Just saw a comment on the comic page where Ozai and Ursa see Azula firebend for the first time, saying that "Ozai was a good father to Azula" and like... No??? She was the golden child. The sole reason he treated her "well" was because she was talented and could be used as a tool, unlike what he thought of Zuko. If she wasn't as good or, Agni forbid, was a nonbender, there would be nothing redeemable about her in his eyes.

It always pisses me off when people paint their relationship as Ozai loving Azula. He doesn't love her, he doesn't even respect her, she is worth nothing to him beyond how she can serve his goals. His "love" is purely conditional (even Azula knows this to some degree) and to me that's the biggest sign it's not real.

Honestly can't get over the three springs quests, in that link and hylia held multiple, actual conversations, where hylia asked him to check on the mother statue, he explained the situation, and she thanked him and asked for a dragon piece again, that the offering might boost her power and she could send it through to the big statue. That, and the bargainer statue possessing her plateau statue, implies a really weird relationship between hylia and her idols.

Like anyone listening to link about it would be like,

Making a yiling patriarch wei wuxian playlist is so difficult to me. I'm trying to strike the balance between "trigger happy girlboss" songs and "slowly going insane due to the weight of duty and responsability" songs and i'm happy with my choices individually but not sure how to organize it. If someone has that type of playlist pls drop the name.

So like... Do we have any idea on why the fuck link can just talk to Hylia? And statues in general??? Is he supposed to be able to do that? Is it a thing he could always do or does it have to do with his resurrection? Does Zelda know about it and is she kind of pissed when she finds out since the goddess never answered her fucking prayers?

Personally it'd be really funny to me if post coma Link assumed that's just a thing anyone can do. I like to think that at some point he just starts having casual conversations when he sees the statues, because he feels weird only talking to her when he has spirit orbs and wants something, and casually drops in a conversation with Zelda or Impa or Purah that "Hylia said xyz". Cue shock and disbelief plus the scientific method.

Also the angst potential. Zelda finds out and she's trying not to be bitter about it but why does Hylia respond to Link so easily when she never got anything for all of her desperation and effort? Did the goddess just choose to not give a single word of guidance? Does she have something against her specifically?

The Oh Hellos is underrated as it is but i feel like even the fans don't talk enough about some songs. Soldier Poet King was the first one i listened but Exeunt and Thus Always to Tyrants were what hooked me into the band properly and the fact that i barely see people talk about them is disgraceful.

My heart's all topsy-turvy over how The Amazing Devil can be so funny and playful in such unexpected places. Right in the middle of songs where they're putting your heart through the wringer, suddenly there's a joke or a pun. Just now I was on the verge of tears from the ache in Madeleine's voice in Chords when she sings, "Please—don't do this—my heart is breaking," only to be knocked right off the edge by Joey "forgetting" the words ("Ah, fucking bastard, what is it?").

But it doesn't take away from the emotional impact. You're laughing, there's a release of tension, then they hit right back with the full force of their intention to tear your heart out. Like in Farewell Wanderlust with the pun they slipped right in (heh) just before setting the whole damn song on fire, then throwing it off the cliff of catharsis. They're just—they're just playing with our emotions, that's what they're doing, and I don't even mind because they're doing it so masterfully. I'll put my heart in their hands any time.

Opened fanfiction.net for the first time in centuries and I didn't think it would be that bad but like... I guess I forgot how much reader insert and author insert and mary sues there were? And it's also weirdly straight? Not only that but I looked up percy jackson fics because there are a lot of them in particular and If you sort them by number of favorites there's SO many of them pairing Percy with Artemis and Zoe Nightshade?

Like I'm usually not one to criticize ships, I love shipping things that will never happen but Rick writes a million characters you could pair Percy with and you go for the ones who want nothing to do with men? Like Artemis? The virgin goddess who Aphrodite herself has "no power" over??? The original arrow-ace?????
