltron fic I started since that, I actually really like what I've done with it. I know for all 2 people who actually wanted to see more of that hot mess (I know for a fact that draft I released into the world is ass don't even try😂) probably want to know if I'll pick it up again and honestly? Most likely, I really don't want this to be left in my drafts forever. So over this summer I really want to get something out but we'll see

I (16m) am a highschool student in Shibuya (I won't say where for privacy reason) and recently a new student arrived a few months ago. For the sake of clarity I'll call him him 'y' (m16)

From the start y was very friendly towards everyone, teachers, other students and even strangers. Through I've noticed that many don't seem to like him (I think the older teachers have something to do with it, but that's another story) along with being friendly, y is also down to earth, humble, compassionate, funny (even if his jokes are corny), loves animals (i have two dogs so that's a immediate plus) and attractive with two identical birthmarks under his eyes. Y and I became friends also immediately after he inrolled and have hung out regularly, along with our other friend 'n' (f16) and things between us have been good, great I think.

I started to realize I had romantic feelings for him about two or so months ago. We were watching a movie and while we were talking one of my dogs was laying on his lap and y was petting him. I jokingly asked him if he was only friends with me because of my dogs.

Y laughed but then said "of course not. I love hanging out with you, your really cool and I like watching movies with you, your presence is also really calming. Your super smart too" then he laughed and went back to watching the movie

Ever since then I've wanted to ask him out but i don't know if he feels the same about me or if he's just like that with everyone. N says I'm being stupid and should just ask him out, but what do you guys think? Should I? Y is really sweet and I like him a lot but I don't want to make things awkward.

"Keith I'm home," Eun-ha calls out. Closing and locking the door behind her. She looks around to if her son is anyway in her immediate view. After waiting for a response eun-ha walks further house.

It's been a few weeks since they moved into their new home in the desert, And a few months since thace had left. Eun-ha sighs, It wasn't that Keith hadn't been taking the sudden move well, in fact he was enjoying the quiet and the open space to play as he pleased.

But she would've liked it more if he was with them, would've loved seeing thace and Keith run and explore through the near by caves until they were covered in sand.

Which is probably what Keith is doing now.

'An explorer just like his dad' eun-ha thought fondly.

But the pitter patter of her sons feet coming from his bedroom proved otherwise.

"Mom! Your back. Awesome cuz I have something to show you" Keith was bouncing with excitement.

Eun-ha had to mentally prepare herself, the last time Keith wanted to show her something. It was a large lizard he managed to somehow catch.

"Well let's see now, whatcha got to show me?," Eun-ha knelt down to Keith's height.

Keith hesitates for a moment before handing her a drawing. Keith always loved drawing and was already surprisingly talented for his age.

'An artist, just like his mom' she can almost hear thace say.

"Aww Keith, thank yo.. " eun-ha trails off. Staring at the picture she sees something, or rather someone he hasn't drawn before today.

The drawing shows a man; or more accurately a humanoid cat. That's bearing a very familiar appearance.

"Oh.. Who's this Hun? A fury friend of yours?"

"Someone I see in my dreams sometimes, he's really cool looking! Do you like it?" Keith looks at his mom with anticipation.

Eun-ha looks at the drawing of her husband. Aside from some minor differences, it's accuratcy is also spooky.

"I love it Keith, thank you" eun-ha pulls Keith into a hug. After a moment pulls away enough to look at him. "Let's go hung it on my board shall we?"

Keith shines a smile and laughs as she picks up.

The same toothy smile and contagious laugh that she's heard before. The laugh she loved to tickle out and the smile she fell in love with.

damian - helps cook every time unprompted unless told not to, has deemed the kitchen sacred and will not reach for the kitchen knives (warning: this does not mean he doesn’t have any of his personal knives on hand)

tim - doesn’t cook but will if forced/bribed to, only mildly chars things on occasion (warning: if you want tim to make you something specific have blackmail you’re willing to give up)

people who aren’t allowed in the kitchen unsupervised:

steph - can only make mac n cheese and waffles alone, has short circuited the toaster 5 times and broken the microwave door (warning: if you find purple food dye at any visible point in the kitchen tell alfred immediately)

cass - will only bake cookies and serve them as meals, does not comprehend the aspect of cooking, will make her own rules

duke - has and will miss measure something which will subsequently create a science experiment (see: the 2 tblsp of salt incident)

people who are permanently banned from the kitchen:

dick - will actively turn cooking into a science class on purpose, has and will blow up the kitchen (see: confetti cake marmalade acid incident)

bruce - cannot cook for the life of him swear to god the man lights water on fire do not let him lay a single cursed finger on any surface past the dining room

side notes:

if alfred says he is making waffles immediately get jason. does not matter how you do it, he is your only hope.

if you hear tim screaming in the kitchen don’t go check on him. everything is fine, screaming just makes him feel like he has a sense of control. he will get over it in 30 seconds.

vegetarian alternatives will always be made on damians behalf. you will less likely be threatened at knife point if you ask what he would like.

If you hear fergie or britney spears anywhere in the manor there is a 90% chance of dick being in the kitchen. get him out.
