Cassandra Carter was once a shy, unassuming young woman with a tendency toward clumsiness. However, her life changed forever when she inserted a magical exercise tape into her VCR, which bestowed upon her supernatural strength beyond that of any mortal. Adopting the title of the Olympian, Cassandra uses her newfound powers to champion liberty and justice for all, albeit with a touch of awkwardness.

Joker Audio Drama - Patient #0801
youtube
Hey there! I just posted the first in what hopefully becomes a series of audio dramas featuring the Joker. The premise is that these are recordings taken from the files of Dr. Michael Lincoln, Arkham's latest psychologist, as he conducts audio interviews with the clown prince of crime.
The vibe I'm going for is something akin to the session tapes you can collect and listen to in the Arkham games. If that sounds of interest, please give it a listen! I do all the editing, writing and voices myself, so I would greatly appreciate it if you checked it out. And if you enjoyed it, feel free to drop a like or comment. It really does mean the most 😊 Thanks!

Wonder Woman & Joker: Handling the Truth
I hate the idea that Wonder Woman's lasso doesn't work on the Joker because he's so twisted and crazy and blah blah blah. Here's a scene from my AU of what would happen if Diana actually used her lasso on the Joker and how the fight would pretty much be over before it began:
Wonder Woman: (She wraps her golden lasso around the detained Joker) No mortal, mad or otherwise, can resist the power of my golden lasso.
Joker: Oh, how cute, but the rodeo left town weeks ago. Still, if you let me go, I know a clown or two that might be able to-
Wonder Woman: (The lasso glows as she tightens her hold) Silence your prattling and tell me why it is you cause such mindless chaos!
Joker: Why? Because... Because I'm horribly insecure... Wait a minute, I didn't mean-
Wonder Woman: Insecure? How so?
Joker: (He struggles in vain against the magic rope) I don't have to tell you jack! I... I hate myself. I hate the freakish clown I've become and I want everyone else to feel as miserable as Batman's made me.
Wonder Woman: So, you still blame Batman for the circumstances you put yourself in?
Joker: (defensive) Because Batman is to blame, you C-rate swimsuit model! He's the one who dropped me in that vat of chemicals! He made me... Unless... Maybe... Oh God...
Wonder Woman: Unless what?
Joker: (Realization dawns on him) He... He didn't drop me... I jumped. I jumped because I was scared. I didn't want to go to jail. I've been lying to myself this whole time. I couldn't handle the truth.
Wonder Woman: The truth is our only hope at freedom, Joker. Now say it, say it for all to hear. What truth is it that you've denied yourself for so long?
Joker: (Tearfully) The truth is... That I ruined my own life. All this time, before the chemicals, before the Bat. I could've been different, but I chose to be a criminal. He didn't force the gun into my hand.
It's always been My choice, it's always been my fault. I... I... Stop it! For God's sake please, stop it! Take it off! It's... It's not funny anymore.

Today is the Joker's 85th anniversary, having appeared all the way back in 1940 with Batman #1. To commemorate the occasion, here's one of my all-time favorite Joker moments. These two panels cut the core of what makes the character work and the primary reason why, in my eyes, there hasn't been a truly great Joker story in well over a decade. It's about time someone put the clown back in the clown prince of crime. *Sigh* Regardless, dreadful birthday, dear Joker!
