the witching hour, chapter three

M | core four, timkon | haunted house fuckery! | 3/3 | 34k

Kon, Tim, Cassie, and Bart go to a haunted house (you know, the normal kind, with actors in costumes and spooky effects) for a bit of Halloween fun. All is well, until it isn't. Kon, Tim, Cassie, and Bart end up in a house that's haunted, alright. And it's not inclined to let them go.

{ from the beginning. }

Drip…

Drip…

The massive, clawfoot tub in the corner is full of dark, murky water. Kon eyes it balefully. Every few seconds, another drop falls from the leaky faucet and sends ripples across the surface.

Cassie blows out an explosive sigh. “God, this place gives me the creeps.”

She scowls at the dusty, cracked mirror set over the vanity. Kon catches her eye in the reflection and tries to offer a reassuring smile, but he’s not sure if he actually pulls it off. This place gives him the creeps, too.

“Well, yeah, I think that’s the point of a haunted house,” Tim says absently. He’s on his hands and knees, halfway into the cabinet under the sink and peering around with a tiny penlight, because of course he has a little penlight in his pocket even when he’s dressed up as a sexy ghost for Halloween. “It’s supposed to be creepy.”

Bart rolls his eyes, glances between Kon and Cassie, then mimes kicking Tim in the ass. Cassie snorts.
