Lately, I've been finding inspiration in the weirdest of places. From department stores to my own shower, I've been noticing colors more and more. I made a decision to start snapping a quick picture on my phone to look back at later when I see something that I think I can possibly use for graphic design, and it's proved to be quite useful. I found this group of towels at a department store while shopping and my first thought was that I could use the color scheme for my next design adventure. I took a picture (as shown) and opened it later in Photoshop and devised a color scheme from the picture. A few days later, I did the same thing upon seeing some interestingly colored items in my shower. I'm not sure if it's the designer in me that's viewing the world differently or if it's just the colors jumping out at me, but whatever it is, it's certainly been helping me come up with better color schemes without having to sit and think about it for a long amount of time. For me, I sometimes struggle with knowing what colors to use at the start of a project, but how much more helpful is it if I pull my color-inspiration from the every-day world around me? I'm excited to find more and more colors to pull in and begin using for design!
